Kanis999 Weekly Update 1/23/2017

RPG Maker
- This is a bigger focus than speedgaming and streaming for me this month
- The project is now 95% complete, with a major release yesterday

- I'll need testers pretty soon.
- The game will take over 20 hours to complete casually! Its legitimately the size of a real RPG.

Speedgaming
- Got 5h 38m in OoT 100% on Saturday. That's a 9 minute pb.
- I will continue to practice OoT throughout this week and try to pb again next weekend.
- Got sub 2h 10m in DKC trilogy, a goal I've been after for like a year.
- Got a 41:21 in DKC2 no reset run the other day, which is actually the best time I've gotten since my pb.
- I legitimately don't consider speedgaming to be important in my life at all. Hence you won't be seeing me try very hard to pb in DKC2. My speedruns are purely for my entertainment (and yours!), not for being competitive. I have other more important things in life to be competitive about.
- Having said that, I still enjoy doing speedruns very much as ENTERTAINMENT, and will continue to do so

Stream
- I will continue streaming no-reset dkc2 and dkc trilogy runs throughout the week
- OoT practice will be predominately off stream
- More OoT 100% runs planned for next weekend
- When my RPG Maker project is finally complete, I will stream a playthrough to promote it
- Still pondering 1k follower special ideas. I feel like I need a 3 day weekend for that, and I don't have a 3 day weekend until May...

Life
- Having met my dkc2 speedrunning goal, and now almost being done with my RPG Maker project, I will soon be looking for a new project. I want to focus on a project that can provide alternative income to the rat race.
- Brainstorming plans to launch an online guitar lesson business
- Still maybe want to move to Colorado, or really anywhere else with tech jobs and cheaper housing costs + better traffic than DC
- I hate my job
