  4. Garrath: Ha! That all you got, Cerul!? Surely you can take out armies better than that! I trained you better, I just know it!
  5.
  6. Cerul: Well of course you're getting more kills than me, you've had about 1000 more years worth of training!
  7.
  8. Garrath: So you're calling me a cheater, eh? Well, let me remind you, that even though I'm immortal, I still have to worry about death like the rest of you guys, you know that!?
  9.
  10. Cerul: Hmm...that reminds me.
  11.
  12. Garrath: Hmm?
  13.
  14. Cerul: Before I forget, I need to ask you something.
  15.
  16. Garrath: What is it?
  17.
  18. Cerul: How did you become immortal, anyways? Like you've told me before, you're Hylian, so surely, it had to be some kind of magic that made you immortal, instead of some internal source, right?
  19.
  20. Garrath: ...Well, would you look at the time! Those enemies are coming! Listen up, why don't I tell you that story next time I can, eh?
  21.
  22. Cerul: Indeed. I look forward to it!
  23.

  27.
  28. Cerul: So, how about that story, now?
  29.
  30. Garrath: Right, I suppose now would be a good time to tell you. I was 25, had a wife. My life was complete, I was prepared to sit down, and do my job as a Hunter for my village.
  31.
  32. Cerul: What was your wife's name?
  33.
  34. Garrath: ...her name was Elena...there was a man who came to my village. A sorceror by the name of Elsin...a name I'll never forget.
  35.
  36. Cerul: What happened?
  37.
  38. Garrath: First...he came across like any normal man, a bit of an aristocrat, but still a normal peasant nontheless. One night, he just disappeared, nobody knew where he went, except for that he had a mansion north of the village, according to the man himself. The next night, however, monsters had come to the village, unlike any other monsters I had seen before. Some of them could talked, and screamed "All hail Elsin!" As they continued to slaughter my village....
  39.
  40. Cerul: Garrath?
  41.
  42. Garrath: I'm sorry, Cerul. I need some time to myself....
  43.
  44. Cerul: I see...well, feel free to come talk to me, when you're ready to.
  45.

  49.
  50. Garrath: Cerul...I believe I'm ready to continue the story.
  51.
  52. Cerul: Well then, if you feel you're prepared, go for it.
  53.
  54. Garrath: Right...after I had evacuated the villagers that weren't destroyed, I had gone to save Elena. She was a strong woman, so she was helping me clear out the village. However, she had gotten left behind. When I had gone to save her, I realized that the monsters were just gone, nowhere to be seen. Elsin was right beside my wife. He looked at me with the most menacing face I had seen in my life. As I had gone to destroy him for slaughtering the village, he chanted something, and I had gone limp. He told me something that I would never forget.
  55.
  56. Cerul: What'd he say?
  57.
  58. Garrath: "You will experience everyone you ever loved die." With that, he left. His mansion was gone, and I had stopped being limp later that night. When I heard him say those words, I knew exactly what he meant.
  59.
  60. Cerul: I see...he forced you to stop aging...as a curse, rather than a blessing.
  61.
  62. Garrath: Indeed, the first couple hundred years of this curse were the hardest years of my life. But you know what?
  63.
  64. Cerul: What is it?
  65.
  66. *Garrath pats Cerul's back*
  67.
  68. Garrath: Every year after that gave me opportunity. I could do do something for the entire world. I have nothing left to lose, meaning I'm free to do whatever I liked. Hahahahaha! I am Garrath, the immortal author! Even if my body dies, I will never die in spirit!
  69.
  70. Cerul: That's the Garrath I know! What do you say, after this battle, you and I start a celebration in your honor?
  71.
  72. Garrath: That would be wonderful! Hahahahaha!
