  66.
  67. First quote we will look at:
  68. "Have you had the deam again? A black goat with seven eyes that watches from the outside."
  69.
  70. Lore behind the quote:
  71. There are a few things that strike this quote as quite weird when looking at this quote. One of the things that sticks out the most is the fact it brings up dreams. This could be a possible reference to the old god known as N'Zoth. He was responsible for the emerald nightmare crisis. This being one of the newer raids in Legion could be to finish the boxes horrid nightmare. There are also a few other notable things.
  72. N'Zoth is also an old god thought to be deep under the sea of azeroth. This will be spoken of later and finally will come all together in the character specific section. For those of you unaware of the emerald dream being caused by N'Zoth you can read further on to read a direct quote from wow-wiki "N'Zoth is likely the one who is truly responsible for the Emerald Nightmare, and not Xavius, who was merely a pawn of a greater evil, as stated in Stormrage."
  73. Here are some more official quotes:
  74. The first time the living were made aware of (what was presumably) N'Zoth's existence was when Malfurion Stormrage sensed something deep down within the Rift of Aln, which he called 'an ancient evil'
  75. Malfurion Stormrage: I have encountered this power once before, within the depths of the Emerald Dream, near an abyss known as the Rift of Aln.
  76. Malfurion Stormrage: That place radiated an ancient evil with such intensity that we dared not venture closer.
  77. Malfurion Stormrage: It was all we could do to attempt to seal the taint away from the rest of the Dream. But it appears that we failed.
  78. Malfurion Stormrage: And now, to find a fragment of that power in the hands of the Legion? A terrible portent....
  79. N'Zoth was probably also the Old God that drove Neltharion to the brink of insanity.
  80. Based on maps which depict Azeroth at various points throughout its history (both pre and post-sundering) contained in World of Warcraft: Chronicle Volume 1, it appears as though the location of N'Zoth's prison may be somewhere under the sea, south of Suramar City.
  81.
  82. Y'Shaarj, another old god is known as the one with Seven heads. This could be useful information when you look at this part "A black goat with seven eyes".
  83. Knowing that the goat has seven eyes and that Y'Shaarj has 7 heads there could be some sort of connection. When talking with the Klaxxi you can get some awesome quotes. "If the Old Ones ever return, we mantid will once again stand by their side. The wisest among you will do the same"
  84. POSSIBLE lore:
  85. While this has yet to be confirmed there could be something sleeping under Tirisfal glades. Wow has poked fun at it saying that it is not nice. It might be a Titan or an un-named old-god. For this reason Tirisfal might be worth looking further into. Mainly those darters. It could also be a Great Old one. Not an evil nor nice crature.
  86. Refrences to things out of wow:
  87. These couls easily be references to things that are not in the wow universe, but that we can still pry at for information.
  88.
  89. Bible:
  90. The bible has a verse that is quite litteraly talking about a 7 Eyed goat. Exactly what the dream states.
  91. The exact quote is "Then I saw a Lamb, looking as if it had been slain, standing at the center of the throne, encircled by the four living creatures and the elders. The Lamb had seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven spirits of God sent out into all the earth."
  92. of course there is multiple versions in which you can continue to read.
  93. "Then I saw a Lamb that looked as if it had been slaughtered, but it was now standing between the throne and the four living beings and among the twenty-four elders. He had seven horns and seven eyes, which represent the sevenfold Spirit of God that is sent out into every part of the earth."
  94. "And between the throne and the four living creatures and among the elders I saw a Lamb standing, as though it had been slain, with seven horns and with seven eyes, which are the seven spirits of God sent out into all the earth."
  95. "Then I saw a Lamb who appeared to have been slain, standing in the center of the throne, encircled by the four living creatures and the elders. The lamb had seven horns and seven eyes, which represent the sevenfold Spirit of God sent out into all the earth."
  96. More can be found here: http://biblehub.com/revelation/5-6.htm
  97. When looking at the entire 5:1-7 passage we can read further into what it means and how it could be related to the puzzle box.
  98. "Matthew Henry Commentary 5:1-7 The apostle saw in the hand of Him that sat upon the throne, a roll of parchments in the form usual in those times, and sealed with seven seals. This represented the secret purposes of God about to be revealed. The designs and methods of Divine Providence, toward the church and the world, are stated, fixed, and made a matter of record. The counsels of God are altogether hidden from the eye and understanding of the creature. The several parts are not unsealed and opened at once, but after each other, till the whole mystery of God's counsel and conduct is finished in the world. The creatures cannot open it, nor read it; the Lord only can do so. Those who see most of God, are most desirous to see more; and those who have seen his glory, desire to know his will. But even good men may be too eager and hasty to look into the mysteries of the Divine conduct. Such desires, if not soon answered, turn to grief and sorrow. If John wept much because he could not look into the book of God's decrees, what reason have many to shed floods of tears for their ignorance of the gospel of Christ! of that on which everlasting salvation depends! We need not weep that we cannot foresee future events respecting ourselves in this world; the eager expectation of future prospects, or the foresight of future calamities, would alike unfit us for present duties and conflicts, or render our prosperous days distressing. Yet we may desire to learn, from the promises and prophecies of Scripture, what will be the final event to believers and to the church; and the Incarnate Son has prevailed, that we should learn all that we need to know. Christ stands as Mediator between God and both ministers and people. He is called a Lion, but he appears as a Lamb slain. He appears with the marks of his sufferings, to show that he pleads for us in heaven, in virtue of his satisfaction. He appears as a Lamb, having seven horns and seven eyes; perfect power to execute all the will of God, and perfect wisdom to understand it, and to do it in the most effectual manner. The Father put the book of his eternal counsels into the hand of Christ, and Christ readily and gladly took it into his hand; for he delights to make known the will of his Father; and the Holy Spirit is given by him to reveal the truth and will of God."
  99. Now we can attempt to decode it:
  100. The first part we can read "a roll of parchments in the form usual in those times" when looking at it from wows lore this could represent a parchent unusual to man, one that could have been created from another form of being. It could also be talking about the language of the scrolls being in the native language of the old gods which is taken from lovecraft.
  101. Second part reading "seven seals. This represented the secret purposes of God about to be revealed". Once again looking at it from the side of wow this could mean that there are seven things that are required to open the box, or maybe seven people are needed. This line is one of my favorite at this point due to the possibilities.
  102. Looking back at the GMS response talking about the agents of the old god could perhaps be a refernce to "The counsels of God are altogether hidden from the eye and understanding of the creature."
  103. Due to the fact that the robes may still be part of the way to open the box looking at "The several parts are not unsealed and opened at once, but after each other" you may need to get certain things from every exansion until the 7th to unlock it. Or it could mean that you need to do 7 steps in a row to unlocking such as the new squirl hunter pet requiring a certain sequence of buttons to be hit. If you mess up you need to start again.
  104. Past this point I will let you guys read the rest and decide if it is worth looking into or not for I am unsure.
  105. The goat cal also represent satan. Taking this into consideration we can look at the fact that Satan is a fiend of hell where death and damnation is the only thing for miles. Looking into places where fire is an often site or death is an often sight may proive more answers.
  106.
  107. Cthulhu/Lovecraft:
  108. Taking into account that lovecraft is part of the old-god lore we can look at it a little more closely and it will have a higher possibility of being relevent compared to a damn bible verse.
  109. Shub-Niggurath is considered The Black Goat of the Woods with a Thousand Young or Lord of the Wood. The Black Goat may otherwise be a male, earthly form of Shub-Niggurath—an incarnation she assumes to copulate with her worshipers.
  110. Further research on this subject might be done.
