So, Zombie, first of all please know that I don't particularly enjoy talking about all this and I'd much rather have an IRC conversation with you on a more informal topic. I feel like I've humiliated myself bringing the opping matter up in a public chatroom, which brought on me reactions such as "he's a megalomaniac" (in addition to that, from someone who has been appointed as an administrator), even though I thought it'd be a good idea if there was input from more people than just you and me, so I could hear them, too.

The situation also feels quite ridiculous, considering I am basically asking for permission to get tools that will allow me to better help uncy, while I've already proven myself trustworthy of them (judging by others' words; again I can point you to the exact quotes of people saying that) as well as worthy (seeing my activity once I got them). Your arguments make perfect sense and I know it's solely my fault if I can't convince you, but I feel the last two days I couldn't bring myself to express in a precise and concise manner the arguments I have. Yesterday I waded off into a long essay on what I was wanting to reform and to try out (in terms of projects), while the precise arguments are at hand.

Leverage clearly said that "another pair of hands would be welcome" to help with featuring and this is one of the first things I did once I got the right to. VFD hasn't been archived for weeks and same was with QVFD until I personally did that. Of course, I could go to IRC once every week to say "Guys, VFD and QVFD needs archiving, there is no feature today and we need to sort out all the articles with expired ICUs/WIPs". But that needs to be done constantly (because this is far from the only time this happens) and I feel no urge to constantly force others what I am fully capable of doing myself, which seems like an unnecessary waste of time. I am also tired of having to constantly sort out between what I can and can't do. I can do Top 10 of the Year, because there are no specific rules about it, as far as I know, and I did manage the voting in 2014. However, I can't update the refeature or the feature queue, none of which are pretty active right now. Again, pestering others and explaining them what to do (Xamralco, who created the refeature queue isn't active and no other admin has ever contributed to it, while I observed the whole process) would just be counter-productive, as I'd be spending most of my time just pestering people. Having these considerations, I decided it was the right time to propose myself for the duty, seeing others were doing the same thing.

It is sad to hear people say "there was no positive consensus", because actually there was. I mean, you couldn't find a single argument against my opping, nobody expressed any serious criticism. For instance, GrammarFegelein changed his vote from for to against, without explanation, and when I asked him if he had any criticism of me (I said I was more than willing to hear it), he answered with "Fine by me". Going back to 2014, when I was nommed for admin by someone else, the final result was negative purely on the account of me being inactive. The only other "argument" was, once again, Madclaw's. He said we didn't need another Spike and everyone then scolded himself for saying that. Seeing how I became less active on Wikia and really committed myself to enuncyco, I think it pretty much removed all concerns (and as a proof, Frosty, who had voted against the first time, supported this op forum).

I understand everything you said, though, and in no way am I asking for you to give me back the rights (which is literally impossible at this point), but you did say you wanted to hear what I could do as an admin that I wouldn't be able to do otherwise and I never really explained myself properly. And I really apologize for having wasted your time yesterday.
