We have a biased Captain that promotes his friends. Like. Pierce only CAME BACK a day ago and he can put in such a reason?
Reason for promotion: Outstanding quality in Sergeant Asessment, a formidable member of the department and has prospered in her SLO role. - For the record. Melanie was an SLO for only 4 DAYS. How is that long enough to say that somebody is worthy of being a Sergeant? I personally haven't seen her do a thing that SLOs normally would do except just riding around with Heather all day long.
So if you don't mind I would also like to know what was so OUTSTANDING that Melanie did in those 4 DAYS to earn the Sergeant rank.
Melanie's promotion history:
POI > POII - 28th of March (( Under the old name of Anissa Hawkins ))
POII > POIII - 10th of April
POIII > SLO - 15th of April
SLO > Sergeant - 19th of April
Well. Looks like it took Melanie to get from POII to Sergeant in a total of-.... 3 WEEKS? I personally had to wait 1 MONTH to even get promoted from POII to POIII and I had people telling me that I deserved it way earlier. So how does this situation make it fair for me and other people who had to wait longer time to get promoted? For the record - I think I got my POII rank around the time of 14th of March. I have been working my ass off every day except the past few days when I was busy with IRL things. Melanie has only passed me by 1 Duty Report in that time yet today on 19th of April I am still a POIII when she is Sergeant EVEN though she got her POII rank 2 weeks later than I did. That doesn't sound really fair aswell, does it now?
Apparently Melanie is such an "Outstanding Officer and Supervisor" ((According to Pierce apparently because he was the one to make the promotion post)) that she goes from POIII to Sergeant in just 9 days when before it took people MONTHS to go so high up.
Like. This shit is so unorganized... We had a bomb threat situation yesterday. Miles was the only one who responded from the SWAT team if I recall correctly and went inside alone. None of the SWAT members were called in. What's the point of having SWAT Team if it's not used in ANY way even for such situations? Also I joined SWAT a week or two ago. There has not been ANY SWAT training yet. How are we supposed to work in team without training?
Hell we would still have a Sergeant Team that would act like they're a regular Patrol Officers if it wasn't for Cambridge who actually saw the problem and tried to fix it.
This is just for the record of unorganized topic - I made an SLO application a few days ago when Gordon left. One guy made his 1-2 days after I did. He already got promoted to SLO when I haven't even got a response on my SLO application?
I'm okay with HC/C being a friend circle if they're actually doing stuff right. But promoting your friends just cause you know them not cause they actually do stuff is stupid in my opinion. Like. Melanie joined PD 1-2 weeks after me. She got CKed once aswell and reinstated back as POII yet she is already SGT and I'm still a POIII with the SLO app that probably has not even been reviewed. If I'm correct Pierce also gave Melanie an SLO Application to fill out before it was even published on the forums. I've been in the PD for almost 3 years now on various servers. I even led PD myself. This is honestly the worst organisation I've ever seen in the PD. You're the Chief which means that everything that happens in the Department is supposed to go through you. But as I see it now not even promotions go through you. Pierce doesn't even care to speak to his Assistant C/O of the CPD before promoting someone. He just straight up goes and promotes them. I know that he's the Captain and all but he still needs to consult with people before making key decisions? So after all this said here. I can't see how Pierce is capable of fullfilling his role as a Captain and Commanding Officer of the Patrol Bureau. Oh and I heard that IA was invite only and Pierce was leading it. So it makes sense for Melanie to be in the IA right? It's just. The amount of unfairness between those two is so absurd. There are people that are more than capable enough of being a Sergeant or IA. But Melanie gets it within the few days when before people would spend WEEKS and MONTHS to even achieve something like that. Also. I would like to know how promoting works in the LSPD. Because from the looks of things it's not by "Hard Work and Dedication". Pierce is also walking around in a SWAT Armour all day long even when patrolling. Now if I recall correctly SWAT Armour (TYPE4) was only to be used in SWAT situations? So why is he walking around in it all day?
