With taut ebon skin clinging to Anansi's massive form, skeletal ribs visibly pierce through flesh with each hissing breath, creating a dark ichor that seeps through fine silvered hairs and drip upon the floor beneath.

Mathonwy steps forward.

We seek the knowledge and sphere of influence that only you wield. Illuminate our ignorance, that we might better serve the Master of Malevolence, our LORD."

Round protruding eyes of reflective argent threaten to escape their shallow ocular cavities, unblinking with no pupil or iris to be seen. Faint images dance across their specular surfaces, yet all is indistinguishable from afar.

Saeva ensures her face remains shrouded.

A smooth voice drifts across the surface of your skin, chilling your senses before ever reaching your ears, "Like a mother, like a friend, you have already shared all with me. I am everyone, and I am you."

A momentary flash of dread crosses Mathonwy's eyes, and he furrows his brow in thought.

Bowing his head hastily, Mathonwy adjusts the hood on an insidious hooded cloak of webs to further conceal his face, stepping back into the throng.

Anansi stands motionless as a disembodied voice whispers succinctly, "To veil yourself is to expose all.

A strand of luminescent silk arcs over Anansi's dark form, falling slowly through the air, feather-light, until latching onto the sleeve of Mathonwy's robe.

With a swift and sinister lurch, the daemon arachnid binds Mathonwy with the silken strand and summons him before her, his hood forcefully drawn back by a long, deft limb which now moves to stroke his face with an unnerving tenderness.

Eyes unblinking, Anansi forces her gaze upon Mathowy, whispering with gelid words, "Let one see you as themself; themself as you. Allow your image to distort their perception. Who will be predator or prey?"

Terror flashes across Mathonwy's face, and for a long moment he is silent.

Seven specular eyes bear down upon Mathonwy, subjecting him to observe numerous reflections of himself within the daemonic gaze, each ocular image portraying a different response to her nearness.

Silken whispers cling disquietingly to your senses like webs to skin. "Who are you, Insidi? Show me, who am I? Are we one? Do you hold sway or are you my prey?"

Eight unnervingly long, restless legs twitch and tap upon the floor in grotesque movements as Anansi deliberates.

Turning her back to the daemon spider, Saeva pushes back her hood and observes all gathered.

Averitti shifts on her feet, watching through the darkness of her hood.

Carmain walks forward solemnly, stopping to face Saeva.

Saeva nods in response as she lowers Carmain's hood, his single remaining eye now exposed.

Daemonic Eminence Saeva Aristata says in Mhaldorian, "Step forward, my brother, and give with glad spirits that which has been demanded."

Saeva raises her own hood to veil her features as she faces Anansi once more.

Carmain steps towards Anansi, lowering his hood and gazes upon her form with deep interest.

Extending a single extremity forward, Anansi trembles with delight as she probes eagerly at Carmain's empty eye socket. "Oh yes, it has seen much and how. She will take from it once more."

Anansi focuses every milky eye upon Carmain as he stands before her ominous form, his reflection warping and contorting into images of varied emotion through each one.

An echoing whisper weaves throughout the chamber, "It built from base to vertex; torn to the bottom once again. Now to rebuild our web with pride or wisdom, will it repeat the same?"

Without warning or hesitation, Anansi tears away Carmain's single remaining eye, withdrawing itgreedily and turning it over in her grasp with a guttural churr of admiration.

Carmain stumbles, gritting his teeth. He chokes slightly before standing tall, staring sightlessly at the spider.

A ruby hydra whips his tail about angrily before stomping the ground with his feet.

Quivering in disquieting movements, Anansi begins to retch and heave with shrill barks of anguish that rattle your mind, scraping upon your senses with discomfort. Gingerly she opens her small mouth in a grotesque gape, jaw contorting back at an obscene angle.

Anansi consumes the eye with a series of manic spasms, a myriad of sharp feet rapping against the stone floor, shambling in anguish. A final, violent shriek rings forth from Anansi as she regurgitates a small web covered sphere from betwixt over-sized falcers. Hastily she unravels the silk-enshrouded object with spasmodic appendages, producing a small reflective orb that she sets carefully upon the ground.

Saeva peers at a specular orb unscrupulously.
