  1. >Down a small path that leads out of Ponyville
  2. >A desolate path, traveled less than even the path to Zecora's hut
  3. >Lies a log cabin in the woods
  4. >If you get close to it, you can often hear hammering and banging
  5. >That's the sound of the forge
  6.
  7. >Anon arrived in Equestria a few months ago
  8. >He lives in his cabin, mostly by himself
  9. >He crafts amazing works of metal, many ponies desire to by his goods
  10. >No matter how skilled you are with magic or your hooves, you just can't beat fingers
  11. >But few actually visit him or talk to him
  12. >Because he is a carnivore
  13. >He is a savage
  14.
  15. >Once, Fluttershy went to his cabin just to be friendly
  16. >As she walked up, she saw his tanning rack
  17. >It took her a week to recover
  18.
  19. >Anon the Savage mostly kept to himself, he rarely left and went to town
  20. >He always had a stern expression on his face
  21. >Occasionally, Celestia or Luna would ask for his help with some secret mission
  22. >He was always paid with metal or gold
  23. >Nobody knew how rich he was, or what he really did in his spare time
  24. >He was just that mysterious
  25.
  26. >One day in Ponyville, a strange thing happened
  27. >Pinkie wasn't acting quite the same
  28. >She wasn't as bouncy
  29. >People noticed and talked
  30. >Eventually, Twilight decided to confront her
  31.
  32. >The door opens a crack
  33. >Rainbow Dash looks up
  34. >The first things she sees are the multitude of chains hanging from the door to the wall
  35. >Locks and deadbolts were a rare thing in Equestrian, Anon seemed to love them
  36. >Then, she saw the humans gruff face
  37. >After Anon looked over Rainbow Dash for a second, he closed the door and she could hear him unlock all of the deadbolts and suck
  38. >Soon the door swung freely
  39. "Hello, Rainbow Dash. What is it?" He said in that gruff voice
  40. >She gulps, Anon was a little taller then Celestia so to a regular pony he was massive
  41. >He was intimidating to say the least
  42. "Uhh- I- Oh!" She said, suddenly remembering
  43. "Anon! Changelings have attacked Ponyville! They are hurting my friends!"
  44. >Anon's expression hardens
  45. "I'll be out in a minute
  46. >Rainbow Dash stands on his porch for a little bit, tapping her foot and alternating between staring at the path to Ponyville and staring at the door
  47. >Inside she hears the sound of light scuffling
  48. >Soon, the door opened again
  49. >Anon stepped out
  50. >She gasped at what she saw
  51. >Anon was dressed in thicker, leather clothing
  52. >The thought of that almost made Rainbow Dash vomit, but she knew why he had that
  53. >He also had a large sheild on his side, made of wood and metal, with a large black "A" stylized on the front
  54. >The shield also had spikes on it
  55. >But the scariest thing was the sharp battle-axe he held in one hand
  56. >Rainbow Dash doubted she could even lift it
  57. >Not that she would admit that, though.
  58.
  59. >Anon took a thundering step outside the door
  60. >He turns and closes it
  61. >Locking the door from the outside this time
  62. >He then turned and nodded to Rainbow Dash
  63. >She nodded back and spread her wings to fly and took off
  64. >She flew quickly, but not too fast
  65. >She kept around the same pace as Anon who was running
  66. >He was running very fast though
  67.
  68. >Soon, they crested the last trees and Ponyville was in sight
  69. >Anon, with his axe slung over his shoulder, picked up his pace even more
  70. >Not too long now, my little ponies
  71.
  72. >Meanwhile in the Town Hall
  73. >A strong Changeling, wearing dark purple armor stood on a table, shouting and giving commands
  74. >He was the leader of this party
  75. >Mayor Mare was closest, trying to talk to him
  76. >He waved his bug-hoof, and another Changeling silenced the mayor
  77. >The ponies cried and screamed at the events happening
  78. >Just then, Rarity pointed to the window
  79. "Look everyone! It's Anon!"
  80. >The changelings mobilized
  81.
  82. >Town hall happened and a flood of black came out
  83. >About two dozen changeling warriors came out, ready to fight
  84. >The commander stayed inside, and a few others did to control the prisoners
  85. >Rainbow Dash looked down and whispered "uh oh" under her breath
  86. >She didn't like Anon's odds hear
  87.
  88. >Anon stopped running as he saw the horde before him and slowed to a strut
  89. >He soon stopped around 20 feet from the nearest changeling
  90. >He raised his axe and pointed it at him
  91. "Leave. Now."
  92. >The changeling hissed in response
  93. >So be it
  94.
  95. >He raised his axe and hopped forward, his shield arm leading
  96. >The changeling jumped forward to attack
  97. >He struck out his shield arm and smacked the Changeling in the chin with it
  98. >His axe was brought done
  99. >The changeling's back split open with the blow
  100. >The other changelings gasped in horror at what beast they were up against
  101. >The ponies inside gasped too
  102.
  103. >Two more changelings ran up, eager to avenge their brother in arms
  104. >They bared their fangs
  105. >Anon planted his feet in the ground and raised his axe back
  106. >Once they got within range he brought his axe down for a side swipe, catching one in the side
  107. >It cried out as blood and guts rained on the ground
  108. >The other changeling stuck out its hooves to stop itself, it wanted to back away
  109. >He was too slow
  110. >Anon came down with an overhead cleave
  111. >The Changeling's skull was torn asunder
  112.
  113. >The ponies in Town Hall looked out the windows with great concern
  114. >They didn't know that Anon did... this
  115. >Applejack covered Applebloom's eyes
  116. >Rarity covered Sweetie Belle's eyes
  117. >Scootaloo had her face pressed against the glass
  118. >Twilight pulled her back, and covered her eyes too
  119. "Ohh come on! Let me look!"
  120. >the adults watched in horror
  121.
  122. >Anon already had blood on him
  123. >He stepped towards the next Changeling, who jumped to the right and then lunged
  124. >Anon grabbed the handle of his axe near the head, and butted the Changeling with the handle of his axe
  125. >It was knocked back and fell on its back
  126. >It raised its hooves in the air in vain as the Axe smashed into its chest, killing it instantly
  127. >Anon barely had time to raise his shield as another changeling tried to tackle him
  128. >He shield-bashed the Changeling, and it cried out in pain as it was struck in the eye by Anon's shield spike
  129. >Blood squirted from the wound
  130. >He was felled quickly by an axe blow to the side of the head
  131. >Several of the changelings charged at once, wanting to gang up on Anon
  132. >He was ready for them
  133.
  134. >He drug his foot across the ground, kicking up a few rocks in the face of the nearest changeling
  135. >Axe was embedded into the back of its neck
  136. >Then he fell them to the left and right with continuous swings
  137. >left, right, left, right, left, left, right, right, left, right
  138. >The changelings bit him and struck him, but he took little injury as his armor was tough and thick
  139. >finally, he fell one more changeling and the others fled
  140. >The only one that remained was the armored changeling
  141. >He stepped forward, hissing at the fearsome warrior before him
  142.
  143. >The armored changeling began a kind of death walk with Anon
  144. >They both kept the same distance, but walked in a circle from each other
  145. >Anon could tell this changeling was an honorable warrior, he wasn't a wild opportunist like those other changelings
  146. >Finally, Anon's back was to the Town Hall, they had done a 180
  147. >Anon took a step forward
  148. >The Changeling hopped back, and spread its wings to do a flying leap
  149. >Anon, in his head, admired the maneuver, it was too high and fast for him to counter with his axe
  150. >He instead ducked forward and rolled, avoiding the blow right behind him
  151. >He jumped up and spun around just in time to raise his shield to a flurry of blows
  152. >The insect hooves were actually very sharp, they seemed to shave off a few little bits of wood from the shield
  153. >Anon cursed, he'd have to replace those boards if they were too damaged
  154. >He didn't feel like fucking with shield anytime soon
  155. >With a shove, he pushed back the changeling and there was a standoff
  156. >Suddenly, there was a strange purple light
  157. >Twilight had stepped out of the Town Hall
  158.
  159. >Suddenly, the changeling was lifted into the air by Twilight's magic
  160. >It was then slammed to the ground pinned
  161. "Get him Anon!" She screamed from the town hall's porch
  162. >Anon stepped forward, his axe lowered
  163. >He stood over the changeling, who seemed devoid of any type of emotion
  164. >he then reached his hand down
  165. >Twilight's magic was shut off from sheer amazement as the Changeling took Anon's hand gingerly and pulled himself up with it
  166. >Once he was up, the two turned and took a few steps from each other, then turned back and got back into a battle stance
  167. "Why didn't you kill him when you had the chance, Anon!?" Twilight screamed out after him, confused and a little angry that he would put himself in danger again
  168. >Anon looked at her, but kept one eye on the Changeling
  169. "It's the warrior's code Twilight. You wouldn't understand."
  170. >Twilight fell silent
  171. >After a second, the two both cried out and ran towards each other
  172. >Anon wasn't able to swing his axe in time, so he simply let go of it and balled a fist
  173. >He raised his shield and pounded it into the chest of the Changeling
  174. >It's armor took the blow, but the changeling gripped the edge of the shield and was trying to bite Anon over it
  175. >He pressed back with all his strength, keeping the bug off him
  176. >Sweat began to drip from his effort
  177. >Within a few seconds, he had put his legs into it and pushed the bug off, who went flying backwards but righted itself with its wings
  178. >Anon jumped to the side and rolled for his axe
  179. >The bug did a few powerful strides against the ground and then used his wings to leap through the air, his fangs exposed and ready
  180. >Anon gripped the axe and spun around, swinging a terrible blow
  181. >There was a sound of thunder
  182.
  183. >The changeling laid on the ground, gasping for breath
  184. >Its chest armor was deeply dented from the powerful blow
  185. >the clang from the blow died down about a second later
  186. >Anon also heard a few of the ribs crack
  187. >He held his axe in his hand, the blade of which was chipped from the impact with the hard, dark metal
  188. >He strode confidently over to the downed changeling
  189.
  190. >the ponies in the town watched as Anon stepped over to the changeling and put a foot on its chest
  191. >Standing over it in triumph and victory
  192. >The changeling closed its eyes, its time had come
  193. >... but no blow came
  194. >It opened its eyes to see Anon just looking down at him
  195. >Anon pointed a finger at the changeling
  196. "Now, you go tell your people never to attack these ponies again, understand? If you do, I'll kill all of you. Every. Last. One."
  197. >The changeling slowly nodded
  198. >Anon let off his foot
  199. >The changeling stood up and looked at Anon for a moment as if he was going to kill him anyway
  200. >But instead he just stood there, axe in hand in case the changeling tried a surprise move
  201. >The changeling turned tail and fled, spreading his wings and flying off into the wilderness where he had come from
  202. >The ponies in town hall cheered!
  203. >They ran up and surrounded Anon, voices ringing with jubilation
  204.
  205. >Anon thanked them all as best he could, but he wasn't really used to this kind of attention
  206. >Soon, the mayor started to shout
  207. "Give him space! Give him space!"
  208. >The ponies backed off
  209. >The mayor approached him
  210. >She looked over him and was visibly disgusted by the blood and gore on his armor and weapons, but looked to his face with a smile
  211. >She then gave her classic politician grin
  212. "Anon! What a great thing you have done for us today!"
  213. "It was no problem, Mayor Mare." he said, nodding nervously
  214. >He really had no greater desire then to march home and get this armor and blood off him, but the mayor was busy playing it up
  215. "Anon the Human, will you take my formal request for a reward tomorrow at town hall?"
  216. >Anon frowned but spoke quickly
  217. "Oh, mayor, you don't have to-"
  218. "Please, I insist."
  219. >Anon didn't really want to, but he also didn't want to piss off all the ponies he had just saved
  220. >instead, he nodded nervously
  221. "Excellent! Tomorrow at noon Anon, we will award you for your efforts!"
  222. >The ponies of the town cheered
  223. >Rainbow Dash swooped down
  224. >She had been looking around town for any displaced ponies while the changelings were busy fighting
  225. "Hey Anon, I found Pinkie Pie looked up in Sugarcube corner's basement. I also found the others who had been locked away by the changelings so they could impersonate them."
  226. >Anon nodded and thanked her
  227. >Finally, he turned and walked back into the forest from whence he came
  228. "Alright everypony!" Pinkie Pie said, the marks of the ropes that bound her still visible on her muzzle and hooves
  229. "Let's give three cheers to Anon!" she cried, and rose her hoof
  230.
  231. "HIP HIP, HURRAY!"
  232. >Anon went deeper into the forest
  233. "HIP HIP, HURRAY!"
  234. >He was barely visible now
  235. "HIP HIP, HURRAY!"
  236. >he was gone the time the final shout was made
  237. >The ponies were a little confused by his lack of celebration, but were just happy to be alive and back on track
  238. >soon, the ugly work of cleaning up began as Anon reached home
  239.
  240. >Anon walked up to the cottage
  241. >He stopped before taking the steps up to it though
  242. >instead, he turned left and walked down to a small pond he had dug for his own use
  243. >It was nearby a small cluster of trees, which sheltered his forge and outdoor workshop
  244. >He got up to the pond and washed the blood and sweat from his armor and clothing, and soon got in himself
  245. >He was nude, and he admired his own reflection in the water
  246. >He stepped into the water and sat on a small rock, watching the little fish swim around his feet, tickling him occasionally
  247. >he laid back and relaxed his tired muscles for a little while
  248. >He stepped out of the water and dried himself off, before walking back to his cabin with his armor under his arms
  249. >He walked up the steps and wiped his feet at the door, before unlocking and entering within
  250.
  251. >Once inside, he looked over the small cabin he called home
  252.
  253. >The cabin was actually very spacious
  254. >Too the side near the door, a red rug covered a large area
  255. >There were several racks of weapons and shields and armor on this wall or near it
  256. >He placed the cleaned armor on the floor next to the mannequin, he didn't feel like fitting it on there right now
  257. >It was actually quite the bitch getting these human mannequins
  258. >He looked over the blade of the axe, and saw its chip
  259. >It would take some serious reforging to fix it
  260. >He placed it on the weapon rack anyway
  261. >But his eyes drifted to a fine longsword
  262. >He drew it and checked its balance
  263. >His finger held it up perfectly
  264. >he put it back and walked over
  265.
  266. >On the other side of the cabin was a depression where a small fire-pit lay
  267. >It was only embers right now
  268. >Near it was his bad
  269. >But before he went to bed, he kicked up one corner of the rug
  270. >He removed the loose floorboard
  271. >Underneath that floorboard was a trap door
  272. >It didn't look tampered with, so he sighed in relief and put the board back and fixed the rug
  273.
  274. >He looked over his bed and the few items around it
  275. >First was a cupboard containing some of his basic clothes
  276. >Second was a small chest, containing random things
  277. >Third was a small bookshelf, containing some books lent from Twilight
  278. >He would be ashamed to admit, but all the books were actually children's books of Equestria
  279. >he picked out one he had been reading from before and sat by the fire
  280.
  281. "And then.. The p0ny said.." he said aloud as he read
  282. >He had only a basic grasp of the p0ny written language
  283. "You shall be wed... and never ever.. be sad a-gain."
  284. "The End."
  285. >He smiled a bit, both at his accomplishment of reading and the cute story
  286. >he put the book back
  287. >he then stretched, and climbed into his bed
  288. >he fell asleep easily, but his dreams were hard as iron
  289.
  290. End.
