Pokemon Adventure! 7

Kaorin Sakura:
Last time, Team Oak foiled the plans of a hungry Zorua and freed the Museum of precious food stuffs and Danny and Ramora dealt with a photographer. A Pokémon hatched and things were learned about the origins of these strange and powerful Pokémon. Just as things seemed to be calming down and coming to a close, Venec comes soaring in from the skies in the clutches of a Pidgeot, of which carefully places him on the overly hot ground.
Kaorin Sakura:
Welcome to the world of Pokémon!
DNA:
Cepheus noted that Venec dropped majestically down from the sky on the wings of a majestic bird. It would be the sort of thing to swoon at, except he wasn't female. Jupiter wasn't swooning either but he was impressed.
DNA:
He noticed that Danny was conspicuously absent from the group. Not sure why.
Kaorin Sakura:
In the clutches ,not on the wings. He was in its talons.
* Ramora kneels next to Eevee and smiles, peting him on the head. "He wasn't lying, you really are lazy."
DNA:
(it's called being poetic)

Kia:
Kia shakes her head chuckling. "Always has to make an entrance."

Venec:
Venec would have noticed the heat if it were not for the volcano earlier that day. He smiled and waved to the others, "Hey!"

Cepheus:
"Hello, Venec! How have you been?"

Kia:
"Hey...how are you?..How was it at the police station?"

Venec:
"Hot. Sun's bright when you get way up high," he said as he wiped his forehead on his coat's sleave, "in fact it's pretty hot here..."

Cepheus:
"Now that you mention it, it is. Hard to believe it was torrenting the night before."
DNA:
Somewhere, someone discreetly stopped downloading software at the mention of Cepheus' remark.
Ramora:
"Can't see that as a reason to keep you locked up in a pokeball though. Wanna walk around alittle with me?"

Venec:
"The police? Oh they just wanted some information on what happened. I tried to give the impression that I was alone to save you guys some trouble, but I think they got it out of me that I was with a group. They didn't pry further so they got what they wanted." Venec shrugged, "Considering the string of bodies tied to the egg maybe they already know what's going on and wanted to get a witness."
Kaorin Sakura:
Bolt looked up at Ramora very slowly and simply gave a blank stare.

Cepheus:
"Got it, got it. Nice to see you back again."

Kia:
Kia nodded solemnly. "Dead bodies do seem to be the common thing around here lately..."
* Ramora smiles. "Comeon, Bolt." Walks over to the Pokemart portion of the Pokemon center and begins to browse the wares.

Venec:
"I found another one actually, and an egg." Venec held out the blue-red egg.
Kaorin Sakura:
Ramora leaves the group with Bolt, entering the Pokémon Center and stepping over to the mart where a yawning Young Joy resided.

Kia:
"We also found another dead body...along with three other eggs." She sighed. " Not sure what we got ourselves into.."

Venec:
"I also caught a fire squirrel thing. Adena took her down one hit so I'm not sure how tough she is. I'll have to train her some."

Cepheus:
"Another egg? It's like we're each getting one of these..."

Cepheus:
"Speaking of which, I need to go check on mine, but before I do..."
DNA:
Cepheus got out his Pokedex to scan Venec's egg, as well as figure out what thoughts of his own he could draw from it.
Kaorin Sakura:
The Pidgeot looks over Venec, content that he got to his destination safely and flapped its wings hard, lifting itself off the ground before disappearing into the sky as quickly as it had come.

Venec:
"You can use that on eggs?"

Kia:
"Really? Good job!" Kia looked thoughtful for a moment and then began to rummage through her bag. "I found this the other day training and thought you could use it!" She hands Venec a fire stone. "None of my pokemon have any use for it."
* Ramora waves at the yawning Joy, before grabbing 5 pokeballs and walking over to the counter. "Hello."

Venec:
"Wow, thanks! Is there anything you want in return?"
DNA:
"Kinda, but all it gives me is a general idea."

Kia:
Kia shook her head. "Naw that is ok. Better put to use than sitting in my bag. "

Narrator :
"Pokémon egg. There is a distinct electrical current flowing through the center of the egg and its outer shell layering is compressed to hand deep-sea pressure."

Narrator :

Venec:
Venec looked at the stone with mixed feelings before putting it in his coat pocket.
DNA:
"Sounds like a Chinchou or something..."

Venec:
"I have no idea what that is."
DNA:
"Although, it could just as easily be a gene splice."
DNA:
"A Chinchou? ...Do you know what a lanternfish is? It's a deep-sea fish that uses bioluminescence to see things."
* Young Joy yawns for a moment before instantly waking at the sight of Ramora.
DNA:
"It uses weak jolts of electricity to stun its foes."

Young Joy:
"Hello, hello! What can I do for ya today? Hm?"

Kia:
"I am guessing it is a gene splice based on our other hatched pokemon."

Venec:
"I'm a lake and river guy, sorry..." Venec shook his head, he still hadn't heard of the thing.

Cepheus:
"From what I've heard, at night their lamps have been known to glow beautifully."
Ramora:
"I'm looking to buy these items, and was wondering if you could tell me about some of the things I've found coming here."

Cepheus:
"Ah, I see. Suffice it to say that it's a sort of fish that uses electricity and can light up its surroundings."
DNA is disconnected.
DNA is disconnected.

Young Joy:
"Yus, yus! I can explain stuffs to you. Oh, and that'll be a flat 1000¥."
DNA has connected.

Venec:
Assuming his pokemon were all small enough size and should get to know each other, Venec moved himself to an unpopulated corner and sent them all out.
DNA:
Cepheus then decided it would be a good time to head back inside the Center and check on his own egg. He rushed to the kitchen and opened the freezer to analyze the contents inside.

Narrator :
The egg shaked periodically and seemed to pulse slightly.
* Ramora pulls out the money and hands it to Joy. "Thank you." Begins pulling items out of his bag and places two on the counter. A Dome Fossile, and a destiny knot. The other two he holds out. An Everstone and a thunderstone.
DNA:
"Wish Danny were here. He might be able to tell how many hours are left for this thing."

Cepheus:
"Although, I honestly doubt it's more than 5..."
* Young Joy pauses for a moment before examining the items.

Kia:
Kia watched the other's depart and smiled down at Artemis. "I guess everyone is busy running their errands. What do you say we go and get some more pokeballs?" She and Artemis make their way back inside the pokemon center.

Young Joy:
"That fossil is an aged Pokémon Bone. Some scientists can get them back to life. The other item I have no idea. The other is an Everstone. The Everstone stops all evolution and Thunderstone is an evolution stone that works on things llike Pikachu."

Kia:
As she enters the mart section she spots Ramora busy at the counter and begins to browse the selection.

Narrator :
All of Venec's Pokémon are released into the public and instantly line up in front of him.
DNA:
He slowly closed the freezer door to leave the egg to rest, then went up to the shop to see what new wares they had.

Narrator :
You find that there are no new wares for someone without any badges, ribbons medals or trophies.
DNA:
The same old stuff. Figured. Ah well, time to go look somewhere else for something new...
Ramora:
"Everstone. Why would someone willingly stop their pokemon from evolving?" He asked putting the balls fossile and destiny knot in his bag.

Venec:
Venec scratched the back of his head, "Well, we're all a team now and will be that way for a while. I figured you'd want to get to know each other." Venec gestured to each one, stating their names, 'Layla, Adena, Rhea, Enya, Luna and Nike."
DNA:
Cepheus went to the request board in the Center to see if there was anything new. The Ekans nest got taken care of (sorta), the Fighting-types were at the lab, and the phantom thief was gone...but wasn't there anything else?

Jupiter:
(Nike? I lol'd)

Narrator :
(The Ekans Nest was never dealt with.)
DNA:
(Oh. Right.)

Narrator :
The group of Pokémon introduces each other before beginning to play with one another.

Kia:
Kia thoughtful picked up two antidotes and two potions. She then wandered over towards the counter so that she could wait patiently for Ramora to finishup.

Narrator :
Trades Will trade Emolga for Pachirisu. Male. Will trade Maractus for Tangela. Female. Will trade Audino for Kecleon. Female. Will trade Purrloin for Meowth. Male.
DNA:
(Are the offers the ones on the left or the right?)
* Young Joy titls her head to Kia as she approaches and smiles.
Ramora:
(Offers are right I think cause it list the pokemons sex)

Young Joy:
"That all?"

Narrator :
Offers are left and wants are right.
Ramora:
"How do this one work?" He asked holding up the thunderstone. "Do I make them eat it?"
DNA:
Cepheus gives a quick look over the trades and skips over it. Nothing that can help any of them. What else besides the requests and trades was on the board?

Kia:
"Yes I thin." SHe smiled at the young girl. "How are you today? Venec's back in town ya know.." She gave the girl a small wink and handed the nurse her money. "Also, Great job during the battle Ramora. "

Narrator :
Nothing new was on the board.

Venec:
Venec had been sheepishly trying not to catch Joy's eye.

Young Joy:
"You slap the Pokémon with it. Well, not really slap, but they need to touch it."
Ramora:
"Thanks Kia. Cirrus and Steelix did an awesome job."
DNA:
Cepheus shook his head slightly in disappointment and began to head back over the the lobby. Then again, the crew was in the shop, so why not just head over there? He did.
Ramora:
"Just a touch?" He knelt next to Bolt, and touched him with the stone. "Like this?"

Young Joy:
"Kia, that will be 500¥. And yus, I know. I sensed him come in. I'm just working and can't do anything. Yet..." She looks over to Venec and her eyes narrow into thin slits. Almost instantly, her face returns to the normal bubbly one she usually expresses.

Venec:
Venec felt a nervious chill run through him. He wasn't quite sure what it was.

Kia:
"They really did. I'm glad to have you on board with such a strong team." She watched as the boy touched the eevee. Kia blushed a little as she watched the exchange between the two. Hopefully she hadn't hit a raw spot...

Narrator :
The stone causes Bolt to give a faint glow. With an explosion of light and radiancy, the stone is absorbed into Bolt's body and with a painful cry, Bolt begins to change shape and grow, its voice changing from a light and pained one to a deep and confident one. In moment, the once Eevee is now a Jolteon.

Kia:
She then procedes to hand the nurse the money. "I think it is all there."

Young Joy:
"Yus, it is. Thankuu!! Please, come again. We have all your healing needs for your inevitible injuries."
* Ramora is shocked still, watching as Bolt glows and changes.
DNA:
(Did she just say 'inevitable'? Then again, no use dwelling over that,) Cepheus thought. (I've already thought of this once before.)
* Ramora regains himself and stands up. "Bolt?" He questions for a moment staring down at the spikey yellow pokemon.

Kia:
"Interesting..." Kia takes out her pokedex and scans the new creature. "Although that evolution almost looked like it hurt...I wonder if it does hurt." She began to look thoughtful.

Young Joy:
"You could always eat a Rare Candy and find out."

Narrator :
Bolt looks up at Ramora and looks oddly attentive.
Ramora:
"Yeah." He said after a moment. "Maybe an everstone is neccessary."

Venec:
Venec sits and watches his pokemon play, bouncing little Luna on his knee.

Kia:
Kia looked questioningly at the nurse. "I guess if I ever find one I will have to try..."

Narrator :
You suddenly hear a loud crash from from the kitchen.
DNA:
He got lost in thought again. This time, he was thinking of ways he could aid Grace in becoming stronger. That's what she'd wanted, but he was always at a loss as for exactly what to do. ...Then again, why not just ask Grace himself?
* Ramora turns towards the kitchen looking at the door.
DNA:
...Wait, what was that noise? Cepheus figured it had something to do with him, so he was the first to dash to the scene.

Kia:
"What was that? Your egg??" Kia looked over at Cepheus and began to make her way towards the kitchen.

Cepheus:
"Probably, and if not I'm about to find out..."

Venec:
Venec watched them run, shrugged and looked over his own egg to see if it looked close to hatching.
Ramora:
Follows after the two as they dash into the kitchen. "Comeon Bolt."

Narrator :
When you enter the kitchen, you find a large blue beetle-like Pokémon standing amongst the ruined ice box.

Cepheus:
He rushed over to the freezer to survey exactly what this blue beetle was.

Narrator :
The Pokémon looks up at the group that enters and gives an angry glare and a cold huff of breath from its face.

Kia:
Kia takes out her pokedex and scans the new creature. "What in the heck is that thing??"

Cepheus:
"I'm a bit curious myself..."

Kia:
"Uh-oh...maybe the freezer wasn't a good idea."
Ramora:
"It doesn't look to happy."

Narrator :
"Pinsir, the Stag-Beetle Pokémon. Bug type. It grips prey with its pincers until the prey is torn in half. What it can't tear, it tosses far."

Jupiter:
Jupiter had other ideas. He was already one step ahead of everyone else, and so he tapped the Poke Ball to summon Grace. She'd probably be able to talk to it just fine.

Kia:
"ummm..." Kia takes a few uncertain steps back.
* Grace looks up at the new Pokémon and almost instantly steps back out of fear, obviously intimidated.

Cepheus:
"Oh my...a Pinsir that can breathe ice?" Cepheus stated.
Ramora:
"That doesn't sound pleasent. Do something Ceph."

Narrator :
Pinsir looks down at the tiny and flimsy looking Pokémon. Its mandibles flex and its horns crunch as its moves, "Sssssssssserrrrrrrrrr."

Cepheus:
"Let's see if I can figure out what's going on in its head..."
* DNA rolls: 1d100-16 => 21 - 16 = 5

Cepheus:
"I don't think it's friendly towards any of us. Perhaps we should let it alone, but I don't want to leave it here like this...or let it anywhere near the rest of our Pokemon."

Cepheus:
Cepheus loses 76 hit points.

Cepheus:
Cepheus is healed and gains 66 hit points.
DNA:
(typo)

Artemis:
Kia frowned "It is just a baby still...and we have to figure a way to get it out of here..."
Ramora:
"So, what you wanna do? It is yours."

Cepheus:
"Yes, I know it's technically mine, but it's technically also my fault it's angry."

Venec:
Venec stood up and walked over to Joy. "H-hello Joy. Um... I'm sorry I got arrested in the middle of our... um... our...date," Venec said, stumbling over his words as he usually did when starting a conversation with her.

Artemis:
"Didn't like the ice much did it?" Kia sighed. "Well we could always try to lure it out..."
* Pinsir steps forward towards Cepheus.

Pinsir:
"So, the fleshy-thing can speak?"
* Ramora sighs and shakes his head. Reaches back grabbing a pokeball and throwing it to the floor. "Go! Bronzor."

Cepheus:
"Yes...and apparently so can you."

Young Joy:
"It's alright. I had fun though. Did you?"

Cepheus:
"That's a relief; I was afraid you might not understand me..."

Pinsir:
"Quite hostile, the lot of you. Afraid. As you should be."

Venec:
Venec smiled and nodded, "Yeah. I haven't caught anything like that fishing before. It was a little scary."

Cepheus:
"Afraid, yes. Hostile, no. I certainly don't intend you any harm."

Kia:
"Were not hostile..." Kia tried to give the creature a small smile.

Cepheus:
"It's a marvel that you can speak human language, though. Not something I'd expected."

Pinsir:
"Not hostile? Yet you increase in numbers. Why should I think otherwise? Had I suddenly increased in numbers, you'd assume the same of me."
Ramora:
"It's talking." Stares at Pinsir then back to the group and back to Pinsir.

Young Joy:
"I thought it was really fun! Haven't fished out a Gyarados in a long while!"
* Ramora Returns Jolteon to his pokeball.
* Pinsir growls in annoyance.

Cepheus:
"Increasing in numbers doesn't equate to hostile intent. I came here to check up on you after hearing the freezer explode. I didn't come here to harm you."

Pinsir:
"Judging by tthe dimwitted looks of your friends here, I assume most like myself can't. A pity."

Pinsir:
"Check up on me? And who are you to me?"
* Grace fear suddenly subsides at the comment and her expression changes to that of clear anger.

Cepheus:
"Fair question. I'd found your egg in a storm, just lying there half-submerged in the water. I figured the best thing to do would be to try and get it to hatch."

Artemis:
Artemis gave a small annoyed growl.
Ramora:
"Obviously you weren't listening to the conversation we where having. We were debating on a way to bring you out of here without harm."

Cepheus:
"And right now you appear to be stuck in the freezer. We want to try and get you out, but I want to be sure you don't mean us harm before we attempt to do so."

Venec:
"I don't think I've ever hooked a gyarados. I would have tried to catch it if I did. Have you seen my new pokemon?" Venec gestured to his team. "I think I'm going to stick with this crew for a while."

Pinsir:
Pinsir turns to the red-head, "A simple misleading trick is quite obvious. I know not the lot of you and out of the blue a large groups of creatures appear 'claiming' such things. Why would I be inclined to believe something so quickly." Turns to Cepheus, "A troublesome tale. I see little reason to believe such a thing. But it's not a matter of importance now. What is it you want with me?"
* Young Joy looks over Venec's team.

Young Joy:
"Is...is...is that a Victini...?"

Venec:
"I'unno." Venec shugged.
* Young Joy scoffs at Venec's remark, placing her hands on her hips.

Young Joy:
"You don't even know the species of your own friends? How cruel!"

Venec:
"I've never seen one before, but she had some charisma so I had to catch her."

Venec:
Venec visibly sulked at Joy's words.

Cepheus:
"What is it that I want with you? what I want is to help you get out of that freezer, and also so that we can come to an understanding. What is it that YOU want?"
* Young Joy watched Venec's reaction and frowned. Slowly, she found herself before him and her arms slipped around him, enveleoping him in a hug.

Narrator :
The freezer is destroyed.

Venec:
Venec 'meeped' in surprise and froze up.

Pinsir:
"It's simple. Knowledge and Power. The only two elements that matter."

Cepheus:
"...The only two that matter? What makes you so sure about that?"
* Ramora shakes his head and leaves the kitchen, returning bronzor to his pokeball.

Venec:
Ramora walks in to the room at about the same time as Venec builds the courage to hug Joy back.

Pinsir:
"Evolution and extinction. That makes me so sure. And I will follow any that can promise me such."

Young Joy:
"I'm sorry if I hurt your feelings. But you owe it to your friends to know them. You have a Pokedex. Ignorance is no excuse. Be good to your friends!"
DNA:
Cepheus began to think of the words he was going to say next. Granted, he couldn't deny the ideals behind the Pinsir's words, but something to him seemed...off...
* Ramora glances at Venec but continues on to the other side of the room to the console. Puts a ball in changing pokemon out. (Ferroseed for Charmander)

Cepheus:
"What about such things as happiness and friendship? Do you see any merit in those things? and why?"

Venec:
"Y-yeah. I've just never heard of a... victini? ...before. All my other ones I have."

Kia:
Kia smiled at Cepheus's response. For her...those were the things that mattered. She rubbed Artemis's head affectionately.

Pinsir:
"They are of great importance! The purpose of Knowledge is to judge friends from enemies and to find enemy weaknesses. The point of Power is to protect those dear to you. What do these things mean to you?"

Young Joy:
"Well, let me help you here. Victini is a Legendary Pokémon! Amazing too! Sought after for its ability to tilt the favours of Victory to its owner! Or itself. Or its friends. Plus, it's a cutey!"

Venec:
"Oh... .... .... .... waitlegendarywhat?"

Venec:
Venec replied in shock.

Young Joy:
"A Legendary Pokémon. Similar to Mew, actually. Or...was it Jirachi?"

Cepheus:
"What do friendship and happiness mean to me? Friendship allows me to know I have allies in whom I can place my trust and who I know will always have my back. As for happiness...it's those moments of happiness, I feel, which make life truly worth living, and not just a continuous sequence of monotonous events.

Pinsir:
"The right ideals but how will you protect those you put your trust in?"

Kia:
Kia and Artemis quietly excused themselves so that pinsir and Cepheus could work things out. It was apparent that there was going to be no need for alarm.

Venec:
"I've HEARD of Mew before." Venec seemed to be lost somewhere between surprise and incredulousness.

Young Joy:
"They mainly pose as other Pokemon. So, they're hard to find."
* Pinsir steps over to Cepheus, giving a loud thud with each step.

Pinsir:
"But, you say you hatched my egg. That would make you my Parent...hmm..."

Kia:
As Kia walked out she heard Venec's voice exclaim something about Mew and then noticed that he was with nurse joy. She decided it would be best if she made her way outside.

Cepheus:
"I don't deny the importance of power. I just don't believe that is all that matters to the exclusion of all else."
Danny has connected.
Kaorin Sakura:
The world outside is no longer filled with bright sunnyness or incredible hotness. Instead, it's a dark and gloomy day now. Cloudy sky, no sun-light and a slight chill in the air.

Danny:
"I told you it would be hail!"

Venec:
"Huh? Where'd you show up from?"

Pinsir:
"No. Power isn't. That's why Knowledge is there. I will be blunt. Can you teach me about the world and help me grow strong?"

Venec:
Venec wasn't really surprised that someone like Danny popped up out of nowhere, his question was one of genuine curiosity.

Kia:
"Well so much for that. " Kia sighed looking up in the sky. She pulled out Sarka and Vi's pokeballs releasing the trio.

Cepheus:
"Do you truly believe I'm capable of such a task, Pinsir?"

Danny:
"Magic."
* Pinsir shrugs.
Ramora:
Grabs the ball from the console and looks to the door, seeing Kia walking away from the center. Thinking that was a good idea he follows suit, jogging up behind Kia. "So how'd it go?"

Pinsir:
"I'm newly hatched. I know what it is I want. I want to grow. Not just in power but in knowledge and understanding. I know very little. I don't know how to judge potential but, if you hatched me, you are like a parent to me. Someone I'd prefer to follow initially, be that our views are drastically different."

Kia:
"Kia, hearing Ramora's voice, turns around and smiles. "It was going well when I left. A truly interesting pokemon..."
Ramora:
"Pretty angry if you ask me." Looks at the three four legged pokemon. "That your team?"

Cepheus:
"...That's perfectly understandable. Very well, Pinsir, I will take you up on your offer. First things first...get you out of that freezer."
DNA:
He tried to find a spot where he could reasonably pull or at least ease the insect's frame out of his cold prison.
Kaorin Sakura:
The freezer is broken and Pinsir had already stepped up to Cepheus.
DNA:
(Disregard that, then.)

Kia:
"He was starting to soften up when I left..." She looked back at the trio and smiled down at them. "Yup..that Zorua is the newest addition. I caught her while you were battling. I was about to introduce them."

Danny:
"We should probably tell the Nurses about that."

Kia:
"I have two other's as well...an Audino and a Luvdisc."
Kaorin Sakura:
"Is there anything special we need to do in order for me to follow you?" Pinsir gestured to the balls at Cepheus' hip, "I noticed your small one here appeared from one. Is that customary?"
Ramora:
Pulls out two Pokeballs and releases Cirrus, Bolt and Blade. "Meet Cirrus, and Bolt. Bolt was an Eevee I traded from Danny. You Seen what happened of course."

Cepheus:
"Generally, yes. Pokemon are usually carried around in Poke Balls for both convenience and safety. However, if you wish to stay out, that is fine by me."

Venec:
As everyone seemed to move on to the other room to deal with the newly hatched pokemon Venec turned back to Joy. "Well," he started, "with any luck we'll be heading out of town today to get to pewter city to start the Gym Tour."
Kaorin Sakura:
"I imagine my chatting me cause some slight disturbances or unwanted attention if it isn't at all common. I would travel unnoticed preferably."

Kia:
Kia motioned towards the group of pokemon. "Art, VI...meet Sarka, Sarka meet your surrogate family. I hope you all will be able to get along." She smiled down at Ramora's pokemon. "Bolt was actually caught alongside Vi here...so those two are already aquainted. Venec has the third eevee that we caught that day."

Kia:
She motioned toward's her Umbreon when she mentioned Vi.

Kia:
"They might even be siblings...although I am not sure."
Ramora:
"Really. So they're family then?" Smiles at the Eevee duo. "I guess it's only appropriate to keep them up to speed with each other then.

Cepheus:
"Then that is acceptable." He put a Poke Ball by Pinsir. "...And do you have a specific name that you go by?"

Young Joy:
"Oh!! Gonna challenge the Stygian Gym? Good luck! I hear Carlos uses Black Pokémon."

Pinsir:
"You're my parent. I feel it appropriate for you to name me."
Ramora:
"Who's Venec? Is it that dude that got dropped off infront of the Pokemon center by the pidgy?" He looks back at the center.

Venec:
Venec nodded, "Yep! Gonna beat him too!" Venec flashed his signature grin.

Kia:
"Agreed. I am happy that they still will be able to travel together." She looked over at Ramora confused for a second, but then realized he had yet to properly meet Venec. " I forgot that you two haven't met yet! He is the fourth addition to our team, and yes he was the one dropped off by the pidgey. He likes to make...grand entrances. " She chuckled a little.
Ramora:
"I noticed but was too caught up getting to know Bolt here." He gives a slight chuckle and rubs the back of his head in embarassment.

Young Joy:
"Good luck in that! I hear Carlos is pretty rough with his challengers. But, I have faith in you!"

Kia:
"Well that is understandable. Having a new pokemon is always exciting. You will get to know Venec soon enough. " As she spoke she glanced back at the pokemoncenter wondering how everything was going. She then looked briefly up at the sky. "We should be leaving soon..I hope it doesn't rain again."
Ramora:
"So you guys been around here the entire time?" He places his hand on Cirrus' head and pets her.

Cepheus:
"Does Hyojin sound acceptable?"

Pinsir:
"I take it in pride."

Kia:
"So far yes. I actually live a few houses down ..." She turns in the opposite direction. "That way. I think when we finally leave I will count my pokemon journey as started."

Cepheus:
"Very well. Then, welcome to the crew."

Kia:
"Although so much has happened since I first visited professor Oak it is hard to say that.."

Kia:
Kia smiles down at Cirrus as Ramora pets her. "She is beautiful..but what type of pokemon is she?"

Venec:
"Thanks. I'll make sure to give you a video call whenever I find myself at a pokemon center." Venec smiled and nodded.

Young Joy:
"Glad you will! Gonna miss you!"
Ramora:
"I hope thats soon. Sorry to be so hasty, but I do have a goal to reach. Hanging around in one spot is tough for me." Stops for a second and looks down at Absol. "I don't know. I haven't pokedex'd her."

Kia:
"Have you gotten the chance to even use your pokedex yet?" Kia chuckled. "You should scan her, after all she is your pokemon."

Venec:
Venec smiled again, "Ah! I found some things visiting a volcano on the way back." He pulled out a syringe and the ID card he found on the body."
* Young Joy tilts her head as she looks it over in his hands,.

Young Joy:
"What're those things? I've never seen stuff like it before. You should show it to your blue-haired friend. He seems kinda smart."
Ramora:
"I used it 3 times total. I scanned a totodile, and used it to trade with danny." He pulls out the pokedex and looks at it for a second before scanning Cirrus. "I guess I owe as much to the Professor. I did kinda promise."

Danny:
Danny was relaxing with Larry at the moment. He liked doing that.

Kia:
"A totodile eh?" Kia frowned slightly sad she had missed that sighting.
DNA:
Over the other events, Cepheus could sense that Danny had just recently returned from some excursion. Reluctantly, he went over to meet him. "Where've you been?" he asked.

Kia:
"Pokedex's are also useful for providing random information like eating prefrences...although I'm sure you are already aware of that. Looks like you two have been together for awhile."

Venec:
"I'll be sure to do that." Venec pocketed the items, "But I think everyones just starting to wait around or everyone else to leave, so I'm going to try to herd the skitty." He smiled and with a second of hesitation gave Joy another hug.

Danny:
"Larry and I wanted to stop by home first. We forgot to tell mum we're leaving Viridian."

Larry:
Larry nudged Danny's leg.
* Young Joy quickly embraces Venec tightly.

Danny:
"Yeah," Danny said, nodding, "she did seem pretty angry about us vanishing for a few days."

Young Joy:
"You be safe out there!! I'll get worried if I don't hear from you for a while."
DNA:
"Ah, got it. That's understandable."

Danny:
"Of course," Danny replied. "I am always understandable."

Venec:
"Don't worry, I'm indestructable. Just ask my friends." He broke off, waved and walked over to Kia and Danny. "Hey, we should start herding our way to Viridian if we ever want to beat our first gym."
Ramora:
"A few days actually." Grabs another ball, releasing Vallus. "I actually grew up with him." Points at Vallus."

Venec:

Danny:
Danny looked confused. "I thought we were already in Viridian."

Larry:
Larry nudged Danny's leg once again.

Danny:
"Oh, Pewter," Danny nodded.

Kia:
"I grew up with her.." She points toward's Artemis and then turns to Venec. "Shouldn't we finish up that ekans mess first. Also Venec this is Ramora, Ramora...this is Venec. Ramora is the newest addition to our team. "She motioned to each of the boy's as she said their names.

Venec:
"The forest. I forgot Viridian was also the city's name.."

Danny:
"I must have misheard."

Danny:
Danny got up, charisma writtten all over his face, and with a big smile he yelled, for all to hear in the PokeCenter, "Let's go! I believe in us!"
Ramora:
"Umm... Nice to meet you." He said, to Venec offering his hand to shake.

Kia:
"Hey Danny!" She smiled at Danny. She had been completely oblivious to his arrival.

Danny:
Danny waved.

Venec:
With a grin Venec firmly shakes Ramora's hand, "Venec. Venec Myles! Nice ta meetcha."

Larry:
Larry waved as well.

Larry:
Very slowly.

Kia:
"and a hello to you too Larry. " She chuckled as she turned back toward's Danny. "Glad to see you are so enthusiastic."

Jupiter:
Jupiter wasn't exactly pleased to see Danny again. Then again, when was he ever?

Venec:
Venec made sure to rally all his pokemon before leaving, only Layla outside her pokeball.
Ramora:
"Hey Danny. How's Steelix doing?" Returns all his pokemon cept Bolt.

Kia:
Kia returns all of her pokemon except for Artemis. "So did you guy''s want to take care of that Ekan's nest while we go through Viridian forest?"

Venec:
"Eh, we might as well leave some jobs for the other trainers in the area. Besides once we solve it we'll have to return to Viridian City for the reward. I say we move straight on through, ignore as many disractions as we can."
Ramora:
"I like this guy." Ramora smiled at Venec, nodding his head. "Didn't think anyone here would think like me."

Cepheus:
"So, the plan of action is just to head straight towards Pewter?"

Kia:
"Are you sure we wouldn't be able to collect the reward in Pewter?" Either way Kia shurrged. "It makes no difference to me."

Venec:
Venec nodded, "Catch what we can on the way but don't get involved in anything that makes us double back to the center for care."
Ramora:
"I'm not gonna debate either way, but I like Venecs plan."

Kia:
"Alright well let's get going..." She began to trudge towards the forest.

Venec:
"Is something wrong?" Venec asked.

Kia:
As she walked she glanced over at Cepheus. "So how did things go with that pinsir?"

Kia:
"No?" Kia looked over confused as to what Venec meant or if he was talking to her.

Cepheus:
"How did things go? He's decided to come along with me. He feels that I would serve well in helping him to find his life's purpose."

Venec:
"Ah, sorry. I thought I heard something in your voice." He smiled and shook his head.

Cepheus:
"...He's a rather amiable fellow, actually."

Kia:
She stuck out her tongue and chuckled. "Don't worry I just want what is best for the team. It is hard to upset me, but if you did you would know." As Cepheus talked she turned and nodded in his direction. "He seemed to be a really interesting pokemon. I think you two will make a great team."

Artemis:
Artemis nodded his head feriously toward's Venec at the mention of Kia being angry.

Cepheus:
"I certainly hope so. Speaking of which..." Cepheus turned to Grace, "what do you feel about this? I know you didn't get along well at first, but will you be all right?"

Danny:
"He's doing fine. He's in his ball at the moment."
* Grace shrugged indifferently.

Venec:
"Ah, by the way." Venec took out a syringe and the ID card, "Cepheus, do you know much about this? I found it in a volcano so I doubt it was meant to be discovered."
Ramora:
"Glad to hear it. By the way. Meet Bolt, the pokemon you formerly knew as Barry." Points to the Spiked Eevee behind him. "Think he'll win a contest?"

Cepheus:
"Darkrai Genome?" Cepheus pondered. "Not exactly sure what that might mean, although I've heard that Darkrai causes nightmares. And this syringe obviously belongs to someone who doesn't want it found. The first opportunity we get I think we should turn this in to the police. It's possible this is a sample of what's allowing the gene splicing."

Cepheus:
Then, a quick nod at Grace, "He does, but I don't think he means you."

Danny:
"Wow." Danny gasped. "Barry/Bolt looks way cooler now."
* Grace eyes the Syringe with obvious interest.
Ramora:
"I, ummm.. Accidentlly made it evolve." Rubs the back of his head again.

Cepheus:
"...Grace, I am not doing anything that could endanger your life."

Venec:
"Adena evolved as well." Venec sends out his now much fluffier companion.

Cepheus:
"Neither of us know what this thing will do and I don't want you to find out the hard way."

Danny:
"That's okay," Danny said. "When I went back home, I was reading some books on PokeMon going back to previous forms in evolution. It's a rare thing, but you can make them turn back!"

Artemis:
"Along with Vi.." Kia sends Vi out as well.
Ramora:
"Umm.. Why do they all look different?" Glances over the three Eevolutions.

Venec:
"Eevee is neat like that. It adopts to the elements. Adena evolved after taking down what I have since been informed was a Legendary fire-type pokemon while we were training in a volcano."
* Grace reaches for the syringe.
Ramora:
"I poked Bolt with a Tunderstone I found in a cave a while back."

Cepheus:
Cepheus raised his hand, and the syringe, out of Grace's reach. "We don't know if it will. For all we know it could kill you."
Ramora:
(Thunderstone.)

Artemis:
"Vi evolved that night we were training in the rain..,"Kia smiled. "Took me by surprise."
* Grace gives a pleading look to Venec.

Danny:
"Anyway, let's walk and talk."

Danny:
Danny began the trek into Viridian. Larry alongside him.

Artemis:
Kia followed with Artemis and Vi trotting alongside her.
Ramora:
Falls in behind Danny, Bolt beside him.

Venec:
"Your trainer is making you stronger, now stop trying to take the coward's way out. You can become strong on your own, everyone here believes in you."

Venec:
Venec recieved the ID and Syringe from Cepheus, assuming he was willing to return them.

Narrator :
As you all exit outside of the Pokemon Center, you notice a chill in the air. Within moments, you find yourselves exiting out of Viridian City and along Route 2 toward the Viridian Forest. You notice that many of the wild Pokémon gives your group a wide girth.
DNA:
(Yes, I will return them to Venec0

Danny:
"Yeah," Danny said, nodding, "We really should've gotten some armour before we left."

Danny:
"Too late now!"

Cepheus:
"Why are they making way for us?"

Danny:
And Danny continues walking.
* Grace pouts and returns herself into her Pokéball out of frustration.

Danny:
"We're like PokeJesus," Danny said.

Artemis:
"Professor Oak did say something about that didn't he?" Kia sighed thoughtfully as she returned Vi.

Cepheus:
"About what?"

Artemis:
"...oh I was talking about the about the armor...I have a bad feeling about everything." She looked nervously around.

Venec:
"Rumors are spreading?" Venec shrugged. "Pokemon are smart and we keep beating them up."

Cepheus:
"Is fear like this even natural?"
Ramora:
"We? I just got here."

Artemis:
Kia shook her head. "Either way I don't think they would all run from us...maybe we should try asking one.." Kia looked around to see if any of them was close.

Narrator :
You find yourselves back at the Rest Stop between Route 2 and the Viridian Forest. It still looks charred some but all of the contents have been removed. Including the doors.

Danny:
Danny released Dandy. "Hey," he said, "you know why these 'mons are afraid of us?"

Cepheus:
"Kia, don't overexert yourself..."

Venec:
Venec shrugged again, "If there is some big bad pokemon in the woods scaring them off we just punch it until it goes away."
Ramora:
"Only if it stands in our way. Wasn't that the agreement? Straight to Pewter city?"

Artemis:
"good point...." Kia said replying to Cepheus. "I tend to do that.."

Danny:
"I, as leader of Team Oak, support Venec's idea."

Danny:
"We punch it until it goes away."

Artemis:
Kia frowned..."Although I am not sure about that plan as well." She looked over at Danny. " Can Dandy feel anything?"

Artemis:
"or read any of their thoughts...or something.."
Danny whispers: Do you feel anything Dandy?
You whisper to Danny: Fear. It could very well be the large size of our group. But otherwise, just a ton of various Bug and Ghost Pokémon in the forest.

Cepheus:
"Read thoughts?"

Narrator :
I failed to notice this scan: "Absol, the Disaster Pokémon. Dark type. Rumored to sense disasters with its horn, it became a target. It fled deep into the mountains."

Cepheus:
"Grace is a natural telepath; should we ask her?"

Kia:
Kia nodded. "I think that would be a good idea. Alway's be prepared...atleast that is what my father would say."

Cepheus:
"All right; I'll see if she's willing to help." He released Grace; "do you know these Pokemon are stepping so widely for us? are they afraid?"

Narrator :
As you all enter the Rest Stop you exit it just as quickly as you entered with the sheer lack of anything of interest to stop you. When you exit the other side, various sounds of Pokémon cries echo cross the dark forest. Full of corded trees hunched over and towering far above, much too dense to let any but the small breaks of light creep under the foliage.

Narrator :
You quickly find your vision lacking here and that you can see but only a few feet from you before things become far too difficult to make out.

Venec:
Venec returned Layla and Adena and sent out Nike.
Ramora:
"This may be a problem." Looks around incapable of making any of his surroundings out.

Danny:
"Oh, it's dark," Danny said. "Dandy was right. This place is perfect for ghosts and bugs."

Danny:
"Quick! Everybody look for a sign of a Caterpie!"

Venec:
Venec shrugged, but was a little amused. "Home sweet home."

Narrator :
Nike emits a faint light from its body to shed some light onto the area. You can now see a good 15 ft. around you in a radius, much like that of an old lantern.
DNA:
Cepheus was rather impressed at venec's new companion. It was something he'd never seen before,a ctually, so he decided to 'Dex it to see what came up.

Kia:
"How useful." Kia smiled at the small pokemon.

Danny:
"Wow. You're cat is awesome!"

Danny:
Goes back to looking for Caterpie!

Venec:
"She's a squirrel." Venec insisted.
Ramora:
"Interesting." Ramora said glancing over the pokemon. "Well, that makes it alittle better."
DNA:
"Squirrels usually have bushy tails. Hers look more like wings."

Narrator :
"Victini, the Victory Pokémon. Fire and Psychic type. This Pokémon brings victory. It is said that Trainers with Victini always win, regardless of the type of encounter. "
You whisper to Danny: would you llike to make a search check for Caterpie's?

Cepheus:
"Victini? Wow, I've never heard of that one before. Learn something new every day."
Danny whispers: Woo! Hell yeah!
* Danny rolls: 1d20+4 => 4 + 4 = 8

Kia:
"Me either...although I hope that bit about victory isn't true. I still owe you that rematch."
Ramora:
"Specially in my case. We were rarely exposed to pokemon so everday is something new to me."

Danny:
"Yeah, yeah, it's V-squirrel. Now to the Caterpie!"
You whisper to Danny: you find the casings of hatched Metapods.

Venec:
Venec laughed, "Well it can't be tested. There's no precedent, I've never lost."

Danny:
Danny pointed in an exagerated fashion. "Look! Metapod casings!"

Narrator :
Danny very clearly points out the hatched casings of Metapod.

Danny:
"Caterpiiieeeeeee~ where are yooouuuuu~?"

Venec:
"That description was different than the first one I scanned. Does that mean multiple scans get multiple data entries?" To test this Venec prompty scanned Kia.

Cepheus:
"Most likel-wait, why are you scanning her..."

Venec:
"We've already scanned her once."

Cepheus:
"You did? I must not have been around for this."
Ramora:
"I thought we were going straight through." Watches as Danny foolishly looks around shouting for a caterpie. "Either way, you more liable to scare away whatever your looking for, Danny."

Kia:
Kia blushed. "Don't you dare scan me again..."

Danny:
"But I am charismatic!"

Danny:
"If anything, my shouts are soothing!"

Danny:
"Follow my voice Caterpie!"

Danny:
"Follow the sounds of your very own PokeJesus!"

Jupiter:
Jupiter appeared to be glaring at Danny in disapproval. He did not like the sound of Danny's voice.

Jupiter:
His eye narrowed to a slit...

Narrator :
"Kia, female member of Team Oak. Age 16. Most commonly owned Pokemon is Dark type. Most commonly owned colour is Black. Was the first of her team to obtain an evolved Pokémon. Her disposition has been tagged at the 'token female' among the team. Her home town resides in Viridian City."

Danny:
Danny looked back and stared at Jupiter. "My voice seems to only attract Jupiter. What a pain."
Ramora:
"Any noise, besides the noise of other pokemon would scare them away, I think. Or draw the angry ones towards us." Looks at Cepheus. "Kinda like his Pinsir."

Danny:
"No Jupiter," he said, shaking a finger at him, "you can't be my disciple."

Danny:
"Bad."

Jupiter:
Jupiter was not amused. He didn't even want to be Danny's disciple. He thought Cepheus was much more entertaining.

Danny:
Danny returned back to yelling for Caterpie. "Caterpieeeeee~"

Venec:
"Huh. Interesting."
DNA:
Noticing this, Cepheus decided to scan himself just to see what kind of reaction it would provoke.
DNA:
He thought he'd probably regret this but also didn't care.
Ramora:
"Dark type trainer. So you related to the black Gym leader or is that just a chance of luck?"

Kia:
"No I have no relation...I didn't intend to be a dark type trainer...it just happened to fall that way I guess," She chuckled. "But I do find that they have a certain charm."

Danny:
Looking for Caterpie further check!

Narrator :
"Cepheus, male member of Team Oak. Has an incredibly diverse team. Most commonly owned Pokémon colour is blue. Most common type is Ice. Out of the team Cepheus has constantly shown signs of vast Pokémon knowledge which shows that he has little use for the Pokédex for other than to test his own knowledge. He has proven to be slightly timid or have just caught incredibly pushy Pokémon."
Ramora:
"Umm guys. Danny's wondering off."

Danny:
Is totally wandering off.

Cepheus:
"Pushy would probably be an understateme-oh, you're right. Should we follow him?"

Larry:
Is keeping tabs on him. Along with Dandy.

Venec:
"I'm watching. Just let the guy get his caterpie."

Cepheus:
"All rihgt, I'll stay at a distance."
Ramora:
"Umm. Not really a choice, less you want him to get eaten. There's some big pokemon out there." Follows behind Danny.
You whisper to Danny: you find a Caterpie. Amongst various other bug types.

Danny:
"I found 'em!"

Danny:
"Heeeeeee~"

Kia:
"He has been wanting one for awhile.." Kia watches Danny as he apparently finds one.

Danny:
"I found other doo-hickey bugs as well."

Cepheus:
"Is his life's dream to catch a Caterpie?"

Narrator :
Loading...

Danny:
Danny marches into the group of bugs. "Hi!" he says all happy-like. "I'm Danny!"

Kia:
Kia chuckles and follows Danny curious to see what he had found,
Ramora:
"Apparently, and nows his chance." Stops at a distance and watches.

Danny:
"Caterpieeeee!~"

Narrator :
The Pokémon are obviously hostile.

Kia:
"Uh Danny...I dont think you should be standing there..."

Danny:
"Why?"

Danny:
"Caterpie is my friend!"

Venec:
"I'm mostly worried about having to go back for recovery once we get far enough in here to lose another day. Simple catches like this souldn't be a problem. Viridian has a pretty unique ecosystem as far as kanto is concerned, it might be the last chance to catch some of the things that live here."

Cepheus:
"Danny, don't let your enthusiasm kill you."

Kia:
"He doesn't look like your friend at the moment."

Danny:
Danny tries to use his best, most puppy-like eyes on the Bug PokeMon present!

Danny:

Kia:
Kia nods at Venec's words as her eyes fall upon the Venonat. " I guess I should catch a bug pokemon if our next gym is a dark type...might help my team a little..."

Narrator :
Caterpie does not find you enthralling.
Ramora:
"As I said. I'm not going to debate, I am the newest one here. I'll simply follow." Stares at Danny for a moment. "What is he doing?"

Cepheus:
"He's trying to use his people skills to win them over. It's not working."

Danny:
"I will give you the world, Caterpie!"

Cepheus:
"...If I'm not mistaken, there looks to be a shiny Butterfree in that group..."
Ramora:
"Apparently..." Grips a pokeball at his side looking down at Bolt. "You want this one buddy?

Narrator :
The Pokémon look at themselves before all of you and suddenly charge you.

Venec:
"I dunno, I can't see more than 15 feet."

Danny:
"How can you betray me like this Caterpieeeee~"

Narrator :
Please, place yourselves along the map and with your starting Pokémon.

Kia:
Kia takes out Lala's pokeball and calls her out.

Cepheus:
"Grace, it's your turn. Try to be safe; those bugs won't show mercy to you."

Dandy:
Dandy totally hid back into her ball. She was a lover, not a fighter.

Narrator :

Ramora:
