- Meta type:
- - Pick race
- - Distribute 18 points (max attribute rating for races is reduced by 1)
- ○ Exceptions to troll's charisma, which stays at max 4
- ○ Edge remains unaffected (6 for most races, 7 for humans)
- - Magic / resonance starts at 0
- ○ Attribute points can be applied, but caps at 3
- Deckers, Techomancers & Magic users:
- - These play a different game than the rest and is often unique
- - The GM is familiar with some of the rules, but using them will slow the game down QUITE a lot
- - Some of these options is limited to players the GM knows is familiar enough to play them
- ○ New players does not get to play deckers or technomancers, along with some limitations to magic
- - Magic users have a broader usage and works better with the meatworld, so certain options are open to new players
- ○ Adepts are fine, especially if limited to passive powers (active ones require slightly more work but also fine)
- ○ "spell casters" are quite direct and will work fine, but best if player knows what spells does
- ○ Astral plane-users are limited for the same reason deckers and technomancers are limited, Viewing the astral plane is fine however.
- Qualities:
- - Get 10 karma to spend on qualities (not used for anything else, is lost if not spent)
- - May gain more karma by getting negative qualities (this karma can be saved for later)
- - Max karma from negative qualities is capped at 25 (effectivly 35 karma on positive qualities)
- - May still take negative qualities after cap, but does not gain karma from it.
- - PS: GM can and will limit some qualities, like Protohuman.
- Skills:
- - Get 1 rank in 2 different skill groups (1 rank in each skill within each of those skillgroups)
- ○ Can stack with the singular skills below, but caps at 4
- - Set 2 different skills at rank 4
- - Set 2 different skills at rank 3
- - Set 2 different skills at rank 2
- - Set 2 different skills at rank 1
- - Skills caps at 4 (Proficient)
- ○ A single skill can be increased to 5, but this cannot be a combat skill like pistols
- § Supposed to reflect a character's job or regular work
- Knowledge skills:
- - Distribute 20 points amongst knowledge skills (cap at 4 per skill)
- ○ If logic is higher than intuition, distribute more points in professional & Academic
- ○ If intuition is higher than logic, distribute more points in interessts & street
- ○ If both attributes are the same, then distribute freely.
- Language:
- - Gain a common language that spoken where the game takes place
- ○ Set language to 4 (Proficient)
- - Gain a language or a dialect from where the character came from
- ○ Dialect if it overlaps with the first language
- ○ Set Language to N (native)
- Gear: (CLEARLY not balanced yet)
- - Weapons
- ○ Availiability limited to 5 (restricted or forbidden only matters when you meet law enforcement)
- ○ Choose 2 weapons
- § 1000 nuyen worth for primary weapon (including modifications, clips and ammo)
- § 500 nyten worth for secondary weapon (including modifications, clips and ammo)
- ○ Can opt to not take a secondary weapon, and spend 500 extra on modification on primary weapon (cost of primary weapon still cant escalate above 1000 nuyen)
- § This is not reccomended by the GM, but not enforced
- - Clothing
- ○ Starts with 2 sets of common clothing
- § Does not grant access to places with dress code or require some sort of standard
- - Armor:
- ○ Does not start with armor but can buy later
- - Commlink:
- ○ 1000 nuyen worth of commlinks (unspent is saved for later)
- § It is reccomended to get a renraku sensei if you value security
- § 1x sony emperor & 1-3 meta link burners is the best reccomendation
- - Cred Sticks:
- ○ 2x standard credsticks
- § If you use, you swipe it, and retain the credstick itself
- § If you bribe, you effectivly give the credstick away
- - Fake Sin:
- ○ If you did not take the SINner quality, you may opt to have a rating 1 fake sin
- - Lifestyle:
- ○ Starts out with Low, but money is running short, unless the first payment after gamestart is met, the character is reduced to squatter lifestyle
- - Money:
- ○ Get 10 000 Nuyen to freely spend on gear
- § May not spend money on weapons
- § May only buy cyberware of standard or used quality
