Chapter 2
A dawn of a new day shines upon the town of Salem, and the group seemed rattled about today, there was something off with the town.
"It's awfully quiet." Syamil noticed "Usually we'd hear the bar having a brawl."
"Maybe she decided to close today?" Gerry continued.
"No, she'd inform us if she'd close." Nathan shrugged and looked warily at Stephen.
"Let's take a gander then." Stephen lead the group towards the bar where the lights were off, and the door was wide open.
It was a mess. The bar was ransacked, blood everywhere as it mixed with the alcohol and wine,, kegs dripping, windows shattered and glass broken all over the floor. RedQueen was nowhere to be found, while bodies of other people decorated the floor.
"Did she..." Bunchana wondered "Kill all of these people?"
"Couldn't be her, she'd never kill unjust" Chris corrected, "She may have not been around here though."
"Stephen try calling her" Kixa suggested as he looked around and searched the bar for any survivors to question.
They heard a small vibrating sound on the bar's counter and saw RedQueen's phone, ringing.
"She left it?" Dennis checked her phone for any messages
"What's going on here?" a voice behind them questioned.
"Riven..." Gabo stared, as he scanned Riven's clothing and noticed a red blotch on his collar and sleeve. "What happened to you?"
"Oh this is just paint. I was painting then I wanted more reds, to create a beautiful rose..." Riven was cut off.
"Okay nevermind." Gabo sighed
"We need to find her." Alex suggested as he held Bubibu's hand and went off.
"Nathan stay here with Stephen, she might come back." Syamil nodded to Gerry and walked off as well.
"You all seem too worried..." Riven smiled
"She's the only one who calms the storm for us." Bunchana smiled and went upstairs of the bar to check and investigate more, with Gabo.
“Nathan, had she said anything to you?” Stephen asked
“None, she only said about it always being too rowdy and soon everything will just…. Fall” Nathan explained
“Then we’re at a dead end.” Gabo said as he walked down the stairs along Bunchana
“Riven, why not go and have fun, we can handle this” Bunchana smiled and treaded along the bloody floor.
“I can help if you want” Riven suggested “I’m good with lurking around and finding stuff out.” He smiled
“As you wish” Gabo nodded and left with Bunchana, Stephen and Nathan “If you need us, you know where to go.”
Riven nodded lightly and looked away back to the bar with the bloody floor, and searched around on the floor, moving the bloody bodies away that covered the cellar door.
“There you are.” He smiled, “What they don’t know won’t get them hurt, so my dear…” he smiled cupping the face of the bound woman, gagged and blindfolded.
“Can’t speak? Here let me help.” Riven smiled “Ms. RedQueen.”
“You won’t get away with this, they will find you out.” She winced as her binds get tighter
“You don’t know who I am.” He taunted
“I don’t need to see, to know who you are…” she mocked “Once I escape, I’ll kill you.”
“If you can” He smiles and walks away leaving her helpless and stranded underground “I’ll come back soon”
“I’ll kill you.” RedQueen sneered, “I’ll kill you.”
Riven propped himself up and about covering the door once more and leaving the scene, and met up with the group
“Found anything?” Chris asked
“Alex, and I didn’t find any clues to what happened, people here in Salem drink too much to remember shit.” Bubibu sighed
“Riven, so how was investigating?” Nathan asked
“Found nothing so far, didn’t want to risk my handprints on the scene” Riven answered and sat down
“Well we need a lead” Syamil banged on the table “We can’t let it just pass, she needs us!”
“Calm down, we’ll get to the  bottom of this” Gerry held Syamil’s hand and kissed it lightly
“Night sure arrives fast here…” Riven looked up to the sky and saw the skies darken
“It’s Salem, it never stays morning enough.” Stephen sighed “We’ll have no choice but to commence lynching tomorrow.”
“There must be a better way to find her without killing off random people” Dennis cleared
“What do you propose, my dear?” Justin smiled
“Not lynching but asking around what RedQueen has been doing before this happened” Dennis answered, unsure whether it would work
“Could work” Kixa wondered as the night enveloped the town of Salem, and thus the danger commence once more
“Shit” Chris swore under his breath, “We can’t go back, it’s too dark.”
“Stay together” Alex whispered “It’ll be fine, we’ll stay together and congo-line going home.”
The group hears the howls and moans of the terror that fills the night, Salem was never a safe refuge but it was the one they chose to protect.
“Careful, Satyr Tormenter’s to our left…” Kixa hushed “We don’t have our weapons”
“I have my laptop” Alex smiled
“Don’t, you just got that fixed!” Bubibu giggled lightly as the group walk treaded quietly towards their homes until the night ends, and successfully went through the terrors of the night and safe in their place.
“No!” a man shouted, the scream was heard throughout the whole silent town of Salem, as the man was devoured by a creature of the night and turns into one of the shadows.
Riven smiles peering through the inside of the bar, and walks back down the cellar, where RedQueen, was still bound and blindfolded
“Who is there?” she questioned with the croak of fear in her voice
“Take a wild guess?” Riven taunted “Same voice, but you cannot see me”
She says nothing, but bows her head, tired from the struggle to free herself she gives in, and slowly drifts into a fetal position, she soon gets propped up by Riven and was forced to drink a dark shadowy liquid…
“No!” RedQueen turned her head violently, back and forth avoiding the cool container
“You will obey” Riven says drinking the liquid for himself, and kissed her transferring the liquid by force, the liquid turned her hair from red to brown and her eye full of joy turned into fear.
