Det-Ves Faceoff

One minute and thirty seconds.  That is all the time Grohl had to crush the Det-Ves and bring this portal down.  The last eleven phases had been brutal, but it was all on the line for this one.  There was no time to waste.  The familiar feel of Josephine's Time magic settled on him, accelerating him so that he had more theoretical time to kill Det-Ves.  Sera blasted it with wind-enhanced fire, bathing it until Azriel, Eri, and Lana could get into range.

Grohl gripped his Axe-Axe and ran forward, pouring his magical energy into his weapon as he strummed it and let loose a hellish screech of notes for his Cappcriccioso spell.  Undeterred, the Det-Ves let loose a mighty screech of its own, cancelling out his playing and throwing back his companions.

"So, you wanna jam?" Grohl said as he halted his advance and brought up the Axe-Axe, letting loose a mighty series of notes that wove a story of uncontrolled magic, letting loose his Song of Magi.  The Det-Ves let another mighty shriek, keeping it going for as long as he played, the notes violently battling for the available air inside of the portal.  Both sounds neutralized each other, and Grohl realized he was evenly matched against this creature.

"One minute!" Josephine cried as Eri and Azriel got back into the fight, though even their physical skills were matched by the Det-Ves' own skill with its sabres.  Switching tactics, Grohl attempted to play a song of his allies, to boost their potential, but a deep rumbling from the...throat?  of the Det-Ves cancelled out his magic again.  As Josephine called out a reminder of forty seconds, Grohl charged the rest of the way to the Det-Ves and engaged it in melee, his axe meeting sabre amid the symphony of clashing metal.  Finally, Azriel and Eri managed to block both of its arms and Grohl drew his Axe-Axe across Det-Ves' chest, tearing it open and staggering the creature back.  Realizing his chance, he reversed his grip on his axe and began to shred as Josephine called out twenty seconds.

"Let me show you my Magnum Opus!" Grohl yelled as his fingers danced along the strings, the sound multiplying until it sounded like he was a hundred men playing once.  The Det-Ves desperately tried to outsing him, but was slowly drowned out by the overwhelming noise from Grohl's Axe-Axe as he tore into his guitar.  Then, there was a single chord out of place, though it fit seamlessly into the rest of the song.  It created deafening ripples in the enclosed space, forcing the air to wobble, until 'popping' in multitudes of explosions that forever drowned out the dying yells of the Det-Ves.
