The trail to Karne is not well-traveled, but there are still some fresh tracks. You've been warned that the area is rife with beasts, but you're more powerful than most...they should not be able to stop you. You walk, you ain't afraid of no beasts. And it seems that was wise. Hours into your journey, the white is peppered with red, the snow marred by the carcasses of dogs. Five of them, by the looks of it. Other than a few bloody claw marks on a couple of them, they are mostly uninjured, but clearly dead. A few survived, or just weren't present, maybe. They prowl the area, perhaps on the lookout for revenge, or perhaps mourning. Even though they clearly are not much of a threat, avoiding them may be for the best. Good luck with that.

Unlike Hohari, there is no shrine, no thundercloud suspended above the town, nothing to suggest that divinity dwells in this humble ice-bound village. You ask around, but nobody seems to know "Unnunziata," and this stumps you, until Zeke asks for Nunzio. The villagers flare with realization, and point you toward the largest house in town, a 3-story abode, brick-layed as all the others.
