- Anon Quest: Starring the Anon Brothers.
- Starring Blue Anon.
- >“And Red Anon”
- PROLOGUE: Game night.
- >Another Saturday game night at Twilight’s library.
- Okay guys .Got the chips, got the dip-
- >I slam the board game to the ground.
- -and I got the game.
- >Fluttershy: “’Savior’s Tale?’”
- >Twilight: “Never heard of it.”
- >“This game is too complicated, can’t we do Snakes and Elevators or something?”
- Shut up Red, no one cares what you think. Everypony listen up. Savior’s Tale is a situational class-based game full of quest and random events. I will be you’re game master, antagonist player, and narrator. You pon1es need to choose a class, pick status upgrades and/or abilities, and organize what to do.
- >I pull out my dice.
- These are eight sided dice, the lowest you can role is 11, and the highest is 88. Differences between roles determine damage received, or the chance of blocking. Improve your role number with upgrades in order to-
- >Dash: “Blah blah blah. Can we get to the game or what?”
- …Fine.
- >I set up the placement sheet, and cards.
- Everypony choose a class.
- >It takes several minutes as they go through their options.
- >AJ: “Hmm. “'Hunter’: Fast, agile, and dangerous. Can attack twice per cycle.” Hmm.”
- Dash snatches the class card.
- >RD: “Dibs!”
- >AJ: “HEY!”
- >RD: “I’m all about speed! Pick something else.”
- >Fluttershy: “Oh, I don’t know what to choose, there are so many classes.”
- >Red Anon: “How about ‘assassin’?
- >F: “Assassin! I-I don’t want to hurt anypony!”
- >RA: “‘Alchemist?’”
- >F: “No.
- >RA: “…Illusionist?”
- >F: “No.”
- >RA: “…How about ‘practitioner’.”
- >F: “Umm…okay.”
- >Rarity: “The dress on the ‘domineer’ is simply divine. I’ll choose her.”
- >Red Anon: “Ya sure about that.”
- >R: “I’m not one to change my opinions.”
- RA: “…Okay then, if you say so.”
- >It takes a while, but eventually everything is set up.
- Okay. So; Twilight, Wizard. Big shock there. Fluttershy, Practitioner. Pinkie…Engineer?
- >Pinkie: "Do I get to be all greasy and mechanical?"
- ...Sure.
- >PP: “I’m okay with that.”
- Red, Soldier. Rarity, Domineer. Dash, hunter, and Apple Jack, Combatant.
- >Red Anon: “You’re not playing Spike.”
- >Spike: “Nah, I’ll just advise Twilight’s character.”

- Remember you’re upgrades, powers, and items, and try to work together. Let’s begin.
- EPIGRAPH
- I want everyone to imagine this. Red, you get leadership role since you’ve played this before.
- >Red Anon: “Sweet.”
- *Ahem* It’s been a lengthy trip from Canterlot into the deep Everfree forest. But it will be worth it. Anon and his party are traveling to find the rare ‘Black Jasmine Lotus’: The only thing that will cure Celestia’s illness.
- >Twi: “Celestia’s sick?”
- Yes, she was poisioned by an assassin. She’ll die if you don’t get the flower.
- >Collective gasp.
- [From the perspective of Red Anon’s character]
- >We’ve been traveling for days, but Fluttershy’s heard of these lilies and can surely create a cure. Thank goodness we have Pinkies steam powered wagon, it would’ve taken even longer if it weren’t for her. Those bubbles it produces do occasionally draw enemies though.
- >AJ: "Guys, I think I see the flowers."
- >There’s a massive field of flowers, more than enough for Fluttershy to make a cure with.
- >We exit the wagon.
- Stay alert guys, there’s a reason nopony has these lilies.
- >RD: “Don’t worry, I can take anything this forest throws at us.”
- >Suddenly, from the trees of the distance, a large, black scaly leg comes out, cratering the ground only a few feet away.
- >As we exit the wagon, we see a large, black beast with a tongue as sharp as a blade and long wild blue fur appears. It is The Beast of the Forest: “Kirajima”.
- [HP, 800. ATTACK, +10. DEFENSE, +10. ABILITY, +3]
- (Blue Anon: I attack every four turns by the way.)
- >RD: "Bring it."
- (Rainbow Dash uses her wing to roll the dice against Big Bro.
- RD: 59!
- Blue Anon: 62.
- RD: The dice says 52!
- Blue: I upgraded my strength and defense plus 10. Hunters don’t get that though, to curb the fact that they can attack twice. Your attack is deflected.)
- >Kirajima knocks Dash away like an irritating fly.
- >Twilight shoots Kirajima with a mystic blast, successfully damaging it with a surprisingly high role.
- >Spike: "Great job Twilight!”
- TS: “Stay in the wagon Spike!”
- >Apple Jack jumps ten feet in the air to buck it with her upgraded legs.
- >I run up its giant leg, and gash it’s face with my sword.
- >Kirajima screeches angrily slams me into the ground with it’s ridiculous tongue.
- >F: "Anon!"
- Don’t waste your spell. I’m fine. Defend and wait.
- >Fluttershy backs away to the back lines for a defense advantage.
- (Red Anon: “You’re move Rarity.”
- R: “I’m not a fighter though.”
- RA: "Then use the 'shadow minions' spell."
- R: “Okay then. [To Blue Anon] I’ll do what Red Anon just said.”)
- >From the shadows of the Earth Rarity uses the dark arts to summon three colt minions.
- >Rarity looks at her minions, then back to me.
- >R: “Do they have to be from dark magic?”
- (BA: “What?”
- Rarity: “I had no idea this ‘Domineer’ class was a dark magic user.”
- Big Bro face-palms.
- BA: “It’s on the card, and in the description!”
- R: “I hadn’t noticed.”
- He face palms harder.
- F: “What if the minions are made from gems?”
- R: “I’d like that.”
- BA: “*sigh* Fine.)
- >Rarity uses her magic to summon three beautiful mare minions. A blue mare from a sapphire, a red mare from a ruby, and a green mare from emerald.
- >R: "Ladies, do your best."
- >The minions try to attack, but it’s not very successful.
- [Minions are curbed at a sixty attack max, thirty defense max, and only one health point each. The fact you get three is supposed to make up for their crippling handicaps.]
- >Ruby pony is successful, Emerald pony barely damages, and after Kirajima successfully uses "Poison" on Twilight, the Sapphire pony attacks, failing to produce damage.
- >As this happens, Twilight begins to feel the effects of the poison as her health slowly deteriorates.
- >She will loose 10 health, for the next seven turns.
- >As Dash performs a successful hook to the beast, Pinkie's turret begins to beep, it's red light begins to flash, it doubles in height from a two foot cylinder, to a full four feet, and it shoots a firework exploding festively on his face. Twilight tries to blast the beast with her magic, but Kirajima somehow ducks it despite being a ten foot tall beast. Kirajima kicks Apple Jack with his leg sending her souring throw the air.
- >I used my ability ‘Hero’s Strength' and boost my attack by 20. My blade glows a holy white as I drive it deep into the beast’s skull. Massive damage achieved.
- >New Phase.
- >Pinkie fires another shot from her turret, and Dash rushes back for a barely damaging hook that grazes against the beast. Emerald mare successfully strikes. Kirajima stomps Rainbow Dash, damaging her greatly.
- Heal Dash!
- >F: “Okay.”
- >Fluttershy uses one of her three available spells, “Recovery” to heal Dash’s health by 50.
- >Twilight's poison finally wears off reducing her health to 115.
- >Rarity defends, and Apple Jack bucks only to get blocked.
- >Pinkie: "Time for the heavy stuff. Good thing I invested in an item."
- >Pinkie runs to the wagon losing her turn.
- >Suddenly, a black mist like substance secretes from Kirajima’s mouth.
- (BA: Devil’s Mist; 70 damage to everyone. Defend.)
- >The entire location is engulfed in mist. With a maximum health of 1, all three of the minions crumble away and are destroyed.
- >Twilight is horribly damaged only rolling a 23 defense. This is only further amplified by the poison based damage she receives as well.
- >Rarity takes the attack just as hard, but luckily she defended in her last phase.
- >Pinkie crawls into the wagon as she slowly chokes on the mist.
- >Fluttershy is harmed, but luckily it's not very serious.
- >Dash defense is high enough for immunity, I gain immunity, and Apple Jack takes it hardest with only a 17 defense.
- >AJ: “Dag-nabbit *cough cough*”
- FLUTTERSHY!
- >Fluttershy uses her second available spell, “Grand Alleviation”, healing the party by 30. Dash flies in with an especially strong hook. Rarity uses her second ability, “Maximum Summoning” and summons a Sparkling, snow white Diamond mare to the field.
- [A max summon is basically the same as a normal three minion summon, but they are capped at 40 HP rather than just 1.]
- >Diamond Mare successfully strikes Kirajima.
- >Dash connects a second hook to the monster.
- [BA: I'm using "Shock-wave" on Twilight; Plus twenty attack, and half of the damage she receives will also be received by you guys. Rolling.
- Blue Anon gets a seventy-four double upgraded to One hundred and four.
- Twilight gets a thirty-two.]
- >Kirajima's upper left leg rises, and suddenly Twilight is crushed under it's weight. The ground craters under it's foot, and a it's massive quake knocks away all of us. AJ and Rarity are hanging pretty hard for life, but Twilight isn't as lucky.
- >Kirajima's leg rises and, Twilight is left lifeless in the crater.
- >Spike: Twilight!
- >Fluttershy rushes over and picks up Twilight in her hind legs. Tears are running down her face.
- >F: “T-T-TWIIILI-I-GHT. NOOO!!!”
- >Fluttershy begins to sob heavily.
- (F: “Twilight! I’m sooo sorry!”
- TS: “Fluttershy, it’s just a game. I’m literally right here.”
- F: "Oh yeah. I forgot."
- TS: "Just revive me on the next phase.")
- >I rush as fast as I can and swing into the beasts’ legs. Kirajima sweeps it’s other leg sending me flying into the trees. My body goes limp, but I can still see the horrors of what is happening.
- >F: “No. NO!”
- >AJ: “YOU DIRTY SON OF A GUN!”
- (AJ: Roll!
- AJ rolls.
- AJ: "ELEVEN!?!?!?"
- RA: Well, at least it’s upgraded to sixteen.
- Blue Anon rolls.
- BA:EIGHTY ONE! UPGRADED TO NINETY ONE!!!
- Apple Jack explodes into pure butthurt as Big Bro laughs hardily of at her expense, almost chocking on his popcorn in the process.
- Everybody mad.)
- >Apple Jack’s blow does nothing. Kirajima sustains no damage, and begins to laugh trollishly towards the sky. Dash goes in for her second attack, doing decent damage.
- >With a new phase beginning, Fluttershy takes the starting move to “revive” Twilight to 60 health, with her last spell, and immediately she uses "Defense down", lowering his defense by 10 for the next two phases.
- (Big Bro rolls a 74 upgraded to 84. Twilight rolls a 22.
- Twi: "You gotta be kidding me!")
- Kirajima successfully crushes Twilight for a second time
- >Pinkie pops out of the wagon with a massive mobile cannon launcher.
- >Pinkie: Get a taste of this.
- >Pinkie fires a blast from her not-party cannon into Kirajima. She may have lost a turn, but her cannon gave her a plus 50 attack for this turn. This plus her forty three attack, factored with the weakened Kirajima’ now twenty nine defense roll, causes a massive 74 points of damage. Kirajima stumbles weakly as Rarity's Diamond minion uppercuts the beast. Rarity immediately follows it, striking Kirajima with her whip instead of defending.
- >R: “You filthy beast!”
- >Kirajima wails in pain as his face is lacerated. With a massive sum of health lost, Dash flies in for the final blow.
- (Dash: Sixty!
- Blue Anon: Thirty four…darn it.)
- >Dash lands a wicked hook and Kirajima collapses to the ground.
- [BACK TO REALITY]
- Big Bro places his dice to the table and his head lowers.
- >Rarity: “Wahaha!”
- Fluttershy: We won.
- >Red, Spike and the ponies rave joyfully. High hoofing and hugging each other.
- Good job guys.
- >RD: I hate those dice.
- We all do.
