Kanto Retold Chapter 2

MegaBoi the Charmander chirped happily, and started dancing around.
	"Oh, okay then, I guess MegaBoi is a good name for that thing" Dr. Marceau went to his computer desk to pick up a mug that read "#151 Pokemon," "Hey, I ordered something from the Viridian City Pokemart, can you go pick it up for me?" Musical nodded, and walked out of the laboratory.
	"Finally, a Pokemon Journey! I'm going to have so much fun, I'll meet new people" Musical's eyes glistened in the moonlight as she looked up "...and new Pokemon!" Musical walked further into the grass, but screamed as a Rattata jumped out from the grass.
	"Wait, I shouldn't be afraid of this creature!" Musical struck a pose, and pointed at the rat "MegaBoi, scratch it to death!" Musical watched as MegaBoi scratched at the Rattata, sending the rat into a coma. Musical smiled as MegaBoi grew a bit taller. He had slightly sharper claws, and the fire on his tail burned brighter.
	"Radical! I'm guessing that MegaBoi leveled up from making that awful creature faint!" Musical smiled, and continued walking through the route, stopping as she saw a man. The man was wearing a white shirt, black slacks, and a purple apron with a Poke Ball pattern embroidered into it.
	"Hello rookie trainer! The Pokemart in Viridian City has started a promotion to give starting Pokemon Trainers a sample of our finest healing items!" The man gave Musical a purple bottle. It seemed to be filled with a clear liquid.
	"What is this thing?" Musical asked, stuffing the bottle into the pocket of her turtleneck.
	"That, my friend, is a Potion! It consists of the finest water, mixed with crushed  Oran Berries! If your poor Pokemon is on the verge of fainting, using this Potion will heal even the most critical of injuries!" Musical simply stared at the man, and walked away with the Potion, carrying MegaBoi.
	"Well, I guess this Potion could help, but the rats and birds here are so weak, I don't think I'll need-" Musical stopped, looking down to see an Oddish by her foot.
	"Reeeeeee!" The Oddish screeched a battle cry, and bit MegaBoi, sucking nutrients out of the Charmander.
	"Darn it, it's the Oddish from an hour ago. MegaBoi, Scratch it!" MegaBoi jumped out of Musical's arms, and scratched the Oddish, leaving the radish Pokemon fainted. MegaBoi's flame burned brighter, and Musical continued walking until she got to the Pokemart.
	"Yes, it is Musical from the glorious Pallet Town, just gimme the thing Marceau ordered!" Musical commanded. The clerk, however, was asleep, so Musical simply grabbed the parcel labeled "For Prof. Marceau" and walked out of the building. The walk back was seemingly easier due to the ledges Musical could jump down from to avoid the grass. As Musical jumped down the last ledge, she saw SSN running into the lab.
"Ugh, that short, awful gremlin! He's probably getting like a Porygon just because he's the Professor's nephew!" Musical barged into the lab, glaring at SSN, and handed the parcel to Prof. Marceau.
	"Thank you Musical, this parcel has something really important in it. SSN, please let out your Pokemon, and Musical, set yours on the ground." Musical set MegaBoi on the ground as SSN struck a pose, sending out his Pokemon, Flippers the Magikarp. Out from the box, Prof. Marceau pulled out two black ties, putting them on the Magikarp and Charmander, then grimaced as they both fell off.
	"Ugh, I forgot. Pokemon in the Kanto region were bred to be stronger than those of the Johto region, but can't hold items." Prof. Marceau frowned, then turned to his desk. He walked back to SSN and Musical, handing them five Poke Balls.
	"Those things are used to catch wild Pokemon, go crazy."
