Time Save:
- No heal = 27 seconds
- Heal before ss anne rival = 13 seconds
- Heal before pidgeys = 3 seconds
- Events such as a quick attack from a pidgey or getting an encounter before Vermillion.

Time calculation:

text boxes (~15 frames per box):
- goldeen girl: 14
- misty sequence: 41
- dig rocket sequence: 21
- full restore: 1
- (encounters: 3)
- pidgey girl: ~21 (accounting for 1 quick attack and 1 crit). Minimum = 19.
- raticate guy: ~15
- ss anne ticket guy: ~4
- ss anne rival: 44 (factoring in that the fight has to go perfect + no item use and no swaps)
- get cut: 14

total: 42.75 seconds

15.86 seconds to talk to bike guy

42.75 - 15.86 = ~27 seconds

Can be used for: Goldeen girl, misty sequence, dig rocket sequence, (encounters), pidgey girl, raticate guy, ss anne ticket guy, ss anne rival, get cut.

Route (for maximum time save): Escape rope from Bill, walk to Bike shop guy and mash B then leave, proceed to Misty.
- Need Paras or Spearow (Catching Oddish ends the effect).
- Need to not heal from just after misty until cut menu = need good speed?
- Need enough Horn Attack PP to get through SS Anne Rival.
- Must shop after SS Anne.
- Trade for Dux after shop if needed.

Mechanics:
- Can't open the menu in the overworld.
- Can't access pokemon menu or items menu in battle.
- Can run from encounters.
- Works with red bar.
- Works with leveling up.
- Leveling up out of red bar does not end the effect.

ExtraTricky: "looks like it's worth it to do it for the first part of nugget bridge though something like 13.5 seconds to go to the bike shop, 33 seconds saved on text if you candy after nugget 4"
