Tia Ƹ̵̡Ӝ̵̨̄ƷᎦ: I actually once played a Princess Cadence that was actually a brain washed Queen Chrysalis. It was a bit of a mindfuck though because what had happened was Chrysalis had actually killed Cadence and took her place, got found out and defeated by Celestia, and driven by grief Celestia had cast a powerful mind spell on her, making her not only believe she was Cadence, but locking in her shapeshifting ability to Cadence, and because Chrysalis had stolen not only her identity, but also her memories in order to infiltrate better, Celestia brain washed her into that form.. Figuring since Chrysalis had taken Cadence away from her, she would have to give a Cadence back. It was a lot of mind break stuff, and psycho play.....
Sweetie: That sound sway more intense than the usual sort of things that I would play. But everyone fucking loves Cadi and Cryssi. I can only imagine what the climax(s) would have been like. Would Shining armor understand? Twilight sure as hell wouldn't. What would Luna do? what happens when you finally confront the sun god?
Sweetie: Or you know; what the hell happened to your minions!
Tia Ƹ̵̡Ӝ̵̨̄ƷᎦ: Well that was all over with.... Queen Chrysalis had been defeated by Celestia, and when she went to search for Cadence, Celestia found her dead.... but this broke her in a way, and she went to mindwash chrysalis into replacing Cadence, and it was a lot of this new "Cadence" finding out she wasn't who she thought she was.....
Sweetie: Oh? so there was never a proper confrontation about effectively killing two people to keep up the facade of gembutt?
Tia Ƹ̵̡Ӝ̵̨̄ƷᎦ: Crysalis pretty much drained Caddy to death, taking her memories and such... that's why Celestia was able to force her into continuing to play Caddy.... after Celestia had her way with Chrysalis, she really believed she was heart-butt and just went on with her life, at least for a while.....
Sweetie: I have to say it is pretty Grimdark but I would certainly play it.
Tia Ƹ̵̡Ӝ̵̨̄ƷᎦ: Eventually she "woke up" and had to choose between her life as queen of the changlings, probably a broken and scattered hive by now, or does she continue her new life that has brought her as much love as she's given, though now she also wonders if it meant as much given that she found out she wasn't really the princess of love....
Sweetie: That is a really tough choice; do you continue to smile and nod; and just pretend everything is alright; or do you seek out a scattered and broken tribe.

Tia Ƹ̵̡Ӝ̵̨̄ƷᎦ: but I think if it went on, the hive would have felt foreign, or at least felt like she wasn't a queen any longer.. maybe spending some time there would change her back to the way she was, but she probably would conclude she was a different person now, and perhaps go to Celestia to have another brainwashing or something....
Tia Ƹ̵̡Ӝ̵̨̄ƷᎦ: It would be like remembering how you killed yourself... which is pretty mindfucked. >.<...
Sweetie: I wonder what the catalyst would be; I mean for the start of the role play and eventually melt down. I also wonder what would be the rising action would be!  An old friend perhaps, another changling (or a witch hunt?), a slip of her husband’s tongue. Assuming that he is even onto it. Or even some John Carptenter’s the Thing body horror? How does one feel when they have holes forming in their hands and legs or their hair changing color? What about one’s horn becoming gnarled and twisted. Also; what is the extent of Sunny’s manipulation? Could such a spell work on a large scale too?

And I can only imagine how it would end; good, bad or even something more nebulous. What about The faux princess' relationships strained and maybe even broken (who knew, who didn't know? old friends, new friends?) After a long and subtle discovery; knowing full well that she has to keep up the act for as long as possible if she wanted to get some meaningful answers.

Crysi/Cadi confronting (alone, or in a public place?) Celestia; green flames flickering and burning around her body. Which shape would she choose? Bugbutt, Lovebutt or something twisted and in between? wondering exactly how long that she had been living a lie and just Stepford smiling. And the whole back philosophical back and forth. What about her new duties in the crystal kingdom?
Sweetie: There is just; so many different hooks to explore.
Tia Ƹ̵̡Ӝ̵̨̄ƷᎦ: I know.... you could start from the same starting point and have so many stories branch out.... I could make her into her own char, it's pretty interesting.... actually could probably write a fanfic or something
Sweetie: It would be a wonderful psychological horror X3 I might have to find a pony willing to do something so terrible.

Tia Ƹ̵̡Ӝ̵̨̄ƷᎦ: I'd want to write up a fanfiction that starts out as a more slice of life cadence story after she's married, but then slowly slips downwards into a psychological horror, gradually revealing the terrible truth....
Sweetie: I certainly wouldn't be able to make a character around something like that; given that the best ending you are going to get would be a bad ending; the other options are all just worse.
Sweetie: Those are the best; the first few normal chapters; than things subtly go wrong and than worse and worse. And it all just unravels

Sweetie: Exactly. The best ending has a Stepford smile; blissfully unaware and doing her job of spreading and feeding on love.
Tia Ƹ̵̡Ӝ̵̨̄ƷᎦ: interestingly enough chryssie's changeling magic is pretty attuned to love, so her being able to replace cadence really does fit well.
Sweetie: Exactly. Because her magic never changed anything; it just made people arbitrary love each other like the love poison did. Like; in end of the two part episode she had forced a couple to stop arguing with her little hearts and junk. Holy fuck that was hard to track town
