  1. <ThePolice> He counts every low bump and turn carefully as the van travels over the wet pavement, the sounds of rain and storm barely echoing in from the reinforced body of his prison. His thoughts drift as he counts, 'how long has been counting? how many days?' When an answer doesn't come to him he returns to counting, now doubled. A list of names, and a list of numbers
  2. <ThePolice> There is a hard turn and the van comes off pavement onto a stretch of dirt road, the mud making a peculiar sound as he listens to the wheelwells turning. This road is remembered. The counting resumes, and again the van takes a turn, onto pavement.
  3. <ThePolice> He loses interest in the bumps, the jingling of his chains. He lifts his head and looks at the man across from his, gun in hand, face covered in protective wards. He thinks about probing his dreams, and remembers what happens when he does that. He turns down to his shoes again, ugly, ratty things. So worn by such a short time in labor.
  4. <ThePolice> Dust and blood and more unnamable things caked into the seams of the once respectable pair of brown boots. 'How did they get so dirty?' he strains to remember, and cant. The van begins to slow, and for a time he hears talking, two men, definitely guard and driver. He tries to remember where he was going. He cant remember.
  5. <ThePolice> There is a distant straining, the sound of metal on metal, wheels turning on tiny bars, and truts rubbing, lubricated by only rain. It is a nauseous racket, and he visibly winces as he hears it. The man across from him, 'Is he a guard? Is he guarding me?' he cant remember, stands, laying a hand on a hold on the ceiling.
  6. <ThePolice> "Up. We are here." he says. The voice is familiar. 'Why is it familiar?' He cant remember, but he stands, the words still have meaning, if nothing else. Slinging his weapon, the man takes his hand, and leads him slowly, feebly to the door. The rain has picked up, and as the back door swings, the three men there are drenched, even as the third holds an
  7. <ThePolice> umbrella for him. That is nice.
  8. <Kioku> It is a gleeful Akemi who wanders the grounds of the school, curious and annoyed at the alterations to the walls. Stupid razor wire. One might ask why she is gleeful, then? Why quite simply, because she heard thunder earlier, and /LOVES/ storms. She spins to face Wendy, laughing as she dances through the falling rain.
  9. <ThePolice> 'Who are these men?' He thinks, looking over their darkened forms. Thick body armor, holstered sidearms, that same strange head apparatus, that he knows is for him. 'Why is it for him?' He cant remember. The man holding his hand steps down first and helps him down, slowly, and carefully, because that's the way the counselor likes it. 'Why do they want me to
  10. <ThePolice> be slow?' He cant remember, but he reaches the muddy ground, and stands, staring blankly, and the two men aside the one with the umbrella climb inside the van, and one rapps on the side loudly. At this command the van rides off, the two giving silent stares to his back. He doesn't notice them. 'Is it safe to come out?' he wonders, and knows better.
  11. <SavanahHolland> Wendy follows Akemi along with a few giggles, covered head to toe with thick clothes, not ready to have a repeat of that one afternoon, though it's enough to join Akemi with a grin.
  12. <ThePolice> The two men position themselves at his sides, the man with the umbrella awkwardly trying to center it over him. One of them speaks. "To the front office, nice and easy." and begins to lead him across the yard. It looks familiar. He remembers why.
  13. <Kioku> Despite her warm native climate, Akemi seems to enjoy the rain a lot more than she's bothered by the cold. Oddly, if someone observes closely, they'll notice that the occasional raindrop slides right /through/ her body instead of hitting it. She takes Wendy's hand and is about to skip over to somewhere else when she spots... \Who's that? Someone new? He looks so sad... was he one of the kidnapped?\ "Wendy... new person. But
  14. <Kioku> he's got a lot more guards on him than usual, and didn't come on the bus."
  15. <SavanahHolland> Wendy gives Akemi's hand a squeeze, letting a few giggles come out before she notices as well. The boy walking through the courtyard to the office, she remembered him, just barely. She moves to face his direction, her smile dulling at the ammount of guards, looking through her mind to remember. "He's not new.." she says under her breath, the raindrops hitting her face as she wipes them away with her scarf.
  16. <ThePolice> He marches quietly through the water around his feet, his eyes ahead, as the two men keep him in lockstep to the front office, but at this rate it seems it will take a few minutes to get there.
  17. <Kioku> \They're moving reeeally slow... are they worried that he's dangerous? Is it the wet ground?\ "He's... not?" Akemi gives Wendy a confused look and takes a couple of steps toward the march with a headtilt, nabbing Wendy's hand. "Do you know him?"
  18. <SavanahHolland> Jackie, Wendy knew very little people with the J name, or at least remembered. But she did now remember. A word slipping through her lips like silk, the boy that she had tried to help once. "Jan." she then slowly moves, to where they were moving, keeping her distance but gliding along with each step, still facing the heavily guarded boy.
  19. <Kioku> Akemi follows Wendy, unsure what to make of this. She knows him. She doesn't want to talk about him. But she's following him. And he hasn't been around... and he's guarded... is he someone from her past, before Sunnybrook, only just now found? Or is there something else going on here?
  20. <ThePolice> He stops, as his new friends do. One talking into a headset, and the man with the umbrella looking toward the two girls. He speaks to him, "Do you think you can be nice?" He thinks 'What does he mean? Am I a bad person?' he cant remember. Still looking to the office, he slowly, almost mechanically looks to the man with the umbrella. He nods softly.
  21. * Endorb (Mibbit@synIRC-48C8BE9D.abhsia.telus.net) has joined
  22. <ThePolice> "I am a nice person. I like making friends." The man on the radio nods at something, and shoots a glance Jan doesnt see to the man with the umbrella. They both nod. "Alright. consider this part of your training." The two men, step back, and one takes out a pack of cigarettes, they both watch as the girls approach Jan who is now alone, in the rain, and staring
  23. <SavanahHolland> Wendy looks different from her and Jan's very few past encounters, back when she was new and had no one close to her. She was different, her hair by now her jet black hair cut very short. The coils of pigtails chopped off from her self destructive moment of weakness. Bundled up tightly in winter clothing. A almost dangerous glint in her eye as she approaches him, Jan. The nightmares of ash that she had gotten after a
  24. <SavanahHolland> ll that had happened. That she had told no one after falling into a dark abyss they all called sleep.
  25. <ThePolice> Jan is a ghost. He is haunting to and painful to look at, especially with the rain exacerbating how thin and tall he has become, having apparently hit a growth spurt, he is now much taller, and exceedingly thin. His clothes clinging tightly to his frame, a pair of grey jumpers over a grey shirt, that look very new, show just how thin, he doesn't look like he
  26. <ThePolice> should be alive. His hair is different, no longer the ratty ponytail, but cut very short, and laid heavily against his head by the rain, but his eyes. Those same sleep deprived, piercing eyes, are still there.
  27. <Kioku> Akemi wants to pause, confused at the guards' behavior. Weren't they taking him to be processed or something? Why did they back off? But as Wendy presses on, so shall she. This /is/ a chance to meet a new friend, after all... though Wendy's demeanor indicates that she sees him as anything but that.
  28. <ThePolice> He stares, a distant empty stare into Wendys eyes as she approaches, his hands at his side, and stock still, not even swaying with the light winds.
  29. <ThePolice> Slowly he raises a hand and waves, small modicums of humanity seeping through his grim visage.
  30. <SavanahHolland> Wendy faces Jan in the rain, for the first time since she had broken the mirror that reflected back at her tauntingly, she felt alone. Water sliding down her face as she looks at the pitiful boy. Slowly pulling off one of her two scarves, the one under the beige one looked to be blue and mostly dry as a few droplets hit it. Moving closer to him to them moves to put the scard around him, saying rather coldly despite h
  31. <SavanahHolland> er perhaps even warm actions "Hello Jan."
  32. <ThePolice> Jan doesn't physically react as Wendy puts the scarf around his neck. He only stares, the rain running slowly down his cheek, you could swear he was crying, but it would be impossible to tell. "Hello Wendy." he pauses, some ancient engine turning over trying to start, before the pistons catch. He gives her a soft smile. "Did you enjoy the photo album?"
  33. <ThePolice> He slowly pans his gaze to the girl aside her. "And its very nice to meet you too miss." He says, holding the same soft smile. For Wendy, she would notice something distinctly wrong. Its not the same smile.
  34. <Kioku> Akemi is still confused, certainly... this isn't the warm Wendy she knows, but her actions... she sighs, it covering an intake of air that tries to understand what she's feeling. She smiles back at Jan, genuinely. "Please, call me Akemi. It's nice to meet you too." She offers a short bow, and a hand.
  35. <SavanahHolland> Wendy tucks the scarf so it can at least warm him a little, a soft smile comming on to her as she remembers the small kindness the boy had once offered her. "I did." she says softly "I still have it." she then steps back, looking over the pitiful boy still. His smile, she had remembered it, like a faint whisper to the wind. It was wrong.
  36. <ThePolice> He slowly takes her hand and shakes it. "It is very nice to meet you Akemi." His stare intensifies. "Have you been to the dollhouse?" he says quietly. Just above a mutter, a twitch in his eyebrow, and he rectracts his hand. Returning his eyes to Wendy. "Thats nice. I remember you being taller than me though." He says looking down at her.
  37. <ThePolice> "I guess Ive changed a lot too." He says this last part quietly, a twitch in his shoulder. The two men behind extinguish their cigarettes and the man with the radio begins saying something we cant hear.
  38. <Kioku> \Dollhouse?\ Akemi shakes her head slightly, the handshake lasting just as long as hers usually do.
  39. <ThePolice> Jan shoots a glance to Akemi as she shakes a no. A twitch in the leg. "I suppose you are all doing well, enjoying school. Except this awful rain." He says, still devoid of humanity, his face frozen in expression, clothes soaked completely, now including the scarf.
  40. <SavanahHolland> Wendy almost shivers, she knew very little of Jan, from before. Before everything that's happened, before she had people to really call close friends, before all the pain and suffering. The dreams of ashes almost seemed childish compaired to the new horrors that now haunted her. She doesn't react to his strange words, inside she really wasn't sure what to say, or even feel now. "Are you cold?" she asks the now obviou
  41. <SavanahHolland> sly drenched Jan, it was still cold with a hint of warmth the girl of fire carried with her..
  42. <Kioku> Akemi frowns slighly. Awful rain? Blasphemy!
  43. <ThePolice> "I dont feel cold." He says lifting his arms together and wringing some water out of his sleeve. "I don't feel much of anything." still matching his gaze with Wendy. "Do you know how Lillith has been?" He says, his face going blank, his small smile melting.
  44. <Kioku> Akemi's breath catches at the question. \He knew her too? Then he's definitely from here.\ "She..."
  45. <Kioku> She takes Wendy's hand and grips it tightly. "She escaped. Over the wall. We haven't seen or heard from her in a couple weeks."
  46. <SavanahHolland> The rain hits her cheeks as Wendy goes quiet, the smile leaves her, any emotion of warmth draining from her. The girl that was now gone from her, she knew, or remembered Jan and her were.. close? She could not remember. She continues to look painfully in Jan's eyes, perhaps the two now sharing the lost love of the olive skinned girl. "She is gone." she says quietly, but she still faces him.. what else can she do?
  47. <ThePolice> He turns his head, his shoulders nearly stone still, in a motion that evokes both uncanny horror and primal terror for the unnatural. He stares, for a moment, before you could swear you saw a glimmer in his eyes, and he visibly relaxes. He turns his head now between them mulling over the words. "In all this time, the first good news I've heard." He moves to
  48. <ThePolice> Embrace Wendy in the hug, as a blissful smile crosses his face and his eyes soften, if he was crying before the tears must now be falling without retraint.
  49. <Kioku> Akemi externally shows no sign of discomfort, but internally shivers slightly. She knows that motion. She's /performed/ that motion, and others like it. She's killed things that use it. Akemi squeezes Wendy's hand again, trying to comfort her, hating that the topic was brought up again.
  50. <SavanahHolland> Wendy doesn't move, or react, a dullness forming on her face. How many times she's cried over it, the times she just wished she could forget about everything that's happened. The way that the woman had told her that Lilith was dead. She moves a arm, to hold him back tightly, letting a tinge of a warm, pleasent sensation flow between the three of them. The rain falling down her cheeks to make mock tears, as they strea
  51. <SavanahHolland> med down her face.
  52. <ThePolice> Jan shakes, as the tears stream from him, his composure abandoned for comfort. 'How many times had he known this embrace with different friends and loves?' He doesn't remember. "Shes free. Gone, away from this hell. Thank you. Thank you so much." He shook as he held her tightly, like a child anchoring himself in the world by the force of his meager clutching
  53. <ThePolice> at a mother. Behind him the two men shuffle, one continuing to talk over the radio, and the man with the umbrella, watching on, his own smile painted on his face.
  54. <ThePolice> "Death would be a release from this travesty."
  55. <SavanahHolland> Wendy stays still, her face expressing nothing, despite the boy that clutched to her tightly, and spoke of her love as if she were already dead. Lilith was not dead, she could only tell herself so many times. It was a lie, it was a lie she told herself. It was a lie she had told Lucette, that she had screamed at the woman and the mirror that had mocked her so. She holds him a little tighter, her cheeks red from the t
  56. <SavanahHolland> ears, or no? Was it just rain?
  57. <Kioku> Akemi gently puts her arms around the two of them, but focusing mostly on Wendy. She doesn't know this boy, but if Wendy lets him touch her, he must not be terrible, right?
  58. * DrabberRogue has quit (Quit: Leaving)
  59. <ThePolice> Jan stirs in some dark place, buried for survival, groping at the darkness for purchase to stand. As he holds Wendy, he speaks softly, that only she would hear. "We will all be free soon." At this, he slowly pulls back gently, and stands, a soft smile on his face as he looks between Akemi and Wendy. "I would very much like to see you both more. It comforts me
  60. <ThePolice> to no end to see friendly faces. But I must go."
  61. <Kioku> Akemi glances between Jan and Wendy. \Well, at least he wants to see us again. I'll have to ask Wendy more, since she knows him...\
  62. <Kioku> She nods and gives a small wave. "We'll see you, then."
  63. <SavanahHolland> Wendy's face stays cold, the words echoing in her mind. Free. They will all be free soon. Those were his words. She did not know what he meant, but it echoed through her mind to no end at she steps back. A small smile comming to her rain covered face "Goodbye Jan."
  64. <ThePolice> The men behind him finish their business and the man with the umbrella places a hand on Jans shoulder. "Lets go." He musters a nod to him, and smiles to Wendy as he continues on before turning to the office.
  65. <ThePolice> Matching their steps, he makes it to the office, still wet, and leaving a trail of moisture across the floor as he approaches the front desk, the man with the radio headset presenting a dry manilla folder to the woman behind it.
  66. <SavanahHolland> As soon a Jan truns away her smile leaves her, if it were even real to begin with. The rain still falling on her face, even more droplets added by Wendy herself. Falling to her knees, and staring at the boy's direction. Lilith was dead.
  67. <ThePolice> Jan, stoic and empty stares forward to her as she flips through the pages and presents a sheet and a key, pushing them forward on the desk past the folder, as she continues to read. She then produces a pen and places it. Jan, on instinct takes the pen, the man with the umbrella has now collapsed it, and takes the pen from Jans hand, signing for him and
  68. <Kioku> Akemi follows Wendy, trying to soften her fall, and pulls her up after several moments. "Come on. Let's get cleaned up. A warm shower after the cold rain."
  69. <ThePolice> putting the papers down. "Don't worry about the paperwork." He replies as Jan stares at him, that same dead look. "You did good out there, you have made real progress." He says idly, putting his hand on his shoulder again. "But remember who took you out of the dollhouse. And who puts you back in." Jan stare continues, accompanied by a small nod.
  70. <ThePolice> The man reaches out and takes the key, slipping it into Jans front pocket as the woman finishes reading the papers. "Well these aren't anything special. Ron told me he had the specifications finished last night anyway." the woman says, looking at the man with the umbrella. "Yes, well, its procedure." he responds, she sighs and produces a keychain and a watch
  71. <JackieLegs> Jackie walks into the Office reading a scroll as she goes she looks different since the last time Jan saw her she now has Purple dyed hair with black tips she has what looks to be a cat curled up on her head and is dressed up in a full Ninja outfit, Jackie takes a few steps into the room and rolls up her scroll looking around
  72. <ThePolice> from under the desk and puts them forward, packing away the papers and filing them. "Thats everything." she says to no one in particular. She stares over the desk up at Jan. "Take your things." She says expectantly. Jan can only help to look toward the man with the umbrella, who nods. At this he reaches out and takes the keychain and watch.
  73. <ThePolice> The three of them turn as the doors open and Jan stares at Jackie, his face empty of intent. He does not recognize her.
  74. <JackieLegs> Jackie Looks at the three not having ever seen the two men but something about the boy seemed familiar but she couldn't quite but a finger on it Jackie smiles "Hi have i met you before? you seem offley familiar"
  75. <ThePolice> Jan is a ghost. He is haunting to and painful to look at, especially with the rain exacerbating how thin and tall he has become, having apparently hit a growth spurt, he is now much taller, and exceedingly thin. His clothes clinging tightly to his frame, a pair of grey jumpers over a grey shirt, that look very new, show just how thin, he doesn't look like he
  76. <ThePolice> should be alive. His hair is different, no longer the ratty ponytail, but cut very short, and laid heavily against his head by the rain, but his eyes. Those same sleep deprived, piercing eyes, are still there.
  77. <ThePolice> He stares down at jackie, whom is he is just under a foot taller than, and smiles softly, extending a hand. "Its nice to meet you, my name is Jan." The man with the umbrella laughs and pats the other on the side. "We are all done here. Lets get lunch." He says, and the two of them make for the door, leaving in the rain.
  78. <ThePolice> Now, left to each other, and the woman behind the desk, Jan relaxes. "You seem familiar too." He says softly
  79. <JackieLegs> As the boy says Jan its like a flip was switched and she remembers the boy as he used to be, Jackie smiles and looks at Jan noticing how thin he is "Jan is me Jackie, What happened to you? I haven't seen you in a long time"
  80. <ThePolice> Jan continues to smile, looking at and through Jackie. "Oh. Hello Jackie, I'm sorry I didn't remember you." he punctuates this with a dry, and entirely empty laugh. "I've been very busy with my new friends. I had lots of fun. I missed you though."
  81. <JackieLegs> Jackie looks slightly perplexed the way he looks and what he says seem to contradict each other in her mind "Iv missed you too, you are seriously a mess right now though when was the last time you ate something?"
  82. <ThePolice> Jan just stares down at her, and slowly looks over himself, his clothes and his arms. "I don't remember." He continues to smile softly at her, a smile which if she would remember, is subtly different from his former smile. It is wrong.
  83. <JackieLegs> Jackie looks sadly at Jan "Well lets go get some food then you look like your starving" Jackie grabs Jans hand and starts to pull him out of the office towards the kitchen
  84. * ThePolice is now known as TheRiotSquad
  85. <TheRiotSquad> Jan lets himself be pulled along. Walking in pace with Jackie. He stares at her for a long time, looking at how strange she seems, and how he must look to her. After a short distance he musters enough strength to speak. "Lillith died." He says, his face and tone blank.
  86. <JackieLegs> Jackie stops in her tracks and turns to look at Jan "Died ... Lilith... Who told you that?"
  87. * ChanServ sets mode +q on #Sunnybrook-ic2 SirGoldFish
  88. * ChanServ gives channel operator status to SirGoldFish
  89. <TheRiotSquad> Jan stares down at Jackie, hand in hers. "I just talked to Wendy, and some new girl named Akemi." His face cold, and showing no emotion, as the easing droplets of rain continue to wet his face.
  90. <JackieLegs> Jackie looks at Jan and Smiles "You have met Lilith before correct, Are you honestly telling me you think she died? I mean i haven't seen her in awhile but i don't think she is dead"
  91. <TheRiotSquad> Jan stares at Jackie. And continues to stare for quite some time before speaking, letting the rain run down his clothes, soaking his new scarf again. He speaks slowly, and quietly to her, at long last, giving her a peircing gaze. "I knew her better than anyone." At this he lets go of her hand. "I'm just happy she is free." He says, and begins to walk toward
  92. <TheRiotSquad> the cafeteria again.
  93. <JackieLegs> Jackie moves and places her hand on his shoulder "Not that way where going to the dorm kitchen its better stocked" Jackie brushes past him and leads the way
  94. <TheRiotSquad> Jan turns and follows
  95. <JackieLegs> Jackie enters the kitchen and starts grabbing ingredients to make curry as soon as Jan enters the room she removes the cat from her head and tosses him at Jan's chest "Would you mind holding onto that fuzzball while i whip us up some curry?"
  96. <TheRiotSquad> The cat flies at Jan, who barely outstretches his hands in time to catch it as it as it tumbles down his jumper clawing all the way. The cat looking quite shocked tries to scurry out of his hands, but he cradles it closely to his wet chest and pets it softly. "Curry" he says blankly.
  97. <TheRiotSquad> "That sounds nice. You are a good friend Jackie." He says, softly smiling that same wrong smile while she works. He looks around, and pulling over a chair, sits and stares. 'I never talked to her about her father.' he thinks alone. 'I wonder what she would think if...' he trails off as Jackie hurriedly begins throwing together ingredients.
  98. <JackieLegs> --Entering the common room--
  99. <JackieLegs> Jackie moves into the common room heading towards the dorm kitchen
  100. <SirGoldFish> Sam is currently sitting on the couch, taking up as much space as possible, her feet up on the table. She waves at the two. "Hey Jackie, new person." She licks her teeth, observant individuals may notice her teeth are a little red from just eating about a pound of raw meat.
  101. <TheRiotSquad> Jan Continues to follow Jackie, staring as he can at the creature on the couch, face blank as ever, and eyes distant.
  102. <JackieLegs> Jackie waves and waits for Jan to react before moving on "Hey sam how are you?"
  103. <TheRiotSquad> He raises a hand to wave, but stops and puts it at his side. 'horrible, terrible, must be test, be good. Im a good boy.' Jan smiles softly at the creature. "Hello ... Sam was it?"
  104. <SirGoldFish> "Oh, me? I am doing fairly okay, just ate my meal, got to see Patches today, tend to him a little, excersisd, the works."
  105. <SirGoldFish> "Yup, that's my name." She smiles
  106. <SirGoldFish> *smiles at Jan.
  107. <TheRiotSquad> A twitch in the leg. Jan tilts his head and smiles softly. "It is very nice to meet you Sam."
  108. <SirGoldFish> She raises an eyebrow very briefly at Jan's mannerisms before returning to a neutral expression. "You too, bud. What's your name?" She asks Jan.
  109. <TheRiotSquad> Jan continues to smile softly, clasping his hands together. "Forgive my manners, my name is Jan Torrez. I used to be a student here!"
  110. <SirGoldFish> "Well, uh, welcome back to Sunnybrook, need help getting settled in or are you good?"
  111. <TheRiotSquad> 'Hurry, test, good boy'. Jan allows himself to look thoughtful for a moment before letting his hands go to his sides. "I should be fine, it seems many people I knew are still here. But thank you." His soft smile returning as he looks down at her.
  112. <JackieLegs> Jackie smiles and waits patiently for there conversation to end, her stomach growls `i haven't eaten all day and from the looks of Jan he hasn't eaten in some time i hope this conversation goes by fast`
  113. <TheRiotSquad> Jan turns to Jackie, "Food?" he asks, the question completing itself.
  114. <SirGoldFish> "That's cool, where you two heading?"
  115. <JackieLegs> Jackie looks at Jan and then at Sam "Ah we are going to head to the dorm kitchen im kind of famished and this guy looks like he could eat a horse"
  116. <SirGoldFish> "I just ate, but uh, mind if I join you two? Being here alone is kind of /boring./"
  117. <TheRiotSquad> 'Dont' Jan turns again to Sam ,'Be', returning his smile and outstretching a hand, 'Bad.' "Why of course, lets get to know each other!"
  118. <JackieLegs> Jackie looks at Sam "We where going to catch up but if you want to join it shouldn't be a big deal"
  119. <SirGoldFish> "Sure, lemme just wash my hands since I just ate." If you look down, her palms are tinted slightly red from eating raw meat. "I'll catch up with afterwards."
  120. <TheRiotSquad> Jan leaves with Jackie.
  121. <JackieLegs> ackie enters the kitchen and starts grabbing ingredients to make curry as soon as Jan enters the room she removes the cat from her head and tosses him at Jan's chest "Would you mind holding onto that fuzzball while i whip us up some curry?"
  122. <SirGoldFish> Sam enters the kitchen a bit later, her hands and mouth cleaned of anything dirty or strong smelling.
  123. <JackieLegs> Jackie continues placing out some pans and starts washing some potatoes to be diced "That little on in your hands is named Olive i got him a little while after i last saw you."
  124. <TheRiotSquad> Jan lets the cat play over his fingers, as it eventually comes to rest against his arm. As Jackie says Olive Jan visibly flinches. Jackie feels Jans presence attempting to prod her mind.
  125. <TheRiotSquad> Jan tears through the meager defense that Jackie rallies, and immediately sets to work, feeling up and down her recent dreams for weapons. In the waking world Jan, tosses the cat to the floor and rushes jackie, catching her before her stumble brings her to the ground, and bracing her up with his arm and shoulder while holding her hand at her side with his
  126. <TheRiotSquad> other.
  127. <TheRiotSquad> Jan for all of this is heavy with sweat and has a terrified frantic look in his eyes, as he wrestles with Jackie, and is grimacing inbetween rapid breaths.
  128. <SirGoldFish> Sam goes wide eyed at this, no clue what's happening. "Woah, woah, what the fuck is going on here?"
  129. <JackieLegs> Jackies dreams are a mix of the same one she has had for countless nights and random dreams of training sessions with animals mostly squirrels but sometimes the cat that Jan just tosses to the floor
  130. <SirGoldFish> She raises her arms, ready to defend herself or beat the shit out of one of them.

  132. <SirGoldFish> *fists
  133. <TheRiotSquad> Jan tenses after a few moments, and retreats from Jackies mind with great effort. Letting go of her in the waking world and stumbling backwards, away from Jackie. Jan seeing Sam in a defensive posture, recoils in fear.
  134. <JackieLegs> Jackie struggles to stand and looks over at Jan noticing his reaction she turns to Sam "Sam...im fine please put your fist down" Jackie looks over at Jan "Jan what just happened?"
  135. <SirGoldFish> "What the fuck was that!?" She says, her arms crossed and her eyes filled with an excessive amount of fury.
  136. <TheRiotSquad> Jan shakes hard as he braces himself against the wall, eyes wide with terror as he stares down at Sam, composure does not come easily as Jan runs the gambit of his mission. Jan begins darting his eyes around the room looking for purchase before seeing, and remembering the door, which he bolts towards.

  139. <TheRiotSquad> Jan doesn't even see Sams foot before he ends up face first on the ground. He immediately scrambles to stand.
  140. <JackieLegs> Jackie moves towards Jan "Jan whats going on why are you trying to run?"
  141. <SirGoldFish> She says as she goes to block Jan from escaping so easily.
  142. <TheRiotSquad> Finding his feet, Jan stands, and braces himself, desperate to calm down. He stares blankly at Jackie for an extended beat, and spares a glance from the corner of his eye to Sam before returning to Jackie. "I cant be around your cat." Jan manages at last, between low, deep breaths and his own shaking.
  143. <SirGoldFish> "So, you nearly assaulted her because of a cat?" She says, no longer angry. Just confused.
  144. <JackieLegs> Jackie looks over at Olive and he leaves to room "Ok he is gone, Since when do you not like cats?"
  145. <TheRiotSquad> "Its not the cat." He manages. "I cant tell you. I do what Im told."
  146. <SirGoldFish> "Oh, okay, well, then just next time please just ask and not go wild like that." She chuckles. "Sorry for tripping you."
  147. <JackieLegs> Jackie looks perplexed "If its not the cat then it had to be something i said, And who is telling you to do things?"
  148. <TheRiotSquad> Jan visibly relaxes. Showing a soft smile he speaks to Sam. "Its no problem really. Thank you for understanding. I'm a good boy." Turning to Jackie, its Jans turn to be confused. He looks puzzled for a moment before responding. "What are you talking about? No one is telling me to do anything?" Jan, as if realizing for the first time where he was looks at his
  149. <TheRiotSquad> soaking wet clothes he had still not changed out of. "I should probably go change. I shouldn't be wet for this long. Ill get sick."
  150. <JackieLegs> Jackie moves closer to Jan "Ok why don't you go change and ill finish cooking in here does that sound like a plan?"
  151. <TheRiotSquad> Jan nods his smile returning. "I would like that."
  152. <TheRiotSquad> Careful not to slip or trip, Jan makes his way out of the room and up the stairs.
  153. <SirGoldFish> Sam chuckles nervously. "Well, alright." ~Who the fuck says they're a good boy?~ She moves out of the way of Jan.
  154. <JackieLegs> Jan would notice Olive sitting next to the door as outside, Jackie moves back into the kitchen "Well again i can say this place never has a dull moment"
  155. * Endorb has quit (Quit: http://www.mibbit.com ajax IRC Client)
  156. <SirGoldFish> "Heh, that's true, but hopefully there will be a few dull moments in our future." She says with a small, slightly nervous smile. ~So, okay, weird, scared by cats, this guy is odd, but largely harmless?~
  157. <TheRiotSquad> Jan sprints up the stairs, removing the keychain and the watch from his pocket, and fumbling with the key as he runs, reads its room number, before dashing off down the 3rd floor hall. As he runs he begins to quietly mumble his safety mantra. Stopping at his door, and fumbling with his keys he stops and steadies himself back against his door.
  158. <SirGoldFish> Sam turns to Jackie. "Uh, is he always like this, Jackie?"
  159. <TheRiotSquad> Carefully taking out the watching and thumbing its back open, he takes the key, in it and winds it three times before shutting it holding it to his chest. The rush of relief and peace is immense, and at that moment, Jan slides down his door until he is resting on the floor with his feet under him. He stays there for some time.
  160. <JackieLegs> Jackie places rice in the rice cooker and sets it to cook she then goes about dicing up her ingredients while heating a pan on the stove , Jackie looks up at Sam "Well no not really i mean there have been incidents around him but he seems really different from when i last saw him"
  161. <SirGoldFish> "Alright, well I hop he is alright" She shrugs and takes a seat.
  162. <TheRiotSquad> Left to his thoughts, Jan rapidly regains his composure, and slowly, carefully rising to his feet opens his door. Stepping inside and locking the door behind him he strips carefully while eyeing up his old room. The sheets have been changed, and it looks like the sliding metal doors on the closet were fixed. The dresser, which although cracked, was still
  163. <TheRiotSquad> functional was left how it is, although it seems the broken pieces had been swept up. Moving over to it, he reached in for a pair of new clothes, still wet and clammy as he was, all Jan wanted was clean clothes. Picking a grey shirt, a pair of black pants, and a once baggy hoodie that now just barely fit him he stepped back into the hall and passed down
  164. <TheRiotSquad> towards the kitchen.
  165. <JackieLegs> Jackie places the chicken in the now heated pan with some butter making sure to cook it thoroughly before moving onto the next steps "He should be fine after he gets a good meal I hope"
  166. <SirGoldFish> "Yeah, I know I'm better after a good meal."
  167. <TheRiotSquad> Jan knocks once on the door before opening it, and taking up a chair next to Sam.
  168. <TheRiotSquad> "Hey"
  169. <SirGoldFish> "Sup." She says, she says with a overall neutral demeanor, even if her glagsaw smile of stitches says otherwise.

  172. ...
  173.
  174. <SavanahHolland> Wendy mumbles harsh whispers under her breath, only being able to make out the word 'soon' and a broken part of the word 'free'. She stands on her own, Akemi doesn't need to help her stand at all, but she doesn't move, her eyes locked on the direction Jan had left in. Her clothes and face soaked, not expression at all. And now she knew, Jan was back.
  175. <Kioku> Akemi rubs Wendy's back, looking at her with concern. What's she thinking? What does Jan mean to her? What's she whispering? No matter the case, she'll be here to hold her.
  176. <SavanahHolland> Jan meant little to her, but maybe their little interaction was enough. Probably the most traumatic thing thats happened to her in SunnyBrook was /his/ fault. But now, that has passed, she has been through so very much worse. She slowly moves, straighting her back, her eyes still dead on where Jan had went. Turning her body to the dorms, but not her face as she takes in one very last glimpse. Walking through the rain
  177. <SavanahHolland> to the dorm building, making sure Akemi follows, but her expressions show nothing.
  178. <Kioku> Akemi's worry only grows as she follows willingly and silently, hoping that Wendy will be okay, that she'll explain.
  179. <Kioku> \Who was he to her? How many other people here know of him?\
  180. <SavanahHolland> Wendy walks slowly, silently, the muddy grass squishing under her feet, she didn't seem to care as she closed in on the doors. The bone chilling rain that went into her very core still falling, she didn't care. Jan knew it, more than anyone else. Lilith was dead. She had died. Wendy opens the door without a sound, comming inside and letting Akemi follow, up the stairs with little sound.
  181. <Kioku> Akemi half-waves toward Sam on the way through the common room as they get to the stairs and ascend, unaware of Wendy's thoughts... and thus unable to stave them off.

  184. <SavanahHolland> Wendy finally makes her way up, every movement like heavy silk. She knew where she was going, her mind was blank, she had no reason to stumble. Jan knew it. He knew it and did not waver. Wendy will not either. She will lie to Lucette, to Akemi and tell them that Lilith is still alive. She's not. She goes into her door room, taking the key out, no fumbling, she had no need to fumble. She did not waver. Opening the doo
  185. <SavanahHolland> r with a click.
  186. <Kioku> Akemi pauses outside the door, not wanting to get more water in the room, but darts in after a moment to snatch up a towel and waits to see if Wendy is going for their bathing supplies or just planning to change and dry off instead. She doesn't mind either way just now.
  187. <SavanahHolland> Wendy doesn't reach for the bathing supplies, just picking up one of her usual white towel that was tinted a light pink, holding it to her side as she just stripped the wet slop of clothes from her body. No caring about if anyone sees her, using the towel to dry her body and running it through her now short hair.
  188. <Kioku> Akemi bumps the door closed quickly and similarly strips and starts drying herself, watching Wendy with the same concern as before and barely resisting the urge to just hug her. For the first few seconds. She doesn't manage to avoid it after that, draping the towel over her shoulders and wrapping her arms around Wendy to pull her close. "Please tell me what you're feeling, Beloved...?"
  189. <SavanahHolland> Wendy wraps the pink towel around her thin body, tucking in the front so it doesn't fall. Akemi comming in and holding her, the girl still not clothed, leaving Wendy in any right mind with a blush. But nothing came to her cheeks. She just looked blank, or even sick to her stomach at the same time. She says in a voice that is almost silent "Jan is back."
  190. <Kioku> Akemi just holds her tighter, not knowing what that /means/ in any real sense. "I'm here for you. Please let me in?"
  191. <SavanahHolland> Wendy's eyes seem to dull even more, remembering the ash, remembering Lilith, it was still her fault. She could not waver, Jan knew it, and now she did as well. Going a little limp in Akemi's arms "Jan is..." She wavered. Tears comming to her eyes as they stream down her face, the guise of rain now gone.
  192. <Kioku> Akemi makes a tiny sound that can't quite be placed, and holds tighter, not noticing the tears right away but tasting that something is wrong. She pulls the girl over to the bed and spreads her towel over it, pulling Wendy to lie next to her to better hold her.
  193. <SavanahHolland> Wendy follows along, staying mostly limp and letting out small shivers. The tears continue to fall from her unexpressive gunmetal blue colored eyes. She just stares at wherever her eyes land dully. Jan really /is/ back.
  194. <Kioku> Akemi wraps Wendy up in her arms and a leg, holding her as close as she can protectively and tilting the girl's head to meet her eyes. \Please talk to me... please...\
  195. <SavanahHolland> Wendy shivers as she locks eyes with the violet in Akemi's eyes. The tears falling down her cheeks quickly like shooting stars in the night sky. "Jan.. why is Jan back...?" she say quietly, not asking to really anyone in the room.
  196. <Kioku> Akemi rubs Wendy's back, still looking concerned and a little lost. "I don't know... I don't know..." \Tell me in your own time, but please tell me!\
  197. <SavanahHolland> Wendy's eyes widen, the first little bit of human emotion comming onto her face, distorting into anger, sadness and fear. "Why is he back!?! Why did they let him back?!" she would nearly be screaming it, but her words are slightly hushed. Why would they let Jan back? He was wrong, he was destroyed. Not that the real one wasn't destroyed either. Both were always wrong.. but this... this was so much worse.
  198. <Kioku> "Let..." \This reaction...\ Akemi takes a sharp breath. "... Did he hurt you?" Akemi asks in a tone that practically compels an answer.
  199. <Kioku> Akemi leans closer, if that's even possible, pressing against Wendy with her body yet paying the fact no mind.
  200. <SavanahHolland> Wendy answers, almost too quickly, too dulled as the anger fades away "no", Jan didn't hurt her, it wasn't that bad, it was just some ash, that's all it was. No, it wasn't just ash. It was so much worse. The guards pointing fingers, missing gaps in her memory that were only filled with recordings. Yelling, screaming, the same ash she remembered, running away from always. Maybe it was worse than him just hurting her,
  201. <SavanahHolland> but no one had to know that.
  202. <Kioku> Akemi kisses Wendy's cheek softly, burying her face in her neck afterward. "Please... please tell me what happened? You know you can trust me no matter what..."
  203. <SavanahHolland> Wendy holds the girl tightly "I do trust you.. I just don't think.. I can talk about it right now.. I'm sorry.." she says softly.

  205. <Kioku> Akemi squeezes Wendy comfortingly. "It's okay, it's okay. I'm here for you, I'll always be here for you. There's no hurry, I'll listen whenever you're ready."
  206. <SavanahHolland> Wendy holds Akemi a little tighter to herself, Akemi wasn't dead, Lilith was. The thoughts echoing through her mind, what Jan had said to her alone. Also that she knew Lilith was dead, Jan knew it, Wendy now knew it as well. It was true, and she couldn't waver, but she still did. Clinging on to some little strand of hope, that felt like at any second could be cut away, by bloodied scissors.
