My Littlest Echo - Part 3

The two were inside the strange building. What was this place? The only thing Damian could do was hope everything would be explained soon enough. As they walked forward a dim light could be seen and music could be heard. Finally they reached a room, it looked like some kind of lounge. There Damian saw several new faces.

Sasquatch : Hey everybody!
??? : Welcome back Sasquatch. We have been waiting for you to come back.

Damian blinked his eyes in shock of the voice he just heard. It looked like some kind of metal walking grandfather clock was talking. It seemed to be in some disrepair though, as gears were poking out that you would usually see inside of a pocket watch.

Damian : What in didn worl is that? (Sasquatch chuckled a bit.)
Sasquatch : No idea. We found him in the ground one day and he had no idea who or why he was there.
Telio : They call me Telio because I keep telling them the time at certain intervals beyond my control.

Damian still thought this thing was too peculiar. After staring at the metal man for a couple minutes, his eyes wandered around the rest of the room. He saw two other people that seemed to be on a platform playing music. One was playing a piano and had shades on. He had some pretty distinct facial features. It looked as if he had a prominent waxed handlebar mustache and a splitted goatee on his chin. He seemed to be dressed very fashionable in a suit with his hair slicked back. The other person on the stage was playing some wind instrument. He looked very raggedy from top to bottom and had a yellowish tint to their skin. This person seemed to be wearing a heavy overcoat with different patches sewed on. He had some stubble on his chin, unlike the other man. The last person in the room seemed to be in some lady figure. She was smoking a long cigarette in the corner, seemingly minding her own business. Her attire seemed quiet classy consisting of a brimmed hat with a feather sticking out, a fur stole, gloves that went up her arms, and a frilled dress on, all white in color. Looking at these fellows, all that could come to Damian's mind was "Who were these bunch?"

Sasquatch : Alright listen up everyone. I think I found the one Telio was telling us about.

The two musician stopped playing music and looked over at the young Damian.

??? (1) : This squirt? He looks like he's still wrapped up in towels by his mama. I doubt he is.
??? (2) : Heh, I have to agree with Lake on this one.
Sasquatch : No no no. It's not like that. I felt the power when I spotted him at the park. He has the potential, but he doesn't quite understand it.
Lake : So we have to babysit this bellybuck?
Sasquatch : I figured we could have Jicks train him to unlock his talents.
Jicks : I don't know about this one chap. He doesn't even have facial hair yet.
Sasquatch : You can make a man out of anyone Jicks. (Jicks grins at the comment)
Jicks : Well my reputation does precede me it seems. I guess it'd grow in after I'm done with him.

Just like that, the lady in the corner walks over to Jicks, pats him on the shoulder and smiles.

??? : You'll do just fine Jicks, I believe you can make something of him. (Jicks smiles back)
Jicks : Thanks Lily. You always know how to brighten my mood in these tough times.

Lily walks off into a back room while blowing rings of smoke at Jicks. After being dazed looking at the direction Lily walked off into, Jicks face turns more serious and he looks towards Damian.

Jicks : So laddie, are you ready for some training?
Damian : Oh boy, oh boy! I can't wait! This will be the top bananas!
Jicks : This isn't like playtime kid. This is to hopefully stop that dublunatic King Tsyremy once and for all. You can't take this lightly.
Damian : I understand.
Jicks : Good. Tomorrow morning then. You will be my right hand man in training. I expect you to wake up on time and ready for anything I do.
Damian : Yes sir.

Well things are looking good for our little buddy Damian right now, but can he handle this training the big and boastful Jicks has in store for him? And what about these other guys? How will they help in the matters at hand as well? Who will this walking clock toll for? Find out soon in the next chapter.
