- If you're looking for a robust gameplay experience, this isn't it. But it does function as a really thoughtful interactive experience around the question of "how do we grieve?" I had to step away from stream for a few minutes because I fully broke down. I related very strongly to the main narrative thread because it mirrored losing my grandmother last year so closely. The pacing is controlled heavily by the gameplay and makes it so much more evocative. Would I recommend you play Lost Words? Maybe. Not as a game, but as a story. If you're interested in an introspective exploration into grief, especially through the lens of a child, then you will probably enjoy it overall.
