  1. The fact that she was alone now meant nothing.
  2.
  3. Well, she wasn't exactly alone. She had Bebe-tan. That was all she had, really. Bebe-tan was all the company she got, and all the company she needed, she supposed. She was nothing but a danger anyway, but Bebe-tan wasn't afraid. She was the only one that wasn't. Everyone else had thrown her away long ago, and she couldn't blame them. She should mean nothing to them, the constant danger that she was. She hated it. She hated herself. She couldn't help but do so, sinking weakly into her seat. "..." She clutched Bebe-tan close to her chest, and let out a long sigh. Another day alone in the dark, dank room that she was always in. Just her computer, Bebe-tan, and herself. That was her life now.
  4.
  5. It had been that way for a few years now. Out of the two children that were born - the two aspiring shinobi - she, out of all people, was the one to get the dangerous technique. The 'root of calamity'. She was the one to lose control. She was the one that even her parents considered a danger and distanced themselves from. Yet they'd trained her and practically ordered her to become an evil shinobi so that her power would be coming to use somehow. Her sister hated her for it. She didn't blame her, even after since the day she discovered her power, she'd been aspiring to win her back. To make her care about her again. Even if she knew she never would.
  6.
  7. She bumped the thread she was on. Almost every day she went to the advice board seeing assistance with her problems. '!!HELP!! I want my sister back' had become a common topic, and she was known as 'Hikikomori-chan' at this point. That was just to be expected, even if there never was an answer beyond 'be yourself and she'll forgive you with time.' How much longer would it take? A lifetime? She laid her head down on her computer desk, letting out a quiet sigh. "..." Glancing down at Bebe-tan, she frowned.
  8.
  9. The bear had caused this in the first place. Imu thought it was weighing her down, that Bebe-tan was a weakness...and she'd attacked her own sister (unintentionally) due to the bear being taken away from her. She'd chosen a plushie over her own flesh and blood. Even if it was part of her own security, that was something she couldn't forgive herself for. Ever. She sank into her seat, tears filling her eyes. That was the first time she released the 'root of calamity' - blacking out and waking up with her sister injured at her feet, and she had hoped so very much that it would be the last.
  10.
  11. It wasn't. Later, a group of scouts from Hebijo Clandestine Girls Academy came to test her skills, breaking into the room she never came out of...and it happened again. She woke up from her temporary blackout with blood on her hands. She had killed the scout...and by doing so, passed the entrance exam to Hebijo. But she refused to go. She couldn't release herself to the outside world. How dangerous would that be? And no one would want to see her. So there she sat, looking at her hopeless pleads on FutabaChan along with the many responses of things akin to 'Aaah, it's Hikikomori-chan again~ ^w^ still no progress? ;w;' and 'Hikikomori-chan <333'. This was the only place she was loved, where people didn't really know who she was.
  12.
  13. That was for the best in the end.
  14.
  15. "Murasaki." A voice. Wait, could that be--she paused, looking behind her. It was. Imu had actually spoken to her. After all these years, she'd spoken to her.
  16.
  17. "O-Onee-chan..." Murasaki stuttered out in a quiet voice, looking up at her sister from her chair. "...i-is there something you needed...?"
  18.
  19. "We're partaking in a Shinobi Battle Royale. We need you."
  20.
  21. They...needed her? She needed her...perhaps this was a chance to prove herself...perhaps finally...she took a gulp, her voice shaking even more, if that were possible. "...Y...you need me...?" She rose from her seat slowly, her long black gothic lolita dress falling down over her knees and holding Bebe-tan close to her chest.
  22.
  23. "Hebijo needs you and...yes, I need you." Imu stated, nodding. "Do you plan to join us, or shall I attempt to recruit someone else?"
  24.
  25. "N...No...I'll...I'll do it." She instantly replied, a small smile coming across her face. "If you need me...I-I'll do it."
  26.
  27. "Good." Imu stated. Although her tone didn't change a bit, she was certain that her sister was grateful that she had joined. She had given her abilities up to the 'will of evil' as she had formerly promised to do, even if she never did it previously. She would finally make her sister proud, if she could.
  28.
  29. She would finally mean something to someone.
