  1. [14:05:24] <@Charm> January 25, 1941 || 7.53 hours Greenwich Mean Time || Current Temperature: 4° C
  2. [14:06:54] <@Charm> It's been a quarter-fortnight since the three of you arrived in this world, where magic is heavily restricted and Inquisitors guard every corner. Over the past four days, two new magical girls have been discovered and brought in to the fold.
  3. [14:08:02] <@Charm> One of them, Amanda, was a short-tempered fire mage. She and Pixy got into several arguments when she showed up.
  4. [14:09:07] <@Charm> The other, an Irish girl named Samantha, was much more reserved, but her toxic magic belied the reserved girl's speech.
  5. [14:09:46] <@Charm> Regardless, Iris is helping all of you. But even she can't do everything alone...
  6. [14:09:59] <Vivienne> And Vivienne hated them both, so it's known. But if there was anybody who DIDN'T fit that category at this point they were truly an amazing individual. That said, no amazing individuals existed.
  7. [14:11:26] <Vivienne> The more spoiled of the nobles had spend her time barking order after order and treating the residents as her servants, though getting into multiple arguments in the process. With extreme reluctance, over the days she had been convinced to accept that the world they were in was very different than the one she came from, and she was more than visibly frustrated at lack of clothing changes.
  8. [14:12:37] <Vivienne> Not even to START on how much of a mess her hair was! And the multiple escape attempts? That's not even something that needs to get started on. It goes without saying that Vivienne, despite likely proving the extent of her ability on more than one occasion, had been a handful to deal with. In addition, she had began to understand her own ability a bit more... just a bit.
  9. [14:14:14] <@Charm> There were changes of clothing available...just none that she felt would suit her. Her sister and...friend? Rayna was less distant than the others at least - but those two were a bit more well-adjusted. Probably.
  10. [14:15:00] <Rayna> Rayna managed to adapt to the lifestyle they were stuck with much more smoothly than Vivienne, if understandably reluctantly. What troubled her much more was the idea of people, not even wraiths, people hunting for her. Especially if they sought to take her power; how would she get back to Ashley if she couldn't earn a wish? Despite her own fears, she did her best to watch over Vivienne. If the girl escaped, that could mean her death. Rayna didn't approve.
  11. [14:16:04] <Vivienne> That means nothing. To a peasant, perhaps, a change of clothing or two would be suitable, but to this elegant, refined lady it was more than necessary to have hundreds prepared for each day. And while transforming would grant her the ability to assume anything she remembered so fondly, with even more reluctance she began to accept why that was a bad idea. Magic-fights were at a minimum.
  12. [14:18:40] <Camille> Trying to fit in with the environment Camille did her best to adjust. Not that it was easy to understand such a starkly different place. But she showed eagerness to try and learn what they were allowed to or not. She still didn't drink any of the alcohol though, she wasn't interested in it or its effects. She was much more interested in figuring out if they could possibly help the girls...
  13. [14:18:42] <Camille> ...situation in some way while she was trying to fit in.
  14. [14:20:08] <@Charm> Camille sees Iris at the large table they've been eating at. She looks absolutely drained.
  15. [14:23:01] <@Charm> "oh...you're up early..." She has a bottle of something that could accurately be called "brown and violent".
  16. [14:24:19] <Camille> Walking up to the drained Iris. Camille thought about how much she had to shoulder in this place. She seemed like the leader around here. "It is hard to sleep around here for me, I'm still not used to this place it seems. What about you? you look as if you haven't slept since we came here."
  17. [14:25:10] <Vivienne> While she slept like a rock, at least Vivienne's thoughts could be presented for the moment as some sort of obnoxious pseudo-narration. She'd grown rather fond of that beverage that was supposedly not tea from the other day and was quite displeased at how scarce it'd had become, as well as how everybody refused to tell her what it was. Accursed peasants.
  18. [14:25:29] <@Charm> "I have...barely. ITs just..." She takes another drag from the bottle, clutching it tightly. "there's too...too many."
  19. [14:27:21] <Rayna> Rayna thought there was too much alcohol around. She wasn't a drinker, and didn't mind the IDEA of others drinking, but... Vivienne? What good could possibly come from an 11 year old notorious for getting into big, magical trouble getting drunk out of her mind? And the hangovers... Alcohol and Vivienne were a match made in hell.
  20. [14:28:05] <@Charm> "Gaelyn...we used to see him every day. It was just Pixy Rachelle and me...we *hic* lived like queens."
  21. [14:29:31] <Camille> "Well it won't do to bring yourself to a state like this. If there is too much for you then you will have to have other people help you." Sighing, she continued berating the poor girl in the nicest way she could think of. "What if you once became so tired yo- What is it with that little thing now then?"
  22. [14:29:38] <Vivienne> The conversation may have been slightly interrupted by the sounds of stirring-- a moan or two here or there as well. The younger sibling was rolling around obnoxiously and if anything it was painfully obvious that she wasn't able to stay asleep in such an uncomfortable bed. Not like that was something that hadn't been happening constantly or anything.
  23. [14:29:38] <@Charm> "N-now...Theres 12 of us...and gealyn comes by maybe on*hic*once a week...we c-can't live off what eh brings in..."
  24. [14:32:35] <@Charm> "we...what'll we do?" Another long drink of the stuff. The fact that she was still lucid had to be a testament to her body's resilience to the stuff...or else tolerance.
  25. [14:33:25] <Rayna> Rayna would be much more unobtrusive in her observation of the discussion. Trouble with supplies... Sounds like they'd have to send people on errands to get food and the like on their own. That would be dangerous, but unless Iris had a better idea, Rayna convinced herself that she would be the one to volunteer. After all, she never wanted to be a leech, and they couldn't send Vivienne, she
  26. [14:33:26] <Rayna> was just a kid, and if they sent Camille, what would happen if she didn't come back? The other girls wouldn't do, either. Relying on them like that didn't feel right. Rayna felt like she had a debt to pay, "If you don't mind me interrupting, I could go out and try to bring something back, if you can tell me what's in the area."
  27. [14:34:15] <Vivienne> And then it WAS interrupted by a loud yawn. A tool she'd found much better than throat-clearing to draw attention to herself; at least, all the previous times she'd used it it seemed to work quite nicely. Iris likely recognized her as the source of most of her woes, though Vivienne made an attempt to avoid speaking with her or interfering whenever necessary. A promise was a promise.
  28. [14:34:17] <Camille> "That is a worrisome situation... How is it that you are held down by those enemies of yours anyway? Have you tried to do anything to remind the people that you are not just some monsters? It might be that you could sway them to... I don't know."
  29. [14:34:43] <@Charm> "..." Iris looks up at Rayna. Or at least you think so, her eyes are kinda glassy - she definitely has had a bit too much...
  30. [14:35:57] <@Charm> "People...they're afraid of *hic* what they can't under*hic*stand. We tried diplomacy...and that's why Rachelle isn't here anymore..."
  31. [14:37:25] <Vivienne> More than annoyed at the clothes she had to sleep in, upon crawling out of the bed Vivienne shivered with disgust. But that disgust may just as well have been aimed at the gloomy atmosphere. "Heavens, is complaining ALL you fools do?" A sudden wince... what a headache. That didn't stop her from standing up, thoug. "That time could just as easily be spent preparing a morning snack, yes?"
  32. [14:37:25] <Rayna> "I don't have to make them understand. It wouldn't be that hard to sneak out and... beg. Or something less humiliating. We'll need food, won't we?"
  33. [14:38:13] <@Charm> "Food...and something to drink...and some new clothes would be..." Iris let's out a wistful sigh.
  34. [14:38:51] <Camille> "..." she didn't know what to say other than "Well we will all have to find out something don't we?"
  35. [14:39:47] <@Charm> "...you may be on to something though. I'll see what I ca-" Iris' comment is cut short by a mind-numbing yelp coming from upstairs, waves of magic cascading from its source, perking up the others who had yet to fully awaken.
  36. [14:39:59] <Vivienne> Vivienne wasn't one to play the optimist... which made it all the stranger that she did. Or maybe she was just really hungry? Noble stomachs don't growl, we all know this-- it had to be only assumed. "And what exactly is preventing them from being MADE to understand?" A spark emerged from a ring or two.
  37. [14:41:12] <@Charm> "Simple...there are too many of them. For each one you could 'convince' three more have you pinned down and..." she stops and stands up. Wobbly.
  38. [14:41:53] <Camille> Camille reached to cover her ears when she heard the yelp. "What was that?"
  39. [14:41:53] <Rayna> "Honestly, I don't feel like drinking is getting us anywhere. What exactly do you guys living here want to achieve? Are you all just surviving, existing, or do you have a reason? Myself, I have a reason, and sitting around all day getting drunk won't help."
  40. [14:43:01] <Vivienne> ... Not that she didn't shudder monstrously at the sound of the familiar yelp. Pixy was one person she was almost able to respect due to her having to deal with THAT every day. "That's exactly my point-- one at a time accomplishes nothing, even you should know that." As Rayna spoke she let out a soft smile.. an oddity for her, of course. "But I do believe we're in agreement here."
  41. [14:43:24] <@Charm> "...we fought. We lost. Existing is better than the alternative...but if the wraiths return...with the three of you...we might be able to get enough."
  42. [14:44:59] <Vivienne> This had been happening every day. EVERY day. And Vivienne was sick of it. All three of them to complete such a simple task? She glared at Iris with all the strength her facial muscles could muster. "... I can't believe I was defeated by somebody so weak." It may have been muttered, but it was muttered loudly.
  43. [14:45:59] <Rayna> Rayna glanced at Vivienne. These girls lost, last time? Well, so did Vivienne. It was a shame, but Vivienne made it quite clear how much she hated losing; Rayna didn't expect to see something like that happen again. "A couple more just showed up, right? This... group, if you will, has to be far stronger than it used to be. The three of us aren't new to fighting wraiths, either."
  44. [14:46:58] <@Charm> "Maybe...maybe there is something..." Iris muses out loud, before calling over everyone. The one-armed Pixy was the last to enter, her body still numb. Vivienne knew what that felt like.
  45. [14:48:37] <Vivienne> While she hated agreeing with people almost as much as she hated losing, Vivienne nodded at the truths Rayna spoke. "If you plan to spend any longer being so indecisive, I WILL fight them all alone. And I strongly doubt my endeavors will be as... unsuccessful as last time." With a glance and a bit of a glare, a small spark emerged and was tilted somewhat in Camille's direction.
  46. [14:50:08] <Vivienne> "... So, speak. If you have plans I'll lend my powers to them, but make it quick." There was a small noise... but uh, it wasn't a stomach growl. Nope, noble stomachs don't do that, must've been somebody else.
  47. [14:50:18] <@Charm> "We're running out of supplies...and with this many mouths to feed, we can't trust Gaelyn to provide everything. So we're gonna have to provide for ourselves." there's a bit of confusion among the ranks. Were they downsizing? Cannibalizing? Eating dirt for lunch?
  48. [14:51:43] <@Charm> "I know it's unprecedented...but we are gonna have to take whatever we can get. It's time we take these matters into our own hands."
  49. [14:52:02] <Camille> "Of course if its wraiths they'll have to be ended. But if you want to go against humans as well I am not so sure of it. You're making it sound like they're the same."
  50. [14:53:22] <Vivienne> "Hmph." As snooty as ever, arms folded she turned her attention back to her sister. "We only fought wraiths because they opposed us. And what are these humans doing? They have to be put in their place SOMEhow."
  51. [14:53:24] <@Charm> "they may as well be. But if you want to merely leave them unconscious, I won't force you to finish them. But we need supplies. And we need to take them by whatever means necessary."
  52. [14:53:34] <Rayna> Rayna nodded in vague agreement. It wouldn't do to overwhelm them and make them feel ganged up against, but Vivienne was right. "I hope you all agree when I say I don't desire to leave myself in fate's hands. I'd rather get out and make what I want happen... but I don't know this place well. I'm willing to go out under cover or to fight. We need a plan, don't we?"
  53. [14:55:29] <Camille> "I would say we do indeed need one Rayna. Rushing out blindly and... drunk. Would just end up being marching to our own end." Camille didn't like how grim she made everything sound. But she wanted to nail her point in.
  54. [14:55:35] <@Charm> "Pretty sure that's my thing." Pixy speaks up as Iris cedes the floor to the one-armed girl. "there's 12 of us here...so let's have two groups of three and three of two. Alpha, Beta, Charlie, Delta, Echo squad."
  55. [14:56:41] <@Charm> "Iris n I will stay here for support if you need to fall back, and im sure she can provide covering fire if you need it. The rest of you figure out how to split up."
  56. [14:59:06] <Vivienne> "This IS awfully sudden for a group that has yet to get anything done." Vivienne tilted her head a bit, in thought. Strangely enough considering who it was. "Then, I would like whatever group requires as much raw magic power as possible. You brilliant strategists may decide the battle plans on your own-- I only know you're GOING to need my skills."
  57. [15:05:50] <@Charm> There's a good deal of debate as to who will do what. But nothing is solid yet.
  58. [15:06:22] <Rayna> Rayna nodded, "I don't want to harm anybody or take what we don't need. That wouldn't be right. I could divert attention or see to any wraiths in the area, if either of those are reasonable ideas. Theft isn't something I'm very comfortable with, and theft with force just doesn't seem right. Not to normal people."
  59. [15:08:56] <Vivienne> "Even normal people who try to capture you and take your homes?" She stared deeply at Rayna, into her eyes even. Or more accurately, into her aura.. and she was disgusted. It was filled with honesty and sincerity, and to somebody like Vivienne who prioritized power it was almost suffocating to even listen to. "I'm disappointed. One would think you would be better than this."
  60. [15:10:04] <@Charm> "I understand if it seems a bit harsh...but this is literally life-or-death. There isn't a lot else choice."
  61. [15:11:33] <Camille> "Well I have nothing against taking what is needed. We are doing it to survive not for any further gain. But I will not hurt people during it. I must also say I am against the three of us splitting up. We already know how each of us fight. If we split up into different teams we would be paired with people we have not fought with before. So I to repeat that. I believe we should put people...
  62. [15:11:34] <Camille> ...together with the ones that understand each others abilities best."
  63. [15:13:00] <Rayna> Rayna stared back. She didn't want confrontation with Vivienne, but it could very well be necessary. She couldn't be pushed around on EVERY front. "The one who took me from my home isn't here. If we run into the people who hunt us and seek to strip our power, I won't argue against fighting them. But average commoners busy living their own lives? It's not right to harm theirs for our own
  64. [15:13:00] <Rayna> sake, not if they haven't done a thing to us. If that means I'm not good enough for you, Vivienne, I'm disappointed, but that doesn't mean I'll budge."
  65. [15:13:02] <Vivienne> A muffled, childish giggle. "And you seriously think we'd be able to agree with another? I find that you'd only attempt to hold me back from using my powers and put us all in jeopardy. BUT if you can agree to not do that..."
  66. [15:14:54] <Vivienne> "Good enough for..." She closed her eyes, being flooded with images. Why did that sound so familiar? The spoiled noble smiled the tiniest of smiles. "We ARE fighting for the same purpose, after all. As long as we end up achieving those goals..."
  67. [15:15:45] <Camille> "And you would rather be paired with the "peasants" as you call them? The ones you dislike? How long would it be until they abandoned you on the field Vivienne?"
  68. [15:18:17] <Vivienne> "Are you trying to claim that I can't keep up with them? I find it hard to believe that somebody would abandon an ally who actually USES their power. As long as they stay out of my way, I don't care much for which group ends up following me along." At least her arrogance hadn't been toned down the slightest bit.
  69. [15:19:01] <@Charm> "Alright then..." the rest of you seem to have figured out how you are dividing yourselves up. "Alpha team, you're in charge of fluids. If you can find untainted water, that's great. If not...we'll manage with something stronger." the girl turns to the three of you. "Bravo team. You're in charge of threads. I don't think any of us care about what exactly you get so long as it's warm."
  70. [15:19:48] <@Charm> "Charlie team, see if you can get anything from the butcher. Delta team, same for the baker. He's likely the easiest of the four, so play nice you two."
  71. [15:19:54] <@Charm> "Any questions?
  72. [15:21:05] <Vivienne> Vivienne shivered with another small bit of disgust at the idea of these other... peasants wearing the same clothing she did. But at least it was something she would find a bit easier than any of the others, from what she'd heard. While there was definitely something she was curious about, she WAS Vivienne after all-- she remained silent when inquired. She'd find the answer out herself.
  73. [15:21:37] <Rayna> Rayna wouldn't turn her eyes from Vivienne without getting in her last words, "Regardless of your opinion on me, I still have faith in you. I'll follow along with you and Camille for this ordeal, but I think you know what you can expect from me. Don't drag me into a situation where you know you'll disagree with what I have to do. Are we all ready?"
  74. [15:22:25] <Camille> Camille sighed "You do not understand what I am saying it seems. No matter, I guess. As long as you're not paired with them. I would be worried for you if you did."
  75. [15:23:34] <@Charm> "Okay then. Move out!" Pixy seems a bit *too* excited here...but you all have your missions. Iris starts trudging up the stairs - presumably upwards the roof of the place.
  76. [15:25:13] <Vivienne> Like she ever listened. Especially considering what was about to happen-- in the middle of the room, after a quick glance at the hideous page boy uniforms, sparks began flooding out of Vivienne's rings without warning. The outfit she had on began warping and distorting as a raiment or two poured out and slid through it before anybody could say or do anything to stop it.
  77. [15:25:44] <Rayna> "Shouldn't we move away from here before we transform? You know, to avoid getting tracked back here."
  78. [15:27:16] <Vivienne> "Tracking? Pfft, as though they even have such capabilities. I would just rather have a disguise that's a bit more..." She stumbled with words a bit before finally saying what was on her mind. "Fashionable." Noticing a stray raiment floating around her, she quickly pushed inside her outfit and acted like nothing was there.
  79. [15:27:43] <@Charm> "Iris had Gaelyn shield this place. Any magic tracking they have will run them half way across the Channel." Pixy smirks.
  80. [15:28:00] <Rayna> "Why did you keep us from using magic for days, then?"
  81. [15:28:32] <Camille> Turning around, Camille started going towards the door. Turning back when she reached it. "Good idea Rayna. So let us just hurry out for now. I wonder if it looks the same as the last place. Nevertheless as you said we should go to a place as far away as possible before we make ourselves known."
  82. [15:28:39] <@Charm> "Well...it isn't perfect. Better safe than sorry, right? That said, I still don't think transforming is good here."
  83. [15:29:22] <Vivienne> "See? You're paranoid for nothing!" With a huge grin, she began distorting her clothing despite the struggling raiment forming a noticeable protrusion in her chest. At least, she definitely didn't notice herself. Let's see... what would look good without drawing too much attention in a crowd like this one? Would it still be applicable to dress noble?
  84. [15:29:36] <Rayna> "If we're just trying to find clothes, is it even a good idea to transform? How many disguises do we have?"
  85. [15:29:44] <Vivienne> ... Or furthermore, would they suspect somebody in a school uniform? She fished around in her own mind for an excuse to don her favorite.
  86. [15:30:10] <@Charm> "just go as yourselves - the disguises will hurt more than they help." a school uniform would likely go unnoticed...
  87. [15:32:35] <Rayna> It would look awfully weird for a pageboy to be trying to acquire girls' clothing, wouldn't it? Yeah, best to hope they haven't somehow acquired a reputation and search around without a disguise. Rayna followed Vivienne and Camille on out into the unknown.
  88. [15:33:39] <Vivienne> "I think you're just incapable of enjoying yourself, One-arm." That settled it. Despite her looking... uh, SLIGHTLY different, around her body began forming into the school uniform from the previous 'world' she'd grown so fond of, though embarrassingly so. Finishing the magical work, she wore a large grin and began to move. "You two will be my escorts, then. Understood?"
  89. [15:35:58] <@Charm> "...If you're gonna mock my missing limb, at least come up with a cooler name...'Solo-Wing' has a nice ring to it..."
  90. [15:36:51] <Rayna> Escort, huh? Well, there were worse titles, and this particular kid definitely needed to be escorted. Dangerous on her own, to others as well as herself. Rayna nodded with a tiny bit of irony and a ton of sarcasm, "Why of course, Mistress Vivienne."
  91. [15:37:50] <Vivienne> "Mono-limb and that's my final offer." A childish giggle-- she hadn't been able to have fun since she came to this hellhole. At least that was getting somewhere.
  92. [15:39:05] <@Charm> "Just go before i decide to show you how it feels to be missing an arm." It's unclear which is scarier: that Pixy made the threat, or that she was completely sober when she made it.
  93. [15:39:11] <Camille> Camille just stood there looking like she was having a huge headache. These people sure had time to be playing around didn't they? "Can we please just leave?"
  94. [15:41:09] <Rayna> Rayna ignored the empty threats Solomonosinglearmwinglimb was tossing at Vivienne and got moving, assuming the others would either follow or reclaim their lead. "Yes, I intend to get going. If you don't want to follow, Vivienne, then this is your opportunity to hurry up."
  95. [15:42:57] <Vivienne> "Yes, yes, I'm coming, I won't have you giving ME orders." Headache calming down plenty, she seemed to be in an awfully good mood. And clearing her throat, she began silently reciting to herself lines to explain to any civilians that she was being escorted to purchase clothing... purchase. Was something missing here? Nope, probably not.
  96. [15:44:53] <@Charm> Upon leaving the building, they all realize what was missing - warm coats. With the wind, its REALLY FUCKING COLD. And even though it's sunny...not even Vivienne's magical outfit can shield her from the frigid gale
  97. [15:46:04] <Vivienne> Is that a challenge? Because the raimen-- ... oh, right. Noticing that thought, Vivienne began to shiver a bit with not much to keep her mind away from it. She would head to the front of the group and walk proudly in her outfit, perhaps even looking a bit mature for her age.
  98. [15:48:17] <Rayna> That was awfully cold, Rayna was concerned for the youngest girl's health. Wouldn't do for her to catch cold, but there wasn't much she could do to help. After all, they were going out to FIND clothes. "Are you quite sure you don't want me in front to break the wind?"
  99. [15:50:13] <Vivienne> She looked back and analyzed Rayna's aura again... it was starting to make more sense now. With a childish giggle, she continued marching. "I believe I can handle something this simple, thank you." ... Shiver shiver. Independence wasn't an easy thing to acquire.
  100. [15:50:26] <Camille> Seemingly somewhat undisturbed by the cold (but the goosebumps on her skin betraying her lack of warmth) Camille walked briskly ahead. "I am sure that if she desires something like that she can ask herself in the worst manner possible. Lets just keep moving. At least we won't forget what we need to find when the wind is this awful."
  101. [15:53:29] <Vivienne> "Hmmmph. At least ONE of my escorts acts like a proper one." Continuing to move, she would make a brief pause to discern their location. A good place to find clothing would be... which way, again?
  102. [15:53:50] <@Charm> That way It doesn't take too long to find a clothing shop - it looks fairly promising.
  103. [15:56:02] <Vivienne> Good. At least, she was still pretty sure there was nothing missing. Head held high she took a step forward, but turned to her companions before making her way inside. "Now; which of you has the adequate funds for all this, again?"
  104. [15:56:59] <@Charm> Oh right. That other thing missing. Well, probably.
  105. [15:59:11] <Rayna> Funds? Right, that would be a pretty big problem, especially if Rayna didn't want to steal, if at all possible. "I don't think any of us do, we'll have to find other means to getting clothes. A lot of clothes."
  106. [16:00:03] <Camille> Camille raised an eyebrow "Funds? None of us. Which is why we're taking it. As much as I hate to say it, it is necessary."
  107. [16:00:45] <Vivienne> "Don't... have? Whatever do you mean?" She cocked her head again, legitimately confused at this. "All servants carry money with them, don't they?" Stopping to ponder, she realized that they really WERE missing something critical. And in a way she had yet to ever truly comprehend. "Then, how will we..." ... Oh.
  108. [16:01:39] <@Charm> Yeah. Oh. Well better devise a plan and quickly, the wind waits for no man and especially no magical girl.
  109. [16:03:06] <Vivienne> ... And they weren't being targeted by those anti-magical girl squads either. There goes Vivienne's usefulness. The spoiled brat drew a blank, standing in place knowing fully well that all she'd be able to do would be to put on an act-- not like she had any doubt that she would make a convincing noble, being the real deal after all. Right? ... Sure.
  110. [16:03:57] <Vivienne> ... It sure did feel like she was forgetting something else that she'd been told. Oh well, probably nothing!
  111. [16:05:11] <Rayna> "Stealing it... We don't have to use force, do we? We could try mundane means, first. Hurt less people by just sneaking in and taking it. Besides, if we use magic to do it, we'll only be making them think worse of us."
  112. [16:05:20] <Camille> "I don't think we should dawdle... I really do hate having to do this but we should find some clothes. Warm ones preferably and just leave. Anyone that tries to stop us. Well Vivienne you shouldn't hurt them but I guess scaring them off works..."
  113. [16:07:47] <Vivienne> She certainly heard 'use magic to do it,' and that was a lightbulb. "Then..." She looked around, to be sure nobody was watching. "Why can we not use what powers we have to make this go easier for us? I believe... with some work, I certainly could form a convincing enough disguise to appear as somebody they would simply give away their products to." She stopped to ponder some more.
  114. [16:08:11] <Vivienne> "All you would need to do is play the part of trustworthy servants. Unless... either of you have any better ideas?"
  115. [16:08:43] <Vivienne> She trailed off into an inaudible mumble. "... Not as though I'd have trouble causing havoc."
  116. [16:10:02] <@Charm> Be that as it may...the indoors looks awfully comforting.
  117. [16:10:43] <Vivienne> ... Right, it really doesn't feel that great being outside. The shivering was making that clear, but going in without a plan... oh, whatever. A ring-wearing hand was outstretched to the door...
  118. [16:12:01] <Rayna> Rayna sighed; this would be harder than anticipated, and Vivienne would be virtually useless. "Well, what will it be? Are you willing to try nonviolent stealth before we go and cement these people's opinions on us?"
  119. [16:12:13] <@Charm> There's the sounds of explosions a few blocks down...maybe someone was getting in to trouble?
  120. [16:13:59] <Camille> Camille looked rather uncomfortable about the whole ordeal now that they actually had to do it. "Just do whatever you have in mind. If for once you're not going to do something stupid I will try to support it."
  121. [16:15:45] <Vivienne> ... Not do something stupid? That's unlikely to happen. Considering Vivienne hadn't met the group that was targeting them, ideas were running low, but... hmm. Resting her hand on the doorknob, she paused. "... Magic-users are a problem that everybody in this world is afraid of, yes?"
  122. [16:17:14] <@Charm> That does seem to be the case. At the very least everybody in this country.
  123. [16:17:29] <Camille> "Apparently so, so if we have to we can probably scare them to do nothing while we take what we need."
  124. [16:17:37] <Rayna> Rayna stared at Vivienne suspiciously; this probably wasn't good, but she didn't have much of a plan herself, at least not more specific than 'go and steal clothes without hurting people.' She would at least hear her out, so Rayna nodded her head.
  125. [16:19:31] <Vivienne> "For once, DEAR sister, I think my plan may be a bit more tame than yours." Looking backwards with a bit of a nervous tremble - or maybe it was just the wind again - she began to open the door. "We'll be the victims. Follow my lead."
  126. [16:21:01] <@Charm> *ding~ling* a bell above the door chimed. The place seems empty, save one girl who was likely no older than Iris.
  127. [16:22:55] <Vivienne> Older than Vivienne, at least. While she wasn't the greatest actor, the explosion not too far away was likely loud enough to help them out here. That said, the girl didn't walk inside, but rather dashed and began panting as though she was out of breath. Fake, of course, but perhaps somewhat convincing. And now for the REAL work. "H-Help, the town's under attack!"
  128. [16:23:24] <@Charm> "Attack?" the girl cocks her head.
  129. [16:25:05] <Vivienne> Nod nod. Her stomach churned speaking these lines. "The magical girls are trying to burn it to the ground-- you HAVE to find shelter!" She shot a glance up to her partners-in-crime, hoping they'd at least back her up if she was doing a poor job. Which she obviously was; seriously, where would she learn how to put on a convincing act?
  130. [16:26:13] <Rayna> Oh, that was devilish, but how would she play it to get them clothes? Rayna followed after Vivienne, putting on her best worried face. This might manage to not only work, but avoid harming anybody. She didn't particularly want to talk, but Rayna had a bit of experience with deception, by now. "Don't tell me you haven't heard the explosions! Where's your sense of self preservation?"
  131. [16:26:32] <Charm> "The explosion..." it did dawn on her. "Come on...I think we might be safe in the shelter."
  132. [16:28:35] <Vivienne> We? ... Oh, right, that's the other thing she was forgetting. That said, she almost started fumbling. "W-We're volunteering to warn the townspeople before it spreads, we have to make our way to the next shop first. P-P-Please hurry!" She stood still the whole time while speaking, the lack of body movement making her nervousness apparent. Not even a fake bow.
  133. [16:29:56] <Charm> "Umm...are you sure? if they find you, they'll kill you...or worse!"
  134. [16:29:58] <Rayna> Yeah, Vivienne was choking. Rayna stepped in, putting a gentle hand on her shoulder. Inside, it made her nervous. Really nervous; Vivienne probably wanted to hit her, but she had to at least appear like she was reassuring the girl. "It'll be alright, we'll gotta get to the others."
  135. [16:40:10] <Charm> "I...are you sure? I mean...you two have a long life in front of you...m-maybe I should go..."
  136. [16:42:06] <Vivienne> "N-No, u-uh, they... won't suspect us at all, we're actually..." Let's see, what's a magical girl's worst enemy? Something that they'd be deathly afraid of and give the three of them the okay to go 'warn the town?' Oh, right. "Wr-"
  137. [16:42:51] <Rayna> ...This was harder than expected. Rayna wasn't playing it half as smooth as she wanted, and probably came across as afraid. That wasn't terrible, and she was a bit scared, but what could they do to convince her... "N-no! We came here to tell you and everybody else, letting you go do it isn't right. Besides, we have Camille to keep us safe!" She looked at the oldest girl with pleading eyes.
  138. [16:46:26] <Charm> "...are you sure you can keep the two of them safe?" the girl looks at Camille.
  139. [16:46:34] <Camille> Camille could see they needed help but didn't really know what to say. Well regardless she had to try saying something. "They're speaking the truth. You need to get to safety girl." leaning forward and softly hitting the desk with her hand, acting like this felt unnatural and awkward to her. "You have to get to safety, now! Do not worry about us. We will be fine." Camille was rather nervous...
  140. [16:46:37] <Camille> ...about this but tried to put on a face as serious as she could in showmanship.
  141. [16:47:54] <Charm> "...okay. I'll trust you...stay safe!" The girl retreats, most likely into a bunker. which leaves the three of you. alone.
  142. [16:49:56] <Rayna> Rayna released a huge breath, "Hah, I was starting to worry she wouldn't ever leave. Now what, Vivienne? Go through her closet? ...But she was awfully nice and DID seem concerned for us."
  143. [16:50:02] <Vivienne> The deepest sigh in a thousand universe made it out Vivienne's mouth. Even louder than the fake panting. "That... was much more nerve-wracking than I expected it to be. And..." For the first time in years, she looked up at her sister in a way that wasn't angry. ".. Never mind. Let's see here~"
  144. [16:51:09] <Camille> As soon as she was sure the girl couldn't hear her Camille groaned loudly. That felt uncomfortable beyond measure. Lets take some clothes now. Warm ones I hope. I do not want to go back like this."
  145. [16:51:20] <Charm> there's plenty of clothes of varying sizes and quality.
  146. [16:51:40] <Vivienne> It was too late; Vivienne had already made her ways through everything she could find on display, picking out only the most elegant-looking outfits she could find. Mainly, things she would allow herself to be caught wearing. That said, at least from her own collection, a lot of coats and other warm things were missing. Although, there were a couple fashionable ones.
  147. [16:52:34] <Vivienne> And she searched some more areas of the store, as well, though she made sure to make haste before it became apparent that there really WAS no magical girl raid... besides their own. Curious, there wouldn't happen to be any paper around, would there?
  148. [16:52:57] <Rayna> Rayna would stand around and carry what they asked her to. She was neither knowledgeable about fashion nor at all comfortable taking these things from that nice girl. It felt slightly sickening. Hopefully it would be over soon.
  149. [16:54:02] <Camille> Inspecting the clothes racks, Camille picked out something warm and useful. She'd already accepted that status meant little very long ago. At least until they came home. But she couldn't help herself to pick out something that didn't look fashionable and high-class.
  150. [16:55:47] <Charm> well, they probably have enough. maybe more than enough. all that's required is a hasty retreat...right?
  151. [16:55:47] <Camille> After changing into the clothes she picked out she began to pick out other clothes with reckless abandon. It didn't matter what the others were getting as long as they got out of here fast. She'd already spared herself the luxury of not suffering the winds on the trip back, she didn't give herself enough time to think about what other clothes the rest of the girls would be getting. It...
  152. [16:55:49] <Camille> ...probably wouldn't matter much to them anyway as long as it was something new to wear.
  153. [16:57:19] <Rayna> "Maybe we should sneak out the back door, if she has one."
  154. [16:58:26] <Charm> it doesn't seem like it. but with the winds as bad as they are...chances are they won't be spotted.
  155. [17:00:12] <Vivienne> Vivienne would load herself with as many cute outfits as she could carry, almost overencumberingly so... but she wouldn't halt her search for something to write on before leaving.
  156. [17:00:41] <Charm> it doesn't take that long
  157. [17:01:07] <Vivienne> To find paper?
  158. [17:01:36] <Camille> Focused on grabbing as many items on clothing she could find and carry rather than conversation "Let us just move as soon as we cannot carry any more. This all feels so wrong and I want it over with. Front door, back door, whichever."
  159. [17:01:45] <Charm> yeah. that's usually what you write shit on
  160. [17:03:21] <Vivienne> Perfect! Searching for a utensil to actually write on it with, she would immediately begin scribbling with the one free hand she had left, and quickly so. She spent a bit of time considering after a few seconds, though, eventually having to turn to the others for advice, much to her dismay. "Let's see... what would be an intimidating name people would associate magical girls with?"
  161. [17:09:28] <Rayna> Oh boy, what was Vivienne getting herself, no, getting THEM into? Actually, Rayna didn't want to know; at least the last plan actually worked. "A big bad magical girl name...? What about Hailey? That sounds like the type of name a magical girl that assaults others would have."
  162. [17:11:19] <Vivienne> "... Fair enough. It certainly does seem awfully terrifying." With a bit of scribbling, a note telling of the magical girl 'Hailey' taunting the store owner found its way on the front desk. And just maybe it'd buy them some time... maybe. It certainly wouldn't be improving their image, but who are they to complain so long as they got what they came for?
  163. [17:12:41] <Vivienne> "We'll be leaving now." Vivienne pushed the door open, clothing in tow, only to find...
  164. [17:13:19] <Charm> a lot of wind. and sun. and empty streets. and a plume of smoke several clicks away.
  165. [17:14:50] <Camille> Camille approved. "Good, let us hurry. I do not want anyone to see us like this."
  166. [17:15:12] <Vivienne> While it was entirely possible that their comrades could be in danger, they WERE divided into teams for a reason. And more importantly, Vivienne was Vivienne. Wordlessly she made her way back to where she remembered the base being, with only a minor flinch at the thought of her favorite new meal being in trouble.
  167. [17:15:25] <Rayna> Rayna followed behind their well preteen leader. On one hand, she was happy they were not only successful, but had avoided any conflict, but on the other, they no doubt harmed the image of the magical girls AND stole from a nice person. The times were desparate.
  168. [17:17:17] <Charm> Desperate indeed. but...it could have been worse. they only took clothes - there was likely several hundred quid they could have stolen, plenty more clothes they left on the racks...and the people in there were unharmed.
  169. [17:18:20] <Charm> a thundrous boom rang out as they approached the base.
  170. [17:18:52] <Vivienne> .. That isn't good. The young noble wouldn't allow herself to do more than turn to the direction it came from, but perhaps even that was too much.
  171. [17:19:56] <Charm> it comes from above them. the roof of the building.
  172. [17:20:52] <Rayna> Rayna looked around frantically; was it the magish inquisition? A wraith? Maybe someone turned traitor? Or even a mundane person tracked them down and was now armed? They had to keep their wits about them.
  173. [17:20:53] <Vivienne> Without even thinking she closed her eyes, feeling rather than seeing. Was there more than green up there?
  174. [17:21:01] <Camille> While this definitely didn't sound good, Camille hoped that things would turn out to be under control
  175. [17:25:30] <Vivienne> ... There wasn't. That meant there was no need for concern. Vivienne knew all too well how the girl with the forest green aura fought and wasn't concerned so long as she seemed to be the source rather than the target. However, making her way into the base, she would still do a bit more surveying than one would expect. They DID need to report their results, after all.
  176. [17:26:32] <Charm> there's a note on the table stating that the two of them are on the roof. nothing Vivienne didn't already know.
  177. [17:26:43] <Rayna> Rayna followed Vivienne cautiously; something still didn't feel right. There was no need to transform just yet, however.
  178. [17:28:41] <Camille> Dumping the clothes inside in a pile, Camille decided to go up and see what was happening on the roof as well. Most likely everything was not under control and they had to go save someone from trouble. Something she wasn't entirely uncomfortable with after the previous ordeal.
  179. [17:30:06] <Vivienne> Vivienne was much less concerned, apparently, letting out only a sigh. As she placed the clothing where the rest was, a bit unsettled that they got such an improper treatment, she decided to make her way upstairs for a better look. "This is awfully unusual. I appreciated the distraction, but..." Her rings sparked along the way. They wanted action.
  180. [17:32:00] <Charm> there would be action. Iris is lying down on a mat, a huge gun almost as long as she was tall stood up on a tripod, peering out into the city. Iris is looking through an odd lens device, calling out...times.
  181. [17:32:20] <Rayna> Camille's curiosity was logical; Rayna also made her way to the roof, calling out, "Where is everyone? What's happening?"
  182. [17:33:34] <Charm> Iris is shooting things. that's pretty much all there is.
  183. [17:34:05] <Vivienne> As though Vivienne knew anything about sniping. If anything, she secretly wanted to throw off Iris' balance out of spite considering how she felt the pain of death at that rifle's hands. Instead, she approached in a very childlike and curious manner until she were only a few feet behind. "Is it them?"
  184. [17:35:52] <Charm> "Wraiths? nah...Manda and Sammy thought that threatening a guy with a large knife was a good idea...5 o clock Iris, you're closing in." Pixy responds calmly.
  185. [17:36:49] <Camille> "Is the situation under control or should we go support them?" Camille wanted to put the previous task behind them as fast as possible. And what better way than to start a new one?
  186. [17:37:19] <Rayna> "No, more importantly, is our hideout public knowledge, now?"
  187. [17:37:36] <Charm> "Eh...if you really want to. but extraction is only the thing they need. and from this distance? prolly not."
  188. [17:39:24] <Vivienne> "Very well. We've completed our own mission-- if that's all, I will help myself to some..." ... Grrrowl. That... uh, 'Manda and Sammy' was the group going after the food, wasn't it?
  189. [17:39:57] <Camille> "It would most likely be better if I stayed here unless things became to be out of control. Its just, I wish to put this thing we just did behind me is all."
  190. [17:40:22] <Charm> "the meat, yeah. Nat and Gabby and Sarah should be back soon with bread though...1 o clock high."
  191. [17:42:03] <Vivienne> "So we're to sit around WAITING for it?" Vivienne bit her lip, in a manner very unbecoming of a noble. Especially a hungry one. "I do not like this one bit." And with a bit of a pause, she began walking the opposite direction. Spark.
  192. [17:42:40] <Charm> "Well...I'm not too happy about waiting. but what else can we d-oh, that got him. Bogey down, girl."
  193. [17:43:01] <Rayna> Looks like Vivienne had gotten hungry during their adventure. Cooking was something Rayna could handle, but they didn't have much in the way of food to actually cook. "Hey, Vivienne, you wouldn't happen to like crepes, would you? I've been complimented on mine; if someone happens to have gotten ingredients I could actually use, I'd make you some. You know, if you asked nicely." That last
  194. [17:43:01] <Rayna> sentence gave her a lot of pleasure.
  195. [17:44:46] <Vivienne> "Cr..." Without even a voluntary reaction, her eyes lit up. It didn't even matter to her that the pronunciation was a bit off, and there was somebody she knew who pronounced it the same way. Suspicions were at such high levels that they were nearly confirmed. That said, there was no way she could refuse even if she wanted to.
  196. [17:45:29] <Vivienne> "Ingredients... would be what the baker's group would find, w-wouldn't you say?" At the mention of her favorite she had already begun to become extremely nervous, trying to avoid that last part altogether. At least until the time came.
  197. [17:46:38] <Rayna> Well, that might've backfired. Rayna hoped that'd convince Vivienne to stay and wait, but it looks like she might actually want to go find them. It was too late to lie, though. She nodded, "I'd imagine so."
  198. [17:48:58] <Camille> Camille was rather eager to get out again. Seems like being cooped up for so long was also influencing her as well as her desire to forget today. "How about we go find them then? I must say I really do want to have something in front of me right now."
  199. [17:49:13] <Vivienne> "Good. Let's be leaving, then-- it wouldn't do to wait around in a musty place like this." Grrrr. "... And do see to it that they come back with their spoils, Mono-limb." With a brief, though elegant enough, wave, she made her way downstairs ignoring any remarks her comment may have earned. Black Wizard needs food badly.
  200. [17:52:48] <Rayna> Well, if nothing else, Rayna was back in Vivienne's good graces. Or something close to that, apparently. Whatever the case, she followed after the pair. After all, she had supplies to get!
  201. [17:53:02] <Charm> "Sure thing Vivi...there's probably some good drink in there still..."
