Each leader chooses an element for their cohort, drawn from the ranks of either the Elemental Guard or the Elemental Legions:

Fire: When you successfully complete an Assault action, inflict Panic equal to half your Fire ring.
Water: When you successfully complete a Rally action, remove casualties equal to half your Water ring.
Air: When you successfully complete a Challenge action, remove Panic equal to half your Air ring.
Earth: When you successfully complete a Reinforce action, reduce attrition taken by half your earth ring until the start of your next turn.
