Mamori's VA, Izawa-san did so much of preparation before recording her lines, so when it's time to record, it went so smoothly that I felt there's something missing.

I'm sorry, I did lots of rewind here (bitter smile) it's the first reveal of Shigure Kasumi's face. In the first take somehow she get these really huge breast. Of course there's nothing wrong with that, but sadly it still have to be fixed for consistency. That must be the work of boobs lover animator going out of control.

Drawing Mirei's super long hair was also very difficult. I had to ask for re-draw for couple of times, and even had to re-draw few of them myself. I think it was around the last portion of the first half of the episode.

While getting piggyback from Mirei in the middle of forest, Mamori must have felt really comfortable being buried inside Mirei's fluffy hair. I plainly love that scene.

In Ichiha's drive scene, actually in initial storyboard, she was flowing even more intense than shown, but as expected that one has to be scrapped. It wasn't even shown here...

OPで魅零が複数の柱を歩いているカットがありますが、あれはこの中央広場が沈下して出てくる闘技場の設定でした。ただそのギミックの表現やバトルの重さがさすがに予算と尺をオーバーしてしまい、本編では泣く泣くあきらめています。 #ちちコメ

In the OP there's a cut where Mirei is walking in midst of pillar, that was actually the central area, the arena where they test ability. Originally the central area have those pillars that will be raised when there's battle there. Sadly, utilizing it would require bigger budget, so I tearfully gave up on using it for the main show

I did some supervision on Mamori's drive scene in ep 2. While in ep 1 I let Nozaki-san and other staff for ep 1 to make it. Once I become the supervisor for the, the kiss started to get censored....

I remember we have to re-draw J's upper breast 3 times. The flow start from Keyframe to special boobs craft, aka Nozaki-san and then to me. 'I think the upper part shouldn't be expanded but more like making the line looks like it's doing Sky jump". I really cause the photography staff a great deal of anxiety with that cut.

アームになってからのアクションは倒すまで宇佐美様の担当です。とにかくよく動く。ＯＰでもアクションくるくるされてます。 #ちちコメ

From the Arm transformation into the action and the defeated explosion, all of those were supervised by Usami-sama. Anyhow there's lots of movement. The spinning action in the OP were also supervised by Usami-sama.

人型に戻ってからの魅零の腕の中のまもりを見つめる魅零の眼差し。微妙な差ですが、やわらかい目つきになっているかなと。７話の総作画監督も務められた吉岡様の修正指示は細やかでした。 #ちちコメ

When Mamori transformed back to human in Mirei's arms, there was slight difference in Mirei's gaze there. Somehow it looks softer than usual. Ep 7 gross animation director that also supervise that part, Yoshioka-sama ordered a re-draw of it. He's really mindful of small details.

The OP starts playing in ep 2. The one and only Umetsu Yasuomi also participate in the production since the making of PV. He's in charge of drawing the hand=holding scene before the title card appear. You can recognize that it's him just by that hand he drew.

I love thi scene where Mirei and Mamori hold hands. There's one illustration that will feature the two of them next year, I will make sure to include the hand-holding.

おシャル役の瀬戸様の演技はほんと楽しいですね。オーディションの時より低くなっているのですが、「～さｱん」「～よぉ？」などは最初からこのイメージでズバ抜けて印象深くて、全員一致ですぐに決まりました。 #ちちコメ

O'Charl' VA, Seto-sama's acting were really fun. The voice was lowered since the audition, but the way she said '-sa~n' and 'yo~?' left a lasting impression that the decision was unanimously made on the spot.

怯えながらも発揮されるまもりの芯の強さ、はたぶんに構成脚本の黒田様の遺伝子が濃いですよね。僕に一番しっくりくるまもりは３話かなと思ったりします。 #ちちコメ

Even when she's clearly scared, Mamori still let her feelings known. This new strength of hers was probably born from Kuroda-sama script composition that's filled with his personality and style. I think this is my favorite Mamori scene.

Of course ep 3 was strong to the core. I supervised ep 3 storyboard pretty close, so maybe that's just me.

コメディっぽい台詞をまもりが言い出すと「ああ、黒田さんのまもりだなぁ」という。「きのこのこ～」と歌いだすとあの人ですね（笑 #ちちコメ

Whenever Mamori said comedy-like lines I always thought 'ah that's Kuroda-san's Mamori'. It's really like him to made a song that goes 'this little mushroom'

魅零の行動についてはコンテで結構修正しました。間を作らせず、人より１，２テンポ先にアクションを起こすように１話からも気をつけています。 #ちちコメ

Mirei's action here need lots of adjusting in the storyboard. Without using inbetween, the tempo was changed so that even though she's alone, her action would look faster. There are a lot of adjusting for Mirei's action since the first episode.

レイン、美鳳のおtkbは、２話でお披露目する予定はありませんでした。１話の暴走アニメーターさんがまたやらかしてくれました(笑 #ちちコメ

Rain and Meifon's tkb were not supposed to be revealed in ep 2. It's the work of that animator that went berserk in ep 1 (lol)

Obviously the nipples's colors are differentiated so we can tell whose nipples is that at a glance, so it takes time to get it fixed

tkbで思い出したのですが、今回は撮影処理でブラシを一枚一枚吹いています。メインキャラのみに絞っていますが、撮影様にも感謝であります。 #ちちコメ

The nipples reminded me of this, in the filming process we keep adding things, even though it's only limited to main characters, I really can't thank the filming team enough.

It;s censored so myabe no one realized this but Mamori's tkb is moving here. That one is actually a mistake by the outsourced company, but because the timing was so perfect, I asked for Nozaki-san approval and left it like that.

レディ・レディの、Jがちょっとムッと振り向くカットもそういえば監修したおぼえがあります。あの二人の雰囲気はどうも現場にうまく伝わらず、以降も調整しています。 #ちちコメ

I also supervised Lady Lady make out scene, where J turned around sullenly to face Meifon. The atmosphere between those two were very hard to be transmitted to the staff, so I have to add some adjustment for it.

３話以降の二人の「さん」付けも、コンテで足させて頂きました。自分の中で魅零とまもりが固まったのかなと。 #ちちコメ

I've had the privilege of adding the scene in ep 3 where Mamori called Mirei without honorific. To me, that scene is where the bond between Mirei and Mamori was solidified.

People that have watched it must be confused as well. 'Mi-Mirei..is that really you?' 'Wait, what even Mamori????'. I was taken aback too.

あげく○き毛ネタまでぶち込んでくる黒田さんのシナリオ、毎度毎度冷や汗が止まりません…。基本的なオーダー（まもりが魅零を攻める）通りではあったのですが、想像をナナメ上に超えすぎていた魅零とまもりのテンションに、さすがの僕も実は、一度ＮＧを出しました（笑　#唐突な乳揉め

Kuroda-san's scenario  that boldly used with the **mpits hair joke never fails to made worried.  The basic order where Mamori becoming the aggressive one were followed but the actual script went over my expectation with those tension between Mirei and Mamori. So even I have to stop going through with it (lol)

次に頂いた修正稿はほんとにまともな二人の、ほんわかした内容でした。○き毛なんて一本も出てきません。ガツンしたショックはないものの、二人らしさがあったので決定となりました。　#唐突なちちコメ

The next script submitted to me was totally different from the first. It has MireMamo doing warm and snuggly thing, with no mention of **mpits in sight. Whilethe script lack shocking element, I decided to go on with this script because the two of them were very in-character.

ただ、「まもりが魅零を攻める」という一点において、修正稿は正直インパクトに欠けていました。今思えば、黒田さんの戦略だったのかもしれません。もやもやしながらコンテが上がるのを待ち、いざチェックを始めたら、のけぞりました。「魅零の○○毛が描いてある！？？」 #唐突なちちコメ

Still, with 'Mamori being aggresive' point discarded, the second script really lacks a good impact. Now that I think about it, it might've been Kuroda-san strategy from the very beginning. I'm in a dilemma while waiting for the storyboard to be finished so I can check it. And when I started checking it, I was absolutely shocked 'Why the hell there's Mirei's ****** hair here?!'

なんとも思わぬ手違いで、初稿でコンテが上がってきてしまったのですね。一瞬頭を抱えましたが、やはり面白い。でもわ○毛。でもインパクトあるし、でも○き毛が…魅零の…主役の女の子の１５歳のそんなバカナ…　#唐突なわき毛

That was such an unexpected mistake, and the storyboard was passed through just like that. For a moment, I really though that it was interesting, but then there's ar**its hair. On the other hand it's actually have a proper impact, but again the **mpits hair...Mirei's... Showing that.. of the protag, the 15 years old girl is unthinkable....

しかし制作スケジュールはもう迫っており、やたらハイテンションで「誰なんだお前は」なまもりの芝居を可能な限りらしく可愛く修正し、アフレコでもそのように芝居してもらって完成したのでした。元のままだったら、まもりがただの…になるところでした（汗　#唐突なまもりパイセン

Because there's little to no time left in the schedule, I adjusted Mamori's acting to be cuter while keeping in mind to always keep it in character.
