Dear god lets clear some stuff up from people constantly posting without understanding the full situation. First of all the app will only cost 1 dollar for the thousands of apps that are on it that would cost up about 50 thousand dollars. Now this will only go in action in 3.0 and thats when we will have a mirror system and a brand new backend and filtering system to get rid of the junk/spam/virus apps. we are hiring several new coders to make sure 3.0 is WORTH the dollar. Don't think of it as paying as 2.7 is now for a dollar. 3.0 Will have so many features its probably going to end up being like 3 - 4 mbs. But of course still a streamlined process.. With mirrors we will NEVER have server problems because it wont be downloading directly on our server. and we will be as legal as any other website because nothing but pictures will be hosted on our server. It'll be like bit torrent or thepiratebay whatever.

3.0 Will also be optimized for Tablet and Tablet specific applications. We are also looking into adding seperate sections for books just like the android market now has. It will have a login system so everything will be neat and secure and there will be a free trial version so everyone can use it as long as they want but be limited by downloads.
3.0 Will also allow you to revert back to older versions of any applications since it will be on a mirror. We will also have a web based applanet much like market.android.com we will also be upgrading the entire website for the release of 3.0.

3.0 will have a bundle of features such as auto and manual application Updating. Web based interface interaction with the application. Tons of app filters and improved search criteria. An entirely brand new revamped uploading system for applanet. User log in and ranks automatically tied to the forums so we can heavily manage your accounts straight with vbulletin plugins which will be great for account sharers.. We will also have a new team of coders so we will be able to fix any challenge we face along the way plus all the interfaces on everyting is going to be changed and revamped. Plus easier ways to install and get applanet on your phone and a special tablet optimized version for those that own tablets.

Everything will be hosted off of our servers so we can run forever and ever. 3.0 Will also  have alot better user statistics so we can see what the users doing and what they are in too so we can provide you with the best results possible considering your other downloads. Thinking of but dont know if we will do it is facebook twitter intergration so you can tweet to your friends about the great apps youve downloaded. Should you be on a tablet and be on wifi only or just going through a spotty area or applanet servers down for maintenance your downloads will pause and resume automatically and or manually.

And plus we are going to try and make the interface as stream lined as possible so you can make your own applanet themes to use and share on applanet. For mods admins and hired help we will be able to manage applanet from within applanet since we will have a login system which allows for management of comments, apps, Users etc.. And this is just scraping the damn surface of what will be able to be done in Applanet 3.0 and why it will be worth your dollar per month...
