[19:05] <Mister_Clacky|GM>  In the wastes, there's plenty of things that can make ponies conflicted... unharmonious.
[19:05] <Mister_Clacky|GM>  Sometimes ponies feel like strangers in their own bodies...
[19:06] <Mister_Clacky|GM>  Perhaps our Wastelanders need to get comfortable in their skin.

[19:07] <Mister_Clacky|GM>  Scrap has just finished shopping, coming out of Slash and Slag's. Snack_Cake, North_Star_, and Thunder_Strike stand over by the blue critter still working on a bit of sweetroll.
[19:09] * North_Star_ looks between the mares and the critter, "Well, you seem to want to keep it around, Snacky."
[19:09] * Scrap comes out playing with his new .45 auto and walks over to the others.
[19:10] <Mister_Clacky|GM>  The critter gives a passive growl at the approach of another pony. Too busy eating to give a proper agressive display.
[19:12] * Snack_Cake keeps petting it, with Thunder, calming, soothing petting!
[19:13] <Mister_Clacky|GM>  The critter's hackles lower as it finishes the last ot the sweetroll.
[19:14] * North_Star_ sets the strongbox down, digging out 1000 caps for Snack and Thunder each. "Here, get what you two... Three need, we're leaving soon as we're all set."
[19:16] * Scrap looks at North_Star_. "So, what's the plan?"
[19:17] * North_Star_ passes the box to Scrap, it was his anyway. "Track down Berry and make sure she's okay, maybe see if somepony can talk to her without getting shot again."
[19:18] * Snack_Cake isn't sure what she'd do with a thousand caps! "Are you sure we need so much...?"
[19:19] <Mister_Clacky|GM>  The critter walks under Snack_Cake, sniffing at her hooves.
[19:20] * Scrap takes the box. "But, we don't know where she is. We won't be helping her, if we waste time looking everywhere."
[19:20] * North_Star_ nods. "Those lasers of your's ain't cheap, neither is keeping them in shape."
[19:21] * North_Star_ points a hoof in a northernly direction. "She's on the road north, we head on that she won't be hard to find."
[19:21] * Snack_Cake lifts her hooves up as it sniffs around, glancing between it and North_Star_. "Could you maybe... help me find what I need?"
[19:22] <Scrap> "But, what happends when we come to a fork in the road? How will we know which way she went?"
[19:22] <Mister_Clacky|GM>  The critter bats playfully at Snack_Cake's hooves when she raises them.
[19:23] * North_Star_ blinks twice. "We'll figure it out. Berry's not exactly in the mood for track covering anyway." He looks over at Snack_Cake. "Sure, I need to stop my Slash & Slag's anyway."
[19:25] * Scrap frowns, but doesn't say anything more. "We'll figure it out." coming fron North_Star_ usually meant that things were going to go down hill. Still, if they're heading out, he needs to go to help protect them.
[19:27] <Mister_Clacky|GM>  The critter rolls out from under Snack_Cake and goes to wing! It makes the top of the Clinic in a few flaps.
[19:34] <Mister_Clacky|GM>  He doesn't attract any real attention. Chastity can be seen going into the Dining Car with Lariat. Caboose and his deputies lounge in the north Gatehouse, and there's a bit of a bustle through town as ponies you've only met in passing go about their daily business.
[19:45] <Mister_Clacky|GM>  Slag, walking between the group and and 'Jack', does a doubletake. "The fuck is that thing?" Her head ducks around to her shoulder to draw her pistol.
[19:51] * Thunder_Strike looks at slag. "No wait. So far its.... somewhat friendly slag. Just dont get close to snacky"
[19:52] <Mister_Clacky|GM>  Slag tilts her head, her magic energy pistol in her teeth. "Dafuq Ith it?"
[19:53] * Snack_Cake is very concerned. "Put that away! You'll scare it!"
[19:53] * Thunder_Strike shrugs at her. "I unno"
[19:54] * North_Star_ steps up to the counter, "Calm down, Slag. Just don't spook it."
[19:55] <Mister_Clacky|GM>  Slag quirks an eyebrow, still standing between the group and Jack in the middle of the town's courtyard. The critter doesn't seem to have noticed her.
[19:56] * Scrap stands and watches. He briefly consider removing himself to go talk with Lariat and Chastity.
[19:59] <Mister_Clacky|GM>  The critter sits, looking up and tilting its head before scratching at its ear with a hind leg. Slag holsters the weapon. "What... is it?"
[20:01] * Snack_Cake avoids the question, and instead says, "We found him, hurt in a trap... I wanted to make sure he's alright, and healthy!"
[20:02] * North_Star_ shrugs. "No clue."
[20:14] <Mister_Clacky|GM>  Slag shakes her head. It didn't seem like it was /attacking/. "Well... alright... but it's your responsibility then."
[20:25] * Snack_Cake nods at Slag. "We'll make sure he doesn't get into trouble!" She waits for him to get off the roof before scooping him up and heading over with Thunder_Strike and North_Star_ to go shopping.
[20:26] <Mister_Clacky|GM>  The critter does hop down and is quickly scooped up by Snack_Cake. It rests on her back.
[20:36] * Thunder_Strike follows after her.
[20:37] * Scrap walks to the dining car and sits out front, thinking about the incident with Chastity. He should talk with North. There's no way he can keep up this lie. He could never be like Splotches...
[20:48] <Mister_Clacky|GM>  North_Star_, Snack_Cake, and Thunder_Strike make it into Slash and Slag's with Slag. Slash is working on North_Star_'s gun. Inside the dining car, Chastity and Lariat are eating, Scrap waiting outside.
[20:59] <Mister_Clacky|GM>  The critter rears up and rests its forelegs on Snack_Cake's head. It's wings cover her ears like a cap and drape down either side of her face. He looks around curiously, occassionally barking a very shrill chirp.
[21:11] * Snack_Cake pets him, since he seems to want some attention. She smiles a bit. He's very cute.
[21:12] * Thunder_Strike is alittle jealous. But tries to hide it.
[21:14] <Mister_Clacky|GM>  The critter nuzzles against Snack_Cake's hoof, licking it with its cat-like, sandpaper tongue.
[21:22] ->> Attempting to join #WastelandWeekend
[21:23] <Mister_Clacky|GM>  Slash finishes with North_Star_'s gear as Slag rings them up for their purchases.
[21:23] <Mister_Clacky|GM>  Inside the Dining Car, Scrap can assume they are eating. Since he's outside, he really can't see or hear.
[21:24] * North_Star_ gives Slash a "Thank you, kindly." he he retreves his things and begins reloading the rifle.
[21:36] * Scrap looks back at Slash and Slags and back at the diner. He could tell just them. Tell them that they shouldn't tell anyone else.
[21:56] <Mister_Clacky|GM>  Scrap sees nothing but the bustle of unnamed ponies in the courtyard.
[22:17] <Mister_Clacky|GM>  Slash and Slag conclude their business with their good customers and wave them out the door. Scrap sees Thunder_Strike, Snack_Cake, and North_Star_ come out, a bit better armed.
[22:17] * Scrap approaches them, smiling a bit at their new gear.
[22:18] * North_Star_ steps out as he finishes reloading his rifle, having a satisfied smile when he hears the cleaned and fixed parts cycle the round into the chamber. "Stallion's magic with these things. Can see why Berry likes him."
[22:20] <Mister_Clacky|GM>  The still unnamed critter on Snack_Cake's back curls up in a ball on her back.
[22:22] * Snack_Cake is ready and determined to find Berry. She just got done asserting that she would never turn her back on her friends!
[22:36] <Mister_Clacky|GM>  The group meets back up in the center of town by 'Jack-in-the-Box."
[22:38] * North_Star_ looks at the three ponies plus bat-thing. "We all good to go, I take it?"
[22:38] <Scrap> "What are we going to do if we find her?"
[22:41] * North_Star_ opens the breech of his new shotgun, loading a pair of bean bag rounds into the chambers.
[22:42] <North_Star_> *"If she's fine, we let her know we're worried about her, and that's why we followed. If she's in trouble." He closes the breech with a loud CLACK "We do what we do best."
[22:42] <Mister_Clacky|GM>  The road north calls to them. It's kinda an insistant calling... like a siren song or an alarm clock.
[22:43] * Scrap fortunatly doesn't get the message. His ears flatten. "You don't have a plan, do you?"
[22:44] * North_Star_ turns towards the north gate. "I've got a plan, it just depends on what we see when we get there."
[22:44] * Snack_Cake gives a nod. "If she's in trouble, we have to help her! She's our friend, we have to give her everything we can to help!"
[22:45] <Scrap> "What if she wants to be alone though? What right do we have to bother her if she does? Sometimes the best way to help is to leave someone alone."
[22:49] * North_Star_ looks back at Scrap while he settles the shotgun in it's new home, the sleeve his old shotgun was in. "Spliting the party is never a good idea. I can understand she's going through a lot, but that's no excuse to walk out towards potental danger alone."
[22:52] <Scrap> "But, that was -her- choice. We're not responsible for her choices. She tried to get me to see that before."
[22:52] <Mister_Clacky|GM>  The critter looks over to Thunder_Strike with narrowed eyes. In a flash he's on her! On her back... sniffing at her saddlebags.
[22:53] * North_Star_ stops in his tracks, turning to face Scrap fully. "Elaborate."
[22:55] * Snack_Cake is worried for a moment when the creature jumps at Thunder_Strike... but she smiles a bit and giggles when he starts sniffing around. "I think he likes you, Thunder!"
[22:56] <Scrap> "Before I died, she told me that I was trying too hard to protect her. That I was putting myself at more risk than necessary and getting in the way because of how protective I was. I think I get why now. She went of to be alone and she deserves the ability to. We have no right to barge our way in and tell her how she should react to things." Scrap pauses a moment as he realises that he sounded an aweful lot like his Master the

[22:59] * North_Star_ huffs, the 'read to set out' expression on his face remained unchanged, but inside, his mind was mulling over a few things.
[23:01] <Mister_Clacky|GM>  Slash steps out onto the porch, streching himself out after spending all that time hunched over the workbench. He starts walking across the courtyard to work out the kinks.
[23:04] * Scrap thinks a moment and puts on a determined expression. "I'm staying."
[23:04] * North_Star_ looks down at Scrap, less so than usual, but still down. "You're certain on this?"
[23:07] * Scrap nods. "Yes. I don't want her to hate me anymore. What would she think, if I ignored what she was trying to teach me? I don't want her to be in danger anymore than you do, but she deserves to have the freedom to do what wants. Even if that means going into danger alone."
[23:08] * North_Star_ huffs a second time before looking up at the two mares, and down to Scrap again. "'Ight then...
[23:09] * North_Star_ turns, not towards the gate, but towards the Dining car. "Sorry 'bout the rush, may as well settle yourselves down with supper."
[23:11] * Thunder_Strike freezes. "Snacky? Whats he doing?" Seems alittle freaked out
[23:11] * Scrap 's jaw drops partway. He actually talked North out of doing something...
[23:12] * Snack_Cake giggles. "Do you have food in there? He might be hungry."
[23:14] <Mister_Clacky|GM>  The critter fumbles with Thunder_Strike's saddlebag, managing to get it open. The left bag is pretty empty and he finds his way inside. He struggles a bit, but soon pokes his head up out of the bag. He gives something between a huff and a bark.
[23:16] * Thunder_Strike looks back and giggles alittle. "Thays kinda adorable"
[23:17] * North_Star_ makes his way towards the dining car, with his old 'I need a damn drink' look in his eyes.
[23:18] <Mister_Clacky|GM>  The critter works its little wingclaws over the edge of the bag and looks out. The Dining Car doesn't look too busy.
[23:24] * Snack_Cake smiles. "See Thunder? All you have to do is give him plenty of attention and he'll return the affection right back!"
[23:24] * Scrap looks at the others before walking after North_Star_. He needed to talk to him anyway.
[23:26] * North_Star_ stops just before the door when he hears Scrap's hoofsteps.
[23:29] * Scrap stops a few feet from North_Star_. "Do you want to be alone too? I wanted to talk, but I can wait."
[23:30] <Mister_Clacky|GM>  The critter withdraws, his ears flat so the saddlebag flap drops lower. Only hi eyes are barely visible looking out.
[23:30] * North_Star_ pauses, looking at Scrap with a sigh. "I suppose the whiskey can wait. What's on your mind, Bucko?"
[23:32] <Scrap> "Well, it's about lying and saying I'm Splotches. There's no way we can keep it up. I can't be him."
[23:33] * North_Star_ looks around. "Well, we saw where telling the truth got me.."
[23:34] <Scrap> "We... did?"
[23:37] <North_Star_> "Sheriff said I was drinking too much, sent us on our way."
[23:40] * Scrap thinks a moment. "But, how could we possibly keep up the lie?"
[23:43] * North_Star_ rubs his head. "We'll think of something.. Eventually.. Tonight." He said, offering a smile to Scrap.
[23:44] * Thunder_Strike "yeah i guess. Im still alittle scared of him though."
[23:44] * Scrap 's ears flatten. "But, what am I supposed to do before then?"
[23:45] * Snack_Cake gives Thunder_Strike a hug. "I'm here in case anything happens."
[23:46] * North_Star_ rubbed his head again. "Uh.." He looks towards the inside of the dining car and then turns away. "Come on, I've got something to keep the folks from bothering you."
[23:49] <Mister_Clacky|GM>  The critter does a half flap and tumbles out of the bag. It rolls to its paws and walks on like nothing happened.
[23:49] * Scrap follows him. "What's that?"
[23:49] * North_Star_ heads for the northern portion of Railyard's wall, looking for a way to get as high as he can get.
[23:51] * Scrap follows along, wondering why.
[23:55] <Mister_Clacky|GM>  The Northern wall doesn't have any building except the gatehouse. It's about 15 feet high at the top of it's roof.
[23:56] * North_Star_ huffs, that wouldn't do. He looks up at Toil's apartment, guessing it's hieght.
[00:03] * North_Star_ then lets the prospect of spending a night in the same building as Toil mull over in his head. Changing his mind, he settles for a perch on the wall.
[00:04] * Scrap continues to follow. "What are we doing out here?"
[00:06] * North_Star_ makes his way upwards, trying not to disturb anypony inside the gatehouse. "Gonna do what I used to do when friends left town. Wait."
[00:10] <Scrap> "But, how's that going to help with the lie?"
[00:12] * North_Star_ looks back at Scrap. "I said we'd think of something. Higher ground helps me think."
[00:14] * Scrap nods. "Ok." He looks out. "I am worried about her."
[00:16] * North_Star_ takes a seat on teh gatehouse's roof, picking up his rifle from his hanging position, "I know. Me too. My leg's bad, and since you opted out, I can't risk the trek with just Snack and Thunder."
[00:17] * Scrap looks at his leg. "What heppend to it?"
[00:19] <North_Star_> "Berry shot it."
[00:21] * Scrap 's jaw drops again, this time all the way. "What!?"
[00:25] * North_Star_ looks over at Scrap. "You didn't notice the bandages?"
[00:27] <Scrap> "I did, but I didn't think that she did it. Why would she do that?"
[00:28] * North_Star_ shrugs. "She's a mean ol' mare. Only shot me once, by the way things felt, almost took the damn thing off."
[00:29] <Scrap> "But, but, she yelled at me when I hit Thunder!"
[00:30] * North_Star_ nods. "Ah, but you jumped and acted in self-defense, she's... Emotional right now.
[00:30] <Mister_Clacky|GM>  The critter sniffs the air. It bolts away from Thunder_Strike and Snack_Cake across the courtyard and towardthe DIning Car.
[00:31] * Thunder_Strike looks around "whered whats his name go snacky?"
[00:33] * Snack_Cake looks to where he bolted off to! "Uh-oh... We have to stay with him. Come on Thunder!" She runs off after him!
[00:34] * Scrap tries to wrap his head around it. "So, I can't stop people from hurting others, but she can hurt people because she's upset?"
[00:35] <Mister_Clacky|GM>  With a beat of his wings he's up and over the dining car!
[00:35] * North_Star_ looks over at Scrap. "To be fair, I kinda blacked out after she shot me. Shock hit me hard, so I didn't have a chance to tell her off."
[00:36] <Mister_Clacky|GM>  The critter disappears from Thunder_Strike and Snack_Cake's sight.
[00:39] * Thunder_Strike "oh i hope he isnt going on a sweetroll raid
[00:40] * Scrap turns away and then back to North_Star_. "It's a good thing we didn't go after her then."
[00:41] * North_Star_ nods, picking up his rifle to look through the scope towards the north. "You said it. It's still light out anyway, I'm sure she'll be fine."
[00:44] * Snack_Cake looks around for a way around the other side. "Can you fly over and find him? I'll try to find a way around!"
[00:44] * Scrap falls silent as he looks out.
[00:47] * Thunder_Strike nods and flies over.
[00:48] * Snack_Cake looks for a way around!
[00:49] <Mister_Clacky|GM>  Snack_Cake can duck between the railcars on the track to get around.
[00:51] <Mister_Clacky|GM>  As Snack_Cake makes her way around, Thunder_Strike can see a patch of blue bolting toward the west wall. She also thinks she hears a faint cry.
[00:53] * Snack_Cake ducks her way under the cars, trying to squirm her way to the other side, with some difficulty.
[00:57] * Thunder_Strike follows after him.
[01:00] <Mister_Clacky|GM>  As Thunder_Strike gets closer to the west wall, she can definitely here a cry. Feeble calls for help and muffled sobs.
[01:02] * North_Star_ scans the horizon before looking over at Scrap's bags. "What's that you got?" He asks regarding the new gun-like shape in Scrap's saddlebags.
[01:04] * Scrap pulls out his new Colt .45 to show North_Star_.
[01:05] <Mister_Clacky|GM>  Snack_Cake can see Thunder_Strike angling toward the west wall.
[01:06] * Thunder_Strike flys faster to the wall hearing the crys.
[01:08] <Mister_Clacky|GM>  Thunder_Strike dives and spots the critter running for some rubble. It starts sniffing around the pile.
[01:09] * North_Star_ nods in approval. "It's hard to find one of those that'll let you down."
[01:09] * Snack_Cake heads toward Thunder_Strike! It looks like she's seen him. Hopefully he doesn't get into trouble...
[01:10] <Mister_Clacky|GM>  When Snack_Cake finally catches sight of Thunder_Strike and the creature-that-apparently-shall-not-be-named, he is scratching at the pile of rubble.
[01:10] <Scrap> "I got some of those special bullets too. The magic kind. They're supposed to do more damage."
[01:11] * North_Star_ chuckles, "More of that can't be a bad thing. At least in your own hooves."
[01:13] <Scrap> "Well, I want to be able to help you guys when I can't fight things up close."
[01:14] * North_Star_ nods. "How about that rifle? Still got it?"
[01:15] * Thunder_Strike looks at him then tries to help him.
[01:16] * Scrap tilts his head. "Rifle? I've never used a rifle."
[01:17] <Mister_Clacky|GM>  Thunder_Strike hears crying as she digs. After shifting some rocks theres a something soft, orange, and scared caught below. "H-help.."
[01:17] * North_Star_ shakes his head. "The one you got from the storage car."
[01:17] <Scrap> "Oh, yeah. It's back at the clinic."
[01:18] * North_Star_ nods. "Gotta learn how to hold it sometime.."
[01:19] <Scrap> "You want me to have it?"
[01:19] <Mister_Clacky|GM>  Snack_Cake arrives just as Thunder_Strike gets a big piece of concrete out of the way.
[01:20] * North_Star_ pats the rifle in his hooves. "I'm happy with this one. I don't think Berry'd like it."
[01:22] <Mister_Clacky|GM>  A weak voice comes out of the hole. "H-help... please?"
[01:22] * Snack_Cake gasps and immediately starts helping Thunder_Strike! "Hello? Can you hear me? We're gonna help you out!" She helps lift the pieces Thunder_Strike tries to pull away.
[01:22] <Scrap> "Why's that?"
[01:23] * North_Star_ picks up the rifle again, scanning the horizon through his scope. "She's already got a gift from Splotches, don't think she'll take another."
[01:26] <Mister_Clacky|GM>  As Thunder_Strike and Snack_Cake make the hole bigger, they can see more of the foal trapped in the rubble. They start to free him.
[01:27] * Scrap nods, putting his .45 away. "Do you think she hates me?"
[01:30] * North_Star_ lowers his rifle and sighs. "It's not that she hates /you/, it's... You remind her of Splotches, and the fact that Splotches is no longer with us." He pats Scrap on the back. "Pony can only lose so many to the wastes before it takes a toll on their hearts, Bucko.
[01:32] * Snack_Cake keeps talking as she helps Thunder_Strike move the rubble. "Don't worry! We've got you. You're gonna be alright!"
[01:32] <Mister_Clacky|GM>  With a bit more work, it looks like the colt could be pulled free.
[01:33] * Scrap nods again. "Yeah..."
[01:39] * Snack_Cake tries to help the colt free. "Come on, you can make it!"
[01:40] * North_Star_ pats his back. "Time heals all wounds, but I think this one's cut pretty deep... Give her time."
[01:41] <Scrap> "That's also why I didn't want to go after her today."
[01:42] <Mister_Clacky|GM>  Snack_Cake pulls the colt free, his hind leg is bloody and he's whimpering as he gets free.
[01:42] * North_Star_ nods. "Good call.."
[01:44] <Scrap> "I hope she agrees. I hope I made the right choice.
[01:44] <Scrap> "
[01:44] * North_Star_ settles his rifle in his hooves again, looking down the scope on more time. "You thinkin' of hittin' the sack when it gets dark?"
[01:45] <Mister_Clacky|GM>  The critter whines and looks up at the injured colt.
[01:46] * Scrap looks around, suddenly realizing something. "Hey, I don't think it's really bright anymore."
[01:47] * North_Star_ makes a noise of agreement. "You see any muzzle flashes out there?"
[01:48] * Scrap looks out. "No."
[01:49] <Scrap> "Everything still looks weird now though."
[01:50] * Snack_Cake gently sets the colt down gently, looking him over carefully. "Don't worry, we're gonna help you..." She doesn't really know what to do for him, besides give a potion... She wishes Berry was here!
[01:50] * North_Star_ settles down, setting his rifle next to him. "Good sign. Means there's nopony hunting tonight."
[01:51] <Mister_Clacky|GM>  The colt cringes and doesn't put weight on his left hind leg. "Oooowwww... *sniff*"
