275.
Even at a young age, Lucius Barton was destined to become one of the great warriors in Ancient Rome. Born into wealth to one of the strongest families, his life was already set in stone for him even before he could talk. Training began for him when he was a kid, his parents wanting him to be the absolute best warrior when the time came. Lucius was always gifted in this field, the training only making him better and better every time. Despite this upbringing, his heart was never into it. After his training sessions as a child, Lucius would meet up with a painter he met. At first, he would just stop by to see her paintings and see her creating her work of art. It was absolutely mesmerizing for the little boy. Eventually, the painter started to give Lucius lessons. For years, he took lessons from her, painting becoming this outlet for him. This was what he wanted to do with his life - not becoming a warrior. Still, he couldn't upset his parents, so he continued with the training while going to his painting lessons afterwards. It was what made the training bearable.

 276.
 277.
When he was seventeen, the woman who had given him painting passed away, leaving him the studio where she painted. For the longest time, that little place was his sanctuary. It was his best kept secret and it was where he went to all the time. He was so preoccupied with his painting that Lucius didn't have time for romance. That wasn't a problem. His parents didn't hesitate to try and pawn him off to another wealthy family. These arrangements never worked out. Lucius always found a way to ruin things and that's how he wanted it.

 278.
 279.
Eventually, his parents got fed up with the whole thing and confronted Lucius about it. When he finally revealed the truth, that he wanted to become a painter and didn't want to be pawned off anymore, his parents angrily refused his lifestyle choice. When he told them that he was going to leave, they decided to take action. One day when he was away from his studio, he came back to it to find it all destroyed. The place was ruined along with all his paintings. It didn't take him long to figure out it was his parents's doing. With all his paintings gone and with no place to paint any longer, Lucius knew he had nothing left - it was exactly what his parents were going for. With noting left, he had no choice but to go back to his family home and do as his parents wanted him to do. They were still pawning him off to eligible wealthy daughters from other families. Still, Lucius found ways to have those arrangements fall apart.

 280.
 281.
As the years went by and he kept messing up arrangements, Lucius found ways to paint again. He did it in secret so his parents wouldn't find out. His parents were too busy trying to marry him off. When he hit the age of 32, he got more freedom in his choices of women. When he met a particular girl who he could tolerate more than most, he decided to finally make his parents happy and be engaged to her. Maybe if he were married, he would be able to paint more freely, so he finally gave in.

 282.
 283.
However, things changed drastically when he stumbled upon a young woman he had never met before. Meeting Mila was like love at first sight - something he didn't even know he believed in. Lucius fell rapidly and deeply in love with Mila. After a while he knew that this was the woman he wanted to spend the rest of his life with. Calling things off with his fiancee felt easy, but the girl's mother didn't take too kindly to it. Angered by Lucius's change of heart, the woman cast a curse on the two of them. She made Lucius immortal while she fated Mila with death at twenty-five. In each of her lifetimes, Mila was to die at age twenty-five and Lucius was set to watch her die every time.

 284.
 285.
Madly in love with Mila, Lucius was determined to find her in every lifetime and do everything he could to save her. Time and time again he had failed, but that never stopped him. After all, he was set to live forever and what better way than to spend it with the woman he loved as many times as possible.

 286.
 287.
In between finding every incarnation of Mila, Lucius was able to pursue his dream of painting. Eventually, his work got famous under different names he'd use. It was how he made his money over the year. He had gained so much money, he didn't know what to do with it anymore. Now currently residing in London, England where he found the newest incarnation of Mila, Ava Prince, he goes under the name of Luke using all the money he can to find a way to save Mila this time around.
