[14:01] <TenMihara> The entire party, sans Rime, is now assembled at the main gate of the Collegiate, ready to depart
[14:02] * Proverb adjusts her rifle on her back, eager to finally be leaving the Collegiate.
[14:07] * Rime|P looks from the window at her friends. She sighs and gets back to work.
[14:09] <TenMihara> Virgo pays Rime|P a visit!
[14:11] * Rime|P looks over her shoulder at the intrusion. She smiles when it's Virgo. "Heya, Virgy! It's you invading my lab today." She pushes out some convincing enthusiasm. She /is/ glad for the company.
[14:13] <TenMihara> Virgo grins, "I heard you were sticking around and wanted to see what it was you were working on. What is it you're working on anyways?"
[14:15] * Rime|P scoots over at the desk. "We know what frequency the recollect or used to interact with the taintling's brain. In theory, I can set up a broadcaster to freeze up the taintling's in a radius. I'm drawing up a portable projector"
[14:16] <TenMihara> Virgo blinks, "Wait... what's a taintling?"
[14:18] * Rime|P turns. Her brow quirked. She supposes it's a big place and their stuff probably isn't that important to others. "Big taint-exposed changeling. Eats pony's life force or something. We made a device to remove the influence of the tainted queens hive mind."
[14:19] <TenMihara> Virgo looks intrigued, "Like reprogramming, but on a living mutant creature?"
[14:20] * Rime|P nods. "Logic, my colt friend, just mind hacked the last one in a successful trial. Removed the queens influence and rebuilt his memory."
[14:23] <TenMihara> Virgo nods, "Interesting. Does the machine only work on the mutants?"
[14:23] * Razor_ is definitely ready to leave. She had fun on her own, and now it's time for some action! Even better, she doesn't have to stay in this stupid place for more than a short bit.
[14:25] * Rime|P nods. "Yeah, the original machine will work on any sentient creature. Thd redesign will just target the taintling frequency."
[14:26] * Logic sighs. He didn't want to go, but he made an agreement.
[14:28] <RadioHooves> Missile is trotting quietly on his way.
[14:28] <TicTac|Phone> Proverb is ready to go as well!
[14:28] <TenMihara> Daisy stands ready by Green_Field
[14:29] <TenMihara> Virgo nods, "Do you have a broadcaster? Have you tested the idea that it can affect multiple ponies at once at all? Or is that still theoretical?"
[14:33] <Rime|P> "Theory. I'll need to get my hooves on a broadcaster. I'm going to scale down the existing machine to be more pony portable incase the broadcaster doesn't work. I may be able to cobble together a broadcasting array without an actual broadcaster, but it would be rough."
[14:33] * Harmony follows.
[14:34] * Green_Field has been ready as well. A pleasant couple of days have been had here, but he has a job to do and if they're moving out, it's time for him to follow.
[14:39] <TenMihara> Virgo nods, pointing to the impromptu recollector, "You seem to have already done that."
[14:39] <TenMihara> Missile_Rush is leading the way. He's the one who got the location of Stable 90 after all
[14:41] * Provy flies along above the group, her SVD at the ready.
[14:41] * Rime|P blinks. "Well, ive got the hodgepodge revollector, but a broadcaster would take more time. I really hope they come back with stuff."
[14:42] <TenMihara> Virgo tilts her head, "Where are they going?"
[14:45] * Rime|P lets her eyes roll up as she thinks. "Some stables looking for parts and some program thing for somepony in Megamart. Going to see it they can come up woth bits for me too."
[14:46] <TenMihara> Virgo nods, "Are you able to actually run your tests without the components?"
[14:48] * Rime|P sighs. "No. Not without building a stand in broadcaster. Just doing design work and then probably killing time and tightening up the helmet based brain-fucker."
[14:49] <TenMihara> Virgo nods, "If you could borrow a broadcaster, could we test it? It sounds like it would be fun to try!"
[14:50] * Rime|P thinks. "I'm sure we could get him to consent to tests, it is to save his kind. If I could get my hooves on one for testing, that would be great. Do you have one?"
[14:52] <TenMihara> Virgo shakes her head, "I meant more the concept of using it on multiple persons simultaneously. Do you have a frequency for ponies?"
[14:55] * Rime|P nods. "Yeah. We tested it on Logic first. "
[14:55] <TenMihara> Virgo nods, "What if you and I did it? Would that be a good test?"
[14:56] * Rime|P "We'd need yo have someone of a different frequency here to monitor and  bring us out, that or set it to a timer."
[14:57] <TenMihara> Virgo nods, "What about the guy who you already used it on?"
[14:58] * Rime|P considers. "He would work, or Feelers probably. Could have him shut it down if any alarms go off."
[14:58] <TenMihara> Virgo nods, "Are they still here?"
[15:02] * Rime|P blinks. "I... Think so? We'll have to look." She stands and starts the search!
[15:03] <TenMihara> According to Missile_Rush's information, Stable 90 is located near the border of Steel Ranger Territory, but not within it. It would be a bit of a hike either way, but it would be easier to reach the Stable-Tec outlet afterwards.
[15:05] * Razor_ is of the opinion that Steel Rangers are generally assholes and routinely need to be taken down a peg, so she's definitely fine with being near their territory.
[15:06] * Provy keeps her head on a swivel, looking for potential threats.
[15:07] <TenMihara> Proverb gets blindsided (on her blind side) by a bird.
[15:08] <Provy> "OH FUCK!
[15:09] * Provy flails, shaking herself off and regaining her composure before taking another look around.
[15:09] <TenMihara> The bird in question is as big as she is, glowing with a pale green glow. It's gold and green plumage is rather magnificent otherwise
[15:12] <TenMihara> Proverb goes into a tailspin
[15:13] * Provy yelps as she spins out of control. "Motherfucking birds! She attempts to recover
[15:16] <TenMihara> Proverb hears an indignant squawk in response from above. The balefire phoenix circles around, dipping a bit lower as it goes, taking in the large group of ponies.
[15:17] <TenMihara> Proverb levels out
[15:18] * Provy sweeps right over the others heads. She looks back at the phoenix, blinking.
[15:18] * Logic blinks as well!
[15:19] <TenMihara> The phoenix hovers in the air above the party, then dives towards them. It shoots right past them and belches out a gout of green flames at the ground.
[15:20] <Provy> "Whoa! "
[15:20] <TenMihara> The Phoenix then lands on the patch of scorched earth near a small hole, dipping its head in, pecking at something
[15:21] * Razor_ pulls out her weapon. That looked pretty aggressive to her!
[15:21] * Green_Field covers Daisy as it flies by though he knows he won't be a good enough sheild against the radiation.
[15:23] * Provy cautiously approaches the bird, trying to see what it was pecking at
[15:24] <TenMihara> The phoenix pulls a flash fried rabbit out of the hole and begins teating into it, swallowing bits of flesh and hide as it goes.
[15:25] <TenMihara> Daisy seems enamoured with the pretty birdy, although she keeps well back from i
[15:25] <TenMihara> it
[15:27] * Logic blinks. "That thing looks super radioactive." He mentions.
[15:27] <Provy> "Yeah... Best keep back from it. "
[15:28] <TenMihara> The Phoenix isn't shedding too much radiation at the moment, but has a slight heat aura surrounding it
[15:30] * Razor_ eyes it warily. "If it does another one of those... fire attacks, I say we toast it. Take no chances. I don't want it trying to come at us from behind!"
[15:31] <TenMihara> The Phoenix looks up at the ponies with rabbit meat in its beak, then throws its head back to swallow before waving a wing at them in a shooing gesture.
[15:31] * Provy keeps her Rolfe at the ready. She backwings away from it slowly. "back up guys... "
[15:32] * Missile_Rush eyes the phoenix cautiously, but he doesn't back away, nor does he keep his eyes off the bird.
[15:32] <TenMihara> Daisy looks to Green, "Maybe it just wanth to eat in peathe?"
[15:33] <Green_Field> "Seems that way." He shrugs. "Why don't we just get going?"
[15:34] <Provy> "Lead on Missile. "
[15:35] * Missile_Rush knows there's a job to do, and that time's a wasting. But still, he stays quiet, still watching the bird. "One moment."
[15:36] <Provy> "Missile, let's go. We've got a job to finish and we're on the clock if we want that bonus. "
[15:37] * Missile_Rush watches the bird for a few more seconds, before nodding, and trotting quietly onwards.
[15:38] <TenMihara> The bird gives them a squawk as they leave, then continues its meal
[15:38] * Missile_Rush trottrottrots.
[15:39] * Provy follows after Missile, continuing to be on the lookout for danger
[15:39] * Razor_ eyes the bird as they leave.
[15:41] * Green_Field follows after. He eyes the bird just in case.
[15:42] <TenMihara> Daisy waves goodbye to the bird, then follows Green_Field
[15:42] <TenMihara> The Balefire Phoenix seems content to let them leave
[15:50] * Missile_Rush trots onwards.
[15:50] * Provy flies along
[15:52] * Logic nods, then walks on. That was weird.
[15:54] <TenMihara> The party resumes their trek towards Steel Ranger Territory after that brief interruption. Back at the COllegiate, Virgo and Rime found Shifter, and he agreed to help. Feelers comes with as well to be safe
[15:55] * Rime figures she can whip up a test device quickly from the original one. She'll have to rebiuld it as backup, but she has the time. She looks at Virgo. "So, there a broadcaster around we can borrow?"
[15:56] <TenMihara> Virgo nods, "Yeah, I have one. You have to promise you won't break it though. I use it sometimes to remote control my robots if I'm using them in a place I can't go safely."
[15:59] * Missile_Rush trots on, to Stable 90. Stable 90...? What could be in there?
[16:00] <TenMihara> Proverb sees nothing out of the ordinary
[16:00] * Rime nods. "Yeah, not a problem. You could run it through a shredder and I could put it back together. It will be as good as new when I give it back."
[16:02] <TenMihara> Daisy, Green, and Razor also see nothing out of the ordinary. They do however hear a distant grinding sound. Harmony hears it too
[16:05] * Harmony 's ears perk up as she hears the sound. "Did anypony else hear that sound?" she asks, turning her head towards the noise and searching for its source.
[16:05] * Provy perks her ears. "Where's it coming from? "
[16:06] <Green_Field> "I do. Don't know where it's coming from though."
[16:06] * Missile_Rush looks to the others. "What sound?"
[16:08] <Green_Field> "Something is grinding against something else. Some machinery maybe."
[16:09] * Provy nods. "Yeah... "
[16:10] * Missile_Rush listens for the sound, eyes and ears alert.
[16:11] * Razor_ starts to look around more carefully, weapon out and ready, just in case.
[16:19] <TenMihara> The noise sounds like a whirring and grinding, like metal against metal
[16:21] * Missile_Rush frowns. "What is that...?"
[16:23] <TenMihara> The sound is coming from the direction in which they are heading. The direction Stable 90 was in.
[16:23] * Proverb keeps her SVD at the ready. "It's coming from the same direction we're going so I suppose we'll find out.
[16:30] * Missile_Rush frowns, as he takes to the air. "Something isn't right. Wait here." He spreads his wings, as he flies ahead and tries to survey what's ahead from his position in the sky.
[16:57] <Green_Field> "Sounds like we've arrived at our destination."
[17:01] <TenMihara> The grinding noise stops after a minute
[17:02] * Proverb blinks. "It stopped..." She looks down at the others, then back ahead. "Means that something's controlling it probably."
[17:05] <TenMihara> Proverb can see a rock formation nearby. Missile can see the same formation, and a few bits of smaller rock tumbling down it, shaken loose by vibrations.
[17:07] * Proverb swings her rifle towards it, checking it through her scope.
[17:07] <TenMihara> *Green Field saw the bits of rock falling since it was his crit
[17:07] <TenMihara> Missile_Rush sees Proverb, and is facing the wrong way
[17:07] * Missile_Rush groans with frustration, as he glides back to the group. "I don't see anything."
[17:08] <Proverb> "There's a pile of rocks over there."
[17:08] <TenMihara> Proverb can make out a bit of dust settling on the rocks through her scope.
[17:09] <Proverb> "Looks like dust settling... shaken loose perhaps."
[17:10] * Missile_Rush faces Proverb. "Where?"
[17:10] * Proverb points towards it with her hoof. "Over there."
[17:11] <TenMihara> Green saw nothing
[17:12] * Green_Field nods to no one.
[17:15] * Razor_ keeps her weapon out in case of danger. You can never be too careful.
[17:16] * Missile_Rush gestures for the others to stay back. "Then stay back. I'm going to find out what this is." He takes wing again, flying to where Proverb pointed.
[17:16] * Proverb flies upwards to get a higher angle and covering Missile_Rush with her rifle.
[17:16] * Harmony draws her rifle as well. Just in case.
[17:17] <TenMihara> On the far side, Missile_Rush can see that the rocks are not a pile, but an outcropping over a dip in the terrain. The outcropping has a rickety looking door set into it with the Stable-Tec Logo on it. It's loose on its hinges.
[17:17] * Missile_Rush frowns, taking a closer look at the door. Could it be a trap?
[17:24] * Green_Field hoofs Daisy his Colt .45. "Just like I showed you. Only use it if you need to." He gets out his Plasma pistol for himself.
[17:29] <TenMihara> Daisy gulps and nods, slipping her tail around the pistol and holding it carefully, gingerly
[17:32] * Proverb adjusts her grip slightly. "Come on Missile..." She flies forwards, staying with him from above.
[17:33] <TenMihara> The door doesn't seem to have anything wrong with it, and Missile can catch muffled snippets of conversation and heavy movements echoing from within
[17:34] * Missile_Rush looks sharply up to Proverb and shakes his head, lifting a hoof to his muzzle in a gesture of silence. Gesturing further warning Proverb to stay back, he lands as quietly as possible, situating himself right by the door and tries to listen in.
[17:35] * Proverb backs off, though still well within her rifle's range, aiming down the slope at the door.
[17:36] <TenMihara> Missile_Rush can't make out anything clearly through the door. The voices are echoey and muffled by both distance and door
[17:36] * Missile_Rush cautiously, slowly tries to open the door.
[17:36] * Razor_ is starting to feel twitchy. She doesn't do 'stay back' very well. She starts sneaking up to have her own look.
[17:38] * Proverb quickly moves after Missile_Rush silently, attempting to sneak after him.
[17:38] <TenMihara> Proverb flaps very loudly
[17:38] <TenMihara> Razor is unusually quiet
[17:39] * Proverb lights down on the ground. "Missile!" She hisses quietly.
[17:41] <TenMihara> Missile is reasonably quiet. Upon opening the door, he can see a short hall with a bit of metal walkway, leading to a downward flight of stairs.
[17:43] * Missile_Rush looks sharply to Proverb, frowning deeply at her loudness. Whispering, he looks to her, pronounced and sharp. "Stay. Back." With that, he continues onwards, down the stairs, trying to listen in.
[17:46] * Proverb frowns at Missile_Rush. "I'm not leaving you alone in here." She whispers back, attempting to sneak again.
[17:48] * Missile_Rush looks to Proverb, voice quiet but dangerously low and imperious. "That wasn't a request. I said. Stay. Back." He turns around, going on to try and listen to this conversation.
[17:51] * Razor_ continues moving forward. She's not far behind Proverb. She's definitely not staying behind, that's not how she rolls.
[17:51] * Proverb glares right back at Missile_Rush. "You have help. Deal with it." She replies quietly.
[17:53] * Harmony glances at Green_Field. "Should we follow Razor?"
[17:54] <TenMihara> Daisy would be fine not following. She didn't have any major attachments to Missile or Razor, and knew that Proverb could handle herself
[17:55] * Harmony shrugs and follows behind Razor, quietly so as to not rouse the attention of anything hostile. Including Razor.
[17:56] * Missile_Rush looks at Proverb. What a child. He looks to Razor behind her, and glares at her too. Since when did he become the babysitter? This was something best left to that Green_Field fellow. Or Harmony. He just turns, not bothering to say a word, as he tries to listen to that conversation.
[17:56] * Proverb also perks her ears, listening in as well.
[17:57] <TenMihara> The voices are a bit less muffled with the door out of the way, but they're coming from the bottom of the stairs a good fifty feet down, and maybe further away given the echoing against the stone. The ponymade cavern was dimly lit by hanging lanterns, half of which were dim, and a couple completely burnt out.
[17:58] * Green_Field returns Harmony's look. "We're more likely to get them caught than be able to help them."
[17:59] * Razor_ still has her weapon out, ready for a fight. Missile_Rush should know by now that she doesn't do anything unless she does it boldly.
[17:59] * Missile_Rush is already making his way down those stairs, as his player quite clearly posted in-character and is listening.
[17:59] * Proverb draws her silenced .45, following Missile_Rush down the stairs.
[18:00] * Missile_Rush does know. That doesn't mean he isn't exasperated with Razor_'s recklessness.
[18:00] <TenMihara> Aboue halfway down the stairs, Missile can start to make out some of the conversation. The voices are deep and rumbling. "-don't see why we got stuck out here."
[18:00] <TenMihara> *About
[18:01] <TenMihara> "That's how it always is. The Captain takes her pet Paladins to do everything and the knights get stuck on watch duty. As if there was anything to actually watch. Besides, not like there's anything to see."
[18:03] * Missile_Rush frowns. Paladins? Why were they talking about the Steel Rangers?
[18:04] <TenMihara> "That kinda worries me a bit. Why is it just a hole in the ground here? Think maybe it collapsed from an earthquake or something?"
[18:04] * Proverb frowns deeply, continuing to listen.
[18:04] <TenMihara> "Without taking the door along with it? This has got to be some sort of cock up in the Ministry, or Stable-Tec or something."
[18:06] * Missile_Rush starts at that. Ministry? What year did these ponies think they were in?
[18:08] <TenMihara> "Yeah, but then they sent ponies in here anyways. That's a huge cock up."
[18:08] <TenMihara> "Doesn't matter, there's nothign to see but skeletons and one finished office."
[18:11] * Green_Field looks around to see if Logic is still with him.
[18:11] * Missile_Rush frowns. He tries to get a better look at who's talking without being seen himself.
[18:12] <TenMihara> Whoever is speaking is at the bottom of the stairs, and Missile won't be able to see them without going all the way down
[18:15] * Harmony continues behind Razor.
[18:16] * Missile_Rush then heads down wherever he needs to go.
[18:17] * Razor_ has no issues getting a better look. She heads right on down to join Missile_Rush.
[18:17] * Proverb doesn't follow Missile_Rush this time, remaining at the halfway point. She keeps watsch on the stairs, listening.
[18:17] <Proverb> watch*
[18:17] * Missile_Rush frowns at Razor_. "Stay back with Proverb. She may need your help."
[18:18] * Razor_ gives Missile_Rush a blank look, and simply rolls her eyes.
[18:18] * Missile_Rush frowns at Razor_. Foals. He turns his head away and says nothing, trying to listen closely as he tries to get a better look.
[18:21] * Proverb blinks as Harmony trots past, and then moves to follow her, and by proxy, everyone else.
[18:22] <TenMihara> When Missile_Rush reached the bottom, he sees a smaller flight going down another ten feet to the left, and can hear the voices more clearly now. "I don't see how we're gonna be able to impress the Captain if she never lets us do anything."
[18:22] * Missile_Rush follows down those as well, sneakyweakying his way down.
[18:22] * Proverb thinks Missile_Rush is going to get himself caught...
[18:23] * Proverb moves along with the other 3, taking up the rear now with her Carbine.
[18:24] * Razor_ doesn't get why Missile thinks he can handle himself better than she can. She's a frontline pony, and he's most certainly not. She stays right up front with him.
[18:26] <TenMihara> "Hang on, you seeing red?"
[18:26] <TenMihara> "Shit, yeah. A few of them."
[18:27] * Proverb snaps the saftey on her rifle off. "Time to go." She whispers.
[18:28] <TenMihara> The party can hear metallic hoofsteps. "Think some critters wandered in?" "We had the door shut."
[18:29] * Harmony frowns, rifle ready.
[18:30] * Missile_Rush looks sharply back at Proverb and the others behind her, gesturing at them to move back. He does the same to Razor, though he knows it'll be futile. He knows, at some point, they will have to encounter these ponies. It's best to appear friendly. "Good fellows," he calls down. "May we come down?"
[18:31] * Proverb flips back to her SVD, loading in AP rounds. "Not good..." She mutters.
[18:31] * Razor_ is more than ready to go right for one of them as soon as she can see them. She's not moving.
[18:32] * Missile_Rush looks to the others. "Lower your weapons. Now."
[18:34] * Harmony does as told and raises an eyebrow. "Do you think they will negotiate?"
[18:34] * Proverb slowly lowers her rifle, but makes sure her pistol is very easily accessible.
[18:34] * Razor_ is not a 'lower your weapons' kind of pony. She prefers to keep them raised at all times if she can help it.
[18:35] <TenMihara> One of the metallic voices calls out, "Tribals. This is a restricted area. Leave now. This is your only warning."
[18:35] * Missile_Rush looks to Harmony. "We would have met these ponies sooner or later. It's best to make friends where you can."
[18:35] * Proverb raises an eyebrow at Missile_Rush. "You think you can make friends with Steel Rangers? I've heard of them before, they don't take kindly to outsiders."
[18:40] * Razor_ is ready and raring to fight, at the slightest provocation.
[18:41] * Proverb is tensed as well, hooves still on her lowered weapons.
[18:41] * Missile_Rush frowns. Something didn't feel right about this. "Change of plan. We need to leave. Now."
[18:42] * Missile_Rush turns tail at once. He can't help but feel...drat. This didn't feel right, having nothing to show for it.
[18:42] * Proverb raises her SVD again. "Move it, I'll cover our asses."
[18:44] <TenMihara> Missile is the only one the Steel Rangers actually saw because he want down the last bit of stairs. Everypony else is just red blips on their EFSes
[18:45] * Missile_Rush makes his way back up.
[18:46] * Razor_ gives a snort. "Fuck that. We came all this way. We just make 'em leave." She prepares to move in, not quite going in yet, but she's determined.
[18:48] * Green_Field sighs. So much for letting scouts scout. He looks at Daisy. "I suppose we ought to keep up with them at least enough to keep track of them. We'll hang back though."
[18:50] <TenMihara> Daisy gulps, then nods. She didn't want to see Proverb or Harmony hurt at any rate
[18:51] <Proverb> "Razor... we need to leave."
[18:53] * Razor_ glares at Proverb. She doesn't want to just turn tail, but she doesn't want to go in without any backup, either.
[18:53] * Green_Field slowly starts moving forward, trying to stay quiet.
[18:53] * Harmony nods her head. "I think it would be wiser to leave, Razor."
[18:53] * Missile_Rush is already out.
[18:54] <TenMihara> Daisy stays at Green's side, at least until Missile nearly bowls them over
[18:56] * Missile_Rush looks to Daisy and Green. "Sorry." He dusts himself off, as he speaks. "That way in is a bust. There are Steel Rangers all over the place."
[18:57] * Proverb slowly begins to back out. "Come on Razor_, let's go."
[18:57] * Green_Field just looks at Missile_Rush. "I'm shocked to hear that Steel Rangers are in Steel Ranger territory."
[18:57] <TenMihara> Daisy tilts her head, "I only hear two voices."
[18:58] <TenMihara> *heard
[18:59] * Harmony turns and begins to leave, hoping Razor follows.
[19:00] * Missile_Rush frowns. "Let's go."
[19:00] * Razor_ rolls her eyes. "So just ready your can openers! Swap to your matrix ammo! Come on. It's not that hard!"
[19:00] * Harmony continues to walk away.
[19:01] * Proverb heads out after Harmony, sighing softly. "Razor, come on!"
[19:03] * Missile_Rush trots onwards. The sooner they found that entrance to Stable 90, the better.
[19:04] * Green_Field just follows along.
[19:04] <TenMihara> Missile Rush should have realized from the big, Gear-shaped hole behind the Rangers, that it -was- a Stable entrance
[19:05] * Razor_ gives a growl. She doesn't like it, but she really has no choice but to follow. In her frustration, she yells out down the stairs, "You fucks better count yourselves lucky!"
[19:05] <TenMihara> Razor gets nothing but the revving of a Minigun's rotary motor in reply
[19:05] <Proverb> "RAZOR!"
[19:06] <Proverb> "Let's go!"
[19:06] * Razor_ is following. She's just venting her anger.
[19:07] * Proverb continues up and out with Harmony and Razor_, looking around for Missile_Rush, Green_Field, Logic, and Daisy.
[19:09] <TenMihara> Razor hears metallic chuckling following her our

[19:10] * Missile_Rush is trotting on, to Stable 90.
[19:11] <Proverb> "Missile_Rush! Wait up!"
[19:12] <Missile_Rush> "Keep up."
[19:12] <TenMihara> The group is where Missile_Rush figured Stable 90 would be. They're in the right place, but someone else got there first
[19:12] * Missile_Rush frowns, wondering whatever the magical text in the sky meant by "someone else got there first".
[19:12] <Proverb> "Just, hold up a sec!" She flies after him. "Just stop, this is the place right?"
[19:13] * Razor_ seethes.
[19:25] * Missile_Rush answers Proverb, watching. "This...should be."
[19:25] * Proverb nods to Missile_Rush. "Then we need to stop, regroup, and come up with a plan, okay?"
[19:30] <Green_Field> "Plans are good. As long as they are good."
[19:30] <TenMihara> Daisy raises an eyebrow at Green
[19:31] * Proverb giggles a little. "Yeah, heh."
[19:32] * Green_Field looks at Daisy. "Don't tell me you're one of those ponies that likes to run in with no plan and hope that things work out."
[19:33] <TenMihara> Daisy shakes her head, "Jutht your redundant wording."
[19:33] <TenMihara> Daisy smiles at getting to use the word 'redundant'
[19:33] * Razor_ grumbles. "I had a fucking plan. A perfectly good fucking plan! Cut them out of their damn armor and shoot them in the eyes. But noooooo. That's not good enough for you guys!"
[19:35] * Proverb looks between Razor_, Harmony, Green_Field, Daisy, Logic, and Missile_Rush. "Alright, Missile, did you get a good look at how many Rangers were in there?"
[19:35] * Missile_Rush loosk to Proverb. "Two."
[19:36] * Proverb nods. "Could you see what kinds of weapons they were carrying?" She asks Missile_Rush.
[19:39] <Missile_Rush> "They were armed extraordinarily well. Miniguns and a grenade machine gun."
[19:40] * Proverb nods. "Alright, now, does anyone have any Armor Piercing and/or Anti-Matrix rounds? I have some AP rounds myself." She asks the group.
[19:41] <Missile_Rush> "I have quite a few. But if you suggest trotting in with guns ablaze, Proverb, then I must stop you."
[19:41] * Proverb looks over at Missile_Rush. "I'm not finished. How many do you have and in what caliber?"
[19:42] <Missile_Rush> "Eighty. In Three-oh-eight."
[19:43] * Proverb nods to Missile_Rush. "Alright, what about the rest of you?" She asks, looking to Green_Field, Logic, Harmony, and Razor_.
[19:46] * Razor_ rolls her eyes, and casts her sharpening spell on her sword. She brandishes it a bit for Proverb to see. "Do you really have to ask? Have you not seen me use this thing!?"
[19:47] * Proverb grins at Razor_. "Great."
[19:47] <Green_Field> "Plasma pistol with 144 gem packs, a .44 Magnum with 30 standard, 6 ME, and 24 rubber. We also have my new Colt .45 with 60 standard." She asked, he answered.
[19:49] * Proverb nods to Green_Field. "Alright, and Harmony?" She looks over at Harmony.
[19:49] <Missile_Rush> "Where," Missile asks of Proverb, "are you going with this?"
[19:49] * Logic shrugs. "I just got around seven shots of Plasma, but I got a spell that can bypass armor if I work at it hard enough.
[19:50] <Harmony> "I've forty Micro-sparkle rounds; nothing else."
[19:51] * Proverb nods to Harmony. "Alright." She then addresses everyone, hovering in the air slightly. "Well, there's 6 of us, and only two of them. I say we try and get them to surrender. We have the firepower, and if we move fast enough while they're distracted and surprise them, we'll have the upper hoof. That leaves the distraction though."
[19:51] <Proverb> "Any ideas?"
[19:52] * Logic smirks. "If push comes to shove, I can phase their armor and leave them open."
[19:54] * Proverb nods to Logic. "That's our Plan B."
[19:55] * Missile_Rush raises his brow at Proverb. "If that's your big battle plan, then you need more than weapons. You need a good bluff. And since somepony needs to ask, what happens if all fails and neither plan succeeds?"
[19:56] <Proverb> "Tactical retreat." She replies to Missile_Rush, looking over at him. "And I just asked for ideas for a distraction, you have any?"
[19:57] * Razor_ shrugs. She's not really got anything for distracting.
[19:57] * Missile_Rush looks to Proverb. Such a foal. But he must resist condescension, it just wasn't worth his time. "Bear with me a moment, then, as I explain."
[19:58] * Proverb smiles a little. "I'm all ears."
[20:05] * Missile_Rush would love nothing more than to wipe that smug little smile off the filly's face. "It could be dangerous. Very dangerous. But at this point, a bluff can be all we have." He sighs. "From what ponies have told me, the Steel Rangers value technology above anything else. Perhaps we can use that as an incentive to march through with a relative low risk of violence."
[20:06] * Proverb nods to Missile_Rush. "That'd work... but what would we use to bluff with? What sort of technology?"
[20:07] <Missile_Rush> "What else?" He looks to Proverb. "Enclave technology." He lets a smirk spread across his muzzle. "Shall I go on?"
[20:07] * Proverb grins at Missile_Rush. "Brilliant. Please continue."
[20:08] * Razor_ snorts. "Yeah, and as soon as they find out we're here to take their stuff, they'll stop caring." After a moment, she revises, "Actually, we tell them we have it, they'll just come after us anyway."
[20:10] * Proverb looks back at Razor_. "That's when we surprise them. One of us, either I or Missile, go in first and get their attention, and then while they're distracted the rest of us come in and surprise them and get them to surrender."
[20:10] * Proverb looks to Missile_Rush. "Unless you had another idea?"
[20:17] * Missile_Rush ponders gently. "What if," he thinks out loud, "we were to rattle their brains a little?" His eyes open. "A spy. A traitor among them."
[20:18] <TenMihara> Before MIssile_Rush can get any more bright ideas, the entire party can hear metallign clanks echoing up the stairs.
[20:19] <Proverb> "Oh shit, scratch that, we've got company."
[20:19] * Proverb unslings her SVD.
[20:19] * Missile_Rush turns his head, and smiles to himself. Gesturing with a hoof to Proverb to lower her rifle, he stays with his back turned to whoever is coming, as he speaks out loud. "Aren't you smart enough to stay inside?"
[20:20] <TenMihara> "Hey, I'm still seeing their markers." "Stupid tribals don't take a hint." The sound of heavy ordnance loading can be heard amongst the clacking metallic hoofsteps
[20:21] * Proverb ignores Missile_Rush, taking aim at the door and getting behind cover. "Defensive positions, I don't think there's going to be any talking through this."
[20:21] * Missile_Rush shakes his head. "We have to try," he mouths to them, back still turned to them.
[20:21] <Missile_Rush> *mouths to her
[20:22] * Proverb nods to Missile_Rush. "Then try it Missile."
[20:22] * Razor_ turns toward the sounds, quickly preparing herself for combat. This one is serious. She's going all out this time. All her spells, and even preparing to take her combat drugs. "You'd better make it quick." is all she says to Missile_Rush.
[20:23] * Green_Field gets himself and Daisy behind something for cover.
[20:23] * Missile_Rush stands with his back to the rangers behind him, clad in duster and hat.
[20:23] * Razor_ finds a spot off to the side to wait.
[20:23] <TenMihara> The metal on metal clacking stops and the door flies open. However, instead of Steel Rangers coming out, two grenades are fired at the party from behind the door at alarming speed, the ranger that fired sidestepping the now open door to gain cover
[20:24] <Proverb> "MISSILE WATCH OUT!"
[20:26] <TenMihara> Missile is subject to two direct hits, and the exploding shrapnel catches most of the other ponies to some degree
[20:26] * Missile_Rush yells out loud at that. Alright, this wasn't going to work!
[20:27] <Proverb> "Plan B! Open fire!"
[20:30] <TenMihara> Before any of the rest of the party gets a chance to, Six rounds of high explosive shoot past the party and tear into the rocky outcropping and metal wall and doorframe there in.
[20:30] <TenMihara> The wall is completely shredded, and so are the Steel Rangers
[20:31] * Proverb ducks, clutching her rifle. "WHAT THE FUCK!?"
[20:34] * Proverb slowly picks herself up, quickly assessing the situation through her rifle. "Look sharp! Watch you 6!"
[20:34] * Purple_Kay starts moving down the ridge as he watches the effect of the fall of shot. He smiles.
[20:39] * Purple_Kay lopes down the hill, a slight mechanical whir with each smooth motion of his dark grey power armor. Intricate designs in the vein of those on Razor's Edge adorn it. His signature cowpony hat rests on his head, a green-tinted eyepiece over his right eye.
[20:40] * Proverb lowers her rifle slowly. "Kay... Kay!" She leaps up into the air, flying towards Purple_Kay. "Kay!"
[20:43] * Harmony blinks, eyes widening. "Mister... Kay?" She asks herself, not quite believing it herself. Her face darkens slightly, going back to the guilt she feels over the circumstances surrounding Kay's injury. She will... need to apologize. Yes, she thinks to herself. Apology would be best.
[20:44] * Green_Field 's ears perk. Kay? He moves his head around what he was hiding behind to look.
[20:45] * Razor_ turns very suddenly when she hears Proverb start shouting. When she sees for herself, she's very stunned, and sort of... staring. She isn't even sure she believes what she's seeing.
[20:45] * Purple_Kay looks up at Proverb giving a nod. "Hey, Wishy." he takes several more long strides before hollaring over to the lump of them. "Hey! Kid! I've been looking for you!"
[20:47] * Proverb mrees, lighting down on Purple_Kay's back and hugging him around his neck. "You're alive!"
[20:49] * Purple_Kay chuckles up to Proverb as he continues his sizeable hike to the others. "Course I am. I made promises."
[20:50] * Green_Field slowly gets up and comes out. He chuckles quietly at Purple_Kay. "Freak of Nature. You're one stubborn bastard. You just couldn't give in to death, could you?"
[20:50] * Proverb  giggles happily, nodding. "That was awesome the way you blew those Rangers away!" She says, sitting up between Purple_Kay's shoulderblades.
[20:51] * Razor_ keeps staring. It takes a while for her to even think about speaking. "You..." Her voice is surprisingly quiet. "...How?"
[20:52] * Purple_Kay 's new powerarmor and massive saddle give more room but less comfort. "I made you a promise, Kid. I'm not going to let a few bullets make me break it."
[20:55] * Proverb doesn't seem to mind, though she does take back off and lands next to Purple_Kay, troting beside him.[21:00] * Purple_Kay makes it to the group proper. He raises a hoof... but his own pair of 'tramplers' makes it put them down. He looks at Razor_, noting the scars. "Oh... Kid... your cheek."
[21:01] <Green_Field> "I fixed her as best I could."
[21:03] * Razor_ is helped a bit by the comment. It gives her something to actually /say/. And not think about... things. Bad things. Terribly bad things. She takes the plasma talons that did the damage out of her bag and shows them to him. "...These."
[21:04] * Missile_Rush turns his head and watches Purple_Kay and the others silently. His expression is unfathomable, but this...he knows he shouldn't interfere. He didn't have any part in this.
[21:06] * Purple_Kay looks down at the griffon weapon. He lowers his head. "I'm sorry, Kid." He raises a hoof to rest on her shoulder. He really notices the armor. He smiles a bit. "It seems like days ago we were making that weapon run... but I see you've been busy."
[21:12] * Razor_ flinches slightly at the hoof... but doesn't try to move away. She hesitates for a moment, before saying, "...44. That's my number." After another moment, she adds, "I couldn't have done it without you..."
[21:13] * Purple_Kay smiles. "I'm proud of you,Kid." He leans in and touches the only exposed part of himself to her scarred cheek, his own. He gives her an affectionate nuzzle. "Sorry I wasn't there."
[21:22] * Razor_ returns the nuzzle. "...You couldn't help it. We got them though. All of them."
[21:25] * Purple_Kay lets his foreleg wrap around to bring her into a proper hug. "You did good, Kid."
[21:27] * Missile_Rush watches this scene, as a smile graces his muzzle. That...was a good thing to see. It really was.
[21:32] * Proverb glances over at Harmony, slinging her rifle across her back.
[21:33] * Razor_ gives a smile. That's something that... she really needed to hear. Those four words mean a lot to her.
[21:36] * Purple_Kay releases the hug, but leaves his hoof on her shoulder for now, mindful of the identical, if larger, tramplers on his forelegs. He looks at the others. "So... sightseeing?"
[21:38] * Proverb looks over to Purple_Kay. "No, we're on a mission actually."
[21:41] * Purple_Kay "Yeah? What trouble are you in now?" A small smirk turns the corner on his heavily scarred muzzle.
[21:41] * Proverb giggles softly. "Well, actually, Missile_Rush has the details. It's his mission."
[22:05] * Logic blinks. Holy shit. Purple Kay is alive. "Um. Hi, Kay." He... Felt sort of empty inside after seeing him... Alive. Not to say he wasn't more happy than he was feeling empty, but he just felt that sort of emptiness as if he was at the end of a long trip and looking back.
[22:10] * Harmony stands to the side, having difficulties in addressing Purple_Kay... still blaming herself.
[22:13] * Proverb looks over at Harmony, sighing softly. "Hey Harmy?"
[22:14] * Purple_Kay looks over to Logic. "You're looking fit, G. Good to see you've kept these mares in line." He gives a crooked smile.
[22:14] * Logic shut his mouth tight and gave a sharp nod.
[22:15] <Proverb> Harmy > Harmony*
[22:15] * Harmony looks to Proverb with a sigh. "Yes?"
[22:15] <Harmony> sad sigh*
[22:16] * Proverb looks from Harmony to Purple_Kay and back. "Are you still blaming yourself for what happened?" She asks.
[22:17] <Harmony> "Because it was my fault. I rightfully hold the blame," she replies.
[22:19] * Proverb shakes her head at Harmony. "It wasn't your fault Harmony..." She looks over at Purple_Kay. "Aren't you glad to see that he's alive?"
[22:19] * Razor_ has a sudden realization. She pulls back suddenly. "There's somepony you have to meet. Kay... I found her. You have to come meet her!"
[22:20] * Harmony frowns and shakes her head. "It was my fault. If I had not been involved, he would not have been hurt. You cannot deny that."
[22:20] * Purple_Kay grins for Logic, returning the nod. It's a whole discourse between the stallions. His weight shifts at Razor_'s sudden movement. He looks at her. "Met who?"
[22:23] * Proverb sighs softly. "I... Harmony, I just don't want to see you like... this. I like seeing you smile." She says.
[22:24] * Razor_ has a very serious look to her! She simply says, "I found my mom."
[22:24] * Harmony sighs and sits back on her haunches. "I cannot wish my guilt away."
[22:25] * Purple_Kay 's eyes warm up tremendously. "You did?" His smile is almost too big for his face. He's lost for words.
[22:27] * Proverb nods to Harmony. "I know Harmony, I know. But still..." She lifts a wing. "Do you... want a hug?"
[22:27] * Razor_ nods. She almost immediately looks to Logic. "As soon as we can... we're going to the Stadium. No questions. Got it?" This is important to her. The most important thing right now. Screw the Rangers! Hell, screw what they came here for! If she could, she'd leave right now for them to meet.
[22:28] * Harmony sighs, looking away. "I am sorry... I would rather not."
[22:28] * Proverb nods to Harmony, folding her wing back. "Alright, I'll uhh, be up top if you want me okay?"
[22:29] * Harmony nods.
[22:29] * Proverb hops up and leaps into the air, spiraling up to the top of the outcropping above the rest of the group and sitting down with a sigh.
[22:33] * Logic hesitantly nods to Razor, looking off to the side. If it were just her by herself, he'd just blow her off and tell her to walk. But Kay's with her now.
[22:33] * Logic "You tell him about the Griffons yet?" He mutters.
[22:34] * Purple_Kay gives Razor_ another quick hug. "You really /have/ done a lot while I was napping." He chuckles at the absurdity of it all. Not even a week in his mind had passed, and yet they've done so much.
[22:35] * Logic rubs his shoulder. His cutie mark felt branded on now. He sort of hoped that he wouldn't ask about it.
[22:38] * Razor_ nods at Purple_Kay. "You'd be surprised how much can happen..."
[22:39] * Purple_Kay "I'm sure I'll find out." He shakes his head and walks toward Proverb and Harmony. "Beau. Glad to see you're alright."
