i want a dagger into minecraft

cons (deals less damage)   (has shorter range)   (doesn't have sweeping edge)
pros  (can be spammed)    (has a special meter that allows it to crit  with higher damage as it grows)

attributes:
While falling will the dagger build up a meter that gradually makes the dagger deal more damage. this means that surprise attacks from above is pretty powerful.

When sneaking will the same meter fill up but slower. it will not do full damage against players or mobs that moves faster then the default walking speed

I love the idea of a crossbow


Weapons I’m waiting for still:

Spears (nerfed tridents) tridents should be buffed so they do more damage and that each prong is dropped by an elder guardian

How trident would be crafted:
Prong, prong, prong
            Prismarine rod
           Prismarine rod


Longbow, longer range more powerful bow with longer pullback

I think the crossbow should be altered so that it isn’t more powerful than the bow, the selling point is that it fires instantly, no drawback.

And most controversial:

Muskets

A pistol version and a rifle version, holds 1 shot, knocks the player backwards 1 block when fired, and requres a crafting table to reload
It can be loaded with either a single shot or shotgun round

Single shot craft: iron ingot, paper, gunpowder
Shotgun round craft: 7 iron nuggets, paper, gunpowder

The rifle is more accurate (perfect accuracy on single shot and tighter spread on shotgun) while the pistol has wonky accuracy on single shot and wider spread on shotgun round

Idk how they would be balanced to make the rifle harder to craft than the pistol, or give it a disadvantage which makes the pistol better in some situations.

But their balance against other weapons is that they require a crafting table or crafting menu reload

How to craft reload if it were balanced for only table reload:

Ammo (single shot or shotgun), musket, flint in a row as such


How it would craft if it were balanced for crafting menu reload:

Ammo type, gun

Anyone else like these weapon ideas?

Don’t forget, with fireworks you can add up to seven Firework Stars. Even if they only do a few hearts of damage, 3*7=21 and that’s just over enough to kill an unarmed, unarmored player.

You can at least take a huge chunk out of their health from a distance, though, so don’t underestimate your opponent if they have a crossbow.

EDIT: I checked the official Minecraft wiki and apparently firework stars deal 2.5 hearts of damage and not 3 damage points, which would be a heart and a half. Redoing the math, that makes for 17.5 hearts of damage, with seven firework stars. We don't even know if the rocket itself deals damage, and already that can kill a player almost twice over. The good thing about this is that it doesn't actually destroy blocks, so you can safely have crossbow RPG rocket launcher fights in your important builds!

EDIT 2:  Actually, don’t go fighting with rocket launchers in your base. This is blast damage, not projectile damage, so you can’t have it only hit a single target. You wouldn’t want a wayward rocket to destroy your armor stands and item frames!

Fun fact irl the crossbows only upside was it was easier to teach an army to use however in large quantities it was very effective but the range was lower than that of a longbow at full draw, they were weaker than the long bow, a longbow equipped army had a way faster fire rate, and one of the only upsides was you could runaround with a loaded ranged weapon, however i guess it is better nowadays and was always better than the pea shooter that was a short huntingbow
