I have seen the damage first hand what drama can do to people here. I've tried to stop it myself and with others. history is taught in school to prevent the same mistakes from happening over and over time and time again

KayneRIscariot: Even thinking about it, I can't say I have. There are plenty of times that I become frustrated with the way things are, even when I try to correct problems, and I may say "I've had enough", or "Fuck IMVU, let it die", or even "There is no way we'll recover from this. IMVU and the role-play community are screwed!" And, yet, here I sit, in a room of role-players, hoping we are going to work something out civilly. Somewhere, I still have hope that it can be salvaged. So, no,... I haven't given up.

ElijahxShizuyaki: The point of the council is to give everyone a fair chance to exist in a world where they don't have to worry about an unplanned and unstoppable wave of drama because we all know that blocking doesn't do shit.

KayneRIscariot: First of all, we need everyone on the same page. Without unity, there is no community. But, Virelle has already stated such. And, as it stands right now, we appear somewhat divided on our stance. Understandably, there is logic behind what Kaden is saying. I understand the concept of learning from history. It's a very important concept to keep in mind. Now, knowing the different backgrounds we all come from, we all have our parts to play and information to give. The diversity of a group can be both its gift and its curse. If we continue to act as individuals, trying to prove a point, then we are failing our objective altogether. We shouldn't have to prove anything to anyone; simply lay the concept down, and allow people to either adapt it or reject it. Trying to prove a point is like trying to force your ideals on other people, if they're not wanting to listen and you continue to hound on the subject. Now, we cannot force anyone to see things our way, 'nor can anyone else. That is the whole point behind free will. // We have, already tonight, come to the conclusion that if any "organization" were to be made, we would first need to come up with out purpose - which, as I recall, is to help diffuse and detour a threat to the community as a whole, as well as possibly allowing for education and resource collection. Second of all, we have already begun to debate whom we would be recruiting into this "organization". And, as Elijah, Azure, Shen, Virelle and I spoke of, we planned on taking members from various forms of role-play, whom would all have something to contribute to the community. These would be players with respected standing in the community, players whom are very skilled at what they do and are willing to engage, players of less complicated, less diligent styles of role-play. I believe you have underestimated the people whom sit before you. For all of the banter that has occured, before others became involved, we were already beginning to discuss these questions you are asking now, and going beyond such as to say that we need to ensure a code of conduct is followed justly, and that no one group, family, or member goes unchecked or unbalanced. There would be no titles - it is a humble admission to a group whom purpose was solely to protect and educate.

I've witness and seen plenty of them in the past two months being on imvu roleplaying.

ElijahxShizuyaki: In the time we’ve wasted we’ve established that we need a set of laws and guidelines that can be passed down, or a set of rules to govern our own dealings to ensure that we are all equal and that nothing about or council or UN oversteps the bounds we agree need to be established. We’ve also established that the RP community isn’t going to accept us because of history and that requires that we open the floor to any and every one instead of limiting it to just a small group’s mentality. What we’ve also done is agree that a small web presence is required with the understanding that it’s on each and every member to pass it along. We’ve also gotten to the point where we understand that our UN needs to be more than just what we think it needs to be on the surface. It also needs to be able to meet every rising RP need. The failures of the former groups were that they lacked diversity. What we have is a rag tag group of multifaceted players who have the ability to bend and warp to their surroundings. What we’ve also decided is that while this group can’t have leaders, it can have guidelines established by past mistakes and future needs such as a normal business. We know that if you treat an entity as a need then you will only master one aspect of it, but if you address the needs with a business mentality then there isn’t anything you can’t prepare for. We understand that the community needs teachers, alliances, character creation, story line assistance and the like. We also know that with regards to the drama that is created when something like this is done or when other issues present themselves that we are prepared to handle it because a lot of us have built our reputations out of fear or out of understanding that humans are humans regardless of the self-entitled species. We know that if there are members of our current occupants who have made a life based on understanding why people do what they do then there’s no reason to fear the drama that people will come at us with. We know full well that we’ll have to tighten our belts and come up with universal aspects of rp that will assist us but we’re prepared for that task. We are prepared to do the research and to waste the manhours doing what is required to make sure this survives because we’ve all already done it. We’ve already searched the internet to see what is accepted as rules. We’ve also studied bundles of legal documents to ensure that we understand what comes with running a business. We also started on the web presence and will have the information sent to everyone present to make sure we feel welcomed and we know there are no secrets. We also know that an IC element needs to be done and we are already starting on that to make sure everything is legal for those of us who know that some RP’s will require it. We’ve also started the process to make the aforementioned possible and nearly done. We’ve pulled from the IMVU forums to see what arguments were debated in the way of legal rp tactics. We’ve also pulled from government sites to build the perfect charter. We’ve also started a Forum based website that will have every form/statute/rule/information we can find in one place so no one has to scour the internet like we have. We’ve also begun reaching out to others to spread our word. The only thing we haven’t come up with is a name. We are thinking RPUN (Ha, pun, we get the joke. But it stands for Role Play United Nations).
