1. Can normal people get into the dead city by accident
2.
3. Lauren frowned slightly. "Only people with an inclination towards our worldview. People who could have Broken when they were younger, or people who still could. I've taken steps to prevent anyone from wandering in by accident, but I'm not perfect, and people do slip in occasionally. I usually scare them back out, or guide them back out if they refuse to leave on their own."
4.
5. How
6.
7. Lisa opened her mouth excitedly, but Lauren swung her finger at her and shook her head. Ignoring Lisa's pout, Lauren began speaking again, taking care in choosing her words. "I have summons watching the areas that people usually stumble through- that's how I knew Lisa and Joe had led you here. I've also placed guards in the Dead City itself."
8.
9. What guards
10.
11. Lauren was too late to silence Lisa this time. The girl's animated voice seemed to echo off the walls, disturbing the eerie silence of the warehouse. "That's the Monster. We smelled 't on th' way in, right? Smells like dead stuff, rottin' food an' meat an' shit like that. Usedta call it Frankenstein, bu' onea th' others got on our case 'bout it, yelled for like a hour abou' how Frankenstein was the doctor or sumfin' like dat, so we just call 't the Monster now."
12.
13. Tapping her finger against her thigh, Lauren waited impatiently for Lisa to finish before she spoke up again, directing an irritated glare at the girl. "Technically correct. The 'Monster', as the children refer to it, is one of my Golems. It's a profane creation, created from the flesh of the monsters from the Third Realm, not like animals from our own. They're guards- I suggest you don't ever pick a fight with one; they can hit hard enough to shatter the walls around us, and can eat almost anything and convert it to flesh to heal themselves. They Desecrate the ground around them- that means that they cause any external forms of magic to fail in a given area around them," she explained when she saw the confused look on my face.
