Hey! Yes, they're very social. I have one poor guy who spent a year alone and it took a year of rehab before he was comfortable being handled and could be with others without attacking out of fear. They're wonderful companions though. Emotional, intelligent...I've had them for 2 years and they surprise me with something every day. That's perfect for me... Really what I want in a relationship with a human, too. The worst kind of relationship to me is a stagnant one. I want to be constantly teaching and learning whether it's an area of academic study or just life.

I know what you mean about unpredictable. There are few constants in my living/working situation right now. It's intimidating, but I'm thankful for the opportunity to choose whichever direction I feel is best for me. I've been locked into a career path for a few years now that wasn't fulfilling and I'll take uncertainty over unfulfilling any day!
