  6. [17:01] ->> Channel created on 6/12/2013 2:34:26 PM
  7. [17:02] * Ivan (Domo@sux-B9D9571C.hsd1.il.comcast.net) has joined #OverthereGame
  8. [17:03] * Kain is now known as Karsten
  9. [17:05] <KamenWriter> Lemme open some stuff
  10. [17:05] * Happymancer is now known as Elsa
  11. [17:05] <KamenWriter> Also Happymancer
  12. [17:05] * Rudiger (Gents@29845C87.B74CD33E.6BF78421.IP) has joined #OverthereGame
  13. [17:05] <Elsa> Also Happy what?
  14. [17:06] <KamenWriter> Oh
  15. [17:06] <KamenWriter> You ninja'd me
  16. [17:06] <KamenWriter> Changed your name RIGHT before I asked :B
  17. [17:06] <KamenWriter> ANYWAY
  18. [17:07] <KamenWriter> WELCOME BACK TO: THE WORLD.... AT LARGE
  19. [17:08] <KamenWriter> Last time the boys beat a big bad fella. They got out with their lives.
  20. [17:08] <KamenWriter> Now they have three more generals to meet and beat, can they do it? Uncle Sam says they can.
  21. [17:09] <KamenWriter> Sponsored by the refreshing taste of Miller's Root Beer. Miller's: The better beer.
  22. [17:10] <KamenWriter> So last time you spoke with Celebi a little before you got your day started.
  23. [17:10] <KamenWriter> Ivan first, since he doesn't want to go too late
  24. [17:11] <KamenWriter> So Ivan, you head out to explore Terrakion's base.
  25. [17:11] <KamenWriter> But give me a perception check first
  26. [17:11] <Ivan> 3d6+2 (+2 vs Ambush)
  27. [17:11] <DiceMaid-9001> Ivan, (+2 vs Ambush): 11 [3d6=5,2,2]
  28. [17:12] <KamenWriter> No ambush
  29. [17:12] <KamenWriter> But you do notice something strange
  30. [17:12] <KamenWriter> On the east side of the town, you notice that the tree line appears... closer
  31. [17:14] <KamenWriter> If you compare the treeline with the city Hall building, you can see that the trees come right up to the back of the City Hall building.
  32. [17:14] <KamenWriter> There was some space between them yesterday.
  33. [17:14] * Ivan squints at the treeline and approaches carefully. "Is growing too fast?"
  34. [17:14] <KamenWriter> It seems to be perfectly normal trees
  35. [17:15] <KamenWriter> However, it's only to the east that this is happening. The other three sides of town are same as they ever was.
  36. [17:15] <KamenWriter> Perhaps there's something to the east affecting their growth
  37. [17:16] <Ivan> 3d6+2 Occult likely culprits
  38. [17:16] <DiceMaid-9001> Ivan, Occult likely culprits: 7 [3d6=2,2,1]
  39. [17:16] <KamenWriter> You don't have much of an idea. Something grass type, certainly.
  40. [17:17] <KamenWriter> Either way, knowing this, do you still begin to explore Terrakion's base?
  41. [17:18] <Ivan> "I tell others vhen ve return." He says down to the egg in his bag, then continues to the north.
  42. [17:18] <KamenWriter> Okay
  43. [17:18] <KamenWriter> Soon enough you arrive at the eastmost entrance to the cave. It is uncovered, but also unguarded.
  44. [17:20] <Ivan> "Good, feya was right so far." Ivan walks over to the cave entrance, still wary of lurking Sudowoodos.
  45. [17:22] <KamenWriter> You walk in easily. Except for the normal array of pokemon you might find in a cave, the place seems abandoned.
  46. [17:22] <KamenWriter> Zubats flutter by, paying you no mind, Geodudes lay lackadaisically on the ground
  47. [17:23] * Ivan lets out Misha to help scout down the tunnel, intending to turn left at the fork where he went right last time. "Excuse me," he offers to the Pokemon he walks around.
  48. [17:23] <KamenWriter> You can even see new holes that weren't there before. Onix holes running through the mountain.
  49. [17:23] <KamenWriter> The Geodudes wave lazily. This is odd. Wild pokemon aren't usually so... friendly towards strangers.
  50. [17:24] <KamenWriter> Same with the crowd of diglett that go bobbing by. They stop momentarily and squeak a hello
  51. [17:24] <KamenWriter> You turn left at the fork in the road, naturally.
  52. [17:25] <Ivan> "Very friendly, not like wild Pokemon at home." He gives Misha an ear rub.
  53. [17:26] <KamenWriter> Now that you're not being chased, you can notice that this tunnel is fairly artificial. The Rock types that were using this place as a base must have dug it.
  54. [17:27] <KamenWriter> Almost immediately, you notice that ground types have completely taken the place over
  55. [17:28] <KamenWriter> Baltoys, Cubones, and even a few Turtwigs wander around.
  56. [17:28] <KamenWriter> Eventually you come to another split in the tunnel.
  57. [17:28] * Ivan squats down to one of the nearby ground types. "Did Terrakion chase you out?"
  58. [17:28] <KamenWriter> Straight ahead or to the left.
  59. [17:29] * Ivan forgets, of course, that he can't speak Italian.
  60. [17:29] <Ivan> He looks between the two tunnels and thinks, looking for any signs of a big Pokemon like Terrakion moving through.
  61. [17:30] <Ivan> 4d6+2 Survival
  62. [17:30] <DiceMaid-9001> Ivan, Survival: 21 [4d6=3,4,6,6]
  63. [17:30] <KamenWriter> The biggest threats would be Onix. However, neither of these tunnels appear to be Onix-tunnels.
  64. [17:31] <KamenWriter> As long as you don't blunder down any Onix holes (Usually circular, and jutting into and out of the rock at odd angles, and usually, (But not always) shorter than you can stand up at your full height.
  65. [17:32] <KamenWriter> You should be okay
  66. [17:32] * Ivan continues straight ahead, then, assuming the left tunnel leads back to the western entrance.
  67. [17:33] <KamenWriter> Alright.
  68. [17:33] <KamenWriter> Eventually, you come out in a large chamber.
  69. [17:34] <KamenWriter> stone stalagtites hang from the cieling. This seems to be a large, natural chamber.
  70. [17:35] <KamenWriter> However, where the rest of the tunnel felt fairly cool, as you step into this chamber, you feel quite warm
  71. [17:35] <KamenWriter> And the further you go inside, the warmer it gets.
  72. [17:36] <Ivan> "Warm again? Maybe Groudon move in."
  73. [17:36] <KamenWriter> Oddly enough, some warmer pokemon have even made their home here. Slugmas for example. They usually only show up near active volcanoes
  74. [17:36] <KamenWriter> <Maybe>
  75. [17:36] <KamenWriter> You hear
  76. [17:37] <Ivan> (is that the Groudon color?)
  77. [17:37] <KamenWriter> You can't quite tell where the voice is coming from.
  78. [17:37] <KamenWriter> (Yes)
  79. [17:37] <KamenWriter> But it seems to be from further inside the chamber.
  80. [17:38] <KamenWriter> <Welcome. Make yourself at home.>
  81. [17:38] * Ivan looks around the cavern as he walks in, pulling at his collar a bit from the heat. "When you said you would find cave, I didn't think you meant this one."
  82. [17:38] <KamenWriter> <All the others were taken.>
  83. [17:39] <KamenWriter> Then you see him. He emerges from the darkness, his scales emitting a faint red glow.
  84. [17:39] <Ivan> "Should I ask by who?"
  85. [17:39] <Ivan> "Or is that too much like help to risk?"
  86. [17:40] <KamenWriter> <Well, let's just say you might need to meet them sooner or later.>
  87. [17:41] <KamenWriter> <So what brings you here, pard?>
  88. [17:42] * Ivan fans himself. "I wanted to see if Terrakion left anything here. Is looking like no."
  89. [17:42] <KamenWriter> <All his soldiers dispersed pretty quick once word came that he was defeated.>
  90. [17:43] <KamenWriter> <Even quicker when I showed up.>
  91. [17:43] <KamenWriter> He shows his teeth. Oh dear. He has a lot of them.
  92. [17:44] <Ivan> "Good." He sighs. "May not need to kill him after all if no one here to help."
  93. [17:45] <KamenWriter> <One thing you might like. If you go thataway...> He points, <and follow the Paras, you might find something useful.>
  94. [17:46] <KamenWriter> <Beyond that, I think unless you're certain you want to get into it with me, you might not want to hang around me much.>
  95. [17:46] <KamenWriter> <The other two are watching pretty close since you sprung me.>
  96. [17:48] <KamenWriter> He pointed towards a cavern towards the back of the room, By the way
  97. [17:48] <KamenWriter> Opposite of the way you came
  98. [17:49] <Ivan> "I thought as much. I'd prefer you all stay out of this, is not fight for any of you. Always a pleasure." He nods to the Groudon and turns to leave out the back of the room.
  99. [17:49] <KamenWriter> The Groudon nods, before disappearing back into the darkness.
  100. [17:49] <KamenWriter> As you exit the room, you can feel the temperature cooling.
  101. [17:50] <KamenWriter> And as you walk along the cavern, sure enough you can see Paras crawling around, mostly away from the warm chamber.
  102. [17:51] * Ivan keeps walking, careful not to step on any little bug feet.
  103. [17:51] <KamenWriter> Some of them disappear inside cracks in the wall, but most of them seem to crawl for their lives away from you and towards a central "Home" base.
  104. [17:52] <KamenWriter> Eventually the tunnel curves, and you see light.
  105. [17:52] <KamenWriter> Straight ahead is the western entrance to Terrakion's cave, and to the left is another tunnel. The Paras are crawling to the left.
  106. [17:53] <KamenWriter> Also notable: If you get to close, the Paras pinch at you.
  107. [17:53] <KamenWriter> They are not as friendly as the ground types seemed to be.
  108. [17:54] <Ivan> In that case, he recalls Misha and lets out Elona to sit on his shoulder and hopefully deter the bugs from getting too aggressive, then heads to the left.
  109. [17:54] <KamenWriter> Alright.
  110. [17:55] <KamenWriter> This tunnel curves around and downwards steeply.
  111. [17:55] <KamenWriter> It also begins to become fairly warm and humid. It makes sense that Paras would like it down here.
  112. [17:55] <KamenWriter> As you turn a courner, however... WOW
  113. [17:56] <KamenWriter> There's another small chamber here with Paras and even a few Parasect hanging around.
  114. [17:56] <KamenWriter> Surrounding them all around are bioluminescent mushrooms all over the walls, floor, and cieling.
  115. [17:57] * Ivan rummages through his bag and pulls on his gas mask, recalling the bird to protect her in case of spores.
  116. [17:57] <KamenWriter> Probably a good idea.
  117. [17:57] <KamenWriter> Those Parasects (two of them) don't seem very happy to see you
  118. [17:58] * Ivan holds up his empty hands in an act of peace.
  119. [17:58] <Ivan> 2d6+1 Charm
  120. [17:58] <DiceMaid-9001> Ivan, Charm: 5 [2d6=1,3]
  121. [17:58] <KamenWriter> No sir, they don't like it
  122. [17:59] * Ivan backs out of the cave instead.
  123. [17:59] <KamenWriter> You can see their big mushrooms bulge out before firing spores out at you.
  124. [17:59] <KamenWriter> However, the gas mask protects you
  125. [18:00] <KamenWriter> However, they do not take further action, just watching you warily.
  126. [18:00] <KamenWriter> It seems that they aren't used to things that don't fall asleep
  127. [18:00] <KamenWriter> If you want to figure out what the mushrooms are, you might want to make an Education check of some sort
  128. [18:01] <Ivan> (Education or Survival?)
  129. [18:01] <KamenWriter> Probably education
  130. [18:01] <KamenWriter> Survival would just say "DON'T EAT STRANGE MUSHROOMS"
  131. [18:01] <Ivan> 3d6+2 Gen Ed
  132. [18:01] <DiceMaid-9001> Ivan, Gen Ed: 13 [3d6=4,4,3]
  133. [18:02] <KamenWriter> You know for a fact that these mushrooms could be valuable. They have chemicals that affect Pokemon, sometimes in very beneficial ways.
  134. [18:03] <KamenWriter> That's all you know off the top of your head, you won't know unless you talk to someone who knows medicine a little better.
  135. [18:03] * Ivan looks for one within easy reach to harvest and bring back to the medics.
  136. [18:04] <KamenWriter> Alright.
  137. [18:05] <KamenWriter> You go into the chamber slightly to try to claim a mushroom.
  138. [18:05] <KamenWriter> Roll me...
  139. [18:06] <KamenWriter> Athletics
  140. [18:06] <Ivan> 2d6+2
  141. [18:06] <DiceMaid-9001> Ivan, 2d6+2: 10 [2d6=4,4]
  142. [18:06] <KamenWriter> You go for it.
  143. [18:07] <KamenWriter> You're able to grab some glowy mushrooms off of the wall, but as soon as you do, you begin to feel a LOT of pinching
  144. [18:07] <KamenWriter> And the pinching gets far more painful, chasing you out of the chamber.
  145. [18:07] <KamenWriter> 4d20
  146. [18:07] <DiceMaid-9001> KamenWriter, 4d20: 34 [4d20=6,3,5,20]
  147. [18:08] <KamenWriter> four of them attempt a leech life, although you are too fast for three of them... but one crits on you.
  148. [18:08] <KamenWriter> 2d6+6
  149. [18:08] <DiceMaid-9001> KamenWriter, 2d6+6: 10 [2d6=3,1]
  150. [18:08] <KamenWriter> +5 attack
  151. [18:09] <KamenWriter> 15 damage.
  152. [18:09] <KamenWriter> But you manage to get away, back up the tunnel and towards the light.
  153. [18:09] * Ivan hops back, holding his very pinched leg. "{Alright, I go!}"
  154. [18:10] <Ivan> He starts to navigate back to camp with mushroom sample in hand.
  155. [18:10] <KamenWriter> Alright.
  156. [18:11] <KamenWriter> Karsten has unfortunately JUST left to go hunting, however, you see the beginning of whatever farm he's attempted to start wherever he decides to start it
  157. [18:11] <KamenWriter> It is now the 3rd time slot
  158. [18:11] <KamenWriter> Do you still rest?
  159. [18:12] <Ivan> Yes, after handing off the mushroom to Karsten and telling anyone else in the village about the trees.
  160. [18:12] <KamenWriter> Alright.
  161. [18:12] <KamenWriter> Cool
  162. [18:13] <KamenWriter> Ivan sleeps off the painfull pinchmark on his leg
  163. [18:13] <KamenWriter> ALRIGHT
  164. [18:13] <KamenWriter> The rest of you!
  165. [18:14] <KamenWriter> Lets go with Elsa
  166. [18:14] * Elsa floats around, experimenting with how high she can levitate
  167. [18:14] <KamenWriter> Okay Elsa, you spend your first timeslot exploring the Bakery
  168. [18:15] <KamenWriter> There is quite an unsavory smell coming from it. Not as bad as from the bakery, but pretty bad.
  169. [18:16] <KamenWriter> As you walk inside, you note how dusty it is inside.
  170. [18:16] <Elsa> Anything worth salvaging?
  171. [18:16] <KamenWriter> Although
  172. [18:16] <KamenWriter> Perception
  173. [18:17] <KamenWriter> There's some money in the cash drawer (you gain 4 dollars)
  174. [18:17] <Elsa> 2d6+4+1 AP
  175. [18:17] <DiceMaid-9001> Elsa, AP: 12 [2d6=4,3]
  176. [18:17] <KamenWriter> There are trails in the dust
  177. [18:17] <KamenWriter> Trails of fowl smelling slime.
  178. [18:17] <KamenWriter> *foul
  179. [18:17] <KamenWriter> You also notice debris here and there
  180. [18:18] * Elsa ushers Wyrda forward
  181. [18:18] <KamenWriter> It seems like there are pokemon in here
  182. [18:19] <KamenWriter> The trail of slime leads to the brick oven which hasn't been used for years.
  183. [18:19] <KamenWriter> The debris seems to center around a closed shelf for baking supplies.
  184. [18:20] * Elsa tks the oven open
  185. [18:20] <KamenWriter> \{'o'}/ It's a Grimer!
  186. [18:21] <KamenWriter> It seems to puff itself up as soon as the oven is open.
  187. [18:21] <KamenWriter> TRying to make itself more intimidating
  188. [18:22] <Elsa> <Oh, do you have any intention of fighting?>
  189. [18:22] <KamenWriter> Uh oh
  190. [18:22] <KamenWriter> Psychic talk spooks the grimer
  191. [18:22] <KamenWriter> It deflates instantly and seems to scrunch itself up into the corner.
  192. [18:23] <KamenWriter> It doesn't seem to be very belligerent
  193. [18:23] <KamenWriter> You even get some feelings of relief at seeing a human, inbetween terror at confronting a confusing human that might also be psychic
  194. [18:24] * Elsa shrugs, <Alright, I will tell the others not to disturb you. Simply don't threaten them.>
  195. [18:24] * Elsa goes over to the shelf
  196. [18:25] <KamenWriter> As you get close, you see the shelf shudder a bit
  197. [18:26] <Elsa> <And what is in there?>
  198. [18:26] * Elsa directs at the shelf
  199. [18:26] <KamenWriter> It shudders more
  200. [18:26] <KamenWriter> It seems to be another poison type
  201. [18:28] <KamenWriter> Open the shelf?
  202. [18:28] <Elsa> <I don't mean you harm, don't retaliate when I open this up.>
  203. [18:29] * Elsa does open it up
  204. [18:29] <KamenWriter> \{owo}/ It's a Trubbish
  205. [18:30] <KamenWriter> He's got moldy flour ringing his mouth. He appears to be sifting the mold out of a bag of flour and eating it.
  206. [18:30] <Elsa> <How much of the supplies in here are still clean, or how much do you not find edible?>
  207. [18:31] <KamenWriter> Seeing that you're human, the Trubbish seems to calm down
  208. [18:31] * Elsa tells Wyrda to look around the rest of the store while she talks with them
  209. [18:31] <KamenWriter> He looks around the shelf. There doesn't appear to be much that's fit for human consumption
  210. [18:33] <KamenWriter> In fact, a half-empty carafe of spoilt milk is particularly horrible to behold with your nose
  211. [18:33] <KamenWriter> Although the trubbish seems to enjoy the smell
  212. [18:33] * Elsa kneels down, <As expected, I'll tell the others not to disturb you either. If you wish to come out and see them I doubt they will attack a neutral target.> She wrinkles her nose and doesn't say anything
  213. [18:33] <KamenWriter> The Trubbish seems okay with this
  214. [18:34] * Ivan (Domo@sux-B9D9571C.hsd1.il.comcast.net) Quit ( Connection reset by peer )
  215. [18:34] * Elsa stands back up and goes to bury her face into Wyrda's fur to get rid of the smell
  216. [18:34] * Ivan (Domo@sux-B9D9571C.hsd1.il.comcast.net) has joined #OverthereGame
  217. [18:34] * Elsa does another quick check to see if anything is of value
  218. [18:35] <KamenWriter> Nothing much except for the 4 dollars and the poison types
  219. [18:36] <KamenWriter> 4 dollars in Italian Lira, naturally
  220. [18:36] <KamenWriter> But it's only worth about 4 marks
  221. [18:36] <KamenWriter> You exit the bakery
  222. [18:37] <KamenWriter> And MEANWHILE Rudiger and Karsten
  223. [18:37] <KamenWriter> You are both going to bond with your pokemon
  224. [18:38] <KamenWriter> Give me either a Charm, Intimidate, or Education: Pokemon check
  225. [18:38] <KamenWriter> And say what you're going to try, because neither pokemon is very friendly
  226. [18:40] <Karsten> (Alright, I'll roll after Karsten says his bit I think)
  227. [18:41] <KamenWriter> K
  228. [18:41] <Karsten> (You want the actual dialogue or a generalized version of what he's trying to get across?)
  229. [18:41] <KamenWriter> Whichever you like.
  230. [18:42] <Rudiger> 2d6+3 Rolling uh Intimidate right I can do dialogue in a sec
  231. [18:42] <DiceMaid-9001> Rudiger, Rolling uh Intimidate right I can do dialogue in a sec: 11 [2d6=5,3]
  232. [18:45] * KamenWriter waits on the edge of his seat
  233. [18:46] <Rudiger> "Okay, listen to Command. No bite." He points. "And ve should vork on orders, Soldier!"
  234. [18:46] * Rudiger salutes
  235. [18:46] <KamenWriter> Hmmm.
  236. [18:46] * Karsten lets out the Riolu inside of the hospital and tries to reason with her, sitting on the floor nearby, crosslegged. His gun is set aside, but Edelweiss and Saft are around, making sure no funny business happens. He speaks up, in Italian. {Good morning. I know you don't fancy this situation at all and see us as enemies. But I do not think it has to stay that way. I regret that we
  237. [18:46] * Karsten have to have this battle at all, really. You likely consider yourself a prisoner of war, but I have no intention of keeping you cooped up constantly inside your ball or forcing you to fight against your will. I would just like to attempt to get to know you better, and for you to get to know us humans. That's all. So, for now, can we agree to a cease of hostilities?}
  238. [18:46] <Karsten> 2d6+2+2 Charm and two action points.
  239. [18:46] <DiceMaid-9001> Karsten, Charm and two action points.: 10 [2d6=2,4]
  240. [18:47] <KamenWriter> Rudiger: the Carvanha doesn't bite but... it also completely ignores you
  241. [18:48] <KamenWriter> You aren't sure if it didn't bite you because you ordered it to or if it's just not hungry right now.
  242. [18:48] * Rudiger marks it as progress
  243. [18:50] <KamenWriter> Karsten: The Riolu doesn't like it much and seems to curl up in a corner if you don
  244. [18:50] <KamenWriter> t stop it.
  245. [18:51] * Rudiger yawns a bit. "{Maybe the mother tongue works better?}"
  246. [18:51] <KamenWriter> You both make a little progress, you THINK, but nothing really groundbreaking.
  247. [18:51] <KamenWriter> And eventually it comes time to get on with your day.
  248. [18:51] * Karsten sighs. {I see.} he says, still speaking in Italian. {I'm hoping time and good intentions will change your mind. For now I'll let you stay out of your ball as long as you remain under supervision of Edelweiss and Saft.}
  249. [18:52] <KamenWriter> I assume Elsa comes back from the Bakery and tells you both about the poison types
  250. [18:52] * Elsa does so
  251. [18:52] <Rudiger> "{Good eye soldier.}" He salutes. "{But I have other things I must attend.}"
  252. [18:53] <KamenWriter> So, lets do Karsten first for the second timeslot
  253. [18:53] * Karsten looks surprised at Elsa, saying in German, {Sleima and Unratutox? I see, thank you, Elsa.}
  254. [18:54] * Karsten gets up and sees about looking for a nice place to start that farmland. But shit, he doesn't really have any tools, does he...
  255. [18:54] * Elsa nods and floats off, letting both litwicks sit on her shoulders
  256. [18:54] <Karsten> Literally floating?
  257. [18:55] <KamenWriter> Well, you have your trench shovel. You could start a small garden using your trench shovel to turn over the earth.
  258. [18:55] <KamenWriter> And you have water in the well in the center of town.
  259. [18:55] * Karsten stares. Huh. In any case, he may as well make use of what they have, then.
  260. [18:55] <KamenWriter> You couldn't make a very large garden, but a small one for some berry bushes would be within reason.
  261. [18:57] <KamenWriter> Lets roll something. You get to work on this garden of yours.
  262. [18:57] <Karsten> Let's place it. as close to the hospital as we can for now. He goes, bucketing water back and forth and making neat little rows, planting his three Cherim berries and 1 Persim berry.
  263. [18:57] * Rudiger heads to another building (Okay just let me now when Kamen)
  264. [18:58] <KamenWriter> Roll me an athletics check Karsten
  265. [18:58] <Karsten> Okay, you want me to roll Athletics for hard work or Survival for know-how??
  266. [18:58] <Karsten> Okay then
  267. [18:58] <KamenWriter> Yes
  268. [18:58] <KamenWriter> Survival for know-how is a good idea
  269. [18:58] <Karsten> 3d6+3
  270. [18:58] <DiceMaid-9001> Karsten, 3d6+3: 16 [3d6=6,6,1]
  271. [18:58] <Karsten> 3d6+3 luckily they both have the same dice value
  272. [18:58] <DiceMaid-9001> Karsten, luckily they both have the same dice value: 9 [3d6=3,2,1]
  273. [18:59] <KamenWriter> Alright! You get a bug up in you
  274. [18:59] <KamenWriter> And you make a fairly awesome little garden, even putting up some minor fencing to keep wild pokemon out.
  275. [19:00] <KamenWriter> And you are able to plant all four berries you mean to
  276. [19:00] <Karsten> "Whew!"
  277. [19:01] <KamenWriter> A good day's work
  278. [19:01] <KamenWriter> Meanwhile Rudiger
  279. [19:01] <Karsten> {That should cover food for the rhino once it grows... oh, shoot. That was the last of my berries, wasn't it? Hopefully he can graze around the edge of town with no problems...}
  280. [19:02] <KamenWriter> You go to the Tailor's right?
  281. [19:02] <Rudiger> (yes)
  282. [19:02] <KamenWriter> Alright. The tailor is is relatively good repair
  283. [19:03] <KamenWriter> Few of the windows are broken
  284. [19:04] * Rudiger looks outside a bit before heading in
  285. [19:04] <KamenWriter> Nothing odd outside.
  286. [19:04] <KamenWriter> Inside however... uh oh
  287. [19:05] <KamenWriter> Something was in here
  288. [19:05] <KamenWriter> You look around and see that there are strange cocoon-like curtains all around.
  289. [19:06] <KamenWriter> Except they're made of silk, cotton, wool, and all other things that clothes are made out of
  290. [19:06] * Rudiger examines a cocoon further.
  291. [19:06] <KamenWriter> There are also some leaves mixed in, but the strangest thing is that all of the material seems sewn together in odd configurations
  292. [19:06] <Rudiger> (Do I roll anything)
  293. [19:07] <KamenWriter> You could roll Education: Pokemon
  294. [19:07] <Rudiger> 1d6+1 lol
  295. [19:07] <DiceMaid-9001> Rudiger, lol: 7 [1d6=6]
  296. [19:07] <KamenWriter> You have no idea what could do this. Probably a pokemon
  297. [19:08] <KamenWriter> But yes, most, if not all of the clothes in the shop have been cannibalized into the cocoons and webbing.
  298. [19:08] <KamenWriter> If you listen, however, you can hear... chewing
  299. [19:08] * Rudiger pokes a cocoon
  300. [19:08] <KamenWriter> When you poke a cocoon, you can hear a squeak
  301. [19:09] <KamenWriter> And then the chewing stops all throughout the store
  302. [19:09] * Rudiger looks around a bit
  303. [19:09] <Rudiger> "{Maybe not a good idea?}"
  304. [19:09] <KamenWriter> And then, give me a...
  305. [19:10] <KamenWriter> Perception check
  306. [19:10] <Rudiger> 3d6+1 Eyes
  307. [19:10] <DiceMaid-9001> Rudiger, Eyes: 14 [3d6=5,5,3]
  308. [19:11] <KamenWriter> You are able to see the shadows move through the silky, wooly cocoon and move out of the way
  309. [19:11] <KamenWriter> Just as two huge scythe-like claws burst through
  310. [19:12] * Rudiger tries to jump out of the way
  311. [19:12] <KamenWriter> You hear a screech from the Leavanny as she faces you down. It seems the cocoon is full of little Sewaddle babies chewing up leaves and cloth and sewing it together.
  312. [19:12] <KamenWriter> Several other Cocoons screech as well and burst open.
  313. [19:12] <KamenWriter> There are 4 Leavannies around the Tailor's shop
  314. [19:14] <KamenWriter> Speeds if you stick around
  315. [19:14] * Rudiger looks at the levannies. "Mean no harm, apologies?" If they can even understand English
  316. [19:14] * Rudiger sends out Red baron just in case
  317. [19:14] <KamenWriter> They don't seem like they can be reasoned with
  318. [19:14] <Rudiger> (20 Speed on both of us)
  319. [19:14] <KamenWriter> Alright then
  320. [19:15] * KamenWriter sets topic to: Rudiger, Baron 20, Leavannies x 4

  439. [19:45] <KamenWriter> Instead of attacking, she heads back to her own cocoon and picks it up like Santa claus' sack, slinging it over her shoulder and attempting to escape through a window in the back of the room.
  440. [19:46] <KamenWriter> You could get in one more attack before she gets away, or you could interrupt it if you have pursuit
  441. [19:46] <KamenWriter> What do

  465. [19:55] * Rudiger nods and returns to the base to acquire food and tell everyone about this endeavor
  466. [19:57] <KamenWriter> ALRIGHT
  467. [19:57] <KamenWriter> Elsa
  468. [19:58] <KamenWriter> Meanwhile you head to the City hall
  469. [19:58] <KamenWriter> Give me a perception check to notice the same thing Ivan noticed before
  470. [20:00] <Elsa> 2d6+4
  471. [20:00] <DiceMaid-9001> Elsa, 2d6+4: 13 [2d6=4,5]

  473. [20:00] <KamenWriter> The eastern tree line is closer than it was yesterday
  474. [20:00] <KamenWriter> You remember the ruins you guys saw to the east and wonder how long the eastern tree line has been enveloping the town.
  475. [20:03] <KamenWriter> So, Elsa, you walk inside the city hall and into the little jail cell. You see Terrakion sitting stiff as a board with the Rhyhorn at his feet.
  476. [20:04] <KamenWriter> "I was wondering when someone would come."
  477. [20:04] * Elsa steps over and sits down, <Assuming I am coming to torture or interrogate you?>
  478. [20:06] <KamenWriter> "Unless you're soft."
  479. [20:08] * Elsa lets Wyrda and Anbruch away to play with the toys she had brought with her, <Call me soft then, you already said that torture wouldn't work.>
  480. [20:08] <Elsa> <There are tricks to avoid pain and heartbreak, I would not be surprised if you could simply will yourself through most things.>
  481. [20:09] <KamenWriter> "Hmmph. I'm not sure I've ever heard of telling the enemy you won't talk actually working."
  482. [20:09] <KamenWriter> "Then why are you here, human?"
  483. [20:09] <Elsa> <To talk, so to say.>
  484. [20:10] <KamenWriter> "What is there to talk about? The weather?"
  485. [20:10] <Elsa> "Vould you rather me speak in ze natural tongue." {In my native tongue.} <Or continue in this way.>
  486. [20:10] * Aeros is now known as Cait
  487. [20:10] <KamenWriter> "I can understand either way."
  488. [20:10] <KamenWriter> "It's your choice."
  489. [20:12] <Elsa> <Easier for me then this way. I came here to talk to you, ask small questions, mostly things that hold no importance in this 'war'.>
  490. [20:13] <Elsa> <I doubt you will allow any information that would give us a strategic advantage, so I will try to avoid most of that.>
  491. [20:13] <KamenWriter> :I "You really want to gossip like an old woman?"
  492. [20:14] <Elsa> <I can torture you, if it would make you feel more at home.>
  493. [20:14] <KamenWriter> "Ask your questions, human. I don't promise I'll answer."
  494. [20:15] <Elsa> <I heard earlier that another of us let Groudon out, allowing the option of involving that group in this fight as well. You spoke of humans breaking mountains and depriving pokemon of their homes. Did none ever get close to you?>
  495. [20:15] <Elsa> <It seems that Groudon holds humans in a higher light than you.>
  496. [20:17] <KamenWriter> "Groudon is a fool. He'll put our whole effort in jeopardy."
  497. [20:18] <KamenWriter> "He was tainted years ago by some silly thing that happened and trounced around the world like some common housepet."
  498. [20:19] <Elsa> <But he wishes to defend those who held him against his will?>
  499. [20:20] <KamenWriter> "We had an agreement. He would stay neutral and simply observe and Kyogre and Rayquaza would stay out of it. Those two are more trouble than they're worth."
  500. [20:20] <KamenWriter> "Hell those three."
  501. [20:21] <KamenWriter> "He insisted on observing, however, so it was up to me to keep an eye on him."
  502. [20:22] <KamenWriter> "I'm sure you know how that turned out. Your spy is rather good at what he does."
  503. [20:23] * Elsa smiles and nods, <We didn't even hear all of it until after it was brought up. If there is any consolation, I doubt that the other two will be brought into the fight unless something drastic happens.>
  504. [20:24] <KamenWriter> "It would be best if you didn't. It would help no one for those three to get involved."
  505. [20:25] <KamenWriter> "For one thing, that bloated whale would bully his way into our army, there would be flooding and erratic weather, and then the green one would spend all his time fighting BOTH of our armies."
  506. [20:26] <Elsa> <Hrm, as we're not as well equiped to survive rising tides, I will take your word for it.>
  507. [20:26] <Elsa> <Before you retired to this room, you suggested that we not give you the chance to attack us again. Do you really wish to die instead of suffer the indignity, or was it just a warning that you will attack us again?>
  508. [20:26] <KamenWriter> "Wouldn't you like to know?"
  509. [20:26] <Elsa> <I must admit, we have not been the most diligent in guarding you. I doubt that with your friend you would be unable to escape.>
  510. [20:27] <KamenWriter> "I wouldn't be much use like this, would I?"
  511. [20:27] <KamenWriter> He seems ashamed as he says this.
  512. [20:27] <KamenWriter> And looks away from you.
  513. [20:28] <Elsa> <I know it is not the most flattering form for you to inhabit, but you do not seem incapable by human standards.>
  514. [20:29] <KamenWriter> "Still, the sheer dishonor of being defeated and outmaneuvered by humans."
  515. [20:29] <KamenWriter> "And after I was even warned against attacking you directly..."
  516. [20:30] <Elsa> <By your brother, you mentioned when you spared me.>
  517. [20:30] <KamenWriter> "Bah!"
  518. [20:31] <Elsa> <Hrm, was I out of line to mention him, do you not get along?>
  519. [20:31] <KamenWriter> "I won't tell you anything about him."
  520. [20:31] <KamenWriter> "You'll have to find him yourself."
  521. [20:32] <Elsa> <Fair enough, if I continue to have the same luck, I will stumble onto his doorstep as well.>
  522. [20:33] <KamenWriter> "Fat chance of that."
  523. [20:33] <Elsa> <A question I know you are likely to be hesitant about answering, do you know who picked us as champions of humans.?>
  524. [20:34] <KamenWriter> He seems to give a little sardonic laugh.
  525. [20:34] <Elsa> <We were simply thrown here, literally in this case, and told the situation.>
  526. [20:34] <KamenWriter> "He didn't even tell you? Some General he is."
  527. [20:34] <KamenWriter> "I'm sure he's testing something about the human spirit or something."
  528. [20:34] <KamenWriter> "Well, I'll give you no advantage by telling you anything you want to know."
  529. [20:35] <KamenWriter> "Only that he's not to be trusted. He's never to be trusted."
  530. [20:35] <Elsa> <Just tell me that it isn't Celebi. I don't believe that I could stand to be ordered around by the fairy.>
  531. [20:35] <KamenWriter> "That time traveling airhead? Of course not."
  532. [20:35] <Elsa> <He is roundabout and intentionally blithe in his responses.>
  533. [20:36] <KamenWriter> "You're working for someone far more serious."
  534. [20:36] <KamenWriter> "Mark my words, honor means nothing to your so-called 'champion'."
  535. [20:36] <KamenWriter> "I suggest you have as little truck with him as possible."
  536. [20:37] <KamenWriter> He shuts up after that. He clearly said more than he meant to say.
  537. [20:38] * Elsa smiles again and nods, leaning against the wall, <While you are likely hesitant to tell me this, it might work towards your benefit. What are the end results of one side or the other winning? If we lose, humans die out, that has been established. What happens if we win?>
  538. [20:38] <KamenWriter> >:I "You won't."
  539. [20:38] <Elsa> <Killing nature would kill off humans in turn, and killing off Pokemon would hardly seem a fair trade.>
  540. [20:39] <KamenWriter> He says nothing. Only staring at the wall.
  541. [20:39] <Elsa> <What has been set to occur on the off chance that we did win?>
  542. [20:39] <KamenWriter> "It's out job to ensure that miscarriage of justice is not allowed to occur."
  543. [20:40] <KamenWriter> "That's all I'll say to you, human. Unless you intend to torture me for further useless words I bid you goodnight."
  544. [20:40] <KamenWriter> *our job
  545. [20:40] * Elsa looks outside, <Bit early to sleep, but alright. Did you want any food or something to pass the time while you're here?>
  546. [20:41] <KamenWriter> "..."
  547. [20:41] <KamenWriter> "...Some leafy branches for the rhyhorn. He refuses to leave my side."
  548. [20:41] <KamenWriter> "He's a damn fool."
  549. [20:42] <KamenWriter> He scratches the rhyhorn behind the ear.
  550. [20:42] * Elsa stands up, <I'll go grab some from around town. It's not as if you can be angry at someone for staying true to something.>
  551. [20:43] <KamenWriter> He nods and says nothing more.
  552. [20:43] * Elsa heads out to grab some and drop them off before leaving
  553. [20:44] <KamenWriter> As you walk back from delivering the branches, you see Ivan coming back
  554. [20:44] <KamenWriter> And also hear the commotion from the Tailor.
  555. [20:44] <KamenWriter> Karsten, I'm gonna go back on what I said before and say you haven't left yet so you can take part in the conversation.
  556. [20:45] * Elsa heads over
  557. [20:45] <KamenWriter> You see the Leavanny flee out the southern window and then a few moments later see Rudiger come out. He seems hurt.
  558. [20:46] <KamenWriter> Cait, you're there too, sure.
  559. [20:46] * Karsten scratches his head and hurries over once he sees the fleeing pokemon.
  560. [20:46] <Karsten> {What is it? A daytime attack?}
  561. [20:46] * Cait has been in the hospital, resting up, she comes out when she sees everyone else gathering.
  562. [20:47] * Elsa heads inside to check around, with her three fire types out
  563. [20:48] <KamenWriter> http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v44/TheGeek/babies_everywhere.gif
  564. [20:48] <KamenWriter> BABIES EVERYWHERE
  565. [20:49] <Cait> "What is it?"
  566. [20:49] <Karsten> {Captain, are you alright?} he asks taking some medicine out of his medpack.
  567. [20:50] * Cait goes in to see what Elsa is seeing, and gasps.
  568. [20:50] * Rudiger nods. "Assistance would be nice. I defended the area"
  569. [20:50] <Elsa> "Vat is zis."
  570. [20:51] <Rudiger> "{I went to the tailor, was attacked by bugs.}"
  571. [20:51] <Rudiger> he nods
  572. [20:52] <Cait> "They're...they're baby pokemon!"
  573. [20:53] <Rudiger> "Ze brood mothers. I no harm, but still attack."
  574. [20:53] * Rudiger nods, pointing to his wounds
  575. [20:53] <Cait> "...So you fended them off and retreated right?"
  576. [20:53] <Cait> "That's what you did, right?"
  577. [20:53] * Elsa looks around inside more, seeing if there are any males around
  578. [20:54] <Rudiger> "Did but, ze varriors fell to attacks, one escapcaed." He nods
  579. [20:54] <KamenWriter> No males. It seems it was just the mothers and their babies.
  580. [20:55] <KamenWriter> You know that Leavanny don't generally mate for life though, so that's not surprising.
  581. [20:55] <Cait> "escaped. ESCAPED? You killed them! Attacked them! You wouldn't say escaped if YOU were trying to escape!"
  582. [20:55] <Ivan> "Does it really matter what he did if he's still alive?"
  583. [20:55] <Cait> "Yes!"
  584. [20:55] <KamenWriter> And yeah, there are three leavanny corpses.
  585. [20:55] <Rudiger> "Did vat had to, protected self."
  586. [20:55] <Cait> She clenches her fists, "You killed them. you didn't just knock them out, you KILLED them. THEY WERE MOTHERS!"
  587. [20:56] * Elsa heads back outside, "Zere are no males, and you said vone escaped?"
  588. [20:56] * Karsten slaps Rudiger with some bandages and some disinfectant.
  589. [20:56] * Elsa looks over at Cait, a little confused
  590. [20:57] * Ivan huffs. "And if zhey attack first, zhey are not mothers, zhey are soldiers."
  591. [20:57] <Karsten> (You can heal one injury after three hours and you get +20 HP back in addition to rest healing)
  592. [20:57] <Cait> "Did they REALLY attack on their own? Really? I find that really hard to believe from HIM."
  593. [20:58] * Rudiger looks at Cait. "Only attacked vhen hostile"
  594. [20:58] <Ivan> "Says girl who shot first." He crosses his arms and gives Cait a stern look.
  595. [20:58] <Cait> "You've been out to kill all the pokemon here no matter what since the start! Isn't that exactly the opposite image we're trying to push? That we're here for both humans AND pokemon?"
  596. [20:58] <Karsten> "It is hard to say vat it looked like from eiser side." he says, sadly. "But one sing is clear, ve cannot care for all sese baby pokemon."
  597. [20:59] * Karsten ponders on how to get rid of them all without them dying or something. :B
  598. [21:00] <Karsten> "Vat can ve do... ve cannot simply leave sem to starve."
  599. [21:00] * Karsten goes around, looking through the area and taking count and such.
  600. [21:00] * Rudiger looks at Cait
  601. [21:00] <Cait> "Don't you even feel anything?! Look in there! Look how many little ones you've left to DIE, just because you couldn't show restraint. Do you even understand me, with your butchered english?!"
  602. [21:01] <Rudiger> "Ve are var, ve must make decisions,"
  603. [21:01] * Rudiger nods
  604. [21:01] <KamenWriter> There are 105 of them. All of them born fairly recently. if you search around you can find partially consumed eggshells
  605. [21:01] <Ivan> "Zhis is no time to worry about -image-. Our survival and victory must be objective. Zhis preoccupation with ethics vill get one of us killed. War is tragedy."
  606. [21:02] <Cait> "And I'm saying that is wrong! We're humans, we don't have to choose between winning and doing the right thing! We can do both!"
  607. [21:02] <Karsten> "Is sis var not about esics to begin vis? It is vat it seems..." he frowns.
  608. [21:02] * Elsa puts a hand on Cait's shoulder, "Ve should remain calm if zere is somesing to be done vith zose little vones."
  609. [21:02] <Karsten> "I vill cancel hunting trip for evening and gather plants. Ve cannot possibly afford to take care of sem long term, but hopefully sey vill not have to starve."
  610. [21:03] <Cait> 3d6+1
  611. [21:04] <DiceMaid-9001> Cait, 3d6+1: 11 [3d6=3,3,4]
  612. [21:04] <Rudiger> "Sorry if se creatures fall but, var is var."
  613. [21:04] <Rudiger> "Sorry if se creatures fall but, var is var."
  614. [21:05] * Ivan rubs the back of his head. "Zhere is time and place for righteousness, but is not everytime. I know of other colony of bugs, but zhey may not adopt."
  615. [21:06] <Karsten> "Anoser colony?"
  616. [21:06] * Cait was about to calmdown, but that last line from Rudiger gets to her. she raises her hand and slaps him across the face.
  617. [21:06] * Karsten scratches his head. "I vonder if Celebi can offer advice visout 'interfering'."
  618. [21:06] * Elsa gives a little pull to Cait's shoulder, trying to usher them apart
  619. [21:07] <Ivan> "Yes, Paras in Terrakion's tunnel, hoarding zhis..." he retrieves the glowing mushroom from his bag.
  620. [21:07] <Karsten> "Paras? Not... ideal." he frowns and has a look at the mushrooms. "Vat do ve have here?"
  621. [21:07] <Karsten> 5d6+2 Medicine check
  622. [21:07] <DiceMaid-9001> Karsten, Medicine check: 18 [5d6=2,6,1,4,3]
  623. [21:07] <KamenWriter> Ohhhh
  624. [21:08] <KamenWriter> A very rare kind of mushroom.
  625. [21:08] * Elsa steps in between the two of them if Cait doesn't step back
  626. [21:08] <KamenWriter> Lightly hallucinagenic, toxic for humans, but for pokemon...
  627. [21:08] <KamenWriter> You've heard of chemical means of teaching pokemon moves. This kind of hallucinogen might be one of those.
  628. [21:09] <Cait> Cait steps back, she's done. "Don't cancel your hunting trip. go out and kill more pokemon, that's what you germans are good for after all. I'll go gather food for the bug pokemon."
  629. [21:09] <Ivan> "Ozherwise, seems grass types to east, perhaps zhey find shelter there."
  630. [21:09] <Rudiger> "Apology, Ally, if methods bad, but zis is vay of Central"
  631. [21:09] <Rudiger> he directs it at Cait more so
  632. [21:09] * Karsten looks at Cait. "I vas going hunting for -companions-, not food."
  633. [21:09] <Elsa> "Ivan, vat state is ze barricade in?"
  634. [21:10] <Cait> "Then you are better than your superior."
  635. [21:10] * Rudiger looks at cait
  636. [21:10] * Cait doesn't even acknowledge Rudiger's presence.
  637. [21:10] <Rudiger> "If zis problem, handle like soldier and prove vorth"
  638. [21:12] <Karsten> "I am not happy vith situation either but vasting time vorrying about se 'vy' vill not help sese infants. Mistake has been made, cannot be taken back. Must focus on solving se problem before it becomes vorse, yes?"
  639. [21:12] <Cait> She cracks her knuckles, still not looking at Rudiger, "Are you asking for a fight? Do you really think you can beat me?"
  640. [21:12] * Elsa floats up, <Neither of you will be fighting, it serves no point to injure one another if an attack can come at any time.>
  641. [21:13] <Cait> "Unlike your superior officer, I can show restraint."
  642. [21:13] * Rudiger looks over to ccait and then Elsa. "Ve don't need fight. Let's just.... Calm"
  643. [21:13] <Elsa> <If you were able to differentiate sparring and fighting then I would agree to this, as it might let you work out differences. You are more likely to kill each other now.>
  644. [21:13] * Rudiger nods.
  645. [21:13] <Rudiger> "Ve no need zis fight"
  646. [21:13] <Karsten> "Yes, just calm down, please. As I have said, focus on solution now, not cause of problem."
  647. [21:13] * Elsa glares between Rudiger and then Cait
  648. [21:13] <Karsten> "Can vorry about sat later."
  649. [21:14] * Karsten then turns to Ivan. "Sorry, Johann. In any case."
  650. [21:14] <Cait> "I've never killed in cold blood. That is something I wear on my chest with pride. I'm going to gather food for the little ones."
  651. [21:14] <Karsten> "Do not eat sese. Sey are okay for pokemon, may help induce inspiration."
  652. [21:14] <Cait> She then marches off to the east.
  653. [21:14] <Karsten> "But toxic for human."
  654. [21:14] * Elsa sets back down, "Ze barricade seems to be in good enough shape to last ze night, I vill go vith her."
  655. [21:15] <Ivan> "{Just American girl pretending to play soldier. Let her get herself killed.}" Ivan slips into German for a moment.
  656. [21:16] <Karsten> {I would follow as well, but just Elsa is probably good enough, we probably don't want to crowd her.}
  657. [21:16] <Rudiger> "{I don't understand how this woman is so empathetic for the plight of the enemy.}" Gemand again
  658. [21:16] * Elsa heads after her
  659. [21:16] <Cait> She stops, and looks back at Ivan. She heard the word american in that. She then continues to storm off.
  660. [21:16] <KamenWriter> Alright. Alright
  661. [21:17] <KamenWriter> AND SO we leave our boys overseas. Will they be able to overcome their differences and learn to work together? What will become of the sewaddle hoard?
  662. [21:18] <Ivan> (No, they won't)
  663. [21:18] <KamenWriter> Find out next week on THE WORLD... AT LARGE.
  664. [21:18] <KamenWriter> And now a word from our sponsor: Miller's Root Beer: The Better Beer.
  665. [21:19] <KamenWriter> Have you ever had your husband go drinking and come back a mess? Miller's understands. Why not buy him Miller's Better Root Beer instead?
  666. [21:19] <KamenWriter> It's a great sweet taste, and no alcohol.
  667. [21:19] <KamenWriter> So he can enjoy himself safely.
  668. [21:19] <KamenWriter> Buy Miller's Root Beer today, in the beverage section.
  669. [21:19] <KamenWriter> /session
  670. [21:20] <Cait> "Go back, I can gather grass and leaves on my own!" She yells back at whoever the heck follows her.
  671. [21:21] <KamenWriter> Alright.
  672. [21:22] <KamenWriter> Rudiger: You get 90 pokemon exp
  673. [21:22] <Karsten> Wait, did prohibition hit during WW1?
  674. [21:23] <Karsten> Or was it after
  675. [21:23] <KamenWriter> It was after
  676. [21:23] <Karsten> Anyway, Karsten's decidedly scavenging south
  677. [21:23] <KamenWriter> Which means that Root Beer is quite anachronistic
  678. [21:23] <Karsten> Since Cait clearly wants to be left alone
  679. [21:24] <KamenWriter> Alright, CAITMINI
  680. [21:24] <KamenWriter> It won't take too long
  681. [21:24] <KamenWriter> In the morning, before the above drama
  682. [21:25] <KamenWriter> Cait spent her time in the hospital (I assume) hanging out with Aqua.
  683. [21:26] <KamenWriter> So
  684. [21:27] * Cait spends her time resting and recovering with her pokemon in general, giving praise to her two mainstays and words of companionship to Aqua
  685. [21:27] <KamenWriter> Almost as soon as you release the Corsola, you note that she's not as antagonistic.
  686. [21:28] <KamenWriter> However, she is far more depressive. Perhaps it's got something to do with hearing about Terrakion's defeat.
  687. [21:29] * Karsten is now known as Kain
  688. [21:29] <KamenWriter> Charm check (I assume)
  689. [21:30] <KamenWriter> And since you're using up 2 timeslots, you can make two checks. Feel free to roleplay
  690. [21:30] <Cait> 2d6+1 untrained charm wooo
  691. [21:30] <DiceMaid-9001> Cait, untrained charm wooo: 10 [2d6=6,3]
  692. [21:30] <Cait> 2d6+1 untrained charm wooo
  693. [21:30] <DiceMaid-9001> Cait, untrained charm wooo: 7 [2d6=3,3]
  694. [21:31] <KamenWriter> You're surprised to find that the Corsola is actually quite amenable to being charmed.
  695. [21:32] <KamenWriter> She even starts responding to your kind words positively.
  696. [21:32] <Cait> "Hey little boy, cmon now." She rubs him where she thinks he actually likes, "We fought Terrakion hard, he fought hard."
  697. [21:32] <KamenWriter> Your pokemon help as well by including her.
  698. [21:32] <KamenWriter> He
  699. [21:32] <Cait> "We fought on even terms, and he was a strong fighter."
  700. [21:33] <KamenWriter> She calmly listens, but is still hesitent to let you touch her.
  701. [21:34] <Cait> He*
  702. [21:34] <Cait> (ITS YOUR OWN FAULT FOR GIVING ME A MALESOLA)
  703. [21:35] <KamenWriter> (Haha, yeah :B)
  704. [21:35] <KamenWriter> The first timeslot goes by well, but by the second, she seems to begin retreating again.
  705. [21:35] <KamenWriter> However, it's clear you've made some definite inroads.
  706. [21:36] <Cait> "I want you to fight with me; and I promise never to make you fight in a battle you feel uncomfortable in."
  707. [21:36] <Cait> "We aren't fighting for the destruction of pokemon, but to defend coexistance."
  708. [21:36] <Cait> "Would you be there, for me? for Sky and Snow."
  709. [21:37] <KamenWriter> She listens, but doesn't quite meet you all the way.
  710. [21:37] <KamenWriter> He retreats to HIS water dish
  711. [21:38] * Cait lets him.
  712. [21:38] <KamenWriter> Congrats, your corsola is now Loyalty 1
  713. [21:38] <KamenWriter> You still need a command check to order him but the DC is lower now
  714. [21:39] <Cait> 2d6+1
  715. [21:40] <DiceMaid-9001> Cait, 2d6+1: 7 [2d6=3,3]
  716. [21:40] <Cait> (i'd still lose on an average check :B)
  717. [21:40] <KamenWriter> Also my first instinct won't be "He attacks you instead."
