  18. 1) agrees in Committee to include all devil rays (Mobula spp.) under CITES protection via Appendix II listing
  19. 2) agrees in Committee to include all thresher sharks (Alopias spp.) in Appendix II
  20. 3) Proposal submitted by Swaziland to trade in rhino horn rejected in Committee
  21. --> Swaziland was seeking to alter the existing annotation on the Appendix II listing of its white
  22. rhino population so as to permit a limited and regulated trade in white rhino horn
  23. 4) agrees in Committee to include the clarion angelfish in Appendix II
  24. 5) agrees in Committee to include silky shark in Appendix II
  25. 6) votes in Committee against the proposal to include all African elephant populations in Appendix I
  26. 7) votes in Committee against proposals of Namibia & Zimbabwe to allow international commercial trade in their elephants
  27. --> Namibia & Zimbabwe had lobbied for the right to sell off stockpiles accrued from natural deaths and poaching
  28. seizures to fund projects in communities close to elephants.
  29. 8) agree in Committee to close domestic markets of elephant ivory that contribute to poaching or illegal trade
  30. 9) agreed in Committee to add many new reptile species under CITES trade controls
  31. 10) agreed in Committee on strengthened conservation measures for African lions
  32. --> Committee has decided to allow a lion bone quota from farmed lions in South Africa
  33. 11) agrees in Comittee to a strong resolution to combat illegal trade in Helmeted Hornbill (Appendix I), valued higher than ivory in black market
  34. 12) agrees in Committee to give African grey parrot, one of most trafficked birds, highest level protection via Appendix I listing
  35. 13) Committee agrees to put ALL 300 Dalbergia species under #CITES protection
  36. 14) agrees in Committee to move all 8 species of #pangolins, the most trafficked mammal, in Appendix I
  37. 15) Delegation to review subject on bottle nosed Dolphins from the Dead Sea.
  38. 16) CITES wanted to downgrade the protection of the Peregrine falcon, defeated and remains protected.
  39. 17) A cheetah tool kit will be established to help stoping illegal cheetah trade.no commercial pet trade
  40. 18) CITES votes down protections for Cape mountain zebra (downlisted to Appendix II)
  41. 19) Committee agreed to up-list the Barbary macaque to Appendix I status
