CC: he tamed a bird the other day and asked me to give it a name and everything
CC: he can be so goofy without even realizing it
CC: hes getting to be more and more of a hardass as i get older

CC: i dunno, i wanted to think on it for a bit
CC: something like harold, like that
CC: but that seems like kind of a sucky name for a bird
CC: any ideas?

BP: you could name it a chess piece maybe?
CC: yeah
CC: actually i know whatd be cool
CC: i should name it raja!
CC: its a piece in chaturanga, my cousin would love that!
BP: you never did tell me what chaturanga is
CC: oh dude its like chess but WAY cooler!
CC: well i mean it was chess at one stage
CC: my cousin made me look it up after i didnt hate chess when i was little!
CC: so its african and the raja is what they would call the king
CC: as much as i can get sick of my cousin always telling me to study, i do sometimes learn cool stuff like that!

CC: yeah, i wish i could read more history stuff

CC: so im gonna be 13 soonish
CC: thats the age my cousin was when he found me
CC: he like, went through a burning freaking city and took care of a baby by like hunting and building shelter in the wilds when he was only a bit older than me
CC: i dont think i could do any of that stuff!

BP: if i can get hit in the head with a fastball without a helmet you can do anything!

CC: yeah actually we went on a pretty big one the other day
CC: we were out for the whole day and had to camp out in
CC: well we went to the city where i was born
CC: or, whats left of it at least
CC: the place was practically melted, and there were these birds eeeeverywhere
CC: it was really spooky!
BP: wait whats left of it?
BP: what happened to it?
CC: my cousin says there was a big meteor right before i was born!
CC: thats what i mean!
CC: like, he was 13 and ran away from the city with me when all the adults werent able to!
CC: he never mentions my parents but they didnt make it out either
BP: dont you find it weird though?
BP: how was your cousin able to get you out of the hospital?
BP: and why didnt he bring your parents with?
CC: man i dunno!
CC: its such a sore subject with him, he told me literally everything i need to know
CC: he was sooooo saaaad when we were at the ruins
CC: he barely said anything and never laughed at my jokes!
CC: er, more than he usual
BP: yikes... bummer...
CC: yeah... i have a theory that they were fighting about whether to leave or not
CC: but he REALLY didnt like that theory
CC: he keeps expecting me to be sad about it too but i dunno i dont remember it or them so why would i?

BP: what is he up to now?
CC: hes just playing his guitar on the other side of the campfire

CC: but actually i think hes a bit more down than usual, im wondering if i should say something
