- ...
- Equestria, once was a nation that taught love and tolerance. A nation that gave love and friendship to anypony, and to anyzebra as well.
- [2/2/2014 9:29:11 PM] TheWanderingZebra: Back then could arguements be solved with something as simple as a pie fight. Back then could two arguing friends eventually make up. Back then would ponies be more accepting of those who were different than them.
- [2/2/2014 9:30:46 PM] TheWanderingZebra: ... But War, war changed that all. War in the end corrupted the nation that had once taught the ideals of friendship. Greed, Paranoia, Hatred ... No longer were differences accepted. No longer could Equestria solve it's problems with laughter. Now, it could only solve it's problems through bloodshed and propoganda against it's foes.
- [2/2/2014 9:33:39 PM] TheWanderingZebra: It was War that brought the collaspe of Equestria's society when the zebras set off the balefire bombs, consuming the lives of millions on those last days. And what the zebras did was that they left a legacy, a legacy of being the race responsible for the living hell that many ponies live today. It matters not if the sun now shines above the Equestrian Wasteland, to many ponies they have only hatred against the race that damned them to their fate.
- [2/2/2014 9:34:46 PM] TheWanderingZebra: Perhaps that's why our hero here has had a rough time living, being the very race that doomed Equestria into the Wasteland it is today. Wherever he goes does he see the scorn and hatred on many faces.
- [2/2/2014 9:35:07 PM] TheWanderingZebra: Why? What ever happened to those ideals of the past, the ideals that made Equestria so great?
- [2/2/2014 9:35:18 PM] TheWanderingZebra: War ... War is what happened.
- [2/2/2014 9:35:36 PM] TheWanderingZebra: **Prologue Session A: Start**
- [2/2/2014 9:36:59 PM] TheWanderingZebra: You've been traveling for quite some time. Where exactly, you don't really know ... unless you had had your compass out would you know that you were heading southwest. Probably to find a settlement to try and take a job or something. Who knows why you continue to hope that the Equestrian Wasteland will accept you.
- [2/2/2014 9:39:31 PM] Fordregha: Kivuli sighs, maybe just to hear something other than the wind or his hooves on the ground. Not the trail. Far to often a place full of traps and travelers, neither of which he really wanted to see at the moment. Still, it would have let him know that he was heading towards civilization so maybe they had more merit than he gave credit. A bit late for that now though. He pulls his old cloak tighter across his body and keeps walking.
- [2/2/2014 9:42:16 PM] TheWanderingZebra: The sun seems to set, Luna's night appears to be coming soon as Kivuli can eventually spot what appeared to be a town sign entrance in the distance, though from where he was right now and how dark things were coming could he not make out the words.
- [2/2/2014 9:44:05 PM] Fordregha: "Better than sleeping on the ground again." The zebra picked up the pace, moving fast, but not running for the town. Running would be likely to get him shot by jittery guards at the beginning of his shift.
- [2/2/2014 9:49:43 PM] TheWanderingZebra: Dust Town was what was said on the sign as the zebra entered the settlement. There were two guards standing with varmit rifles ready to face against any threat that came towards them. The two spot Kivuli as he came by. They seem to stare curiously at him for awhile, and once he got close enough did one of the guards confront him. "Alright, you know the rules. You cause shit in town, and you're either kicked out or shot at. Understand?"
- [2/2/2014 9:50:21 PM] Fordregha: Kivuli slows down as he approaches, making sure his rif
- [2/2/2014 9:51:25 PM] Fordregha: rifle is clearly visible and not brought to bear. "I know how this works." He stopped right in front of the guard who walked out to meet him. "Fine? Interrigation? Search?"
- [2/2/2014 9:52:59 PM] TheWanderingZebra: The guard began to search through Kivuli's Inventory for 2 minutes. He then stops, getting out of Kivuli's way. "You seem safe ... for now. Just keep in mind that nearly everypony has a gun. Capice?"
- [2/2/2014 9:53:51 PM] Fordregha: "Then not everyone is smart." He steps past the guard, looking for anywhere that he could be down for a night. "I won't cause any trouble."
- [2/2/2014 9:57:28 PM] TheWanderingZebra: Dust Town appeared to be a run down western style settlement. A few buildings appeared to have collasped on itself, while a few other seem to have been under repairs by the town folks. There did appear to be one builiding that would catch anypony's attention. "Dust Town Inn". Simple name, appeared that nopony was creative enough to come up with a better name.
- [2/2/2014 9:58:51 PM] Fordregha: "Oh wonderful. One of these towns." With another sight, Kivuli approached the Inn. He steps inside as quietly as he can, not knowing the scene he would find inside.
- [2/2/2014 10:01:45 PM] TheWanderingZebra: Inside could Kivuli find himself on the first floor of the inn. Apparently it also served as a bar of sorts, a few ponies appear to be drinking away their worries and speaking with one another, trival things such as who's dating who, trading business, and other news from the Wasteland. Music could be heard coming from the jukebox (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OD4hSJybyCY) The green unicorn stallion at the bar counter however didn't appear to show the same smiles as a few other ponies were having, a frown on his face as he levitated out a cloth to the cup he was cleaning.
- [2/2/2014 10:02:58 PM] Fordregha: Kivuli bit back a growl at the choice of music. Always fucking country this far out. He walks up to the counter. "I'd like a room."
- [2/2/2014 10:04:27 PM] TheWanderingZebra: The barkeep gave a sigh of annoyance, he didn't appear to enjoy his job. Wonder what's been making him still operate this place. "Yeah, rooms are 5 caps a night. Anything else you'd like?"
- [2/2/2014 10:05:46 PM] Fordregha: "No, that will work, thank you." He takes five caps out of his bag and puts them on the counter. "I sincerely doubt that lot will let me smash the jukebox."
- [2/2/2014 10:08:14 PM] TheWanderingZebra: The unicorn seemed to growl in annoyance. "Oh yeah, don't buy my shit. Complain about the only fucking jukebox that I could actually get to work. Complain about the only song that piece of shit can actually play. Oh, how about you complain about fucking room service while you're fucking at -" He then stopped himself, then shook his head with a sigh. "Sorry, stress and what not."
- [2/2/2014 10:10:50 PM] Fordregha: "I get that." Kivuli glances at the crowd inside the bar, then back at the stallion behind the counter. "Problems?"
- [2/2/2014 10:12:32 PM] TheWanderingZebra: "Yeah, every traveler isn't buying my shit, just came to spend 5 caps a night and just leave without buying anything. Fuck, the only ponies who actually spend anything here are those guys." He said, pointing to the current number of ponies. "They're the only ones who even bother buying alcohol here."
- [2/2/2014 10:14:21 PM] TheWanderingZebra: As Kivuli could count, there were only 5.
- [2/2/2014 10:14:38 PM] Fordregha: He nodded. "I could see how that would be a problem."
- [2/2/2014 10:15:34 PM] TheWanderingZebra: "Yeah, and because they live here sheriff says I have to give them a fucking discount. If it wasn't for those fucking zebras I probably would of lived better." He said in an annoyed tone as he continued to clean his cup.
- [2/2/2014 10:16:04 PM] Fordregha: Kivuli bites back a sigh. "I suppose."
- [2/2/2014 10:17:44 PM] TheWanderingZebra: At that moment could Kivuli hear the doors opening as a pink earth pony mare with a dark orange mane entered in. She appeared to be speaking with the 5 ponies currently inside, tears appear to come out of her eyes as the five ponies look at her dismissivly. "Fuck, great, her." The barkeep said ... always in an annoyed tone.
- [2/2/2014 10:19:04 PM] Fordregha: "Do I want to know?" He eyed the situation rather passively. Not something he had any perspective on anyway. And it was obviously bad. Probably not something to get involved in...
- [2/2/2014 10:21:29 PM] TheWanderingZebra: "That mare, Mayflower, she can't find her son. He's been missing for two days now after he went out of the town's boundry. If you ask me, I'd say the little trot is dead now. She's been asking around town for ponies to form a search party for him. But the sheriff sees it as a lost cause." The barkeep says as Mayflower begins to cry even more, rushing out of the bar in hiccups.
- [2/2/2014 10:23:28 PM] Fordregha: Kivuli watches the door she ran out of for a while. He shouldn't get involved. There was no reason to get involved. He would be out of town by morning anyway. Not enough time to- "Oh Luna fuck me with a spork," he brought hoof to face, "where does she live?"
- [2/2/2014 10:25:42 PM] TheWanderingZebra: "Really? Why do I care? She lives on the second house on Ash Street, has a flower painted on her door by her son, can't miss it." The barkeep said. "And are you going to pay for your room now?"
- [2/2/2014 10:26:29 PM] Fordregha: "I already paid." Kivuli turns and heads for the door. "Which way is Ash street?"
- [2/2/2014 10:28:10 PM] TheWanderingZebra: The barkeep looks down to see the caps on his desk. Must of been too frustrated to notice them at first. "Right. Two blocks to the right from here."
- [2/2/2014 10:29:04 PM] Fordregha: "Thank you." Kivuli leaves the bar turning towards Ash street. "Seriously Luna, go get the spork." He starts his search for Mayflower.
- [2/2/2014 10:30:33 PM] TheWanderingZebra: The house wasn't that hard to find with the directions the bar keep gave. Mayflower's home indeed has a childish appearing painting of a flower on her door.
- [2/2/2014 10:31:31 PM] Fordregha: "At least it's a color other than trail dust." He steps up to the door and calmly knocks on it.
- [2/2/2014 10:32:45 PM] TheWanderingZebra: A minute passed until the door opened, Mayflower's eyes red from crying. "Y-yes?"
- [2/2/2014 10:33:41 PM] Fordregha: Kivuli gets straight to business. "I understand your son is lost. Where should I start looking?"
- [2/2/2014 10:34:23 PM] TheWanderingZebra: "Y-you're look for him?" Mayflower said in tearful disbelief at the thought of a random stranger offering to help her.
- [2/2/2014 10:34:31 PM] TheWanderingZebra: You'll*
- [2/2/2014 10:34:41 PM] Fordregha: "Got nothing better to do."
- [2/2/2014 10:35:54 PM] TheWanderingZebra: Mayflower eventually gave a hopeful smile at Kivuli. "Really? Oh thank you!" She said, tightly hugging the zebra.
- [2/2/2014 10:36:25 PM] Fordregha: Kivuli does sigh this time and pats her on the back. "Where should I start?"
- [2/2/2014 10:38:59 PM] TheWanderingZebra: Mayflower let's go of Kivuli, blushing in embrassment a bit before she responded. "R-Right. My sun usually likes to play outside of the town near the abandoned playground. I would of gone out myself to look for him, but after a raider attack two days ago the sheriff wouldn't allow me to look for him."
- [2/2/2014 10:40:42 PM] Fordregha: "It's always the fucking raiders isn't it?" Kivuli surprises himself by silently praying he doesn't find what he knows he's going to find. "Where is this playground?"
- [2/2/2014 10:45:56 PM] TheWanderingZebra: "It's east of Dust Town. Please, please promise me you'll bring my little colt back. He's all I have left after my husband died." Mayflower said pleadingly.
- [2/2/2014 10:47:12 PM] Fordregha: "I will do all I can." He takes out his compass, using it to figure out which way is east. "I will try to be back with him by morning."
- [2/2/2014 10:47:59 PM] TheWanderingZebra: "Thank you." Mayflower said. "I-I don't have much, but I promise I'll pay you if you bring him back."
- [2/2/2014 10:49:19 PM] Fordregha: "Don't trouble yourself." Kivuli starts heading east, keeping an eye out for the playground.
- [2/2/2014 10:50:48 PM] TheWanderingZebra: It takes probably 7 minutes to reach the playground. Surprising that it's still stands up after 200 years of wear and what not, though everything seems quite rusty.
- [2/2/2014 10:53:14 PM] Fordregha: "Well this is definitely the place." He was slightly surprised that no one had torn it down by now. Metal was metal after all. Kivuli starts walking around in expanding circles from the center, keeping his eye out for anything out of the ordinary.
- [2/2/2014 10:56:24 PM] TheWanderingZebra: You can definitly see evidence that a young foal was playing in the old sandbox ... you wonder exactly if that's even sand that's in there with it appearing gray and what not. But Mayflower's child doesn't seem to be in si- hold on, it looks like you can spot somepony trotting off to somewhere. Perhaps he might know something.
- [2/2/2014 10:57:14 PM] TheWanderingZebra: ... It's rather important that you notice the pony is wearing raider armor. Mayflower mentioned a raider attack awhile ago, no?
- [2/2/2014 10:58:00 PM] Fordregha: Kivuli narrows his eyes. He decides to follow this pony. Quietly if at all possible. He pulls his cloaks hood up and crouches low to the ground before heading after the presumed raider.
- [2/2/2014 11:02:45 PM] TheWanderingZebra: Ah, crouching to the ground, for some reason that makes everyone be all sneaky and what not. It's an art form of stealth that's been passed down from generation to generation. Nopony knows why it works, but who cares?
- The raider is completely unaware that he's being followed as he heads into what appears to be an abandoned wind mill, opening the front entrance and closing it.
- [2/2/2014 11:03:51 PM] Fordregha: "I'll give them points for originality," Kivuli mutters under his breath. He attempts to creep his way up to the building, looking for an opening from which he can peak inside.
- [2/2/2014 11:04:42 PM] TheWanderingZebra: Smart choice to look for other entrances. There's another door to the side of the windmill, though there appears to be locked right now.
- [2/2/2014 11:05:20 PM] Fordregha: Kivuli clicks his tongue in annoyance. He brings out a screwdrive and a lockpick and gets to work making the door more accessable.
- [2/2/2014 11:07:20 PM] TheWanderingZebra: The lock becomes unlock by Kivuli's master lockpicking skills, humilating the weak lock system with simply a screwdriver and bobby pin. Ponies from the past really should of come up with better security. The door is now open for Kivuli.
- [2/2/2014 11:08:02 PM] Fordregha: Kivuli allows himself the smallest of smiles and, quietly as he can, nudges the door open to take a peak inside.
- [2/2/2014 11:08:31 PM] TheWanderingZebra: It appears to lead upstairs to the mill.
- [2/2/2014 11:09:52 PM] Fordregha: Kivuli takes a deep breath and slowly steps inside. His eyes dart to both sides, looking for any sign of a threat as he sneaks his way into the presumed raider base.
- [2/2/2014 11:11:54 PM] TheWanderingZebra: None, seems completely pointless to guard a door that's been locked for ages. As Kivuli trots up inside could he find himself at a ledge spiraling upwards in the interior of the windmill. Down below could he see the raider entering into a room.
- [2/2/2014 11:12:50 PM] Fordregha: Kivuli gets the suspicioun that if the child is inside, he will be at the top floor. He frowns in annoyance and eyes the raider below him, waiting to see if the pony will climb the stairs.
- [2/2/2014 11:16:10 PM] TheWanderingZebra: The raider indeed is heading upstairs, having taken a ladder to reach the ledge past Kivuli. He doesn't seem to notice the zebra as the raider trots up stairs into a room.
- [2/2/2014 11:17:37 PM] Fordregha: Kivuli inwardly curses all luck that had ever come into existance. Things are more difficult than he would have liked. He tries to repeat his trick from earlier and quietly follow the raider up the stairs.
- [2/2/2014 11:20:48 PM] TheWanderingZebra: Damn, this raider must be pretty distracted in his mind or something, he suspects nothing at all! It's easy for you to each the door, which has a key hole to take a peek inside. Kivuli can hear voices coming from within the room.
- [2/2/2014 11:21:29 PM] Fordregha: Kivuli does infact use the keyhole for something other than its inteded purpose. Best to know what he's getting into and all.
- [2/2/2014 11:23:06 PM] TheWanderingZebra: "So, found any slavers willing to take the little fucker. Last night he nearly bit my fucking hoof off." A raider mare said to the raider that just came in.
- "Course I didn't find any shity slavers. Too many Goddess damned 'heroes' out fucking with business. Fuck, I hate that Light Bringer."
- [2/2/2014 11:24:33 PM] Fordregha: Kivuli once more allowed himself a small smile. The child was alive. Things were already far better than he ould have hoped. And incredibly convenient, but he wouldn't dare question. He listens in, hoping they might say where the colt is being held.
- [2/2/2014 11:26:43 PM | Edited 11:26:57 PM] TheWanderingZebra: "Again, I say we just eat him. Who the fuck is going to buy a child anyway?" The other raider said, giving an annoyed glance from the female raider who seemed to be in charge.
- "And after wasting everything trying to raid Dust Town, you think we'd get nothing from it! Grinder and Jackass are dead now, and if I don't get something from this waste of time I'd be pissed!"
- [2/2/2014 11:28:05 PM] Fordregha: Two less to deal with. These two were just an absolute fountain of good news. Now if they could just give him his destination, he might get out of here without having to shoot anyone.
- [2/2/2014 11:30:48 PM] TheWanderingZebra: "The kid's still in that atic right?" The first raider asked the leader.
- "Yeah, the fucker is still there. You didn't think I'd listen to Sawblade and eat him did you!" The leader replied angerly at the first raider.
- "N-n-no mam." He said nervously.
- [2/2/2014 11:32:27 PM] Fordregha: Ask and ye shall recieve. Kivuli loses interest in the conversation and backs away from the door. He looks around for anything that might lead to an attic, trying to keep quiet...unless of course the entrance is in the room with the raiders...
- [2/2/2014 11:34:35 PM] TheWanderingZebra: The attic was a few more steps above upstairs. There doesn't appear to be any raider guarding the place. Perhaps the three were all that remained.
- [2/2/2014 11:35:27 PM] Fordregha: Kivuli is glad Luna is deciding to withhold her spork for the moment. He creeps up to the attic door, checking to see if it's locked, opening it slowly if it isn't.
- [2/2/2014 11:36:21 PM] TheWanderingZebra: It isn't, but the attic is certainly dark. A noise could be heard coming from in the attic, whimpering could be heard coming from one of the corners.
- [2/2/2014 11:38:07 PM] Fordregha: Kivuli doesn't bother looking for a light. He instead moves right towards the noise. He doesn't speak, but he does tap the floor once lightly to show there was someone in the room.
- [2/2/2014 11:39:37 PM] TheWanderingZebra: A closer look would reveal a young earth pony colt at the age of 8, a blue coat with a white mane. It appears as if he hadn't eaten in while. He cries, awaiting for what he thinks are the raiders to come towards him again.
- [2/2/2014 11:40:34 PM] Fordregha: Kivuli lowers his hood to let him see that he is definitely not a raider. He also brings a hoof up to his face and silently tells the young colt to be quiet.
- [2/2/2014 11:42:56 PM] TheWanderingZebra: The young colt appears to be in surprise at whom his savior is non other than a zebra. But taking a look at his eyes could the colt see that Kivuli showed no mean to harm the colt. He slowly nods to the zebra, seeming to get it's message.
- [2/2/2014 11:43:32 PM] Fordregha: Kivuli smiles and moves closer to the colt, checking for any chains or traps that might be keeping him tied up.
- [2/2/2014 11:44:18 PM] TheWanderingZebra: It seems they kept him on a collar chained to the wall. There's a lock that can be picked.
- [2/2/2014 11:45:30 PM] TheWanderingZebra: The bobby pin breaks at Kivuli's first attempt. Not that it matters, he has a whole collection of bobby pins to use.
- [2/2/2014 11:47:00 PM] TheWanderingZebra: Two more attempts to unlock it have the same result. All hope seems to be lost until the fourth time succeeds.
- [2/2/2014 11:48:30 PM] Fordregha: Kivuli is a little embarressed to have taken so long, but doesn't show it. He does show how pleased he is when the collar finally detaches. He gently pulls it off the colt and sets it on the ground as softly as he can.
- [2/2/2014 11:51:20 PM] TheWanderingZebra: The colt appears to be happy beyond relief that he's free now. Up everthing seems uncertain as one of the raiders comes up to check on the colt. "Yo, you still fucking ali-"
- !
- He instantly spots Kivuli freeing their slave/emergency food.
- [2/2/2014 11:52:11 PM] Fordregha: "...Dammit, she's getting out the spork." Kivuli immediately turns and levels his rifle at the raider.
- [2/2/2014 11:54:53 PM] TheWanderingZebra: **Combat Initiat**
- ((Combat Theme: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vDQ6r72FiIs))
- [2/2/2014 11:55:37 PM] Fordregha: Kivuli wastes no time and immediately lets off five shots at the raider.
- [12:00:25 AM] TheWanderingZebra: "Ah shi-!" The raider said as he was hit three times by Kivuli. It also doesn't help the raider that he was still on the ladder, falling down to the floor taking a bit more damage to his back as blood began to pull from his wounds.
- [12:00:29 AM] TheWanderingZebra: !!
- [12:01:55 AM] TheWanderingZebra: The other two raiders take notice of the gunshots, instantly trotting out of their room as they saw their companion bleeding on the floor as he fired three shots towards the attic, hoping to hit Kivuli.
- [12:02:37 AM] TheWanderingZebra: Which, sadly, none of them were able to hit.
- [12:05:38 AM] Fordregha: Kivuli quickly motions for the colt to stay right where he is before moving to the attic door, aiming down, and firing four shots at the first raider to reach the ladder.
- [12:08:27 AM] TheWanderingZebra: The raider appears to try to get out of the way, but even how wounded he was and how his back hurt him had no time to avoid the gunfire as blood begins to splirt from the raider, instantly dying.
- [12:11:55 AM] TheWanderingZebra: "Oh fuck! He got Axe Chop. Motherfucker!" The raider leader said as she trots toward the attic door, firing off her .32 SMG in two burst fires.
- [12:13:55 AM] TheWanderingZebra: Two shots seem to get lucky and hit the zebra.
- [12:15:29 AM] Fordregha: Kivuli lets out a hiss as the shots impact, but otherwise is alright. He aims for the mare in charge and gives her the same treatment he gave her flunky, firing five shots down at her.
- [12:18:23 AM] TheWanderingZebra: "Fuck!" The raider leader says as she takes in the bullets. "You really think you're fucking lucky, but just you wait!"
- [12:18:53 AM] TheWanderingZebra: The last raider seems to get his nerves on after his turn was cut off by the zebra, firing three shots into the attic.
- [12:20:34 AM] TheWanderingZebra: It seems that the Raider leader seems to be more compitant than her lackeys as ever hit misses. Perhaps this is why they failed to raid Dust Town.
- [12:21:00 AM] TheWanderingZebra: "Fucking useless!" The raider leader says, once again firing two bursts into the attic.
- [12:23:39 AM] TheWanderingZebra: Only one shot is fired upon as the raider leader's SMG jams at her at the third round, cursing out profanity.
- [12:24:21 AM] Fordregha: Kivuli takes the hit in stride. "You shouldn't curse around a child." He lets off another five shots aimed straight for the mare.
- [12:26:40 AM] TheWanderingZebra: Those were the last words the raider leader could hear as lead rain invades her body, a hoof actually coming off as the leader tries to say one last thing, but the wasteland with it's cruelty prevents her from doing so as she lays dead with her companion.
- [12:27:19 AM] TheWanderingZebra: "AHHHH!" The last raider screams in fear. Seeing that he's in a loosing battle does he abandon the fight, heading towards the closest way to an exit.
- [12:29:30 AM] Fordregha: Kivuli lets him go, aiming down the sights for a full minute before standing and reloading. He backs away from the door and turns to the colt. "Are you okay?"
- [12:30:17 AM] TheWanderingZebra: The colt nods slowly. "Hm mm." His stomach could be heard growling.
- [12:31:14 AM] Fordregha: Kivuli steps up to him and pulls a can of veg out of his pack, opening it and handing it to the colt. "Here. We'll leave in a minute."
- [12:37:37 AM] TheWanderingZebra: The colt brightens up to the food, taking the can of veggies out and eating it happily.
- [12:39:03 AM] Fordregha: Kivuli also sets a bottle of water next to him. Dirty, but considering the state he's in, it probably doesn't matter. "I'm going to check the bodies. When I come back up, we'll head back to Dust Town." He heads back to the attic door and climbs down to where his kills are lying still.
- [12:40:33 AM] TheWanderingZebra: Ah, looting, the Wasteland was known to have many kleptomanics in the world. Both the Raider Leaders and the first raider's bodies could be found, their blood seeping into the cracks on the ledge, blood dripping to the floor below.
- [12:41:17 AM] Fordregha: Kivuli disspasionetly closes both sets of eyes before rumaging around their pockets, bags, bandoliers, anything that might hold something he could use.
- [12:42:35 AM] TheWanderingZebra: The first raider had 3 caps, 5 .32 Ammo, and a .32 Pistol that's in poor condition.
- [12:43:29 AM] TheWanderingZebra: The Raider leader had with her 8 caps, 12 .32 Ammo, and a .32 SMG that's been used.
- [12:44:10 AM] Fordregha: Kivuli takes the caps and ammo, but leaves the guns. Both of them look likely to break anyway. He climbs back up to the attic when he's done.
- [12:45:11 AM] TheWanderingZebra: The colt had just finished his lunch, looking up to his hero with a smile. "Thank you Mister. They've had me here for two days. I never imagined a zebra like you would be my hero."
- [12:46:21 AM] Fordregha: "I honestly wasn't expecting to go on a rescue mission so we both get a nice surprise." He kneels down in front of the foal. "Is your mother named Mayflower?"
- [12:47:14 AM] TheWanderingZebra: He nods. "She is. She's alive, I almost thought the raiders would of killed the town or something."
- [12:47:51 AM] Fordregha: "These idiots? They couldn't even kill one zebra." Kivuli stands up. "Come on. Let's get you home."
- [12:48:32 AM] TheWanderingZebra: The colt nods, happily following Kivuli. "Thank you mister. What's your name?"
- [12:49:20 AM] Fordregha: "Kivuli." The now named zebra proceeds down the stairs and starts to lead the colt out of the windmill, keeping an eye out for that last raider. "You?"
- [12:51:18 AM] TheWanderingZebra: "It's Color Filler. And that's a pretty funny name. What does it even mean?" Color asked as he followed Kivuli.
- [12:52:09 AM] Fordregha: "Not sure." He walks down to the spiral stairs and back to the door he unlocked sometime before. "Folks never did say."
- [12:52:37 AM] TheWanderingZebra: "Your folks? Where are they?" He asked as he followed.
- [12:53:23 AM] Fordregha: "Dead." Kivuli nudges open the door, scanning the outside for danger. "Died a while ago."
- [12:53:53 AM] TheWanderingZebra: "Died? What happened to them?" The colt said with a frown.
- [12:54:34 AM] Fordregha: "Bullets." Kivuli steps outside into the night with a deep breath. He takes out his compass and attempts to navigate them back to town.
- [12:55:27 AM] TheWanderingZebra: The colt appeared to got the idea, but still frowned. "I-I'm sorry. I was told that zebras were the bad guys, but you've been so nice to me."
- [12:56:15 AM] Fordregha: "Was told that too. Decided it was kind of dumb." He finds the direction and starts heading that way.
- [12:57:28 AM] TheWanderingZebra: "I think it's dumb too." Color said as the two finally reach back to Dust Town. The two guards appear to allow Kivuli to pass ... though appeared to look at him for awhile before focusing back on their job.
- [12:58:26 AM] Fordregha: "Then I'd say you're pretty smart." Kivuli makes his way back to Ash Street, the second house down with a flower on it.
- [12:59:27 AM] TheWanderingZebra: Upon reaching the door and after knocking on it can Mayflower be seen coming outside. "Mommy!" Color said as he embraced his mother, whom cries in joy at seeing her darling safe.
- [1:00:23 AM] Fordregha: "Back before morning," Kivuli says, watching the reunion. "Luna can keep her spork."
- [1:02:06 AM] TheWanderingZebra: Mayflower appears to look at Kivuli, appearing suprised for a moment, but smiles back as she hugs her child. "Thank you. Thank you so much." She then reaches into saddle bag and gives Kivuli 3 5.56 Ammo. "It's not much, but please, take it."
- [1:04:09 AM] Fordregha: "Thank you," he nods at her, returning the smile. Then it's gone. "There were three of them keeping him in a windmill outside of town. The leader and another are dead, but one is still out there somewhere. I'd stay out of the Wasteland for a while."
- [1:05:24 AM] TheWanderingZebra: "Thank you mister Kivuli!" Color said, with Mayflower smiling at the zebra. "Thank you. Kivuli ... it's a beautiful name deer. I won't forget it."
- [1:07:24 AM] Fordregha: "Well now you're just flattering me." Kivuli smiles again. "Both of you, have a good night." He turns and begins walking.
- [1:08:12 AM] TheWanderingZebra: They both wave at Kivuli as he begins to trot towards the inn.
- [1:08:50 AM] Fordregha: Kivuli keeps the smile on his face right up until he reaches the inn and steps inside, heading for the counter.
- [1:10:07 AM] TheWanderingZebra: As Kivuli enters does the same shitty country music still play from that jukebox. Everypony seems to be chatting until Kivuli comes in, pausing as they gave a look at the zebra. The barkeep appeared to be slumped down until he saw Kivuli, his eyes widening.
- [1:11:28 AM] Fordregha: Kivuli walks straight up to the tender. "Color is back. Three raiders were holding him at the windmill. Two are dead." He glances pointedly at the drinking stallions. "Do I still have a room or do I have to pay again?"
- [1:12:55 AM] TheWanderingZebra: "..." The barkeep just narrows his eyes at the zebra, rage appearing to boil up in his face. "You're fucking kidding yourself." At that moment could Kivuli see everpony in the room aiming a gun at him. The guards did warn him that nearly everypony had a gun.
- [1:13:35 AM] Fordregha: Kivuli drops his eyes into a bemused expression. "Zebra?"
- [1:14:30 AM] TheWanderingZebra: That seems to answer it as the barkeep leviatate a pump shotgun at Kivuli. "Get the fuck out of here now!" He yelled at him.
- [1:15:24 AM] Fordregha: "Yeah, yeah, I know how this works." Kivuli sighs and turns around, heading back outside. "I wont even try to ask for my caps back."
- [1:15:57 AM] TheWanderingZebra: "And good riddence!" The barkeep yelled back at Kivuli as he leaves.
- [1:17:32 AM] Fordregha: Kivuli scowls and grumbles to himself. "They see I have stripes and suddenly I'm speaking a different language and I all can say is how much I want to fuck them over." He starts looking for a place to sleep that wont get him shot.
- [1:18:41 AM] TheWanderingZebra: No place else seems to be able to have a place to sleep, and everypony else appears to glare daggers at the zebra, almost waiting for it to do the wrong move to have the excuse of shooting it.
- [1:19:56 AM] Fordregha: Kivuli gets the message and goes back to those two guards at the gate. "Alright, I give up. How far away do I have to be from the town to make you comfortable while I sleep?"
- [1:20:30 AM] TheWanderingZebra: "Don't even try, it won't accept the likes of you." One of the guards said to Kivuli.
- [1:20:58 AM] TheWanderingZebra: "And it's best if you get out now if you know better stripes." The other guard said.
- [1:21:34 AM] Fordregha: "I just asked how far away you want me to go," Kivuli said flatly.
- [1:22:02 AM] TheWanderingZebra: The guards didn't respond, aiming their guns at Kivuli.
- [1:22:54 AM] Fordregha: "All the way then, right. Thank you." Kivuli starts walking. "Oh yeah, that missing foal? Found him. Was being held by three raiders in the windmill. Killed two. The third's still running around so keep an eye out."
- [1:23:30 AM] TheWanderingZebra: "And none of that would of happened if it wasn't for your kind." One of the guards replied.
- [1:24:15 AM] Fordregha: "Believe me, I know. Most of the ponies I meet won't shut up about it." Kivuli keeps walking, putting his hood up again. "Have a good night."
- [1:26:11 AM] TheWanderingZebra: Morning appeared to come by as Kivuli continued to wander about, but there was no destination for him to go to. No place to find shelter in. No place to find sanctuary from the wasteland he lived in.
- [1:28:24 AM] Fordregha: "You know, you'd think saving a foal would get me a 'don't shoot the zebra' card or something." He glared up at the sun as if it was his greatest enemy. "Twenty bullets, eleven caps, and a mother's smile...yeah, I suppose that makes sense."
- [1:29:39 AM] TheWanderingZebra: "The world is an oddity isn't it?" A voice could be heard behind Kivuli.
- [1:30:46 AM] Fordregha: "Not so much an oddity as an endless sea of bullshit." He kept walking, but glanced over his shoulder at the speaker.
- [1:32:00 AM] TheWanderingZebra: It's a spritebot, it's voice coming from the speaker. "And I can relate with you on that one in all honesty. To us, it doesn't matter what we succeed for others, so long as one is the social pariah nothing they do will ever manner."
- [1:33:20 AM] Fordregha: "True that my friend, true that." He turns away from the spritebot and keeps walking. Probably a bad idea to turn his back on an unknown, but it was too bright to care. "Honestly, it's like my stripes garble my words."
- [1:34:17 AM] TheWanderingZebra: "The rest of the Wasteland may see you useless, but I see the potential in you." The spritebot speaker said as it followed Kivuli.
- [1:35:03 AM] Fordregha: "Great. Can you use that potential to find a town that will let me stay for more than a week?"
- [1:36:02 AM] TheWanderingZebra: Laughter could be heard coming from the speaker. "Oh no no no. I'll be strait forward with you: You have no place in this wasteland."
- [1:36:57 AM] Fordregha: "Oh gee thanks, I feel so much better." He scowls darker and keeps walking. "You have truely enlightened me."
- [1:37:29 AM] TheWanderingZebra: "Which is exactly why you're perfect for the job I'm offering." The spirtebot said to Kivuli.
- [1:38:44 AM] Fordregha: "Shoot."
- [1:39:15 AM] TheWanderingZebra: "There's something I'm looking for, but because of my ... condition, I can't exactly search for it myself."
- [1:39:44 AM] Fordregha: "Uh-huh. Keep talking."
- [1:41:06 AM] TheWanderingZebra: "The job I'm offering would be in a payment of 50,000 caps, for each person who accepts my job."
- [1:41:37 AM] Fordregha: Kivuli stops in his tracks and turns around, staring at the spritebot for a moment. "...Talk a little faster."
- [1:42:55 AM] TheWanderingZebra: The speaker could be heard chuckling. "Oh, that always seems to get the interest of many. The job I'm offering is something that you would consider your salvation from this Wasteland, the Wasteland that has treated you less than a living being."
- [1:43:35 AM] Fordregha: "Okay, philisophical stuff, leading me to my freedom, all well and good."
- [1:44:22 AM] TheWanderingZebra: "Sigh, you really want me to get to the point, do you?"
- [1:44:33 AM] Fordregha: "I've had a long night."
- [1:44:55 AM] TheWanderingZebra: "Zebrica." The spritebot simply says.
- [1:45:20 AM] Fordregha: Kivuli is silent for a long while. "....Zebrica."
- [1:45:51 AM] TheWanderingZebra: "The homeland of your race. There is something I am looking that is in that country. And I want you to find it for me."
- [1:46:14 AM] Fordregha: "You want to send me to Zebrica..."
- [1:47:18 AM] TheWanderingZebra: "Not alone mind you. I've been searching for others that I consider worthy of hiring. Seeing you sneak into that windmill and taking down those raiders just made me think of how you would be a recruit for the Crimson Dragoons if they were still around."
- [1:48:09 AM] Fordregha: "The Crimson Dragoons?! Really?!" Kivuli stared for a moment. "I have no idea what a Crimson Dragoon is."
- [1:49:37 AM] TheWanderingZebra: "Then maybe you could learn about them in the land that you belong to. You're culture, your natural habitat. Do not kid yourself, you have no future living here, even if the sky has cleared, even if the pegasi have begun to share the same suffering as your kind does now, the land will continue to be hostile towards you, simply because you are striped."
- [1:51:17 AM] Fordregha: "You have a point." He looks back towards the town. "Whole lot of them turned on me in a second...except for May and Color and that was probably only because I saved his life." His eyes narrow.
- [1:52:05 AM] TheWanderingZebra: "There may be those who sympathize with your plight, but they are vastly outnumbered by the ones who wish for nothing but for you to disappear."
- [1:52:59 AM] Fordregha: "And most of them have guns." Kivuli turns back to the spritebot. "I really am tired of sleeping on the floor...where are we meeting?"
- [1:55:18 AM] TheWanderingZebra: "... Excellent. Where I am now is a bit away from where you currently are. About a day or two to reach my place. It's an old beach resort that I own. From the west from where you currently are. There should be an abandoned supermarket you could sleep at in 2 miles from where you're at. From there you can get a glimpse of the ocean that divides the two countries."
- [1:56:35 AM] Fordregha: "I never even realized I was so close to the ocean," Kivuli muttered to himself. "Head west, abandoned supermarket, beach resort. Got it."
- [1:57:28 AM] TheWanderingZebra: More chuckling coming from the spritebot. "I hope you enjoy company when you arrive there. I can't wait to meet you all in person." The spirtebot said, then began to fly away.
- [1:58:08 AM] Fordregha: "Company..." Kivuli looks back at the town. "...Yeah...sure..."
- [2:00:13 AM] Fordregha: Kivuli sighs and starts heading west, looking for that supermarket. "Better not be lying trash can...:
- [2:02:51 AM] TheWanderingZebra: And so does Kivuli trot on towards his destination, where an a sanctuary from the Wasteland he lives in could be possible for our striped hero.
- [2:03:45 AM] TheWanderingZebra: ... But little does he know that he has gotten himself into something far larger than he would of liked. What will the Zebrican Wasteland hold for our hero? Will it be the sanctuary he dreamed off ... or will it be just another living nightmare?
- [2:04:25 AM] TheWanderingZebra: Perhaps we'll have our answer soon enough.
- [2:05:48 AM] TheWanderingZebra: **Prologue Session A: Quest - Striped Pariah Completed**
