  5. This is to inform you, I no longer require the business account with Santander Business Banking
  6.  
  7. I was very unpleasantly surprised how this transaction went down.
  8. Everything that could go wrong, went wrong.
  9. First, when I applied for the account, I had been assured my old account, Lloyds bank. will be switched over to the new Santander account, which then didn't, and we just left it at that, thinking we will do that ourselves. My colleague put money into the account, only when deposited, the taller told my colleague the card doesn't work, and cant be used to make payments. He tried to withdraw the money from the account again, to which the taller said that they couldn't do that, without a working card. I had to come down to the bank myself, withdraw the cash, and deposit with Lloyds, and then go to the cash&carry to purchase stock.
  10. Next was to get a new card, which the person who opened the account for me, Mr Andrew, I don't remember his title, told me he will do.
  11. After a few weeks of not hearing anything from Santander direct or Andrew, I went to the branch, and had to find out I have to order one myself over the phone. I then told them to close the account.
  12. I left 20£ in the account, so it pays for the first month, even though I didn't use the account at all!
  13. I went on holidays, only to come back to a letter of charges for the last 2 months. The account went into minus. Called up, told them what happened, they rectified it and made the account balance 0. When I went to the branch again, they told me Id have to call again, which I did. Got this address and started writing this letter.
  14. I was not happy with the customer support, or rather the lack thereof.

  16. Ill stick to Lloyds bank, even if they charge me 70£ a month, at least I get proper customer support, and when the person in the branch says they will do something, they always do.
