  1. Guide to dealing with fed suits
  2. A look at how to deal with federation shitters by Man's Galaxy aka Ginga
  3.
  4. This will serve as a make shift breakdown of the worst offenders in terms of MS used by feddies in Mobile Suit Gundam Online. Now before shouts of "HURR GIT GUD" start to resonate, I'd like to remind the English player base that most of us deal with a ping of close to 200, maybe more, dodging will only get so far because of this.
  5.
  6. Methods of dealing with all the suits here:
  7. Aim at the ceiling: On maps like New Yark, or any map really with tunnels, aiming at the ceiling does leagues more than aiming at the floor, feddies tend to fly UP from the floor and are most likely to be very close to the ceiling, this allows one well placed zook to knock even an Alex on it's ass.
  8.
  9. Ambush: Nothing says DONE FOR, like a ambushed feddie. Melee works best here, but a good idea is to keep low and let them pass, allowing you to come up from behind
  10.
  11. Shotgun: The ABC may save the Hyaku Shiki from CBRs, but it doesn't save it from lead buckshot to the main camera. If you're lucky and they're airborne, this will knock them down and leave em vulnerable.
  12. ====================================================
  13. Hyaku Shiki:
  14. Boasting anti-beam coating, speed, and a solid weapon set this is the most recent pain in the ass. Standard weapons used by pilots are
  15.
  16. >Zook
  17. >Clay Zook (typically M type, some sightings of standard)
  18.
  19. These two weapons are typically fielded because of the high DPS, coupled with high balance. Basically the Shiki is Kampfer 2.0 in most regards, highly mobile and highly annoying, but with the added bonus of almost no KD from a Charged Beam Rifle shot as so long as ABC is up.
  20.
  21. Other sighted equipment includes
  22. >Vulcan(Rare)
  23. >Beam Saber
  24. >Beam Rifle (rare)
  25.
  26. What's annoying about the Shiki is it's mobility coupled with the fact that damage from the clay zook is PER PELLET, you tend to find yourself raped hard. CBR won't do shit against it while MC is up.
  27.
  28. Methods of counter:
  29. Net gun: Kills the shiki's mobility, the clay zook is still a issue in this case, kill it fast
  30. Ballistics: Despite the ABC pretty much allowing the shiki to eat beams, a standard zaku rifle tears through it's delicate behind rather quickly.
  31.
  32. =====================================================
  33. Guncannon MP (WD)
  34. I refer to this suit as the 'shitter shooter' as it takes no great amount of skill to pilot it, with a module that increases damage dealt built right in, coupled with a possible zook shooter module slap on, this thing's is literally a jackass and a half to deal with. You'll normally see the glowing beam charge before you get into engagement range with this fucks.
  35.
  36. Literally the only loadout you'll see on these fuckers is:
  37. >CBR
  38. >Zook
  39. >Mortar
  40.
  41. Typically they start with CBR, since it's instant switch to and between the bottom two, getting hit by a CBR from one of these is a good way to lose that suit you were just in.
  42.
  43. Methods of counter:
  44. This suit isn't so much a nightmare to fight as it is a pain in the ass because of the loadout, standard tactics apply here, ambushing works well.
  45. ===============================================================================
  46. GP-01
  47.
  48. Fastest suit in the game when it's a Full Bernian (Vernian?) GP-01, which is what you'll ALWAYS SEE. The only real pain in the butt is the CBR this thing like to fly around with.
  49.
  50. Typical loadout:
  51. >Beam Rifle (FA)
  52. >Zook
  53. >CBR
  54.
  55. Also seen in the field:
  56. >Beam Saber (uncommon)
  57.
  58. An atypical GP-01 loadout is a pain, the CBR will not stagger you, but make you take a knee and at that point you may as well close your eyes and think happy thoughts as it's zook comes racing at your cockpit. It's speed is a pain in the butt.
  59.
  60. Methods of counter:
  61. Net Gun: Like every fast MS, a net gun will destroy one of their biggest advantages, though with zeon we only have 2 suits capable of using this (Hildolfr and Dom [CCT])
  62.
  63. CBR: a good Charged Beam Rifle will knock this suit on it's ass, easy picking then provided it's not that hot an area you're fighting in.
  64.
  65. =================================================
  66. GP-04
  67.
  68. Barf beam, explosive beam, rapid fire beams. Literally BEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAMS the suit. Not Speedy Gonzales like a GP-01Fb, but it's a gundam type so it's pretty damn strong.
  69.
  70. Typical load out:
  71. >Barf beam
  72. >Explosive beam blob
  73.
  74. Also seen:
  75. >MG (uncommon, if not rare)
  76.
  77. This suit is basically management saying "FUCK YOU", now I know what you're going to say "b-b-ut the Gerbera tetra". Lemme ask you this, how many zeon suits have shields? how many are super prototypes? a GP-04 is a bigger pain in the but unless you count ZvZ, then they're both equal pains. While a super prototype it's still a suit that can be knocked on it's ass.
  78.
  79. Counters:
  80. CBR: Like everything sans the shiki, the CBR will knock them the fuck out.
  81.
  82. =============================================================
  83. The Alex (RX-78NT1)
  84.
  85. When this suit first rolled out, if it so much as looked in your general direction you were a dead man. With a shield with a FUCK YOU amount of health, and typically only sporting TWO weapons thus making it's balance ungodly, the alex is still a relatively painful thorn in the side of many of us Zeon players.
  86.
  87. Typical loadout:
  88. >Zook
  89. >Arm mounted Gatling
  90.
  91. Also Seen:
  92. >Beam Rifle (Uncommon)
  93.
  94. Basically, this suit is designed to fuck Zeon hard and without lube, the Zook is 10K base with the F type, and gets more fun as the damage increases AND zook shooter combined. Add to that, the switch to the arm mounted gun is instant, a typical tactic for Alex players is to knock your ass down and then rain lead hell on your poor defenseless self while you take it. You will almost NEVER see an Alex player without the above two weapons loaded
  95.
  96. Ways to counter:
  97. CBR: only gonna work if hit from behind or they have their shield NOT in front of them. Otherwise, good luck and kiss your ass good bye because you just pissed it off.
  98.
  99. =====================================
  100. Gundam Mk-II/Barzam Refined
  101.
  102. They're essentially the same suit so fuck it, they're annoying because of their clay bazooka and that's about it. These two aren't even worthy of their own entry, they literally only run Zook, BR and Clay Zook. The two are so generic I won't even bother writing a way to counter them, just go look at the other methods. They're like flies more than wasps.
  103.
  104. ====================================
  105.
  106.
  107. I'll write more later, or update, I'm pretty sure people get shat on hard by the G3 and Gundam. So I'll make their own entries later down the line.
