Kira, under her breath: "Unless it's consensual..."
"What was that, Kira?"
"Oh nothing"
"It sounded like you said unless it's consensual"
"o-oh, haha, I was uh, just joking to myself".
"I see, of course. A joke. You know Kira, on a totally unrelated note, I was thinking of a new lesson for your Jedi studies. We fight the Empire and Sith a lot, and it's possible they kidnap you or someone you care about. We should go over how to escape such situations later. Unrelated, of course".
"o-okay, sounds good".

The next day, aboard The Defender...
"Very good Kira. Much tighter around the elbows though"
"o-okay" Kira says as she squeezes the rope around her teacher's waist and arms tighter.
"It's very important that it be authentic during our training exercises, so we're ready for the real thing".
"Of course, makes sense" Kira says, trying her best to hide the excitement in her voice. This was always a secret interest of hers, and now to have such an enthusiastic partner for it, suddenly out of the blue, plus her own teacher, she was really happy. Especially since she had been developing kind of a crush on her already, even before this...
"Kira, our Force bond lets me sense how you feel. And no offense, but I don't exactly need a force bond to pick up on how you're feeling right now".
Kira's cheeks blush even redder than they were.
"But I want you to know that I feel the same way. You've been my best friend for a long time now, and I was having feelings of more than friendship recently too".
"Really?" Kira asked as she wrapped more ropes around her teacher's legs.
"Don't be so surprised Kira. You're brave, a good friend, and a good Jedi. We've been through so much together. You're everything I could have hoped for in an apprentice, and a friend. I thought your little comment the other day was a good excuse to bring the topic up".
"I was having feelings too...but I didn't know what to do. Jedi aren't supposed to feel that way. And I had no way of knowing how you'd react. I decided not to say anything...but now that you say you feel the same way, I couldn't be happier."
"I couldn't be happier right now either, Kira" Knight says as Kira puts the finishing touches on a few knots all around her body.
"You've done a wonderful job Kira. Now observe as I demonstrate how to escape".
"Wait, it's missing something. I'll be right back!" Kira says, rushing out of the room.
She returns just a moment later with something behind her back. She smiles wide when she reveals a large ball with straps on either side to her teacher.
"Ah, Kira I don't think that's part of this exercise..."
"Well I think it should be. And Master, you know that force bond works both ways. I can feel your heart skip a beat when you saw it"
"Sensing emotions is not an exact science, it could have been interference from a nearby nebula, or someone else on the ship, or..."
Kira cuts her off "Yeah, I'm sure. Master...?"
"Yes Kira?"
"It's time for you to shut up now" she says as she pushes the ball with straps into the knight's mouth and buckles it behind her head.
Kira sits back on the Knight's bed and watches her struggle on the floor in front of her. "Well? Show me how a Jedi Knight would escape this!"
Knight gives her an eye roll, but does what she says. To Kira's surprise, the Knight does get free within only a few minutes. It's as if the ropes untangled themselves.
"You cheated! You can't use the Force!"
As the knight unbuckles the ball from her mouth, Kira frowns and crosses her arms. "We never said that. This was supposed to a realistic exercise afterall. The Force is your ally, always with you. You only need listen to it, and it will help you whenever you need it."
"Okay, nice lesson, but this time, no Force powers!"
"Alright Kira, no force powers this time..." Knight agrees as Kira sets to work again wrapping her up.

And so begins the happy relationship between Kira and Knight, full of danger, intrigue, saving the galaxy, and lots and lots of "escape training".
