[19:49:31] [zoofmeister] Okay!  You guys get on the road and head into the forest.  There's a pretty healthy amount of foot traffic on the route, as well as vehicles coming in and out of Madrona.  You notice a truck with beds of lumber drive by every now and then, for example.  The trees out here look to primarily be Evergreens, and Pokemon seem to be avoiding the road for obvious reasons.
[19:54:18] [zoofmeister] It soon becomes pretty clear that this is going to be a long trip, and you'll be camping out on the way.  After a few hours, you come across a familiar face on the path - you see Mr. Jenks a little bit off the road, scouting around with binoculars.  His Torterra is snoozing close by.
[19:57:01] * Dann- waves at Jenks if the binoculars swing their way.
[19:58:05] * Adrienne isn't really keen on another encounter with someone who believes in cryptozoology, but keeps that little bit to herself. Although, with recently learning about actual magic, she recognizes the part of her that wants to believe in this too. The revelation sort of gives her a "bleh" expression.
[19:58:12] [zoofmeister] Mr. Jenks lowers his binoculars, waves, and calls out. "Howdy, kiddos.  Any of ya'll happen to see a duo of odd men lately? One reported wearing a Hawaiian Shirt, and another a swede jacket? Odd accents? Looking for someone?"
[19:59:15] [Percival] "A good while back we did, they were heading on a train with us."
[19:59:47] [Percival] "They seemed a bit strange but, why do you ask?"
[20:00:42] [Adrienne] "Yeah, the guy in the hawaiian shirt was looking for a PokeDisney prince. Or something like that."
[20:01:17] [Dann-] "Probably had the worst accent I'd ever heard."
[20:02:30] [zoofmeister] Mr. Jenks squints.  "Huuuh...how long ago?  Been on the trail for them....I suspect they are Retiloid Invaders.  Well, them and the Batsquatch."
[20:04:07] * Adrienne can't resist. "What the hell is a Retiloid?"
[20:07:18] [zoofmeister] "Lizard people.  From underground.  Wearin' skinsuits to try to blend in amongst us...I dunno why they are lookin' for that kid, but it's probably nefarious!"  He's entirly serious as he explains this.  "Well, that and there's been reports of some unusual Pokemon activity out here.  Unusual behavior in the wilds.  Unusual sounds at night, and signs of fights.  I suspect a Batsquatch is behind it."
[20:08:30] [Adrienne] "And what's a Batsquatch?"
[20:09:49] [zoofmeister] "Imagine like...an Ursaring as smart as a man...that can fly."  Jenks shudders just imagining it.  "Terrible critters, one of the worst types of Squatches in this Region."
[20:11:11] [Dann-] "What are some of the others?" Dann asks with as a straight a face as he can manage.
[20:12:09] * Adrienne briefly thinks about Arthur being able to fly. "So, are there say, Magisquatch in the ocean that evolve into Gyarasquatch?" Meanwhile, Adrienne is being sarcastic.
[20:12:56] [Percival] "Have you seen these beasts before?"
[20:14:23] [zoofmeister] He pauses, then starts counting on his hand... "Octosquatch - not to be confused with a Sharktapus, Sheepsquatch, Sassquatch...They got a lot of close relatives but those are the major Squatches."
[20:14:53] [Dann-] "Sheepsquatch? Any relation to Mareep?"
[20:15:42] [zoofmeister] "Naw not exactly," he takes out a Pokeball...and releases a Sheepsquatch.
[20:17:55] [@Doxy] The beam of ruby light materializes, and standing before you is the mighty and enourmous sheepsquatch. Anyone with an intelligence exceeding that of a dishplate can tell it's a particularly puffy ursaring, with a gigantic afro that sways with dangerous levels of FUNK. It winks at Adrienne, and slowly raises its paw to its face to munch on a turnip.

They keep stealin' their supplies, ambushin' them in the night, and generally watchin' them in what looks like an organized manner.  Only a Squatch could be wise enough to coordinate something that nefarious.  Well...that or a human.  Or a reptiloid bodysnatcher wearin'

[20:32:31] [zoofmeister] "Well, none of the hippies been seriously injured yet, so they just think they are off doin' hippie things and havin' a bit too much of the peace pipe before their vision quests or what have ya."
[20:32:51] [Percival] "I think it would, it's an awfully strange situation."
[20:34:02] [Dann-] "How long of a detour is it to stop by Hardhack on our way to Snowberry?"

[20:34:51] * Adrienne pulls up a map on her phone and shows it to Dann. "It's a pretty huge detour."
[20:35:28] [zoofmeister] "Well, assumin' you're just followin' the road up the mountain, you'll run into one of the main conservation camps along the way, probably before night fall."
[20:35:42] [zoofmeister] "Most this is happenin' closer to here, rather than Hardhack proper."
[20:36:05] [Dann-] "Perfect. Maybe we'll get a look at what's goin on."
[20:36:16] [zoofmeister] "N' you mean the Squatches in general?  Hell they've probably been a thing since before humans settled here.  This Batsquatch activty? Can't be more than a few days."

Around 4 PM you see a little dirt road to the side lead down to a few wooden cabins, some tents, and some equiptment not unlike what Grit had at his near-Hollyhock camp.

Professor Chia pulls out his phone and shows you a blurry photo, taken at night.

Eventually the tracks lead to a pond in the woods.  It's pretty tranquil, surrounded by bushes and rocks and trees, and a lot of tracks can be found here in

[22:41:51] [Adrienne] "... Was that an Ursaring with wings?" Tone: Disbelief.
[22:42:11] [Percival] "Did we really just see it skipping too?"
[22:44:42] * Adrienne shines the light at Mina. "Big, fuzzy Ursaring with wings and skipping. You saw that, right?"
[22:45:52] [castfromhp] Mina taps herself on the head with her lights, looking confused. She nods, then shrugs with her little bulbs.
[22:50:00] [Adrienne] "Welp, that was certainly a thing. Come on Mina, I'm checking it out a bit more." Adrienne heads forward to where the thing was last seem and checks the trees and surrounding area for any sign of its passing. Broken branches, fur, maybe some powder? That kind of thing. "Or you can enjoy the pond, if that's your thing."
[22:50:49] [zoofmeister] Okay, one more Perception roll then.
[22:51:19] [castfromhp] Mina waddles over to the pond and splashes about a bit, then settles into a spot she likes. She starts waving her lights rhythmically in the air.
