- >Down a small path that leads out of Ponyville
- >A desolate path, traveled less than even the path to Zecora's hut
- >Lies a log cabin in the woods
- >If you get close to it, you can often hear hammering and banging
- >That's the sound of the forge
- >Anon arrived in Equestria a few months ago
- >He lives in his cabin, mostly by himself
- >He crafts amazing works of metal, many ponies desire to by his goods
- >No matter how skilled you are with magic or your hooves, you just can't beat fingers
- >But few actually visit him or talk to him
- >Because he is a carnivore
- >He is a savage
- >Once, Fluttershy went to his cabin just to be friendly
- >As she walked up, she saw his tanning rack
- >It took her a week to recover
- >Anon the Savage mostly kept to himself, he rarely left and went to town
- >He always had a stern expression on his face
- >Occasionally, Celestia or Luna would ask for his help with some secret mission
- >He was always paid with metal or gold
- >Nobody knew how rich he was, or what he really did in his spare time
- >He was just that mysterious
- >One day in Ponyville, a strange thing happened
- >Pinkie wasn't acting quite the same
- >She wasn't as bouncy
- >People noticed and talked
- >Eventually, Twilight decided to confront her
- >The door opens a crack
- >Rainbow Dash looks up
- >The first things she sees are the multitude of chains hanging from the door to the wall
- >Locks and deadbolts were a rare thing in Equestrian, Anon seemed to love them
- >Then, she saw the humans gruff face
- >After Anon looked over Rainbow Dash for a second, he closed the door and she could hear him unlock all of the deadbolts and suck
- >Soon the door swung freely
- "Hello, Rainbow Dash. What is it?" He said in that gruff voice
- >She gulps, Anon was a little taller then Celestia so to a regular pony he was massive
- >He was intimidating to say the least
- "Uhh- I- Oh!" She said, suddenly remembering
- "Anon! Changelings have attacked Ponyville! They are hurting my friends!"
- >Anon's expression hardens
- "I'll be out in a minute
- >Rainbow Dash stands on his porch for a little bit, tapping her foot and alternating between staring at the path to Ponyville and staring at the door
- >Inside she hears the sound of light scuffling
- >Soon, the door opened again
- >Anon stepped out
- >She gasped at what she saw
- >Anon was dressed in thicker, leather clothing
- >The thought of that almost made Rainbow Dash vomit, but she knew why he had that
- >He also had a large sheild on his side, made of wood and metal, with a large black "A" stylized on the front
- >The shield also had spikes on it
- >But the scariest thing was the sharp battle-axe he held in one hand
- >Rainbow Dash doubted she could even lift it
- >Not that she would admit that, though.
- >Anon took a thundering step outside the door
- >He turns and closes it
- >Locking the door from the outside this time
- >He then turned and nodded to Rainbow Dash
- >She nodded back and spread her wings to fly and took off
- >She flew quickly, but not too fast
- >She kept around the same pace as Anon who was running
- >He was running very fast though
- >Soon, they crested the last trees and Ponyville was in sight
- >Anon, with his axe slung over his shoulder, picked up his pace even more
- >Not too long now, my little ponies
- >Meanwhile in the Town Hall
- >A strong Changeling, wearing dark purple armor stood on a table, shouting and giving commands
- >He was the leader of this party
- >Mayor Mare was closest, trying to talk to him
- >He waved his bug-hoof, and another Changeling silenced the mayor
- >The ponies cried and screamed at the events happening
- >Just then, Rarity pointed to the window
- "Look everyone! It's Anon!"
- >The changelings mobilized
- >Town hall happened and a flood of black came out
- >About two dozen changeling warriors came out, ready to fight
- >The commander stayed inside, and a few others did to control the prisoners
- >Rainbow Dash looked down and whispered "uh oh" under her breath
- >She didn't like Anon's odds hear
- >Anon stopped running as he saw the horde before him and slowed to a strut
- >He soon stopped around 20 feet from the nearest changeling
- >He raised his axe and pointed it at him
- "Leave. Now."
- >The changeling hissed in response
- >So be it
- >He raised his axe and hopped forward, his shield arm leading
- >The changeling jumped forward to attack
- >He struck out his shield arm and smacked the Changeling in the chin with it
- >His axe was brought done
- >The changeling's back split open with the blow
- >The other changelings gasped in horror at what beast they were up against
- >The ponies inside gasped too
- >Two more changelings ran up, eager to avenge their brother in arms
- >They bared their fangs
- >Anon planted his feet in the ground and raised his axe back
- >Once they got within range he brought his axe down for a side swipe, catching one in the side
- >It cried out as blood and guts rained on the ground
- >The other changeling stuck out its hooves to stop itself, it wanted to back away
- >He was too slow
- >Anon came down with an overhead cleave
- >The Changeling's skull was torn asunder
- >The ponies in Town Hall looked out the windows with great concern
- >They didn't know that Anon did... this
- >Applejack covered Applebloom's eyes
- >Rarity covered Sweetie Belle's eyes
- >Scootaloo had her face pressed against the glass
- >Twilight pulled her back, and covered her eyes too
- "Ohh come on! Let me look!"
- >the adults watched in horror
- >Anon already had blood on him
- >He stepped towards the next Changeling, who jumped to the right and then lunged
- >Anon grabbed the handle of his axe near the head, and butted the Changeling with the handle of his axe
- >It was knocked back and fell on its back
- >It raised its hooves in the air in vain as the Axe smashed into its chest, killing it instantly
- >Anon barely had time to raise his shield as another changeling tried to tackle him
- >He shield-bashed the Changeling, and it cried out in pain as it was struck in the eye by Anon's shield spike
- >Blood squirted from the wound
- >He was felled quickly by an axe blow to the side of the head
- >Several of the changelings charged at once, wanting to gang up on Anon
- >He was ready for them
- >He drug his foot across the ground, kicking up a few rocks in the face of the nearest changeling
- >Axe was embedded into the back of its neck
- >Then he fell them to the left and right with continuous swings
- >left, right, left, right, left, left, right, right, left, right
- >The changelings bit him and struck him, but he took little injury as his armor was tough and thick
- >finally, he fell one more changeling and the others fled
- >The only one that remained was the armored changeling
- >He stepped forward, hissing at the fearsome warrior before him
- >The armored changeling began a kind of death walk with Anon
- >They both kept the same distance, but walked in a circle from each other
- >Anon could tell this changeling was an honorable warrior, he wasn't a wild opportunist like those other changelings
- >Finally, Anon's back was to the Town Hall, they had done a 180
- >Anon took a step forward
- >The Changeling hopped back, and spread its wings to do a flying leap
- >Anon, in his head, admired the maneuver, it was too high and fast for him to counter with his axe
- >He instead ducked forward and rolled, avoiding the blow right behind him
- >He jumped up and spun around just in time to raise his shield to a flurry of blows
- >The insect hooves were actually very sharp, they seemed to shave off a few little bits of wood from the shield
- >Anon cursed, he'd have to replace those boards if they were too damaged
- >He didn't feel like fucking with shield anytime soon
- >With a shove, he pushed back the changeling and there was a standoff
- >Suddenly, there was a strange purple light
- >Twilight had stepped out of the Town Hall
- >Suddenly, the changeling was lifted into the air by Twilight's magic
- >It was then slammed to the ground pinned
- "Get him Anon!" She screamed from the town hall's porch
- >Anon stepped forward, his axe lowered
- >He stood over the changeling, who seemed devoid of any type of emotion
- >he then reached his hand down
- >Twilight's magic was shut off from sheer amazement as the Changeling took Anon's hand gingerly and pulled himself up with it
- >Once he was up, the two turned and took a few steps from each other, then turned back and got back into a battle stance
- "Why didn't you kill him when you had the chance, Anon!?" Twilight screamed out after him, confused and a little angry that he would put himself in danger again
- >Anon looked at her, but kept one eye on the Changeling
- "It's the warrior's code Twilight. You wouldn't understand."
- >Twilight fell silent
- >After a second, the two both cried out and ran towards each other
- >Anon wasn't able to swing his axe in time, so he simply let go of it and balled a fist
- >He raised his shield and pounded it into the chest of the Changeling
- >It's armor took the blow, but the changeling gripped the edge of the shield and was trying to bite Anon over it
- >He pressed back with all his strength, keeping the bug off him
- >Sweat began to drip from his effort
- >Within a few seconds, he had put his legs into it and pushed the bug off, who went flying backwards but righted itself with its wings
- >Anon jumped to the side and rolled for his axe
- >The bug did a few powerful strides against the ground and then used his wings to leap through the air, his fangs exposed and ready
- >Anon gripped the axe and spun around, swinging a terrible blow
- >There was a sound of thunder
- >The changeling laid on the ground, gasping for breath
- >Its chest armor was deeply dented from the powerful blow
- >the clang from the blow died down about a second later
- >Anon also heard a few of the ribs crack
- >He held his axe in his hand, the blade of which was chipped from the impact with the hard, dark metal
- >He strode confidently over to the downed changeling
- >the ponies in the town watched as Anon stepped over to the changeling and put a foot on its chest
- >Standing over it in triumph and victory
- >The changeling closed its eyes, its time had come
- >... but no blow came
- >It opened its eyes to see Anon just looking down at him
- >Anon pointed a finger at the changeling
- "Now, you go tell your people never to attack these ponies again, understand? If you do, I'll kill all of you. Every. Last. One."
- >The changeling slowly nodded
- >Anon let off his foot
- >The changeling stood up and looked at Anon for a moment as if he was going to kill him anyway
- >But instead he just stood there, axe in hand in case the changeling tried a surprise move
- >The changeling turned tail and fled, spreading his wings and flying off into the wilderness where he had come from
- >The ponies in town hall cheered!
- >They ran up and surrounded Anon, voices ringing with jubilation
- >Anon thanked them all as best he could, but he wasn't really used to this kind of attention
- >Soon, the mayor started to shout
- "Give him space! Give him space!"
- >The ponies backed off
- >The mayor approached him
- >She looked over him and was visibly disgusted by the blood and gore on his armor and weapons, but looked to his face with a smile
- >She then gave her classic politician grin
- "Anon! What a great thing you have done for us today!"
- "It was no problem, Mayor Mare." he said, nodding nervously
- >He really had no greater desire then to march home and get this armor and blood off him, but the mayor was busy playing it up
- "Anon the Human, will you take my formal request for a reward tomorrow at town hall?"
- >Anon frowned but spoke quickly
- "Oh, mayor, you don't have to-"
- "Please, I insist."
- >Anon didn't really want to, but he also didn't want to piss off all the ponies he had just saved
- >instead, he nodded nervously
- "Excellent! Tomorrow at noon Anon, we will award you for your efforts!"
- >The ponies of the town cheered
- >Rainbow Dash swooped down
- >She had been looking around town for any displaced ponies while the changelings were busy fighting
- "Hey Anon, I found Pinkie Pie looked up in Sugarcube corner's basement. I also found the others who had been locked away by the changelings so they could impersonate them."
- >Anon nodded and thanked her
- >Finally, he turned and walked back into the forest from whence he came
- "Alright everypony!" Pinkie Pie said, the marks of the ropes that bound her still visible on her muzzle and hooves
- "Let's give three cheers to Anon!" she cried, and rose her hoof
- "HIP HIP, HURRAY!"
- >Anon went deeper into the forest
- "HIP HIP, HURRAY!"
- >He was barely visible now
- "HIP HIP, HURRAY!"
- >he was gone the time the final shout was made
- >The ponies were a little confused by his lack of celebration, but were just happy to be alive and back on track
- >soon, the ugly work of cleaning up began as Anon reached home
- >Anon walked up to the cottage
- >He stopped before taking the steps up to it though
- >instead, he turned left and walked down to a small pond he had dug for his own use
- >It was nearby a small cluster of trees, which sheltered his forge and outdoor workshop
- >He got up to the pond and washed the blood and sweat from his armor and clothing, and soon got in himself
- >He was nude, and he admired his own reflection in the water
- >He stepped into the water and sat on a small rock, watching the little fish swim around his feet, tickling him occasionally
- >he laid back and relaxed his tired muscles for a little while
- >He stepped out of the water and dried himself off, before walking back to his cabin with his armor under his arms
- >He walked up the steps and wiped his feet at the door, before unlocking and entering within
- >Once inside, he looked over the small cabin he called home
- >The cabin was actually very spacious
- >Too the side near the door, a red rug covered a large area
- >There were several racks of weapons and shields and armor on this wall or near it
- >He placed the cleaned armor on the floor next to the mannequin, he didn't feel like fitting it on there right now
- >It was actually quite the bitch getting these human mannequins
- >He looked over the blade of the axe, and saw its chip
- >It would take some serious reforging to fix it
- >He placed it on the weapon rack anyway
- >But his eyes drifted to a fine longsword
- >He drew it and checked its balance
- >His finger held it up perfectly
- >he put it back and walked over
- >On the other side of the cabin was a depression where a small fire-pit lay
- >It was only embers right now
- >Near it was his bad
- >But before he went to bed, he kicked up one corner of the rug
- >He removed the loose floorboard
- >Underneath that floorboard was a trap door
- >It didn't look tampered with, so he sighed in relief and put the board back and fixed the rug
- >He looked over his bed and the few items around it
- >First was a cupboard containing some of his basic clothes
- >Second was a small chest, containing random things
- >Third was a small bookshelf, containing some books lent from Twilight
- >He would be ashamed to admit, but all the books were actually children's books of Equestria
- >he picked out one he had been reading from before and sat by the fire
- "And then.. The p0ny said.." he said aloud as he read
- >He had only a basic grasp of the p0ny written language
- "You shall be wed... and never ever.. be sad a-gain."
- "The End."
- >He smiled a bit, both at his accomplishment of reading and the cute story
- >he put the book back
- >he then stretched, and climbed into his bed
- >he fell asleep easily, but his dreams were hard as iron
- End.
