  1. Town of Salem Justin Bieber Challenge
  2.
  3. Challenge: Choose the name "Justin Bieber" when entering a game (any mode), and see how many points you can accumulate across 20 games.
  4.
  5. The point of this challenge is to encourage people to play better. As Justin Bieber you will be a high priority target and you will need to work hard to prevent being lynched or murdered. At the same time though, because you're a high priority target you may find it harder to play roles such as Executioner and Jester because investigative roles are likely to look at you early. The important thing is to remember to have fun :) And don't be a dick :P Of course, only games where you enter as "Justin Bieber" count towards this challenge. Feel free to have some games away from the #JBChallenge if you're getting fed up of being persecuted because of your name and return to it later :)
  6.
  7. Gamemode: You do not have to stick with the game mode you start with. You can start in All/Any and finish in Ranked, or start in Ranked and finish in Custom (or any combination thereof). Just track your points carefully.
  8.
  9. Scrolls: I'm currently undecided on the role of scrolls in the #JBChallenge. Atm I'm considering allowing them because they only have a small effect on your chances to be (or not be) each role but also I'm considering disallowing them BECAUSE they affect your chances to be (or not be) certain roles. For now they're allowed (because I'm undecided) but check back later in case I change my mind on this.
  10.
  11. Points system:
  12. +Nights survived=1
  13. /Kills=1
  14. Successful heals=3
  15. *Penalties=-2
  16. Bonuses: Role dependant
  17. Draws=5
  18. Wins=10
  19.
  20. *Penalties are earned for attacking a target that has already left the game. Assume that you are Player 1 (werewolf/serial killer/godfather) and player 2 quits Day 2 (and is not dead). Nobody is going to protect/jail/heal/watch/investigate Player 2 that night so they are a cheap kill for Player 1. Because of this there is minimal chance of getting caught for attacking Player 2 so attacking them incurs a 2 point penalty. You will also receive a 2 point penalty for attacking a Vigilante that has killed a Townie (if you genuinely don't know who the Vig is then you do not incur this penalty) or killing somebody that was the only person to vote guilty on a Jester. This is because nobody is going to heal or protect those players the night they die and would otherwise be free kills.
  21. *Killing a town as Jailor is also a 2 point penalty because you could just waste an execution on a known town in order to gain a kill point in a game the mafia are about to win. Doing this is also Gamethrowing and you will be reported for it. Killing a survivor as Jailor will also lose you 2 points. Just because they claim Survivor does not mean they ARE survivor, the penalty is only incurred if they appear as Survivor in the Graveyard.
  22. *Knowingly killing anybody that appears in the Graveyard as Survivor loses you 2 points. If it was an accident and/or they hadn't claimed Survivor at any point then you will not incur a penalty.
  23. *If somebody quits between the end of the night and before their death is announced you will not lose points. Ragequitters will not affect your game in this way.
  24. *Leaving a game before it ends loses you 2 points regardless of role.
  25. *You will not receive a penalty if your game freezes, internet dies or something else beyond your control stops the game from working. In this case you should consider the game void (worth no points and never happened) and try again.
  26. *Mafia that die to Mafia attacks are not counted as penalties because these are the result of a Witch and/or Transporter. Townies that die to the Veteran do not count as penalties because you cannot control who chooses to visit you when you go on alert. Instead, these kills are worth 0 points.
  27.
  28. +You do not earn "Nights survived" points if you die during the night. Example: You live from N1-N3 and die N4. You will earn points for nights 1-3 but NOT night 4. If resurrected by a Retributionist you can start earning "Nights survived" points again as of the NEXT night (for example, you die N4, get resurrected N5, start earning survival points again N6).
  29.
  30. /"Kills" refers to using a night action to kill somebody, such as a Vigilantes, Mafioso's or Serial Killers night action. "Kills" does not refer to getting a person lynched or convincing somebody else to kill somebody (a Witch FORCES others to kill so she earns points as the killing role she targets). Killing a Bodyguard that is protecting your target will still earn a Kill point if the Bodyguard is not healed that night. If, as SK, you are roleblocked and you kill the roleblocker then you will earn a point for killing them even if you are witched because the roleblocker prevents the witch from controlling you, so you can pretend as if the witch never visited you that night.
  31.
  32. How each role gains points:
  33.
  34. Town:
  35. Bodyguard: Successfully protecting somebody earns you 1 point for the kill and 3 points for the protection (like a heal). If the one you kill does not die then you only earn 3 points (assuming your target survived). You will not earn a point for surviving the night because you will have died to protect somebody. If the one you protect dies then you only earn 1 point (assuming you kill the attacker). If the attacker survives and your target dies then you earn 0 points for using your action. If you are successfully healed while defending someone then you earn a point for surviving the night and you can of course defend somebody else to earn more points.
  36. Using your vest and successfully surviving an attack earns you 3 points (as if you healed yourself successfully). You do not earn points for wasting your vest.
  37. Beyond this there are no special rules for Bodyguards, you earn points by surviving, killing, protecting, winning and getting a draw.
  38.
  39. Doctor: Successfully healing somebody (regardless of faction/alignment) earns you 3 points. Successfully healing yourself earns you 3 points. You do not earn points for wasting your self-heal. Beyond this there are no special rules for doctors, you earn points by surviving, healing, winning and getting a draw.
  40.
  41. Escort: There are no special rules for Escorts, you earn points by surviving, winning and getting a draw.
  42.
  43. Investigator: There are no special rules for Investigators, you earn points by surviving, winning and getting a draw.
  44.
  45. Jailor: You can earn points for kills. Killing a town role or survivor will lose you 2 points. You earn 5 bonus points for successfully killing 3 non-town, non-survivor targets. Beyond this there are no special rules for Jailors, you earn points by surviving, killing, winning and getting a draw.
  46.
  47. Lookout: There are no special rules for Lookouts, you earn points by surviving, winning and getting a draw.
  48.
  49. Mayor: You earn 5 bonus points for winning without revealing. Dying without revealing earns 0 bonus points even if Town wins. Getting resurrected and then not revealing can earn the 5 point bonus if Town wins however it will be easier and simpler to reveal. Beyond this there are no special rules for Mayors, you earn points by surviving, winning and getting a draw.
  50.
  51. Medium: There are no special rules for Mediums, you earn points by surviving, winning and getting a draw.
  52.
  53. Retributionist: You earn 5 bonus points for successfully resurrecting somebody, regardless of role. Beyond this there are no special rules for Retributionists, you earn points by surviving, resurrecting, winning and getting a draw.
  54.
  55. Sheriff: There are no special rules for Sheriffs, you earn points by surviving, winning and getting a draw.
  56.
  57. Spy: There are no special rules for Spies, you earn points by surviving, winning and getting a draw.
  58.
  59. Transporter: There are no special rules for Transporters, you earn points by surviving, winning and getting a draw.
  60.
  61. Veteran: You earn 1 point per kill. You do not earn any points for killing a town role. If you kill a town role then you still earn points for the non-towns that you kill. With only 3 alerts you will need to play well to earn lots of points. Beyond this there are no special rules for Transporters, you earn points by surviving, killing, winning and getting a draw.
  62. Veterans are not affected by witches in the current version of the game (1.2.0) so Veterans earn points even when witched.
  63.
  64. Vigilante: You can earn points for kills. Killing a town role or claimed survivor will lose you 2 points. You earn 5 bonus points for successfully killing 3 non-town, non-survivor targets. Beyond this there are no special rules for Vigilantes, you earn points by surviving, killing, winning and getting a draw.
  65.
  66.
  67. Mafia: If you are a Mafia role and you become Mafioso or Godfather then refer to their section for further information.
  68. If you are Mafioso and you are paired with a Godfather then you earn points for all targets you kill, if you are Roleblocked and the GF makes the kill then you earn no points for the kill. This works in reverse too, if you (as Godfather) send a Mafioso to kill someone then you earn a point for the kill because you chose the target. If (as GF) you are roleblocked then you do NOT earn a point for the kill since the Mafioso will kill whoever they chose rather than your target.
  69.
  70. Blackmailer: There are no special rules for Blackmailers, you earn points by surviving, winning and getting a draw.
  71.
  72. Consigliere: There are no special rules for Consiglieres, you earn points by surviving, winning and getting a draw.

  77.
  78. Framer: There are no special rules for Framers, you earn points by surviving, winning and getting a draw.
  79.
  80. Godfather: You do not earn points for killing Mafia roles. Beyond this there are no special rules for Godfathers, you earn points by surviving, killing, winning and getting a draw.
  81.
  82. Janitor: Cleaning an unrevealed Mayor earns 5 bonus points. Beyond this there are no special rules for Janitors, you earn points by surviving, winning and getting a draw.
  83.
  84. Mafioso: You do not earn points for killing Mafia roles. Beyond this there are no special rules for Mafiosi, you earn points by surviving, killing, winning and getting a draw.
  85.
  86. Forger (Preliminary, subject to change): It has come to my attention that you can change the wills of people that quit during the day (and thus "commit suicide" during the night). There is no penalty for changing these wills since they might have useful information in their will that you want to erase and you can use their death to your advantage in this way. There are no special rules for Forgers, you earn points by surviving, winning and getting a draw.
  87.
  88.
  89. Neutral Roles:
  90. Amnesiac: You earn 1 bonus point for successfully remembering a role, then you earn points normally as that role. You earn 0 points for remembering you are an Amnesiac. If you remember you are Executioner or Jester then you no longer earn survival points (if you remember this N3 then you will not earn survival points for N4 and onwards but will earn a point for N3). Beyond this there are no special rules for Amnesiacs, you earn points by surviving, winning and getting a draw.
  91.
  92. Arsonist: There are no special rules for Arsonists, you earn points by surviving, killing, winning and getting a draw.
  93.
  94. Executioner: You win if you get your target lynched and earn bonus points for this in the following manner - 5 points for Day 2, 4 points for Day 3, 3 points for Day 4, 2 points for Day 5 and 1 point for Day 6. Beyond this there are no special rules for Executioners, you earn points by winning and getting a draw. Executioners do not earn points for surviving because this goes against their role.
  95. If you turn into a Jester then you have 3 days to get lynched if you wish to earn bonus points - 3 points for the first day, 2 points for the second day and 1 point for the third day. Getting successfully lynched as Jester when you started as Executioner earns you a win.
  96.
  97. Jester: You win if you get lynched and earn bonus points for this in the following manner - 4 points for Day 2, 3 points for Day 3, 2 points for Day 3 and 1 point for Day 4. You also get a point for haunting someone after you are successfully lynched. Beyond this there are no special rules for jesters, you earn points by winning and getting a draw. Jesters do not earn points for Surviving as this goes against their role.
  98.
  99. Serial Killer: There are no special rules for Serial Killers, you earn points by surviving, killing, winning and getting a draw.
  100.
  101. Survivor: You earn 3 points each time you successfully evade death through the use of a vest. Using a vest but not getting attacked earns 0 points. Beyond this there are no special rules for Survivors, you earn points by surviving, winning and getting a draw.
  102.
  103. Witch: Take note of who you target, this can get difficult to track. You can earn points as witch by forcing somebody to successfully use their ability.
  104. You earn points for forcing somebody to kill (as long as the target dies).
  105. You earn 3 points for forcing someone to successfully heal (the target must have been attacked that night, easiest to track if you heal yourself. Some people will not admit they were healed, others will claim they were healed when they weren't). You can earn a kill by forcing a jailor to execute somebody.
  106. If you force a Bodyguard to protect someone and the Bodyguard dies protecting that target then you earn points as if you were the Bodyguard (see "Bodyguard" above). You also earn a Kill point for causing the Bodyguard to die.
  107. Forcing a Vigilante to kill a townie will earn 2 Kill points because the Vigilante will die the following night.
  108. Beyond this there are no special rules for Witches, you earn points by surviving, winning and getting a draw.
  109.
  110. Werewolf: There are no special rules for Werewolves, you earn points by surviving, killing, winning and getting a draw.

  118.
  119. Things to note:
  120. If you are witched and your ability is used successfully that night then you do not earn any points for using your ability. This is because the witch is using your ability, not you. This includes Bodyguards, Serial Killers, Doctors and all other roles that can be witched. Veterans are not affected by witches in the current version of the game (1.2.0) so Veterans earn points even when witched. As stated earlier though, if you are Serial Killer and you are witched and roleblocked on the same night then you will earn a point for killing a roleblocker, this is because the roleblocker overrides the witch and you are forced to kill the roleblocker.
