Slang Terms

Wondrous: A variant on Emotion Engine weapons, generally crafted by 'monsters'. So named because it seems like a miracle that 'mere beasts' could make such things. Incredibly rare, any being that has one will be a terror to kill. If you don't have one, there are certain people you should not pick a fight with.

The Seething: A gift, and curse, of heredity, it spawns strength at the cost of anger, hot or cold. If not one of a kind, so rare it might as well be.

Headstones: The general means to keep monsters from invading towns are specialized magitech machines that run on stones found in the skulls of many beasts of Ash's world. Hence, Headstones is a general slang term for 'monsters I am going to kill' (whether or not you want said stones).

Violentclad: A manifestation of Aegis arts that allows people to manifest and/or attach offensive armaments to their very skin (think Armament Haki). Not very popular because it tends to hurt. A lot. One needs a really high pain tolerance to make it effective.

Fortunefavored: A strange humanoid species that feeds on blood, and in exchange seems to manipulate probability for anyone it bites so that they will be lucky. It's a mystery where they come from, and opinions on acceptance of them are sharply divided.
