  3. - Battle Stats:
  4. Trainers have Stats just like a Pokemon, and function like those of a pokemon in almost every way. They can be changed by Combat Stages, affected by abilities and Moves, ect. However, trainers need not follow Base Relations.

  6. When Creating your Trainer at Level 0, you get 30 points to distribute as you like, with a minimum of 1 in each stat and a maximum of 8.

  8. Trainer HP is calculated as HP Stat x4 + Levelx4.

  10. - Attributes:
  11. Attributes represent the various mental skills and disciplines used by trainers to learn, grow, and succeed in their fields of specialization. There are six Attributes.

  13. Discipline (DIS) - Discipline is the ability to remain steadfast and focused in the tasks that lay before you, and push yourself to new heights. Ace Trainers, Martial Artists, and Mystics require discipline to achieve their full potential.

  15. Acuity (ACU)- Your acuity skill symbolizes your ability to react quickly and accurately to a situation. Capture Specialists, Martial Artists, and Rangers require this to succeed in their respective fields.

  17. Spirit (SPI) - Your spirit represents your ability to approach all challenges with the vim and vigor they deserve, and push the boundries of your skill and understanding. Ace Trainers, Coordinators, and Psychics need Spirit to rise to new heights

  19. Intellect (INT) – Intellect represents your ability to memorize and process information. Capture Specialists, Psychics, and Researchers all rely on their raw mental prowess to grow and succeed.

  21. Awareness (AWA) - Awareness is very simply how good you are at noticing things. It is useful for all characters and classes, but is of particular importance to Breeders, Mystics, and Researchers.

  23. Charm (CHA) - Charm describes your ability to impress, lead, and ingratiate yourself with others. Breeders, Coordinators, and Rangers need to win over the hearts and minds of people and pokemon alike to succeed.

  26. SO, how does one create one of these newfangled Trainers anyway?

  28. Easy. At level 0, you have 64 points, as normal, to distribute among your Attributes. The Maximum is 14, the minimum is 6, just like before. Nothing new here except the names here, really! Why change it then? Well, to allow for the existance of combat stats, the physical associations had to be removed.

  30. So what about leveling up?

  32. You gain a Stat Point each level, every level. You gain Attribute Points same as when you gained a Stat Point before.

  34. What about Capabilities?
  35.  
  36. Capabilities are pretty straight forward.
  37. * Trainers have a Power Capability equal to 3, or 1 plus their Attack Stat divided by 5, whichever is higher. The Power Capability is not affected by Combat Stages.
  38. * Trainers have an Overland Capability of 5, or 3 plus their Speed Stat divided by 5, whichever is higher.
  39. * Trainers have an Surface Capability of 4, or 2 plus their Speed Stat divided by 5, whichever is higher.
  40. * Trainers have an Underwater Capability of 3, or 1 plus their Speed Stat divided by 5, whichever is higher.
