  1. How to stream from TV with Dazzle
  2. Note: This guide focuses on making sure you have the right hardware, and helping to get audio working. It is vague when it comes to troubleshooting video problems, or setting up your stream initially.
  3.
  4. Hardware you'll need:
  5. - Dazzle DVC Recorder Plus: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0039Y2YDK?ie=UTF8&tag=wepeeler-20&linkCode=xm2&camp=1789&creativeASIN=B0039Y2YDK
  6. - Three 1-male 2-female splitters: http://www.amazon.com/RiteAV-RCA-Splitter-Male-Female/dp/B000V1JUJU/ref=dp_cp_ob_e_title_3
  7. - A/V cables: http://www.amazon.com/RiteAV-Audio-Video-RCA-Cable/dp/B000V0DY7U/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1307223639&sr=8-1
  8. - (optional) RCA stereo 1-male 2-female splitter. This is an alternate and unpreferred method to the steps outlined in section IV.

  14.
  15. II. Test hardware setup (optional)
  16. 1. Install Pinnacle software
  17. 2. Make sure video & audio come through. If they don't there's probably something wrong with your hardware configuration.
  18.
  19. III. Set up stream
  20. 1. Set up account with streaming website (recommended justin.tv)
  21. 2. Download streaming software (recommended xsplit or FMLE)
  22. 3. Follow the website or software's guide to connect the software with streaming website and begin streaming.
  23. 4. Test your stream. Your audio probably doesn't work, in which case you can continue to section IV. If your video doesn't work you'll need to troubleshoot further before continuing.
  24.
  25. ~~ OBSOLETE BELOW, JUST USE AMAREC ~~
  26. IV. Get audio working, if it's not
  27. 1. Acquire Virtual Audio Cable (VAC) software, or use the trial (which has an annoying popup). Suggested version 4.10.
  28. 2. Open VAC's "Audio Repeater (KS)".
  29. 3. Select "Dazzle DVC100 Audio Device" for Wave In, and "Virtual Cable 1" for Wave Out. Leave everything else default.
  30. 4. Push Start, and mess around in your game of choice. Make sure that as you make sounds in game, the bars in VAC marked "FL" and "FR" are moving.
  31. 5. Open your streaming software, and set your audio input to "Line 1". Line 1 is essentially the sound channel you've created through VAC. To do this in xsplit, right click Dazzle in your scene sources, then go to cam -> configure -> crossbar. Switch output to "1: Audio Decoder Out", and input to "5: Audio Line In".
  32. 6. Audio should now work when you stream. If you get nasty sound loops and are using xsplit, uncheck the speaker icon above your scene sources list.
  33.
  34. Alternatively to get sound working, you could use the RCA stereo 1-male to 2-female splitter listed in the hardware section above. However, you'll need to buy it and it often degrades sound quality.
