Little King's Story Any% Route (Beginner)

Notes: This is a new speed game. Therefore, the routes and strategies for this route and others are subject to change. I will do my best to keep runners notified on changes but I strongly recommend looking over the route before attempting any runs.

1) Cow Bones
- Begin new file at any difficulty (recommend easy)
- Watch beginning cutscene. Talk to Howser and immediately talk to Verde and Liam.
- Sit on throne and listen to Howser
- Add 5 carefree adults to the royal guard to complete the treasure hunt (SW corner – Turnip Forest – Behind Castle)
- Go back to throne and purchase Guard House (AAdAABB)
- Begin next day by making 5 Grunt Soldiers
- Collect treasure in Turnip Forest. Buy Farm House (AAAABB)
- Begin next day by making 2 Farmers from 2 Carefree Adults.
- Take a royal guard of 3 Grunt Soldiers and 2 Farmers to Onii Grounds to collect treasure
- Return to throne to build Town Square (AAddAABB)
- Go to sleep and begin next day by accepting the Cow Bones suggestion
- Take a royal guard of 5 Grunt Soldiers to Graveyard to fight Cow Bones.
- Defeat Cow Bones

2) Onii Man
- Watch cutscene and accept Giant Frog suggestion
- Defeat the Giant Frog
- Purchase 3x Guard Badges/Carpenter Hut/Red House/Blue House/Yellow House/Soup Church/Podium Placement
- Assemble a royal guard of 4 grunt soldiers, 2 Farmers, and 2 Carpenters
- Build bridge to Onii Grounds
- Push through the Onii and rocks until you reach the Onii Man
- Fight Onii Man after digging up precious treasure
- Defeat Onii Man

3) Onii King

- Watch cutscene. Purchase 4x Guard Badges/Lumberjack Hut
- Assemble a royal guard of 7 Grunt Soldiers, 2 Farmers, 2 Carpenters, and 1 Lumberjack
- Travel to Onii Gorunds, build small staircase to glowing hole while destroying large tree, ignore said glowing hole and proceed to the hole containing precious treasure and a couple of Onii.
- Collect the precious treasure
- Proceed to Onii King while healing your guard when necessary
- DO NOT collect the God Memo and enter Onii King battle
- Watch cutscene and begin fight
- Bum rush Onii King from behind the center logs
- Collect King's Gold and break vase

4) First Guardian Grind
- Watch cutscene before accepting Mushroom and Bezerker Knight Suggestion
- Bring the "Battle Team" to fight the Mushroom Guardian
- Defeat the Mushroom
- Bring the royal guard used to fight Onii King to fight Bezerker Knight
- While building staircase to Bezerker knight, use grunt soldiers to collect timber
- Enter fight towards the area he'll walk towards
- Fight the knight
- Accept the Ogre and Owl Hag Suggestions then purchase Guard Badges x5
- Call 5 Carefree Adults and convert them into 5 Grunt Soldiers
- Bring the royal guard to fight the Owl Hag *Note: this fight has the potential to give pretty bad rng. It is my suggestion to only try to topple the totem poles on her third appearance for beginners*
- Defeat the Hag
- Bring the royal guard to fight the Ogre *Note: when he throws the ax, be sure to keep a good distance between the Ogre and your king. His charge attack has the potential to really do damage to your guard possibly killing the 3HP members*

5) Duvroc
- Purchase Straw Roof House/Stone Cutting Plant/Furniture Factory/Veteran's Barracks
- Call royal guard
- Convert 2 Grunt Soldiers into 2 Ripped Miners and 2 Carpenters into 2 Mega Carpenters
- Convert 5 Grunt Soldiers into 5 Hardened Soliers
- Convert 1 Grunt Soldier into 1 Buff Lumberjack
- In case you need this: (5 Hardened Soldier, 4 Grunt Solider, 2 Farmer, 2 Miner, 2 Lumberjack, 2 Mega Carpenter)
- Proceed to Sunflower Plains
- Follow the raised platform until the last giant rock. Drop down to the left and break the large tree instead
- It is my best advice that you defeat the melons before attempting to build the bridge (this wastes about 10 seconds but saves a good deal of chaos)
- Build bridge and just walk past King Game Club
- Proceed to Boney Tunnel entrance and enter the Kingdom of the Jolly
- Build bridge to Duvroc *Note: a giant frog will appear as soon as a carpenter touches the sign. Be ready*
- DO NOT collect God Memo and enter Duvroc fight
- Collect treasures and break vase

6) Shiskebaboo
- Watch Cutscenes
- Purchase Guard Badges x6/Royal Tower
- Assemble: 5 Hardened Soldiers, 4 Grunt Soldiers, 2 Lumberjacks, 2 Miners, 1 Farmer, 9 Carefree Adults
- Convert 7 lower HP Carefree Adults into Ripped Miners and 2 Higher HP Carefree Adults to Hardened Soldier
- Cut through Kingdom of the Jolly to Kingdom of the Ripe
- Break through all obstacles to Shiskebaboo fight
- Fight the Fat Man *Note: the fight becomes easier with practice and getting a feel for the mechanic. I recommend that any beginning runner practice this fight before attempting runs*
- Collect Treasure and break vase

7) Second Guardian Grind
- Watch a ridiculous amount of cutscenes
- Go outside immediately after waking up
- Talk to Skinny Ray
- Purchase Culinary Academy
- Sit on throne and accept Red Turnip Suggestion and a God Suggestion
- Assemble a royal guard of 7 Hardened Soldiers, 4 Grunt Soldiers, 1 Farmer, 2 Lumberjack, 2 Mega Carpenters, and 7 Miners
- Build bridge near Royal City while collecting plant items while waiting
- Convert 1 Miner to 1 Chef
- Fight the Vegetable
- Mash through small cutscene
- Purchase Defend Formation/Evade Formation/Calisthenics Ethic/Hunter Hut
- Accept Blue Dragon Suggestion as well as a God Suggestion
- Assemble Guard
- Convert 5 Miners and 1 Grunt Soldier into 6 Animal Hunters
- Collect Gold Bar and defeat the "final guardian"

7) Omelet
- Purchase Giga Grinder/Modify Podium
- Assemble royal guard of 7 Hardened Soldiers, 2 Grunt Soldiers, 2 Farmer, 1 Lumberjack, 2 Mega Carpenters, 2 Miners, 1 Chef, and 6 Animal Hunters
- Convert 2 Mega Carpenters and 1 Grunt Solider to 3 Giga Carpenters
- Proceed to either Boney Tunnel Entrance Kingdom shortcut
- Break Giant Rock and walk through Boney Tunnel
- Proceed to Worrywart Kingdom *Note: if your guard is badly injured, there is a hot springs near the giant rock surrounded by chickens*
-Navigate through maze. DO NOT collect God Memo. Fight Omelet

QUESTION 6: Whose voice is this? Once again, practice. If you're down to like two or three consider talking to the statues. Losing time from talking to them is less than the consequence of an incorrect answer.

QUESTION 9: Someone is this land's big problem. Who is it? Attack the egg in the middle
- Collect the three gold stars and treasure. Break the vase.

5) TV Dinnah
- Watch cutscenes
- Purchase Shopping Arcade. Accept God Suggestion
- Assemble royal guard of 7 Hardened Soldiers, 1 Grunt Soldiers, 2 Farmer, 1 Lumberjack, 3 Giga Carpenters, 2 Miners, 1 Chef, and 6 Animal Hunters
- Convert 2 Animal Hunters to 2 Farmers. Convert 2 Animal Hunters to 2 Merchants
- Convert 1 Grunt Soldier to 1 Miner
- Use Worrywart Kingdom as a shortcut to get to skull plains
- Break the giant rock and head toward the TV warp to Prime Time Kingdom

- Collect three gold stars and treasure. Break vase.

6) God collection and Long Sauvage Prep *Note: By accepting God UFO, Shizuka will appear at the castle bridge. So you have as much time as you want to complete the following tasks so long as you can get to the bridge by 8pm. Do your absolute best not to lose any guard members. It isn't the end of the world if you do but it causes slight time loss in later segments.*
- Watch cutscenes
- Purchase 7x Guard Badges. Accept 2 God Suggestions
- Assemble a royal guard of 7 Hardened Soldiers, 4 Farmer, 1 Lumberjack, 3 Giga Carpenters, 3 Miners, 1 Chef, 2 Merchants, and 2 Animal Hunters
- Head to the area where you fought the Onii King and complete God Paper
- Travel to the Kingdom of the Jolly and complete God Booze. You DO NOT have to fight the marvel dragon. Be careful of the tail attack.
- Travel across Boney Tunnel Entrance to Kingdom of the Jolly to complete God Food Store. You DO NOT have to defeat the Giant Beetle. Much less dangerous than the dragon.
- Return to castle and heal your guard. Use Worrywart Kingdom as a short cut to get to the Primetime Kingdom as you did before.

- Return to castle. Assemble a royal guard of 3 Giga Carpenters, 2 Animal Hunters, 2 Merchants, 4 Miners, 1 Farmer, 1 Chef, and 4 Hardened Soldiers (if you want to be safe).
- Convert 2 Merchants and 1 Animal Hunter to 3 Lumberjacks
- Convert 1 Animal Hunter to 1 Chef
- Wait until 8pm! Take a very well earned bathroom/water break (just stretch your legs!)
- Talk to Shizuka for the first time

7) Long Sauvage
- Use Worrywart Kingdom as a shortcut to reach skull plains
- Push past the Undead Dragon and the Onii Balls to reach a bridge
- Build bridge and proceed to Tiptoe Kingdom (If your guard is hurting there is hot springs outside the Tiptoe Kingdom)
- DO NOT collect the God Memo and fight Long Sauvage
- Defeat Long Sauvage and collect treasure. Break vase

8) God Mountain - New Island *Note: By accepting God UFO, Shizuka will appear at the castle bridge. So you have as much time as you want to complete the following tasks so long as you can get to the bridge by 8pm. Do your absolute best not to lose any guard members. It isn't the end of the world if you do but it causes slight time loss in later segments.*
- Watch cutscenes
- Accept God Beard Suggestion
- Assemble a royal guard of all you native Alpoko citizens. This means all 30 without the Eggan or Broadcaster.
- Convert 2 Grunt Soldiers and 4 Lumberjacks to 6 Animal Hunters
- Convert 4 Miners, 2 Farmers, and 3 Carefree Adults to 9 Hardened Soldiers
- Convert 2 Farmers to 2 Giga Carpenters
- Royal Guard Check: 16 Hardened Soldiers, 1 Farmer, 6 Animal Hunters, 2 Chefs, and 5 Giga Carpenters
- I strongly suggest defeating the Onii Balls on the way to Tiptoe Kingdom. It will make your life easier on a non Shizuka segment
- Make your way back to Tiptoe Kingdom. The large sign should be toppled over. Proceed to the glowing hole and dig up the ship part
- Make your way to the bridge to New Island kingdom. Build bridge. *Note: there is a frog on the way to this bridge, be ready and fight the frog. This will make things easier later on.*
- Trample New Island Kingdom killing nearly everything in your path. This will make things easier for you later (leave the first Onii Fan alone as you can get a speed boast by pressing against the breeze)
- Stop fight outside Jumbo Champloon and return to castle
- Wait until 8pm! Take a very well earned bathroom/water break (just stretch your legs!)
- Talk to Shizuka for the secomd time
- Go to bed! (if you do not, Shizuka will not come out for the third time when we want her too)

9) Jumbo Champloon
- Assemble your royal guard and head to New Island Kingdom the same way you did earlier
- Push through New Island Kingdom (Avoid battling as many enemies as possible as you are being timed in this segment)
- DO NOT collect the God Memo, fight Jumbo Champloon!
- Collect treasure and break vase

10) Final Countdown *Note: By accepting God UFO, Shizuka will appear at the castle bridge. So you have as much time as you want to complete the following tasks so long as you can get to the bridge by 8pm. Do your absolute best not to lose any guard members. It isn't the end of the world if you do but it causes slight time loss in later segments.*
- Watch the huge cutscene
- Accept the God Forecast Suggestion
- Assemble your 30 member royal guard
- Convert 6 Animal Hunters, 2 Chefs, 5 Giga Carpenters to 13 Hardened Soldiers (29 Hardened Soldiers, 1 Farmer)
- Head back to the Jumbo Champloon area to complete God Forecast
- Return to castle
- Wait until 8pm! Take a very well earned bathroom/water break (just stretch your legs!)
- Talk to Shizuka for the third time to complete the God UFO
- Go to bed
- Wake up and head over to the launch site
- You must pick a princess. Apricot has a relatively small amount of text and is the first one on the list so I recommend picking Apricot.
- Travel to the edge of the universe!

11) The Utopia of Troll Logic (Otherwise known as the Rat King)
- Talk to your princess 8 times. Just follow your princess around the bedroom until the beginning of the rat fight.
- At the beginning of the rat fight, immediately create a hot spring. The rat fight is largely repetitive so I recommend practicing before attempting runs.
- Watch credits and stop your timer as soon as the word "fin" appears on the final screen.
