- Currently I am playing in a 3.5 campaign where the main fighter was recently killed; leaving the support fighters (me and another guy) to hold the front while we adventure to recover some diamond dust.
- Now since I was not the main fighter in the party I decided to do a ranger, and a two-weapon fighting ranger. And since I love high AC I went for Combat Expertise and Deadly Defense.
- So here's my character currently. I am considering taking Improved Toughness and an amulet of health to get my HP up to hopefully 55 by next level (only 1000 xp to go!) but I am wondering if there are better options. I am open to Pathfinder feats as well, as like most 3.5 campaigns we are using Pathfinder material.
- Thraviol Enduril
- Elf ranger 6 fighter 1
- HP 34
- STR 14 DEX 21 CON 10 INT 13 WIS 15 CHA 10
- AC 24 (+5 Dex, +6 Mithral shirt, +2 Defense, +1 ring)
- Attack two +2 shortswords +12/+12/+7/+7 (1d6+4/19-20)
- or +10/+10/+5/+5 (2d6+4/19-20) with Deadly Defense.
- Feats:
- * Two Weapon Fighting,
- * Improved Two Weapon Fighting
- * Two Weapon Defense
- * Improved Two Weapon Defense
- * Combat Expertise
- * Deadly Defense
- * Weapon Finesse
- * Track
- * Endurance
- I think that's it....
- Any help I can have would be nice. I'd prefer to take a level of fighter next, improve Dex to 22 (for Con I'm going to get the amulet). I can get my armor class to 30 something with max expertising and full defense but that's giving up all my attacks. It might be useful but then if I get hit I go down in 2-3 hits. Whereas party leader had 80-something HP.
