  1. The night life. Full of dancing, partying and bright lights no big city can go without it. Some however prefer to live to a higher standard. With a big city comes big players like Barry Manson. He, like every other foreign whale in the city of Dubai had his investments paid off rather well. His construction company made a pretty mint on new homes for those middle class citizens. Sadly a few of these homes had bad cases of burning down due to gas leakage. No matter, those were all probably coincidences.
  2.
  3. "Those fires resulted from many different causes. Although I feel remorse for those who passed away I cannot do anything for them." Barry thought to himself.
  4. "Now is not the time to worry over such things. I'm here with the strong arms of this world to relax and have fun." Barry pondered as he made his way to one of his acquaintances.
  5.
  6. "Barry, it is so good to see you again." said Mr. Leid.
  7. "The pleasure's mine Mr. Leid." replied Barry. "I simply wanted to let you know that our merger has been going splendidly. We haven't had any road bumps and our stocks are rising like cake in the oven."
  8. "Barry, your my business partner, not my secretary. If I wanted to know that I'd just act Sheila." Mr. Leid remarked. "But still thank you for that. Another reason to celebrate."
  9.
  10. "May I have your attention everyone." shouted Mr. Leid.
  11. "A toast, to this new partnership of Leid Ltd. and Manson's Development Co."
  12. "Cheers.", said the crowd.
  13. "Cheers.", said Barry before sipping his champagne.
  14.
  15. Outside the office building a lone figure lies waiting on top of a construction site's steel beams. The so called guards are enjoying a little nap, courtesy of the uninvited guest. Her client is a sad fellow. Unable to have children she decided to further her law career while spoiling her nephews whenever she could. One day when she was heading to her cousin's house to visit her favorite two tots she instead found a home blazing into the sky. By the time the firemen arrived the abode and everyone in it was nothing but charred pipes and cinders. Being a smart, but traumatized purveyor of the law she discovered that the same incident was occurring with other people with the same kind of home, made by the same man, Barry Manson. One day, out of the blue, she saw a man, reading the evening news on her couch, as if he was always there.
  16.
  17. "I see you've been doing a little bit of research." said man, dressed in a suit with his face covered with a breathing mask.
  18. "I might be able to help you carry out your hobby. Here's my card. On the day where you wish for my assistance, just give me a dial and we'll work something out."
  19.
  20. And the rest was another routine job. Negotiate a price, her employer gives her a target and life goes on.
  21.
  22. "Sherry, got him in your sights?" a voice crackled in her collar.
  23. "Yes. Target Acquired. Permission to fire Mr. Yu?" Sherry nonchalantly replied with her finger on the trigger.
  24. "He's all yours. Wait, I have another call coming. Hmm, yeah, sure. We got another deal. See a man in a red tie, with blond shiny hair? He also has to go."
  25.
  26. Silence.
  27.
  28. "I know you don't like surprises but think of it this way. More targets means more money, which means we both have time to relax and spend that money. You like the the sound of that?"
  29. "Yeah."
  30. "Always the conversationalist. Don't let me chatter away at your chance. Go get them."
  31.
  32. With two shots. Two men, who were thinking, "How could this day get any better?", now a red mist from the neck up.
  33. "Targets down. I'm heading home."
  34. "Congratulations, I'll send the funds ASAP. Enjoy your evening."
  35. "You too."
  36.
  37. ---
  38.
  39. "Mr. Yu, Mr. Yu!" exclaimed the little boy.
  40. "What is it champ?" Mr. Yu asked.
  41. "Mommy said that she's going home today!" the boy cheered. "She said she was going to get me a present from work!"
  42. "Oh did she. Wait, I think she's here now."
  43. "I'm home." Sherry flatly stated.
  44. "MOM!!!" the boy yelled happily as he rushed to give her a hug. "Mom, you're here! How was work? Did you get anything for me?" he excited said with a hyperactive speed only children can do.
  45. "T, Tommy, please, slow down." Sherry said panicking. "You might hit my blades."
  46. "Tommy, your mom's a little tired from her flight. How's about I cook something for you too and and we can talk over lunch." said Mr. Yu.
  47. "Okay!" Tommy said as he ran to the bathroom.
  48. "Be sure to wash your hands." Sherry spoke timidly.
  49.
  50. Sherry slumped to the couch, completely red with embarrassment.
  51.
  52. "You didn't have to do that." Sherry said.
  53. "You looked like you needed the help. Plus it's fun to see you flustered." said Mr. Yu as he fried tilapia.
  54. "You, you, you" before Sherry could give Mr. Yu the long slash good night, Tommy came to the kitchen saying, "Mom! I washed my hands, see.", showing his hands and turning them.
  55. "Oh you did, that's really good." Sherry replied, folding back her arm blades.
  56. "Mom, were you trying to give Mr. Yu a hug?" Tommy asked.
  57. "Yeah, for doing such a good job. Tommy come here so I can show that you did a good job."
  58. "Okay mom." Tommy said as he hugged her tightly.
  59. "I got a present for you." Sherry said, pulling out a board from her briefcase.
  60. "What's this?"
  61. "It's a Corram Board. The kids over there play that game. Once we're done eating how about we play a game?" Sherry spoke happily, always ready to speak more for her son.
  62.
  63. "Lunch is ready, anytime you'd like." said Mr. Yu.
  64. "okay", said both mother and child.
