  1. Events prior to the game and other character/story details:
  2. - Hoshido and Nohr have tension, maybe conflicts, but never a full scale war.
  3. - Hoshido is bountiful and full of resources while Nohr is suffering.
  4. - Every now and then Nohrians try to invade out of necessity since they live in impoverished lands, although this leads to rather unscrupulous methods of doing so, some people simply taking advantage for their own gains.
  5. - Every now and then Hoshidans try to invade out of religious reasons, believing they can purify Nohr. Some do it just out of revenge or just business, while others do it for religious and power hungry purposes.
  6. - Both of these invasions are pretty equal.
  7. - The corrupted higher ups in Hoshido believe Hoshido was chosen by the gods and want to destroy Nohr, believing them to be demons.
  8. - The royals disagree and would rather share their resources and find a better path.
  9. - The corrupted higher ups in Nohr want to wipe Hoshido out entirely and let Nohr reign alone as vengeance.
  10. - The royals disagree and would rather find a more peaceful way for both nations to live.
  11. - Garon is now very much alive and intends to stay that way. He's tough but stern, only wanting what's best for his nation.
  12. - Garon would marry a lot and never actually divorce or sever ties and tried to live with them all as his mistresses... but that didn't end well. Many children and even many of the mistresses fought amongst each other and straight up killed each other, leaving Garon, Xander, Leo, and Camilla to be rather jaded. Elise, born after all of this strife, was the only one who still maintains a positive outlook.
  13. - Sumeragi is now alive as well and is the battle hungry blood knight he was in Revelations, but only due to greed and the corrupt higher ups influence.
  14. - Sumeragi was an ace soldier growing up and proud warrior prince, something that Ryoma is now. However, combat was one of the only few things he knew how to do well enough. The corrupt and higher ups taint him with the ideas of Hoshidan's religious self-righteousness, and since Sumeragi isn't that great with politics, his advisors handle that. As such, while he tries to strive to be a great king for all, he makes rash decisions and believes that all problems can be solved through battle.
  15.
  16. Prologue:
  17. - Corrin (You) has a childhood with the Hoshidans, being raised among them for a while.
  18. - You get to know briefly about them and also see younger looking portraits of them.
  19. - You also become acquainted with Mikoto and Sumeragi more.
  20. - To save on making more models it could just be done from a first person perspective just like some cutscenes.
  21. - You actually get time to be familiar with them, and also learn about the status of Hoshido and their strife with Nohr.
  22. - One day Sumeragi takes you to a war council along with Ryoma and Takumi, in Nohr, to try and form a peace treaty of some sort.
  23. - Garon is there. But unfortunately some opportunist Hoshidans (like say, Kumagera) tries attacking Garon and the Nohrians, believing them all to be vile scum.
  24. - Garon sees that Sumeragi brought his children along. Only Ryoma and Takumi have fighting experience and decides to kidnap you for safety.
  25. - Now that Garon sees that the Hoshidans won't listen to reason, he starts preparing for war, but doesn't act on anything yet because he tries to decide the best course of action.
  26. - He would rather conquer out of necessity to ensure that both lands can prosper, even if lives must be shed along the way.
  27. - Meanwhile some Nohrian opportunists (like say.... Hans, I guess) see this as an opportunity for murder and believe Hoshido should be burned down.
  28. - You are now raised among the Nohrians for the rest of your life. Flash forward to current, present day Corrin since they'd rather show off the model you chose at the beginning now. Not locked away in the fortress, just among your Nohrian royal siblings as you should have been.
  29. - You are now raised as a lord should be. Noble, proper, studious, and so on. You would also receive combat training but it would be for self-defense purposes.
  30. - You find out about the status of Nohr, and you now compare it to Hoshido and you believe something should be done about it. Hoshido should share their bounty.
  31. - Your retainers are Gunter, Flora, Felicia, Jakob, while you have the nobleman Silas visiting you every now and then.
  32. - All the while, Sumeragi also plans to prepare for war now that his children are strong enough to fight. He knows that the tensions between the two nations are high and that the invasions between the two are far more frequent.
  33. - One day some Hoshidans decide to finally strike back and kidnap you back, and are successful.
  34. - You are reunited with his Hoshidan siblings, but the town square is under attack by invisible soldiers.
  35. - No, Sumeragi is not one of them. He's alive now. Instead we have... I don't know, Anthony? That child Faceless guy.
  36. - The Hoshidans believe that war is now at their doors because Corrin, now raised as Nohrian royalty, came back to the capital to somehow lay waste to it.
  37. - You run off on your own because you are conflicted and felt caught up in the middle of all this. The Hoshidan royals fought along side you and know this is not the truth.
  38. - All of a sudden you meet a mysterious singer named Azura, singing by the lakeside.
  39. - The two of you talk about the state of your nations, as you find out that she was in the opposite situation as you: had a childhood in Nohr, but raised in Hoshido. Your conversation is cut short as you are now surrounded by the Hoshidan and Nohrian army.
  40. - Plains of Hoshido.
  41. - Garon, Xander, Camilla, Leo, and Elise are glad to see that you are safe and are worried that the Hoshidans have gotten to you.
  42. - Sumeragi, Ryoma, Hinoka, Takumi, and Sakura know it was all a misunderstanding and that they will help clear your name.
  43. - The Nohrians are ready for war, ready to conquer for resources and help their impoverished land, and want you to fight alongside them and join in their conquest.
  44. - The Hoshidans are ready for war, as they need to defend themselves and also you were taken as a child, and want you to fight alongside them as part of your birthright.
  45. - Branch of Fate.
  46.
  47. Birthright:
  48. - You side with the Hoshidans as you were supposed to be raised among them, and the fact that the Nohrians kidnapped you anyway and also keep attacking Hoshido is something you need to figure out. You stand against your Nohrian family, much to their dismay.
  49.
  50. Conquest:
  51. - You side with the Nohrians, as you grew up and were raised among them, and the fact that the Hoshidans are self-righteous about their resources, never sharing their bounty with your poor land is something you need to figure out. You stand against your Hoshidan family, much to their dismay.
  52.
  53. Revelation:
  54. - You side with neither family, as you cannot bring yourself to fight against either of them. You immediately go into hiding to try and figure out what to do and find your own way to end this war. Maybe there are some hidden truths that need revelations for. What even were those invisible guys about, anyway?
