- Ground Combat: Players will encounter this when boarding/being boarded, and when the eventual ground missions come up later in the campaign. It is exactly like it sounds, either shooting at enemies or meleeing them violently.
- >>Rules: The Dice table will be exactly the same as it is in the normal rules, so see them for the table. Combat actions will also work like they do in the normal rules in that you get 2 of them per turn and they are d100.
- >Combat and Casualties: When you roll in ground combat, you can roll to do some zany shit or maneuver, or/and you can roll to attack. The roll from the attack takes a chunk out of the enemy force in a manner of percentage of their strength, rounded up to the nearest whole number.
- Example: Baz: Strength 20/20
- 5 Traitor Recruits: Strength 5/5
- Baz rolls a 89 to attack an enemy formation of 5 Recruits, which means he rolled a " + 5" on the roll table, which is translated into reducing 50% of the enemies strength, which is 2.5, which is then rounded up to 3. He kills three troops.
- On the flip side they rolled a 12 to attack baz, and through fluff which I will provide, they fucked up and hurt themselves, dealing 10% damage to their remaining 3 strength (combat damage is done in the order it is posted, if an enemy attacks and kills you before you roll in a turn, you still get your shot off but are still dead) meaning that they take 0.3 Damage, rounded up to 1, most likely a weapon malfunction leading to friendly fire, kill a third man that round.
- >>Troops: These fall under three ranks, and each rank determines the "strength" of a force. You only need to list this when in ground combat. Strength is the "health" of a unit, when its strength is expended it dies.
- Recruit: As Green as grass and not tempered on the anvil of war. 1 Strength each
- Trained: Your average rank and file soldiers, these form your starting Crew and are the most common troop type you'll see. 5 Strength each
- Elite: The Best of the Best, special forces squads and most Imperial Agents. + 20 Strength each. Also the base strength of Captains.
