Some things i've tried are reseting BIOS, reinstalling different linux distros, rfkill unblock all, sudo modprobe ath9k, sudo modprobe ath9k nohwcrypt, among some other common fixes I found across different forums. But no matter what I try the hard block remains on my wifi. And before you mention it, there is no key combo for wifi and the physical switch for wifi on my laptop doesn't make a difference when I flip it.
