  1. Pokemon Infinite / Pokemon Null
  2.
  3. is a pair of Pokemon games that are a set in the [Sciova? name pending] region. The region is more technologically advanced than other regions, and is the only region which allows the use of technology to augment Pokemon.
  4.
  5. After meeting with your Pokemon Bioscience Professor, he appreciates your enthusiasm with regards to his research, and quickly recruits your assistance. He shows you his latest, and very noteworthy invention - a living, lab-made mechanical pokemon! This very special, and unique Pokemon is ready for the final phase of testing- in order to activate it and bring it to life, it needs to be provided with an elemental evolution stone. He asks you to choose a stone from the nearby table, and bring it to him. You can choose from a leaf stone, a fire stone, or a water stone.
  6.
  7. Once you choose the evolution stone, it is added to the machine, which quickly springs to life, adopting the elemental characteristics of the stone you selected.
  8.
  9. The professor says that this Pokemon is a living being, just like any other- and that it's origins don't make it any less worthy of your care and attention. He gives you the pokemon, so that you can train it and show it the world. All he asks in return is that you update him regularly on its progress.
  10.
  11. [Once the main story is completed, you can return to the professor for a second mechanical pokemon. There are more evolution stones out there than the three you chose from initially!]
  12.
  13. [Technical note: these pokemon are an item until the stone is added, at which point they become a unique numbered variant of a pokemon depending on which stone is used.]
  14.
  15. After you raise the Pokemon for a number of levels, it will begin to act strangely. You will be contacted by the professor, who asks you to return to him immediately.
  16.
  17. Once you return to the professor, he explains that because of the complex nature of the Pokemon, it has unusual requirements for evolution. You are tasked with a quest to fill 8 energy crystals.
  18. [These energy crystal quests are renewable - you can use them to completely restore the status of one of these lab-created Pokemon, but you should hang on to some until you complete this quest.]
  19.
  20. Once you return with the crystals, the professor uses them to overcharge the creature and enable its evolution. After this, it will evolve at the next levelup.
  21.
  22. For the second evolution, you will need 16 more energy crystals and 3 elemental stones of the correct type. While normally evolution stones are very rare, you will be given a quest to procure the ones you need for its final form (and there will be slow renewable sources for them).
  23.
  24. This pokemon lineage has a special, hidden effect as well - if holding a matching elemental evolution stone, its special attack with its own element will increase.
  25.
  26.
  27. Region notes:
  28. A strange [pokemon? team? apocolypse? something else?] is beginning to fragment this reality. Holes have torn in space and time, and few people know why or how. However, being the tech-savvy, open-minded people they are, they embraced these holes and attempt to capitalize on their unique advantages. They use these portals for travel, exploration, and are even beginning to use time-bending holes for industrial purposes.
  29.
  30. Gimmicks:
  31. Acceleration Farm - A late-game unlock, you can use a small time travel chamber to grow berries. Each tree slot requires a specific feat to reserve (unlock). Once you have it unlocked, you can accelerate time inside the chamber every [couple hours?], causing the planted berries to grow instantly.
  32.
  33. Berry breeding - A minigame to breed a better berry tree.
  34.
  35. Headphones - a part of character design, and they also provide the OST for the game.
  36.
  37. A specific dungeon/area that involves time travel, allowing you to vist past, present, or future variants of it and solving puzzles across time.
  38.
  39. An expedition to Pinkan island to collect a sample of the rare fruit that grows there (and perhaps to catch one of the rare Pinkan pokemon variants!)
  40.
  41. After you complete the Pinkan fruit expedition, the professor creates his own variation fruit, and tasks you with feeding it to one of the lab preserve pokemon. He then gives you the new unique variant of that pokemon to keep a close watch on.
  42.
  43. A pokemon with metadata that comes in nearly any combination of 2 colors, and is almost always unique (even if not noticeably so).
  44.
  45. A pokemon whose evolution depends on geographical context at the time of evolution (i.e. a grass evolution in plains, an ocean evo near/on water, etc).
  46.
  47. A pokemon whose evolution is literally a random selection.
  48.
  49. A pokemon who can evolve into two different pokemon based on what level it is allowed to evolve at.
  50.
  51. Augmentation of a pokemon - The bad guys should be attempting to augment a legendary pokemon. Which augmentation they perform will depend on which game of the pair you are playing. Naturally, you will end up with the augmented pokemon. Need to be careful with the implementation of this one - while initially undesireable is okay, any physical harm to the pokemon is not acceptable given the rating of the game series. Notably augmentation will determine a form, not a species, per the pokedex.
  52.
  53. A mon that evolves only after meeting 100 other species in battle.
